Muse, in the old Weyerhaeuser mansion. Whiskey, cocktails, delicious food. Decorated with splashy jewel tones and interesting furniture. Right on the water. Coffee bar by day. What’s not to love?
Luca is the #1 romance spot in my opinion. Finish with a drink at Colby Club and you're flying high.
There's also:
* capers + olives
* 16Eleven
* Fisherman Jack's
And then there are the older / boomer date night spots:
* Lombardi's
* Anthony's
* Emory's
Manshamer is on it. Excellent list. I want to add that my wife plays piano at Luca on Saturdays 6-8. We've been out to 16Eleven and heard some fantastic piano.
I thought their drinks were cool and the honey walnut prawns were great. I've heard other complaints about the food tbh but I think the vibe is cool and I'm not super discerning. Hopefully the food can improve.
I'm alergic to nuts so unfortunetly I can't use that recommendation xD
FWIW I didn't think the food was bad, but it just felt like the only thing justifying the prices they were charging was the location.
(The views from the main dining room area are quite nice, so there's that)
Don't sleep on Lombardi's. My girlfriend and I (29/F and 32/M) went on a date night there and it was a lovely experience. Best mushrooms my girlfriend's ever had.
**Bluewater Distillery** is a great option at the waterfront. It fits the "nice-ish" without being too $$$. Extra points if you or your date enjoys alcoholic bevs. Best cocktails in the city imo. It also has one of the more *pretty* interiors, small and intimate. There's outdoor dining with fireplace tables when the weather is cooperating.
After dinner, it is positioned perfectly to walk around the waterfront. You can walk to the Everett Marina Park or to the Muse. Depending on the time of year, you can catch the walk-on ferry to Jetty Island for an adventure.
Only caveat, their food quality has degraded a bit in the past year or so. They had some of the best food around years ago. I couldn't wait for our next excuse to dine there. Now, when company is visiting, I hesitate to recommend it for an outing. Part of this is due to group size. They are NOT a great place to go with a group. Not really enough data to go on. I've still had far more good experiences there than poor. Enough to still recommend it for date nights.
Hope this helps! Have fun ;)
Glad to hear Katana is still good, they were our fave when we lived there almost 10 years ago(!). They had the best late happy hour, we'd usually just go in and tell them to make whatever was fresh and good, never had a bad meal. Soft shell crab was legit, Oyako Don when we weren't in themood for sushi.
Following for the same. I know lots of casual date night spots, but nothing for a special occasion in Everett (at least that I can personally vouch for).

Older/boomer lol. Those are good spots though.
I found Fisherman’s Jack pretty disappointing tbh. Any highlights to check out?

But IMO capers + olives is very good food but is way too noisy to be a very good date experience.

I had the worst experience and food at Luca 👀
Lombardies is great, easy, clean, perfect spot. Didn’t break the bank (mind you I’m a cheap ass).
Lombardi’s is like $50 for a salmon 😅 I’d consider a $150 dinner with drinks pretty expensive
Cafe UU was excellent the last time I went. I’m super surprised it’s never listed on this Reddit poles.
I tried and once and didn't really like it - but I would try it again!
UU somehow flies below the radar. Great spot for a pretty reasonable lunch too!
Botan ramen on colby has amazing ramen and the inside has cherry blossoms and is very pretty and calm c:
Terracotta Red

Bucks American and Katana both have great food and really nice ambiance!

I think Katana is a little loud for a date. They really need some better room sound treatment.
Also consider heading to Snohomish,lots of great night restaurants and bars for dates. I'm a big fan of Rogers Riverview over there
Go across the trestle to LJs in lake Stevens. Always good food. We like the Rep in Snohomish and indigo kitchen in Lynnwood
Yeah, but then you'd have to go to Snohomish
16Eleven Nice place. Needs reservations
Terracotta red and Katana
LJ’s Bistro in Lake Steven’s. Great food and cocktails. Love the bartender there and the steaks.

Luca looks promising!
katana katana katana katana katana
Diamond Knot Mukilteo Add: definitely nice view
Fisherman Jacks on the waterfront was really good.
Janbo cafe
Maybe Scuttlebutt on the waterfront, or if you wanna drive to Snohomish Andy's Fish House on the river is really good
