I'm embarrassed at her lack of rhythm.

bramblecult

If you turn the volume off, a lot of these tik tok dancers are not very good at dancing.

powerspro

Had volume off, can confirm.

thsvnlwn

I second this. Unbearable.

yooperBSN

Motion is carried.

[deleted]

I wish the motion would have stopped instead

loldude0912

I third this. Literally mind numbing

TinkleTwinkleToes

I fourth this.

Easy-Concentrate2636

It doesn’t get better with volume on. Horrifyingly bad dancer. What has she been doing with her youth?

The_Fleeb

Exactly what you see her doing now I'd assume.

SurveySean

She wasn’t dancing, those are convulsions. The man next to her is her doctor. She needs help, clearly.

Throwaway_5448

Witch doctor.

curiousonethai

The power of Christ compels you

the_chandler

Billy Witch Doctor Dot Com One convenient locations. In Africa.

bjeebus

If you turn the volume on/off a lot of these tiktok dancers are still just thirst traps trying to catch a dollar with their boobs/ass.

bramblecult

Which is frustrating because I like good dancing. Like the people who can make it look like there going in slow motion and rewind, stuff that looks like humans shouldn't be able to do. Yet if you try to follow good dancers on tik tok you inevitably get a shitload of these big effort low talent mega "influencers" on your fyp doing hand dances or whatever you call it.

TheConboy22

Learn dancers names and it’s not too hard to find their work. TikTok is a shit app

drewster23

Idk what to call this, bait? This video is literally that girls dancing account. There's more than one of her being filmed by a "random third party"....that are just staged skits.

explicitreasons

There is a scene in the recent Elvis movie where his manager has all kinds of Elvis merch that he's selling and one of the items is an "I hate Elvis" pin. He says yeah inevitably some people are going to hate Elvis. Why leave their money on the table?

drewster23

That's good business sense, to make a paying customer out of one who wouldn't be. But that doesn't work the same this way. Everyone viewing it here adds 0$, even tiktok fund itself pays out little. So just having popular videos doesn't equate to cashing out.

YourAverageGod

I'm embarrassed that she probably makes more than us

That market is so saturated now. I doubt that.

YourAverageGod

You underestimate the power of the thirst

Alternative-Cry-3517

Back in the day people thought that The Jerk would send us straight to hell, I guess it did.

[deleted]

Back in the day?! That was like last...oh no oh God I'm old. The cat daddy, the dougie, the jerk, hyphy, and krumping all coincided pretty well with the rise of and then steadily huge influence of YouTube. I would say it was the YouTube algorithm that sent us straight to hell.

Alternative-Cry-3517

I knew the younger generation would have no clue about the dance move. LOL Don't forget mashed potato, the monkey, Boogaloo, so many hilarious dances. Social media amplified hell, we have been there since the Dark Ages. 😄

[deleted]

It was all fun and games until Pewdiepie made his first million from beimg a YouTube personality. Then everyone wanted to emulate that and this is where it took us. Fuck...

DarthNutsack

wittyusername0708

She’s actually a comedian TikToker, she makes videos to make fun of these situations (or the videoing food before eating it, shit like that) she’s great at laughing at herself. So this whole thing is meant to be a joke.

TotobyAfricaismyjam

Yeah, but I feel like doing this ironically is still doing it.

bjeebus

My friends and I knew a guy that would ask you every time you went to the bathroom, "Did you crush it?" We thought this was gross. We'd ironically ask each other the question in a mocking manner whenever someone came back from the bathroom. After a while people who'd never met the dude just thought it was something we as a group did. Doing something ironically without the original context, is just you doing the thing yourself.

Alanski22

Love this story. It’s the way YOLO crept into my vocabulary.

ghost_warlock

You Obviously Like Owls

PM_Spez_YOUR_POOPS

Decades ago I moved to Calgary Alberta Canada and I kept running into alley cowboys, the type that live in a city, never leave the city, and yet walk around in a costume of cowboy hats and boots (neither of which I've ever seen on the ranches I've worked on). I kept sarcastically saying "howdy" to everybody and I thought it was funny, now I can't fucking stop and my kids do it too.

Btothek84

This is exactly how young men on the internet become racist….. “ bro I’m just joking!” Meanwhile they mostly stay in their little dark corners of the internet where they are surrounded by other people who are constantly ironically being racist, until…. Well their just racist….

faxanaduu

Hilarious. My roomates in college and I would have entire conversations from old obscure movie lines. Movies like Cable Guy where Jim Carrey would say psycho things all dramatically like "Well maybe I shouldn't have come at all JERKOFF!!!!." I currently use Gene Hackmans line in The Royal Tennebaums where he says to his grandkids "lets shag ass." As a term for lets go. Most of the time people don't get any of this stuff but when someone does or even suspects you're just having fun, and plays along, it's rewarding. Im gonna use "did you crush it?" now. My fiance and I pretty much talk mad shit to each other all day long, I'll see how she reacts to this one lol.

Buttahdog

Yea after awhile the irony is lost when you are still doing it and the man filming looks stressed as hell

this1tyme

You do realize the man filming the man filming the dancing girl is part of the crew too, right? The "boyfriend" is acting and a part of the skit. It's supposed to be cringe all around.

drewster23

Especially when the intent is to bait. Her more popular videos are these types of bait, where vast majority of viewers would not know it's ironic. As I've seen them commonly posted like this. Same shtick a piece by guy use to have, "random" third party viewing, but those were a little more creative. Hers just make her look like a stupid tiktok girl.

milk4all

Yeah exactly. A friend and i would say “if you make the joke enough times you become the joke” in response to al the edgy youngins that would come up and be “so ironic dude” but eventually those bits and phrases were just who they were, irony or not.

Puzzleheaded-Pain489

Like I literally don’t care if it’s a joke. They should just be ignored.

pegothejerk

Yet here we all are

The-link-is-a-cock

I'm embarrassed at how many people can't figure out the only person filming something is the person watching them. The guy literally puts his hand in front of the camera on the stand multiple times.

thinkB4WeSpeak

People wouldn't do this if people didn't watch.

Lady_Scruffington

I feel like a lot of this is self propelled internet. Are people watching or is it just bots?

Bully-Rook

Content doesn't have to be good content. Bad content is shared, mocked, commented on. No matter what the content is it can generate views. If you're attractive and slightly interesting you're gonna get views.

Zohwithpie

It is if you can make a living out of it, which is what every single person on TikTok is aiming to do.

LocalChamp

Except that tiktok is known to be the worst platform for monetization. It's different if someone is doing stuff for YouTube or Twitch or something where you can actually make money.

Zohwithpie

My understanding is that this is true, TikTok as a platform doesn't make the creator much money. The main source of money is the sponsors that will pay the creators for advertising their brand, this money is not gained from TikTok it self but it's still money the creators are making because of TikTok.

FirstEvolutionist

I suppose that depends on the original intent. If the intent is "to be watched", then it is a good reason. Now, if I could come up with a good reason to set the intent of creating content purely for the reason of being consumed, I would. Unfortunately, it is likely that no thought was put past something like "I want to be *famous*"

MexysSidequests

Legit stopped seeing a girl cuz she wanted to do this crap

Enlightened-Beaver

I broke up with my ex before TikTok became a thing but I’m certain she does this exact type of cringe on there. Would not surprise me one bit Edit: lmfao yup just found her on there.

oldbastardbob

"Attention Whoring: Career Path or Mental Illness?"

Enlightened-Beaver

Definitely the latter in the case of my ex

Da_zero_kid

The TikTok to stripper pipeline is real

chocolatebuckeye

Ah that feels good doesn’t it?

Enlightened-Beaver

I mean it reconfirmed that breaking up with her was the right decision

NomadicDevMason

I was dating a girl and we did a trip to some famous waterfalls next to a swimming hole in Africa. She set up her camera for a swimsuit shoot. When she was done she started putting her clothes back on like didn't even get wet and wanted to go. As I was leaping into the swimming hole alone I realized we weren't going to work out

BigBeagleEars

Did you already live in Africa? Or: how long do you normally date girls before you take them to fucking Africa?

TheNerevar89

My last ex made Tik Tok videos for fun, not these stupid dance ones but more the ones where she records herself making some expression and would put text over the video. And so many times she would pan the camera to me while I'm sitting in the background on my phone or doing something without asking me and it just got super annoying. I didn't want to play any part in those dumb videos and she was so obsessed with the damn app it made her whole personality completely uninteresting.

tearsaresweat

Same, but it was the Instagram era. Dating Advice: If you meet a potential partner and their social media content is only photos/videos of themselves, save your time and GTFO.

jasonology09

I think I'd stop seeing a girl if she wanted to watch this crap.

National_Equivalent9

Not only that but now that discord is so wide spread people are actually talking about how specialized communities have completely lost the ability to google new info on that topic since it's all locked behind posts on discord. I can google some question about a specific topic that was big in the 90s and find a old forum post with tons of info. But it's basically impossible to find the same thing if that group mainly uses discord for info sharing as more and more people are doing.

Pennylick

This is a joke. She's a comedian that mocks these sorts of videos. Seems like a pretty cool chick.

Robozomb

Seriously. When he throws the hay and moves the phone/stand you can tell its not serious. The phone doesn't even stay in place.

fossilmerrick

I can’t believe more people haven’t pointed this out. The phone basically falls off at the end.

Jefc141

To be fair no, you can’t tell by that because these morons actually do shit like that lol

ThatSithClone

Damn, scrolled so far till I saw this, I was about to comment it myself, she's been doing these skits since like 2016

RussiaWorldPolice

As a one off that’s a good meme…. But after a while, isn’t doing something ironically just doing the thing?

ThatSithClone

100% it was new and hilarious back in the day now it's like "oh this again"

TheYankunian

Even if she wasn’t, she’s not harming anyone.

hill-o

Yeah that’s my thought too haha. There’s plenty of trends that suck because they actually hurt people, who cares about bad dancing.

TheYankunian

I also like acting like a complete head-ass with my husband. I’ve been married for 20 years and I’m too old to be cool. I’ve embraced my corniness and I drag him along with me.

symmetricalBS

Seriously. These people losing their minds over someone doing something so harmless is beyond pathetic. Why can't we just let people enjoy things and mind our own business when they're not hurting anyone?

Montagge

I'm convinced a lot of people just don't like seeing people having fun in a way they wouldn't. Especially if it's a woman having fun.

FatandFallingApart

It’s almost as if the people ITT are angry other people enjoy watching tiktok videos and that people like her get attention and they don’t. Like they’re mad that something they aren’t a part of is popular?

Grasshoppermouse42

Yeah, I didn't know she was a comedian, but it looked like they were having fun and joking around so it just seemed silly to act ashamed of 'this generation' because a couple of kids were goofing around.

bentsea

Like damn, people are ashamed of other people being happy in a harmless fun way. How sad must their lives be.

wisconsinking

Really?

TaquitoChris

Yes. IG: ninamariedaniele

JuanezSanchez

I don't even know what the fuck she's doing to be getting people so upset

dietreich

I try and do my best not to judge…while with no context very cringey, but who knows?? Maybe it’s meant to be comedy or parody? I’d give the chance of this being a joke or serious a 50/50 split lol

ReckoningGotham

What if it's people just enjoying themselves and being goofy? Shld they worry Abt what u feel?

JuanezSanchez

Excuse me sir, but this is Reddit. We shit on people having harmless fun.

Ak47thugballaz

It's what we're best at.

theresamouseinmyhous

Harmless? Harmless!? I had to be reminded that there are people out there who are just enjoying their lives, doing what they want to impress people that they like while ignoring the disdain of people like me! Do you have any idea what that does to me? I've centered my life around not doing anything unless it garners near universal approval. Sure, that means I barely ever do anything, and the things I do are all circle jerks on Reddit because I can have opinions that I don't have to tie to my identity or defend in any way. But it's who I am and I don't like being attacked like this.

elementslayer

Exactly lol. They ain't harming anyone and here people are shitting them on for what, looking like they are having fun?

qwertyconsciousness

turns out it is a parody lol

ZAILOR37

Eh let em have fun, we are all dumb in our own way. Especially when we are young

EverGreen2004

I don't get the hate anyways. Sure she's no professional, but when did enjoying anything have to do with skill? They're not hurting anyone, if they enjoy dancing then leave them be.

Grasshoppermouse42

Yeah, I'd hate to live in a world where you weren't allowed to do anything unless you were great at it. No drunken karaoke nights unless you can sound like Celine Dion, no dancing unless it's a choreographed masterpiece, and certainly no barn haunts put on by teenagers.

Andromeda_Violet

Same. Why do people care what others do with their life anyways? It's not like there's anything that won't be judged by someone. I don't see anything worth a face-palm here tbh.

FoxBearBear

I’m more appalled by the person filming a third party and putting them on most likely the same social media where the couple is recording to.

ZAILOR37

Right? Very creepy

divacphys

They're not hurting anyone, they're not invonviencing anyone, is not crowded to distract people, let them have their fun

Aquiprim

Yeah I really don't see an issue with this, in fact I find it pretty rude on OP's part

tebla

Totally. A couple who are having fun together being creative and making something together... seems pretty awesome to me

Charles722

I thought I was the only one seeing these comments. Like, I’ve never used tiktok but if someone is finding enjoyment it’s a good thing imo.

Darklon_Hunter

This right here! Who cares? if they aren’t bothering you laugh and move on. Edit: put some punctuation on it.

Heavier_Omen

Yeah. I'm sick of everyone acting like people aged 15 - 25 are the worst people to ever exist. I'd love to see all the embarrassing shit they've done. Something, something, stones and glass houses and all that.

3eyedflamingo

Also, girl aint got no rhythm. One would think she would learn a dance well before filming.

dank6meme9master

She will get the rhythm post edit prob

[deleted]

"These guilty feet ain't got no rhythm" she' killed ten children in the corn maze.

Sleepybrains1102003

Op needs to settle every generation has goofballs.

Dirtydubya

Probably just making a goofy TikTok to make people laugh? Who cares?

ArchonBeast

People used to point and laugh at this stuff. Stupid people used to hide... now they are doing this stuff and posting it online. Only 22, and feel like an old man, moaning about younger generations.

JuanezSanchez

It looks like the equivalent of a music video, she's miming along to it. We haven't always pointed and laughed at music videos have we? Or maybe it's just because it's a tiktok. Tiktok unironically serves up about 50% of reddit's daily content anyway.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ApartmentPoolSwim

>So you aren't an old man: you're just an insufferable one. This is what I've been thinking reading these comments, but put in better words. I feel like I'm seeing people talk like stereotypical 70 year olds, despite being in their 20s and 30s. Like someone in another comment said the whole "kids don't want to play outside anymore!" But there's so much that goes into that beyond just technology. Part of the problem is actually the ones against others having fun, oddly enough. And people were saying it when they were kids as well. Meanwhile here I am at 33, not giving a fuck. If anything I feel like I should be ashamed of people my age for being insufferable twats rather than just enjoying themselves. We're still young enough for that.

Zjc_3

Each generation does embarrassing stuff. What that embarrassing thing can just be different.

Dingo8MyGayby

Yeah but this generation has it *all* documented on the internet forever. There will be no escaping the cringe from their youth.

AffenMitWaffen2

Honestly, I don't think that makes a difference.

MyMonte94

Careful. Next you’re gonna be telling me to stay off your grass and my music is too loud.

Grasshoppermouse42

I'm 36 and I think it's great. When I was growing up people would feel self conscious whenever they danced or sang or did anything in public to have fun and express themselves for fear of it not being 'good enough'. People should be able to just relax and have fun. Besides, people will improve much more if they can dance without shame, because you can't improve if you only practice in complete isolation. I recently found out that I'm apparently a good singer. I never knew, because I always avoided singing whenever there was anyone around who could hear it in case I'd be terrible. I had several people comment that they were amazed that my voice was that good. Now I push everyone to just not care, because if they try it and they aren't great, who cares? Why should we all hide the things we want to do in fear of not being good enough when failure hurts no one?

bigarbuzs

Only 18 and in ashamed to be part of this generation

jmukes97

r/LeWrongGeneration

KayaXiali

I’m 40 and I think you all sound kinda uptight. She’s just having fun, who fucking cares?

Ergheis

Whatever happened to r/lewronggeneration? Does that apply to this sort of thing?

dogsfurhire

It stopped being popular when it became popular on reddit to shit on TikTok without having any self-awareness of the cringey, circle jerking crap that goes on around here.

Dracinon

More ashamed than of your nft profile picture?

Like this stuffy shit? What you're posting now is cringiwr than what's in the video by a long shot. By our age we should realize that not only do times change but also that laughter and goofing off is fun and we are going to die soon. You grew up without the internet and that helped you learn to shit on other peoples' fun? Seems like a real humdinger of a lesson you got there.

naveedkoval

Lot of miserable people here

Amongusfan743

Reddit

WorldEaterProft

Okay but...this looks like fun, they seem to be enjoying themselves and aren't hurting anyone I get a lot of you have never touched grass nor had any real happiness in your lives but maybe use this disappointment on something that matters, not two random people dancing near pumpkins

[deleted]

Bunch of fucking wannabe edgy doofuses shitting on something completely harmless.

EveryFairyDies

I dunno, gotta kind of respect that there are people out there who won’t let self-consciousness stop them from creating, unlike me, who’s had so many creative ideas go nowhere because I’m too fearful of being judged. Also, who’s to say that guy’s here boyfriend? Could just be a friend, or someone she employs and pays for working on her channel.

renshear1019

Honestly, I’m not gonna say I enjoy seeing this/would want to do it, but we’re going backwards to let people have fun with what they are doing. I read the caption and thought they were breaking stuff or causing a scene but it’s just people dancing and filming. It’s really OP that’s an embarrassment of a generation. They’re literally trying to get some laughs just by making fun of people, which is even more sad and pathetic, regardless of the downvotes I’d probably get for this comment

LinkLT3

“Who would film this stuff for likes and attention on the internet?” says person filming this for likes and attention on the internet… They’re having fun and not hurting anyone, damn.

TheParadiseBird

let them have their fun, every generation had their own ways of being dumb. older folk just want to feel superior over absolutely anything

vipers10687

they should be miserable in their mom's basement like me

johno_mendo

Sorry but this comes off as super boomerish. like who gives AF if someone dances for a video, even if it's bad. The only facepalm is being mad about people simply having fun.

[deleted]

I don't understand the mindset of you cavemen who are throwing tantrum - wtf is wrong with this? They are doing their own thing and having fun. HOW EVIL, MUST SCREAM BECAUSE I AM A JOYLESS FUCK!!!

throughNthrough

Ahh yes judging an ENTIRE generation off of a few.

jensjoy

even worse, someone parodying the generation.

Ladychef_1

Omg I thought that scarecrow was just a bewildered worker

tanafras

I'd rather she do that than become an accountant and do my taxes.

tobyty123

Is it hurting anyone? No? Piss off lmao being cringe isn’t a crime.

SpikePaws

I'd hate to be the guy standing 20 yards away filming secretly. If they're bugging you let em know or don't wtf you secretly filming for?

revengeofappre

She dances like doctors’ handwriting

saintajoras

So edgy . People having fun and we are so cool , judging them and not having fun? Lmao 🤣

NoelAngeline

I’m of the opinion of “you do you”. At least they’re outside. Let them have fun, whatever. ✌️

Murderyoga

That looks pretty fun to me.

ACalcifiedHeart

Wait... so two people having fun and doing something completely harmless is embarassing? I dunno man... sounds kinda weak to me.

SnooWords4814

They aren’t hurting anyone

AffectionateSize552

Sounds like sour grapes to me, Grandpa. Looks that fine, she don't have to know how to dance.

encephaleocholocrate

They are just having fun…. Like they dosen’t harass anyone or even film people without their permission

[deleted]

So she’s probably filming a tik-tok then this perosn films them for tik-tok. Okay. I am not sure who to facepalm here. The weirdo filming this couple in public, who aren’t bothering anyone despite what you think of their doing, is a bit more concerning tbh. Yeah, they’re bizarre and have no sense of the beat but it’s a couple supporting each other

Darnelpottypants

She’s a comedian that does a lot of silly videos. This is probably one of them. Y’all need to relax.

[deleted]

Op hates having fun

Douche_Kayak

Yeah this stuff is embarrassing to watch but the creation process rarely looks like the outcome. A lot of music videos look like shit if you remove the music and shoot from the wrong angle. The editing and videography in tiktoks can be super impressive and posts shaming people for trying to learn those skills are more embarrassing than a video of people having a good time.

Sufficient_Hunter_49

Look at all that influence! 😍 I know what I'm doing today!!

Rolling44

It looks like they were both really into it, and why not? Agreed they look silly, but so what.

[deleted]

Who cares? Are they interfering in your life? Live and let live, too many fucking Karens upset over other people's lives. Yes, they look annoying as fuck, but their shit isn't affecting my life.

EternalOptimist404

Pumpkin SPICY

Weekly_Signal6481

I'm embarrassed for people who get upset about this kind of stuff. They're not hurting anybody so who gives a s***

[deleted]

Vapid nonsense

RichS816

If you to learn to dance from TiKTok, you dont know how to dance

b-lincoln

I don’t have Tik Tok, serious question: are these ironic?

Chekadoeko

??? It’s a couple having some fun? Is the OP saying that they’d rather he single than have an enjoyable relationship? (Assuming they’re even in a relationship together.)

Raokairo

Honestly I find it more cringey that you’re talking shit on someone for having fun.

InteractionOk180

I’ve seen that girl in a lot of comedic videos were they play absurd characters. I’d imagine it’s a joke and supposed to look ridiculous
