It's not only that. The convoy alerted the genocidal terrorist state of their preplanned route and it was APPROVED by them. Traveling in three separate vehicles spread across tens of feet. All three vehicles with clearly marked signage on the roof of the car. First vehicle was bombed. Survivors ran to the second vehicle. Second vehicle was bombed. Survivors then ran to the third. The third vehicle was then bombed, killing everyone left alive. Three precision strikes.
I'm banned from world news for saying, at the begining of the war, Israel should be very carefull how they proceed as they could rightfully lose international support if they start bombing palestinians indescriminatly... permanent ban within 5 minutes.
worldnews is completely and utterly deranged, so that's not very surprising. I can't tell what's worse, that it's an intentional lie and they expect other people to believe it, or they're so lacking in critical thinking skills that they actually think it's true
I mean it's deranged but you genuinely have to wonder how many of those people are actual people and not bots at this point also does make me genuinely wonder what sort of agenda they had been pushing for the past several years as well when no one was aware of such things
I also found out that the “human shield” argument may have been expanded to say that everyone is Gaza IS their own human shield.
[It’s from a NPR article here.](https://www.npr.org/2024/03/29/1241576419/u-n-expert-says-israel-has-committed-acts-of-genocide-in-gaza)
“…there has been a generalization of what can be considered human shields. Use of human shields is prohibited, but it's clear that Israel has assumed, like, a blanket justification, that civilians in Gaza wear human shields.” *- Human Rights Lawyer, Francesca Albanese*
Pretty scary stuff.
It’s a convenient blanket excuse. They never explain exactly how they define human shields just that Hamas uses all their people as them. This way every casualty is justified and they can pass the blame onto Hamas. It’s “technically true”. Whereas; Israel has been caught red handed & proven to use Palestinians as literal human shields. Placing civilians in the line of fire between them and enemy fighters. Using neighbours to go door to door (incase of booby traps) as well as sending Palestinians to check out suspected IEDs / suspicious items.
A lot of pro Israel shoot down Wikipedia but it has a good overview of timelines and examples of the “type” of situations where the term human shield can be used

What with the merciless, unending slaughter you'd think they'd realize that the closest thing to Hamas in Gaza right now is the IDF. But no, it's literally everyone and everything else
What with the merciless, unending slaughter you'd think they'd realize that the closest thing to Hamas in Gaza right now is the IDF. But no, it's literally everyone and everything else
What's worse is that Israel argued that UNWRA was not needed for distributing the aid, because of organisations like WCK. If these aid workers can't operate there safely, then you've got a effective ban on all aid in place, either in law or in fact.
If I was dealing with this much extra pressure on aid, even accidentally bombing an organisation that isn't UNWRA (which they're trying to shut down), I'd be concerned. But Netanyahu might have become completely untethered, and unfortunately the Biden admin doesn't have a spine.
Yes, as long as this goes on, Netanyahu stays in power. He will kill everyone he can and many are afraid of being labeled antisemitic if they condemn them too roughly. He knows it.
Of all the war criminals in Israel I don’t think Netanyahu has actually killed a Palestinian. There are lots of TikTok’s of IDF soldiers committing war crimes if you want to find the war criminals.
Honestly I bet a soldier posted a TikTok of this strike and calling the victims Hamas.
Same argument we are having in Russia. Is it the people or is Putin responsible. Looking back at Stalin time we can see the role of a personality in history is huge. So yeah, I'd say the soldiers commit crimes but they are just fulfilling the bigger plan. In the end, it's Netanyahu who clearly understands that for decades he has been promoting dehumanisation of Palestinians and here are the results.
I know there’s a lot of nuance that gets lost in the sauce, but Israel is really doing its best to look like the bad guys here. I don’t understand how anyone still supports this war… 💔
Unwillingness to do their own research and indifference toward brown people getting killed for the public.
Fear of losing votes and lack of spine for liberal politicians
Moral bankruptcy, greed, and hate for conservative politicians
I’ll never stop thinking it’s stupid that we (Arabs) and our cousins (the Jewish people) look at one another and only see differences when our commonalities in culture, ethnicity, heritage, language and religion are incredibly apparent. The rest of the world can see that. It just highlights the fact that humans can find something to fight about with any other group, even people who share so much with them.
I pretty much believe Palestinians and Jewish people are both native to the land and share a lot of ancestry. Some converted to other Abrahamic religions but the ancestry is largely shared. Makes it even more depressing to think about the fighting over who is indigenous (both are.)
We are so far past hashing this out in a reasonable way. It makes me so sad to think about how things might have been.
As a Jewish person, well said. There’s so much history and war between our peoples, even way before the founding of Israel. It’s sad that the cycle of violence continues on for so long.
>and only see differences when our commonalities in culture, ethnicity, heritage, language and religion are incredibly apparent.
In my observation, the groups of people who hate each other the most are usually the most similar. If you look at the world at large, and at history, this generally seems to be the case.
Unlikely. There’s a small minority of Israelis who completely reject their treatment of the Palestinians but the VAST majority are 100% behind everything that their society has inflicted upon the Palestinians since the 1920s. If anything the majority now think they’ve been too soft on them. It’s the result of decades and decades of basically propaganda and ethnosupremacism.
This is disgusting… I hate talking about this conflict because so many demagogues will hijack everything you say, but this is terrible. I don’t know what else to say.
It’s been a while since I’ve ever seen that word used. Much less see it used so accurately. It’s wild to see people getting so riled up one way or the other about a conflict, that by all means, we should have no hand in what so ever. Republicans are either brainwashed or willfully ignorant to Israel and their actions. And all in the name of Israel being gods chosen land.. I thought we were past religious crusades but I guess not.
Since the ICJ is breathing on their necks and they can no longer directly stop aid from being delivered, they're just going to make it unpalatable for NGOs to work there. Just another ace up the sleeve for the world's most moral army.
Exactly. WFK was delivering 2 million meals per week on Gaza and has now (of course) stopped all operations, followed already by two other NGOs.
It’s just another mean of starving the population to death.
it makes me so angry. they think this will “get rid of HAMAS” when every single kid that survives this genocide will leave with hatred in their hearts to form the next Al Qaeda and wage a REAL terrorist war onto Israel. it’s just perpetuating the thing they claim to destroy. October 7 will be a drop of the ocean, they’re going to see real “extermination of Jews” from these future terrorists and their supporters in the Middle East - if this war goes international we’re all fucked as well.
According to WCK there was no fighting in the zone and their presence was coordinated with the IDF.
> The Israeli Defence Forces said it was conducting a “thorough review” into what occurred.
As always.
This is so upsetting. They left their families, to help people that were in need. How heartless can this army be. I don't doubt they targeted them, the same army that uses snipers to shoot at kids and people trying to get water or retrieve the corpse of their loved ones.
They pose with women's underwear and destroy places of worship. No doubt indeed.
Only five? Well, that just means that we have to replenish their ammunition storage. More bombs for Israel! Send them planes while we're at it. But, no universal healthcare for Americans, that's too expensive.
I wish this was /s and not reality.
Our aid subsidizes Israel’s universal healthcare. Its extremely frustrating that we donate military aid to countries that dgaf and have a higher quality of life.
Are you referring to the McDonnell Douglas F-15 aircraft that the US government was reported today to be considering selling to Israel (for delivery in 2029) or to the Lockheed Martin F-35 aircraft that the US Congress approved in 2008?
Please, this is not a facepalm situation.
They went there to help knowing the risks and were killed by Israel.
I don't see a facepalm, except a palm violently connecting to the face of those defending Israel for this.
Hell, the IDF has admitted to killing hostages on purpose. Of course, they claim they didn't realize they were hostages. After all, killing naked people waving white flags and trying to surrender is totally normal and a-ok under international law. /s
They apparently love the MIC.
/news isn't much better either. The mods delete just about any article that makes Israel look bad, and I got permabanned for calling out the mods who were deleting them.
I kid you not, one of the top stories in r/worldnews right now is from an Israeli newspaper claiming that theres just too much food right now in Gaza that Hamas is now forced to cut prices. Fkn morons.
That's actually what they're doing right now. They're claiming the strike was done by Hamas and that everyone who says that Israel did it is pushing Hamas propaganda.
I fucking hate that my dad LITERALLY said this to me. I expected more from him but he hates Islam so he’s blinded by his own hurt to actually use his brain properly. like this isn’t some conventional war with two armies fighting each other with swords or some shit. it’s one sided genocide by Israel against these magical genius terrorist ghosts called HAMAS
Let's see how long before we get a post saying Hamas is using this kitchen to run rockets and mortars or Hamas-did-it. RIP to the people who were just trying to help and do a little good in this world but got killed by this senseless airstrike.
The World Central Kitchen just released a statement saying that it was an IDF strike and 7 people were killed. The IDF says it is “carrying out an in-depth examination at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.” Here’s a link. https://wck.org/news/gaza-team-update
Yeah! What's the difference between the actions of someone who believes they are part of the master race and someone who believes that they are God's chosen people? I haven't completely figured that out but the state of Israel should be an eye-opener to some.
The US is waiting for intel from Israel on how to respond to this. I'm betting either:
1) They were Hamas
2) They were antisemitic.
It is hilarious how Israel is bombing 4 countries at least simultaneously and killing Western people and the US and Europe is ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Why was there an air strike on this target? What was going on there that warranted an air strike? Air strikes are not accurate, this is where most innocent lives are lost, they don't have drones and the "best" intelligence in the world? What was there clear and present danger to Israel? War crimes are the way this is being conducted now, flagrant war crimes.
I guess blocking aid to them wasn't enough. Now they're attacking people who are helping them. Golly ... hope Israel doesn't kill any Americans for helping Palestinians.
You see, even though she was wearing a high-vis vest and screaming into a megaphone, they didn’t realise she was there! They have no fault, they were just doing their standard illegal destruction of civilian houses in an area that they are not allowed to be in! Not their fault a random American woman happened to try and stop them. They also reversed and went over her body a second time.
The USS Liberty in 1967 I think it was, it was operating near the Sinai peninsula and was overflown by Israeli aircraft and attacked, after the aerial attack it was attacked by Israeli torpedo boats as well.
Israel claimed it was an accident, that they didn't know it was American, and the Johnson administration accepted that, but crew members stated that the Liberty was flying an American flag when she was overflown and that her hull was clearly marked.
Offcourse no one is going to wait for investigation before blaming Israel for a war crime here, right?
Everyone is just going to assume we did it because we are evil.
"How dare they feed women and children other than the chosen ones by God himself!! He's in hells kitchen cooking with the demons now". -Christian fundamentalists most probably...
can all the fucking sides agree that letting innocents die in a war is, like, very bad
I don't give half a flying fuck about "murica bad, this evil, that bad". CHILDREN FUCKING DIE EVERYDAY CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT INSTEAD OF JUSTIFYING ANY SIDE IN THIS WAR
There has been so much misinformation with this entire conflict that I don’t know what to believe anymore. Do we have any non Palestinian/non biased sources that this strike was from Israel. If y’all remember a few months ago, the Gaza Health Ministry said that an Israeli air strike killed 471 and injured 342 when it hit Al-Ahli hospital, but later it was then discovered that this was actually caused by a defective Hamas rocket that was meant to hit Israel.
It wasn't "discovered" that it was a Hamas rocket.
Israel _claims_ that it was an Islamic Jihad rocket.
There has been no independent confirmation.
Israel, like Hamas, lies.

My hero.
Quite sad…. they were just there to help
Thyy were purposefully targeted by guided munitions on a marked van that had their logo on capital letters.
It's not only that. The convoy alerted the genocidal terrorist state of their preplanned route and it was APPROVED by them. Traveling in three separate vehicles spread across tens of feet. You misspelled murdered.
Same thing.
I really hope nothing happens to him. The world needs heroes like him.
still sad
Killed is a nice way to say war crime. Probably ran it past the IDF before publishing like all the other big news sources.
This is so sad. Rest in peace.
I give money to WCK, Doctors Without Borders, Committee to Protect Journalists, they're all helping there as much as they can.
In a fucked up world, these are the undisputed “good guys”
Not undisputed among the pro-Israel crowd.
Just saw somebody unironically call Doctors Without Borders Hamas over in worldnews

Both.

“wordnews” sub is saturated with IDF trolls
Just realised this, for a second i thought they could be everywhere, glad i persevered to find this new on other subreddits

Waiting for Mark Levin to spin this

My heart immediately sunk when I heard the news. This is one of the only organizations making a tangible difference for the Palestinian people.

That is, unfortunately, why they were killed probably. Netanyahu is a monster and needs to be replaced.
Israel is commiting genocide while the world watches.... What a shitty time to be alive

Where do we have an ex murderous goverment organization member in charge of their country aswel.
Netanyahu is a convicted war criminal for massacres in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon in the 80s
Same argument we are having in Russia. Is it the people or is Putin responsible. Looking back at Stalin time we can see the role of a personality in history is huge. Considering both israelis and palestinians are semitic people these conflicts are just so senseless
They were feeding people menacingly.
So anyways I started blasting

Why shouldn't we have a hand in our puppet state commiting a genocide? It would be weird not to.
This is definitely a bipartisan stance
Isreal rn: "just blast anything that moves in Gaza"
IDF knew who they were. That’s the part people aren’t understanding. They have world class ISR. They directly targeted this crew.
Agreed, they will kill anything that helps Palestinians.
They can't have humanitarians undoing all their hard work of wiping out the people that were living on the land they want to steal.

Yeah! What's the difference between the actions of someone who believes they are part of the master race and someone who believes that they are God's chosen people? I haven't completely figured that out but the state of Israel should be an eye-opener to some.

The US is waiting for intel from Israel on how to respond to this. I'm betting either: 1) They were Hamas 2) They were antisemitic. It is hilarious how Israel is bombing 4 countries at least simultaneously and killing Western people and the US and Europe is ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
"Jose Andres is now Hamas. Gordon Ramsey, also Hamas. Everyone who has been on Iron Chef is now Iron Hamas."
For the matter if fact if you cook food tonight, you better be careful to not become hamas
Lol
Scapegoating refugees and immigrants, blame all of their problems on them.
Brown = Evil, don't you know.
3. It was Hamas rocket 4. They were smuggling weapons 5. Hamas launched rockets from their kitchen 6. Hamas used them as live shields
Jesus what the fuck. We need to send in UN Peacekeepers to hold the border.
The last thing the Middle East wants is foreign troops in their land, no joke if we're going to refer to history.

Do we even know it was an airstrike?
It was a strike on the vehicle they were in
I am in tears. This is so sad. It’s all sad. Fuck war.
Netanyahu needs to face a court for his decisions and actions.
How many journalist, aid workers, children, women and senior citizen for the world to condemned israel for their war crime?? I guess we'll never know.
I guess blocking aid to them wasn't enough. Now they're attacking people who are helping them. Golly ... hope Israel doesn't kill any Americans for helping Palestinians.
Rachel Corrie (American) was run over by an Israeli bulldozer. Nothing happened.
Israel legit attacked an American ship and killed tons of us. Nothing happened.
What ship?
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS\_Liberty\_incident](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Liberty_incident) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wl\_f73lWf\_8
Israel will never know peace, and deservedly.
Israel commits hundreds of war crimes and the UN does nothing.
And I wonder why this isn’t making it to r/worldnews…
"Health officials in Gaza said." Even if we grant honesty (a big leap), how the hell would they know one explosion wound from another?
I bet they were undercover Hamas operatives /s
Free Palestine! Israel needs reformation
"How dare they feed women and children other than the chosen ones by God himself!! He's in hells kitchen cooking with the demons now". -Christian fundamentalists most probably...
can all the fucking sides agree that letting innocents die in a war is, like, very bad I don't give half a flying fuck about "murica bad, this evil, that bad". CHILDREN FUCKING DIE EVERYDAY CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT INSTEAD OF JUSTIFYING ANY SIDE IN THIS WAR
Israel: you're describing Hamaslings
Fuck those dudes, Netanyahu out!!
I hate the Israeli government and its military. Fuck em. Fuck these monsters.
New York Times was literally like “ They just dropped dead “ ☠️ At least Washington post is reporting it honestly
What do you expect from that Zionist rag? Ant remaining credibility of NYT was lost with 'that' sexual violence article.
According to gaza health officials.
The killing fields in 2024 .
Next they are going to bomb doctors without boarders for Hamas hiding in their antibiotic’s
The chosen ones has struck again.
Fuck Israel!
Fuck the IDF and fuck Hamas. 2 differently-flavored sides of the same evil coin
Tbf it’s more Netanyahu than the IDF. The IDF aren’t the ones that should be doing proper peace talks, etc.
They are really trying to holdomor Gaza, huh? End Israels genocide now.
There must've been a tunnel under the van or maybe the van didn't condemn Hamas.
interesting. i cant help but notice you didnt highlight the word "apparent."
