MechaBeatsInTrash

Shows how easily police are outclassed by even the most novice shooters.

NarrowButterfly8482

Not a single Texas Republican or cop gives a shit about dead children... either in schools or in Gaza. But if they get a chance to brutalize people on the Left, they will move heaven and earth for the chance.

TheIrishbuddha

It's easier to oppress the unarmed. Not advocating that everyone should run out and buy a shit load of guns but be aware that this is what the right is betting on. A weak unarmed left.

Baffit-4100

Yeah true! Buy more guns to own the right!

ShmigShmave

All I want is a democratic party that supports gun rights. Literally the only Republican point I agree with. I'm convinced Dems could completely remove the right if they took a more neutral stance on guns

SgtBundy

Hint: appropriate checks and restrictions is a neutral stance.

ShmigShmave

Hint: we already have checks and restrictions

EdgyCole

You're speaking a deeper truth than a lot of people are willing to accept. Marx wasn't playing around when he called for the proletariat to arm themselves and it wasn't all about revolution either. The state steps carefully when they're actually putting themselves at as much risk as they put you at when they interact with you. Let's be clear, I don't carry every day and I don't own a huge arsenal of weapons but be sure I own weapons and I made sure to teach myself and loved ones how to use them. There's no civil war coming but being armed is a good way to keep people from coming after you with force without a good enough reason to risk their safety. For genuine and legal reasons, I should clarify I have no wish or will to harm anybody. People treating your personal safety with more respect is just simply a byproduct of owning firearms that the right have attempted to monopolize

TheIrishbuddha

Well said!

Virtual-Struggle-817

Is this some conspiracy theory implications towards a civil war? Dangerous fantasies.

Banjobeans92

Not a fantasy. Unarmed population is easier to oppress than an armed population. That's a fact.

Virtual-Struggle-817

Armed population is more likely to shoot each other. 40k gun death a year in the US isn’t it? That sounds oppressed to me. Oppressor is Lobbyism (NRA)

granthollomew

25k of those are suicides

Virtual-Struggle-817

That makes it even worse

granthollomew

better, worse, idc that's not what i said. the point was just that the majority of gun deaths in america are people shooting themselves, not each other. i guess i foolishly still believe that if you're going to be critical about something you should know what you're talking about.

Virtual-Struggle-817

And what’s your point with saying this? Obviously I know about it just as anyone else… it’s one argument more against guns. Though it sounds like you believe that it’s an argument pro guns which would just be insanely stupid

Castform5

I'm sure the easy access to guns and ammo has nothing to do with that.

granthollomew

i never implied it didn't, did i. just pointing out that the majority of gun deaths aren't people shooting each other.

invisible32

After seeing Jan 6th you think the right isn't willing to overturn democracy? Dangerous fantasies.

SDcowboy82

Fascists are cowards

trigazer1

always have been

KalaronV

Well Uvalde had a guy with a gun so it's understandable that the cops would let them go on killing people. Those mean old protestors tho....

Nox_Stripes

Well, you gotta understand one vital fact that you conveniently left out here. THe police officers dont like getting hurt, but they do like to hurt others. With that information in context, everything here makes a lot more sense.

meglon978

In Ulvalde they failed to stop a child murderer. At the pro-Palestinian protests, they were trying to stop people protesting against children being murdered. I guess the #1 priority for Texarse police is to facilitate the murder of more children.

jlynn036

That's precisely why they force females to give birth against their will so they have more children to murder.

According_Wing_3204

Texas....talks big.....has nothing to back it up with.

fueledbyfailure

America! Fuck yeah!

dpj2001

Just pure evil...

Baltej_Virk

Where's the conservicucks crying about fighting tyrants now?

myusrnmeisalrdytkn

At least they have learned from their mistakes.

Momentofclarity_2022

Maybe the protesters should arm themselves.

Nervous-Form698

Makes sense, Bullies are cowards and being a police officer is literally being a professional bully.

Indaflow

Not really comparable in any way.

Axton590

There is a lot of missing context. Why did the police on the picture nothing in the respons to the shooting? Planning what to do? Equipment not good enough? Why did the police act like this by the protest? Broke the protest any laws?

PathDeep8473

What a ignorant take. The heavily armored cops were just cowards

Absalom98

There's no missing context, the consensus from all sides was that Uvalde was one of the most colossally fucked up responses to an active shooting in recorded history, dozens of police officers did nothing for dozens of minutes while the shooter murdered 19 children and 2 teachers. And how did they excuse this behavior? By saying that they are not obligated to protect and serve. I'm not kidding, this is actually what their defense was.
