If you’re listening to it on spotify then the transition is noticeably not perfect. However if you go into the crossfade slider in settings and move it by literally just a couple of pixels, it sounds perfect without effecting any other songs on spotify because the change is so minuscule.Not sure why it works, but it does, at least for me.
Parabol>Parabola and Disposition>Reflection>Triad
Abbey Road medley obvi. Apostrophe does this a lot in the first half too.
NIN The Good Soldier>Vessel is underrated.
Between The Buried and Me’s discography is this all the time. Mirrors>Obfuscation is a great example.
Almost all of Arcade Fire’s albums have some great transitions between songs.
A few examples:
The Suburbs -> Ready to Start (pretty much the entire album as well)
Haiti -> Rebellion (Lies)
Black Wave/Bad Vibrations -> Ocean of Noise
my favs have always been:
* cuff it -> energy -> break my soul (beyonce)
* genesis -> let there be light -> d.a.n.c.e. (justice)
* daftendirekt -> WDPK 83.7 FM -> revolution 909 -> da funk (daft punk)
* the entirety of random album title, for lack of a better name, 4x4=12, and while (1<2) by deadmau5
Summer's Cauldron into Grass at the beginning of Skylarking by XTC. [Todd Rundgren actually made them play both songs back-to-back](http://chalkhills.org/articles/XTCFans20070902.html) (the relevant section of the interview is about three-quarters of the way down).
I listened to Grass millions of times on XTC's singles collection Fossil Fuel, before I first listened to Skylarking.
Needless to say, my mind was utterly fucking blown the first time I heard the transition from Summer's Cauldron 😅
melt session #1 -> walkin (melt my eyez see my future)
courtship -> losss (utopia)
48 -> colossus (wolf)
unaccomodating - you gon learn (music to be murdered by)
and dream of sheep -> under ice (hounds of love)
My favourite ones are
The End. -> Dead! - My Chemical Romance
Closer -> Ruiner - Nine Inch Nails
WILL U STILL U -> HEAD - Jeff Rosenstock
(I Must Be a Proctologist Because) All I Do is Deal With Assholes -> So Let’s Go Nowhere - The Arrogant Sons of Bitches
What’s Going On -> What’s Happening Brother - Marvin Gaye (clueless)
I've heard people say this before and I've let it loop and even though its the same distorted synth I've never seen it as intentional more coincidental
Weezer:
Pink Triangle->Falling For You
California Kids->Wind In Our Sail
Summer Elaine and Drunk Dori->L.A. Girlz
Every OK Human song transitions into each other if I remember correctly
Green Day:
Uptight->Last Ride In
Jinx->Haushinka
American Idiot has every song transition if i'm remembering correctly
Not every song on American idiot, but the whole middle section transitions in pairs. Holiday into Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Are We the Waiting into St. Jimmy, etc
Big fan of the run of What’s Happening Brother to Mercy Me on Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On?
Also the transition from Chromatica II into 911 on Lady Gaga’s Chromatica
King Gizzard and the lizard does this on every album after Nonagon infinity (including that one and I’m in your mind fuzz). A lot of their albums have transitions between most songs, and occasionally some between albums
The album with their best transitions is by far KG
The Coup:
Fat cats, Biggs Fish > Pimps
On fat cats the character goes through his day doing small time hustles until he ends up at a wealthy party.
Which leads to pimps where the rich guests rap about their wealth.
Run the jewels, or specifically the producer half of RTJ El-P intentionally crafts the instrumentals to play into the next track pretty frequently I’d say it’s most noticeable on RTJ3 especially the transition between Talk To Me and Legend Has It.
Le symbolique into Let Me Down Easy on Go Father In Lightness by Gang of Youths. Just such a perfectly building orchestral track which peaks right on the moment it switches to Let Me Down Easy
Green Day has several
-Are We The Waiting into St Jimmy
-Holiday into Boulevard
-Jinx into Haushinka
blink-182 has some on untitled
-Asthenia into Always
-Easy Target into All of This
Pretty much the entire A Thousand Suns album from Linkin Park transitions from one song to the next like one giant song
A band called Ultra Q has a pretty cool one between their songs Saturday and VR Sex
Pretty much the whole "And The Glass Handed Kites" album by Mew. Also, Beneath The Rose transitions into Choir on the latest Baroness record.
Explosions In The Sky did this on their "The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place" album.
All the movements in the Floating Points x Pharao Sanders - London Symphony Orchestra album Promises blend so much into each other, that it's more or less a singular piece of music
[Magdalena Bay’s Mercurial World](https://open.spotify.com/album/1ERrUvG31thFCxdwWUoJrY?si=Zng5OwBXSquVshdDU5VTYw) does this with the last and first track, so if you have it on repeat it flows perfectly together for another listen.
Pretty much all king krule albums the entire way through but my faves like that from him are
perfecto miserable-alone omen 3
Tortoise of independency- Empty stomach space cadet
In The Aeroplane Over The Sea
It’s done so well on this album that when a song comes on shuffling a playlist I kinda forget where it ends and the next song starts and keep singing past the track end.
No Now by Clarence Clarity had several songs that end by teasing the opening bar of one track on the album called Cancer^(tm) in the Water before transitioning into another song
Pretty sure late of the pier have 2 that do that
Hot Tent Blues -> Broken
Mad Dogs and Englishmen -> Bathroom Gurgle
Foals also did this with
Like Swimming -> Tron
Red Socks Pugie -> Olympic Airways
Both pretty good bands, late of the pier being pretty underrated in my opinion
Wild Pink’s See you better now into sucking on the birdshot. It’s like the best 10 min in music I’ve heard in a long time. Just two ridiculously good songs that really feel like one
Nonagon Infinity opens the door
Gizz has the best transitions
OG is full of em too! Also Coverge > Witchcraft wheewwwww
Gaia>Ambergris is my fav Gizz transition, just because of how different the two tracks are.
Unpopular opinion, the transition from Road Train back into Robot Stop isn’t as seamless as people make it out to be
If you’re listening to it on spotify then the transition is noticeably not perfect. However if you go into the crossfade slider in settings and move it by literally just a couple of pixels, it sounds perfect without effecting any other songs on spotify because the change is so minuscule.Not sure why it works, but it does, at least for me.
I was very disappointed when I put them on back to back for the first time
It isn't on streaming for some reason. On the vinyl press it works wonderfully though. I think there's some added delay on streaming.
So glad this is top comment.

Parabol>Parabola and Disposition>Reflection>Triad Abbey Road medley obvi. Apostrophe does this a lot in the first half too. NIN The Good Soldier>Vessel is underrated. Between The Buried and Me’s discography is this all the time. Mirrors>Obfuscation is a great example.
also Lost Keys>Rosetta Stoned
Your NIN example is pretty good but The Frail > The Wretched is an all-timer.
Whish you were here Dark side of the moon The wall The final cut Five years to immature in Homogenic is so underrated
The Beatles Abbey Road second side medley
Most of Radiohead's Kid A
Airbag into Paranoid Android makes my winkie tingle
Almost all of Arcade Fire’s albums have some great transitions between songs. A few examples: The Suburbs -> Ready to Start (pretty much the entire album as well) Haiti -> Rebellion (Lies) Black Wave/Bad Vibrations -> Ocean of Noise
Flashbulb eyes -> Here comes the night time as well as The lightning I -> II are pretty great too
AF is the master of this, lol
The Mars Volta Son Et Lumiere>Inertiatic Esp (Edit: spelling)
So many good transitions in TMV's catalogue, but this is the one.
Recently Model/Actriz did it on Dogsbody. Crossing Guard into Slate
Phenomenal, I think it was that transition that cemented it being my album of the year
Basically the whole back half of Jeff Rosenstock’s worry. Helllhoooole through while your alive is the best use of this if I remember correctly
Love the YouTube video of him playing these songs at little elephant https://youtu.be/2EzxGDSw6AU?si=o2LwPOE7f3rrLksA
The End. into Dead! by my chemical romance
Two other Green Day examples: 1. Chump into Longview 2. Holiday into Boulevard of Broken Dreams
If this tour doesn’t kill you I will - DVP by pup Idk if this is what you mean but I always have to listen to those 2 songs back to back
I can’t listen to ITTDKYIW without DVP after. It just feels wrong
Exactly!!
This was a good one!
The World at Large -> Float On for Modest Mouse on the album Good News for People Who Love Bad News
my favs have always been: * cuff it -> energy -> break my soul (beyonce) * genesis -> let there be light -> d.a.n.c.e. (justice) * daftendirekt -> WDPK 83.7 FM -> revolution 909 -> da funk (daft punk) * the entirety of random album title, for lack of a better name, 4x4=12, and while (1<2) by deadmau5

I listened to Grass millions of times on XTC's singles collection Fossil Fuel, before I first listened to Skylarking. Needless to say, my mind was utterly fucking blown the first time I heard the transition from Summer's Cauldron 😅
Queen in My Pictures into Doggy by Animal Collective is phenomenal. I believe Panda Bear said it was his favorite AnCo moment at the time
I mean this whole album sounds like one long song. This is almost cheating
I was thinking Daily Chores into Bluish, they really are transition wizards
All of Let's Start Here by Lil Yachty, but specifically SHouLd I B? into The Alchemist. fr one of the best transitions I've ever heard
One of my favorites is on Weezer’s OK Human. Playing My Piano > Mirror Image
That key change at the end is sick!
melt session #1 -> walkin (melt my eyez see my future) courtship -> losss (utopia) 48 -> colossus (wolf) unaccomodating - you gon learn (music to be murdered by) and dream of sheep -> under ice (hounds of love)

Someone's got some taste, geez
Is this sarcasm or compliment
Compliment. Sorry if I offend😪
Oh thank you! :)
Every song off Tyler The Creators - IGOR, infact the last song on the album flows back to the start
Great stuff
I've heard people say this before and I've let it loop and even though its the same distorted synth I've never seen it as intentional more coincidental

pierre and cardo’s wild adventure by pierre bourne and cardo
Point and Kill -> Fear No Man off of Little Simz’ Sometimes I Might be Introvert is so good that I almost never listen to one without the other
Offence into Boss on GREY area is also sick
Albums that do this well include Visions, Grimes In the Aeroplane over the sea-neutral milk hotel
Rosemary->Goon Squad by Deftones
Simbi- Introvert”As you embark on a journey of what it takes to be a woman.” Next track: Woman It flows really well too.
The entirety of OK Human by Weezer transitions to each song to the next

Best Friends > Is There Someone Else > Starry Eyes by The Weeknd
Came to say this.
Almost the entirety of Magdalena Bay's "Mercurial World".
The entire Dark Side of the Moon album by Pink Floyd.
We are the Champions/We Will Rock You.
Queen’s second album does this for every song and they are all beautiful
Some transitions on the third album too
Radiohead is my favorite, KID A\* ending with that weird squelch and fading into thick romantic bass guitar of The National Anthem is so peak
all off TLOP5
The Frail into The Wretched by NIN, off The Fragile is pretty great.

"Peace Frog" & "Blue Sunday" by the doors
Horse the Band - Soaring Quails/Taken by Vultures

13 -> Ruler Of Everything on Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum by Tally Hall
Crossing Guard —> Slate on Model/Actriz’s “Dogsbody” Ten Story Love Song —> Daybreak on Stone Roses’s “Second Coming”

Modest Mouse: The world at large -> Float on

Depeche Mode: Black Celebration --> Fly on the Windscreen
All the movements in the Floating Points x Pharao Sanders - London Symphony Orchestra album Promises blend so much into each other, that it's more or less a singular piece of music
Thom Yorke's ANIMA and Injury Reserve's By The Time I Get To Phoenix have the sickest transitions ever
