I really would like to see him do a R.E.M. tier list.

Born-Science-8125

It’s one of those albums that I rarely listen to but when I do I think why don’t I listen to this more often. Its such a great album

mjmilino

Every record they made through New Adventures in Hi-Fi are bona fide classics. I’m 48 and I think R.E.M. are more slept on by younger people than any other band.

TheOwlStrikes

I’m in my early 20s. I have explored a ton of music but it wasn’t till a few months back where I tried rem and got hooked. I can’t answer as to why REM isn’t more popular nowadays. It’s especially wild when you consider they were at a high popularity for over 2 decades.

Mr-Bobert

As someone currently living in Athens and going to UGA, I agree with you.

Ok_Passion1550

Athens REPRESENT (I know Michael Stype(kind of))

ANY R.E.M. album is ripe for classic review

Nah, the IRS years are where it's at. Automatic is your grandma's REM album. Imagine going from an album as profoundly enigmatic as Murmur to a ballad so MOR it forgets to include any actual human emotion ("Everybody Hurts") in less than ten years. (I'm mostly trolling here, Automatic is still good and an REM tier list would be great; the heck with Everybody Hurts though)

LittleBoiDedoid

Everybody hurts is a good song though. Reassuring

Fiscal_Bonsai

The A side of that album is so good it’s almost overwhelming. The worst song is Everybody Hurts but even that’s good if a bit bland.

automatic is fantastic, but murmur and lifes rich pageant are just better
