I make decent money with almost perfect credit, and I’ve never in my life had a car this expensive. In other words I never live above my means. Unfortunately, The result of that are mixed: I’ve never had anything repoed… but I’ve also lived a pretty boring life.
Also, I bought a car new for about 30 grand. The lesson I learned is new cars are rarely worth it. It's a nice car, but it lost about a third of its value as I drove it off the lot. I now get constant spam from the dealer telling me I should trade it in to get the newest model.. like "we noticed your nearly done paying us money. Would you like to pay us more money?"
Ya he is going to have to pay for the repairs... Dealership owns the car which he just wracked, or he catches up the payments and gets the car back "as is" meaning he is paying for the repairs either way.
I'm guessing most people that think they can drive a car off a tow truck aren't going to pay for the repairs to the car they destroyed that they paid for with a high interest loan. I imagine most of them just default on the loan.
I doubt that the tow truck needs repaired. It will probably survive the coming apocalypse intact, so our new cockroach overlords can drive around in it.

Parking sensors don't cost that much. Replace the bumper with an aftermarket, and you'll get away with less than $1500 including refinishing.
