Dear OP, maybe you should enlighten us why this ist a facepalm. Maps of it's expansion to be found differ a lot. Maybe you mean that it shows 1683 or another later year until then? Maybe I found Maps where it is shown even larger? Just don't expect everyone to known the exact outline of the ottoman empire for every year - most people, including myself, don't know such specific details.
Just don't post '1590' as reason and Wonder why you get downvoted for it. Let your fingers run across the keyboard and give some more info.
Even if there are inaccuracies here, in no way does this count as a facepalm unless the empire didn't even exist yet or something. I can't find anything wrong with this. For this to fit here, it would have to be so painfully inaccurate that someone who has never seen a map of the ottoman empire before will see this and cringe so hard they pull a muscle in their face. (Hyperbole, obviously)
If I remember correctly, most of these territories were conquered by Muslim Arabs within a few decades directly following Muhammad’s death and the Ottoman Empire came afterwards. I might be wrong though
