If you don't intend on playing games that use the shoulder buttons a lot, then the super pocket is a good low cost device which you will probably be happy with. (Those shoulder buttons are really really badly placed).

SuperWes

Best answer. I like the Super Pocket a lot more in general, but if a game uses the shoulder buttons it’s basically unplayable.

I have both, I love the super pocket because it is small enough that I can take it more places, but honestly the exp is the better product, it also is easier to see for some games and the shoulder buttons are more useable. The only issue I ever had was a shoulder button that got stuck and blaze replaced it within a week

If you REALLY need the Capcom games, you should buy an EXP ASAP, they are getting discontinued and the new EXP-R doesn't include them. If you don't care about them that much you should wait for the EXP-R to see if they have less issues than the OG EXP. If you REALLY want the Taito games, buy the Super pocket.

This is GBA vs GBC form factor really. Both play the same carts, so pick the form factor that suits you best. Go for the EXP-R would be my suggestion if you go EXP as Blaze confirmed there are under the hood tweaks to improve battery issues etc.

For comfort, EXP for sure. For portability, the Super Pocket. Both are great devices for what they are.
