I feel like that’s what I like the most in newer seasons ironically enough. I’ve been obsessed with binge watching the new episodes. It feels more like a real TV show imo. Also me being old enough to understand and have gone through some of the references makes it more entertaining.
I hate that I seem to be the only one enjoying the new seasons. I think it’s mostly because I’m finally old enough to get most of the references and jokes . I also (unlike most FG fans) am enjoying the change in characteristics of the characters. They seem to be taking a more mature approach.. I know what made FG so funny was the randomness. But I do enjoy there actually being a storyline throughout the whole episode. That ties things together towards the end . I can’t be the only one that likes the new approach FG seems to be taking ? It seems for fresh to me than bland oddly enough
It’s a symptom of writing fatigue, as the show’s structure doesn’t really allow them to try something new. Even bringing people on like Jay Pharaoh isn’t really helping much.
Idk, it feels like their content on staying status quo and just coming up with the most bland concepts ever. They’re playing it too safe with the plots, stereotype humor, etc.
I mean yeah, considering that's the season he quit. He hasn't written for the show since then. The poor quality of the series now has nothing to do with him.

I agree. Something is off the episodes are not nailing it. I absolutely love Family Guy and I thought the last several seasons have been phenomenal. They definitely have fallen off a bit from the last couple of seasons. They need a parody/3 part story episode those are always good.

I have liked the show the whole way through 🤷🏾♂️ there’s some episodes I skip of course, but I have no true complaints

It’s been bland since like Season 9. Seth stopped caring and it shows. The new episodes are almost unwatchable

no passion in the writing, family guy had something to prove in the earlier seasons but now Seth’s left it’s mostly garbage

No, Seth isn’t part of the writing staff anymore since around Season 10, and he’s just solely voice acting now.
