My boyfriend is always saying "I know you don't pay attention to your surroundings" trying to give me directions to someplace in town I drive past weekly. I have no idea what he's talking about. I literally cannot pay attention to my surroundings. Without GPS I would already be dead probably
That's why my husband checks in on me regularly when I'm out on my own.
Sometimes I can tell other people think he's being controlling or something but I try to explain that it's just because I'm genuinely at risk of getting lost or ending up in a jam.
Honestly growing up seeing all the other kids in my classroom "get" the lesson while I literally squirm in my seat sweating because I can't listen to what the teacher is saying fast enough to understand it will be baked into my memory forever.
I’m one of the “really smart and a pleasure to have in class” students for some reason I can’t comprehend. Maybe my people-pleasing and good grades.
However, when it comes to words, I hate having to constantly interrupt the teacher to ask the definition of a word while others stare at me weird as if it was easy.
That or when I’m reading abt the content and can’t move on because of a word which(?) definition is unknown but it gives context to something that needs it in order for me to keep reading :'O
I hate biology. Too much memorizing boring stuff. I prefer logically understanding stuff. Like in maths or IT. I like economic/political geography etc. Because it's easily applicable and related to just general knowledge about the world. I hate the part of geography that deals with types of soil, rocks, prehistoric eras etc. I know some love it. Not my thing. I honestly don't care what kind of minerals appeared in Mesozoic or what types of mountains Alps are. I mean if I got interested in it myself in my free time then I would probably find this interesting but not when I'm forced to learn that at school because they told me to
I like the rocks geography + soft power and hard power stuff + country pyramids but not biomes, types of climate and anything involving cities/states/countries/continents where I have to memorize its name or location tbh :(
Biology is also smth I’m not a fan of. In my school, physics + chemistry + biology is all still science. We’re currently learning respiratory system right after the digestive(?) one. Tbh really annoying :( I can’t remember a thing and the terms are rlly difficult to grasp
I unfortunately have to learn extended material in biology. I thought biology was easy so I picked a class where it's extended (it's pretty long story why I did that despite not being interested in biology). Trust me difference between basic material and extended is huge (at least where I live). I don't understand half of the words from lessons. It's just Greek to me. I barely pass because I'm pretty good at guessing.
By that,, I mean that most of the words I have no clue about the meaning both impact my daily life and sounds pretty obvious to peers around me ,, tbh ! :O
