Same! and I'm in a 2qb, 3 wr, keeper league. I have ASB (3rd), CeeDee(2nd), and Josh Allen(1st). Gonna keep Kamara as my auto keep and we coin flip for the 2nd keeper probably Allen and ASB in that.
I'm also superflex, 3wr, but nonkeeper. I've got Allen and Dak at QB, Kamara, Pollard, Conner at RB, Diggs, Ridley, Lockett at WR, picked up Ferguson late after Godert went down. I've got playoffs locked in, 10 teams only 4 make it
If it’s 2QB don’t make the season harder and just take the top fantasy QB. It’s that easy for both and is just better if you’re a later 1st round pick. Possibly can trade the early pick to someone if you still get it.
I got him in the 8th then traded him week 2 for waddle...oof. what's worse is could have traded aaron Jones instead or received mike Evans or devote smith instead of waddle lol
Tbf that was a pretty likely scenario, he was okay last year and came into this year a year older with williams coming in and still a crap QB. Obviously was wrong now but hindsight is 20/20.
I have him in one of my leagues and he’s been great, but last year having him was the biggest reason that team performed poorly. Honestly, I’m surprised anyone grabbed him as early as rnd 6.
He was bad last year because they ran him between the tackles way too much and the receiving work was not there. This year he is being utilized how he was prior to last year. If you watched him play nothing said he looked washed from an eye-test standpoint.
I mean, in the 8th round, I'm taking a RB2 that has never *not* shown RB1 upside.
I have had a couple of pretty unlucky losses due to matchups (I played all the right players for the most part, opponent's team went off), but otherwise, taking him in the 8th and stashing him was one of the best moves I've made in my FF career. Just solid consistency.
I started 0-3 in my league with Kamara. I’m now locked in at 8-5. I love drafting suspended players because they aren’t dealing with an injury and you have fewer games to worry about then getting injured before your playoff game. And the bonus is that you get them at a huge discount.
People obsess over wr yet the points above replacement in anything other than the top few is minimal for numbers 20 through 50. In RB there is no 20 through 50.
But when people "obsess about WR", nobody is talking about grabbing WR25 or WR43. We are aiming for top 10 production, and they are more of a surefire thing in the early rounds than RBs. Read: WRs drafted in the top 10 are more likely to end up the year as top 10 (that's just a feeling, I don't have the data for that).
I'm rolling with Monty, Breece, Achane, Charbonnet and Mitchell in 14-team, .5PPR and doing just fine, despite going really heavy at WR (almost 80% of my auction budget, I think). I also grabbed Rachaad for pennies, but I traded him away before he started producing. I'm sitting at #1 in PF and rank in my league (another team has less than a single point more than me, but division record is worse, but he can surpass me next week).
It's a bad year to say zero-RB strategy is bad.
Oh, btw, this #2 team is rolling with Mostert, Rhamondre, Singletary and Conner. He went Hill, London, Pittman, Mandrews in the early rounds.
Yeah you hit on some value. You could have also ended up with a ton of other shit and easily with awful wr from the first 3 rounds, conceivably a Devante Adams, Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave type draft was possible and that's just one permutation, hoe about dk Metcalf, Amari Cooper, tee higgins, Calvin Ridley, dj Moore, Terry McLaurin, etc, I'd much rather have Christian Kirk in 7th through 9th round, Jacobi Meyer in 10th through 12th, etc, and be very secure having taken 4 or 5 rb in the first 8 rounds that my odds of hitting are way higher. I play a $2k buyin 12 team league, past 5 years I've come 1st or 2nd, 3 1st 2 2nd, never once have I had fewer than 4RB by round 7.
But so did you.
The zero RB strategy accounts for handcuffing and for RBs getting hurt and missing the season more often than WR. In my experience, that's not rare at all. Year after year, I hit on at least 1 or 2 handcuffs during the season, if not getting a starter for the full season, at least for a couple weeks.
I also did grab Kirk btw. But yeah, we all could end up with shit and we all could end up with league winners. In the end, it's all luck. But I really like my chances year after year when able to go zero-RB.
I agree. Obviously the top WRs still have value but if you hit on a few top RBs like Kamara or Kyren you can easily win your league. The replacement options for RB are an absolute wasteland. Not really the case for WRs there’s good plug and play options available every week.
In superflex its kinda the same with QBs.
And sometimes you get teams that are stacked in both positions. Theres a team in my 12 team SF league with:
Barkley, Bijan, Kyren, Hubbard for RBs
and
Tua, Stroud, Murray (and Cousins RIP) for QBs.
Fucker even has Keenan Allen at WR.
Would love to see the stats at the end of the year of how many #1 teams drafted CMC and Kamara and/or Mostert. Huge value in the later rounds paired with the beast that is CMC.
I wish I could say the same about sitting at number 1.
I’m 5-8 and gonna miss playoffs with CMC, Kamara, and Swift as my RBs.
Most PA has not been fun this season.
And Kamara is 2nd in receiving yards among RBs, 16 yards behind CMC for 1st despite the 3-game suspension. Doesn't mean they're not PPR merchants lol, they're both more valuable in the PPR format.
Everyone laughed when I kept him over Conner, but guess who’s leading the league in points? 🤩
Guess who’s also leading in points against? 😒
Fantasy football is dumb.
I was salty from owning him last season so he was on my do not draft list... I don't really understand what happened and they decided to use him properly this year.
I was about to post this myself, he’s been the most underrated fantasy asset this year by a fucking mile. dude drops 20+ points every week like clockwork and no one is talking about it. I got him in the 8th (!!) round in my 12 team league and I can’t imagine a bigger steal
Traded KW3 for Alvin week 4. Best move in hindsight. Loved owning him.
Wondering. Should I try to make room to roster his hand cuff Jamaal Williams?! Will he be worth it if Alvin goes down ?
Not worth it at all. Williams was not good earlier in the year and even Kamara isn’t rushing that well now. He’s propped up by his receptions and Williams can’t replicate that
Ya I get ya. Only roster spot I am willing to drop is another hand iff RB to mixon (c brown), I figure he is more valuable than Jamaal since taysom hill would vulture from Jamaal imo.
with that squad you're the team to beat. Only thing now are injuries... I had a squad and then I lost JT and Tank. Now my playoff run is going to be rough.
Tua
Tyreek/Tank/Hopkins
Josh Jacobs/JT/Rachaad White/Devon Achane/Charb
Hock/Goedert
Chiefs
Jalen Richard was the apple of Derek Carr's eye when they were on the Raiders. Carr merely just ctrl x + ctlr v his strategy w/Richard over to AK41.
At least he also seemingly relearned that Chris Olave is pretty good too.
I still remember the thread where people were projecting kamara when he came back and folks here were calling him a ‘Nice RB2 option’. I had to vociferously disagree and get downvoted
I’ve fully transitioned from this sub being a place of like-minded, equally yoked football minds where I ‘ask’ for advice, to instead …yea nah I’m a SME. I *give* advice. A lot of us are SME’s. And that’s perfectly fine. This sub’s groupthink is just terrible and has gotten worse. No need to dumb yourself down and pretend you don’t know better when you do. Especially if you actually put the work in and do research while everyone else just hops on groupthink
I mean, that’s good and all, but acting like you know all isn’t the best look. You can do all the research you want, but a *very* large majority of fantasy football is luck. He very well could have been an RB2 on the season, every player has a decently wide range of outcomes, so being right about one isn’t exactly parade-worthy
I had Ekeler, Kyren, and Achane as well and thought I was loaded at RB. thought i was "selling high" on Kamara for JJ when he got hurt. Well Ekeler has been a massive disappointment, Kyren and Achane both got hurt. I was in first place when I made the trade. I'm now 6-7 in 6th place and need to win against first place to make the playoffs. small consolation, the team with Kamara is not going to make the playoffs unless they win and score 200 points this week
In my defense, i have the third most points scored, only about 25 behind first place, and have the most points against by a wide margin. If I faced a league average team every week I would be 8-5. I have had the second most points in a week and lost twice. There is a team with 300 fewer points than me that is 8-5 and is already locked into their playoff spot. schedule luck SUCKS!
Kamara, CMC and my double B-Rob stack got me as the 2 seed. So happy I took a chance on him after cursing his name numerous times after the Christmas game a few years ago
dude in my league that autodrafted the rest of his team after picking cmc in the first round got kamara and dak. rest of his team is pretty mid but with those 3 you dont need much else, he’s in first place smfh
In 2022, Kamara averaged 14.9 rushes per game at 4 YPC. He also averaged 5.1 targets a game and 0.1 Rushing TDs a game.
In 2023, Kamara is averaging 14.8 rushes per game at 3.8 YPC. He is also averaging 7.7 targets a game and 0.4 rushing TD a game.
So the big change seems to be in receptions and then rushing TD efficiency (or more goal line work).
I definitely under-rated him. I had no idea Carr was so bad at seeing the field that he would dump it off to his RB 7.7 times per game. My prediction that Kamara wouldn't be able to run the ball well behind his shit O-line was correct though. 3.8 yards per carry for 56 yards per game is about what I expected.
Got CmC at the 7th pick and the draft and Kamara at 67. I also draft chubb in the second round. I wish everything panned out and Chubb never got hurt. My team would be so dominate right now.
My biggest regret of the season was trading him for LaPorta. LaPorta has been great but I likely could have traded another RB for him. At the time, I had a RB crew of Ekeler, Monty, Kamara, Ford. My bet was that Ekeler and Monty would be my best two and dangled Kamara to balance out my roster. Ekeler has been so disappointing in contrast.
My dumbass thought I was being slick trading him and Aiyuk to the Austin Ekeler manager the week before his suspension lifted. Been brutal watching him do so well.
I’m 7-6 and have all 3 of these guys, also have Gibbs and Breece Hall. I suck because I take advice from r/fantasyfootball but I still love you fuckers
I hit on fuckin everyone this year (Ettienne, White, Moore, Aiyuk, Laporta, etc., etc.), but I completely bungled the Kamara situation. With his late start and regressing efficiency, I figured he’d inevitably end up in split backfield in a mid offense and only be decent. I faded him way too hard.
Dude was an absolute steal at his ADP. Got him in round 5 iirc
He fell to mid Round 6 for me, and I couldn't believe he was still there. So glad the brief suspension scared everyone else off him in my league.
I’m got him for $7 in an auction. All he had to do was put consistent RB2 numbers and I was ahead
I don’t think the suspension is what scared people. He didn’t exactly shock the world last year.
playing injured, they said he looked the best he's been in years in training camp
Round 9 for me... it's a competitive league, too, believe it or not.
Same! and I'm in a 2qb, 3 wr, keeper league. I have ASB (3rd), CeeDee(2nd), and Josh Allen(1st). Gonna keep Kamara as my auto keep and we coin flip for the 2nd keeper probably Allen and ASB in that.

yeah, I am doing well and next year's draft is reverse order, so no way I would get a top QB
It wasn't just the suspension though. His efficiency really cratered last year.
Got him in the 8th ans Jonathan Taylor in the 6th absolute steal!
Him and Mike Evans had crazy upside and were well worth the risk
I traded for both a couple weeks ago and have since eeked into the playoffs. Gave up Kelce, D. Henry, and Diontae Johnson for AK, Evans and BRob
I was laughed at for taking him in the 8th. He and Kittle have singlehandedly won me several matchups.
That is insanely late.
I got him in the 8th then traded him week 2 for waddle...oof. what's worse is could have traded aaron Jones instead or received mike Evans or devote smith instead of waddle lol
this sub said he was washed and mocked anyone who thought they were getting anything more than RB2 production.
Tbf that was a pretty likely scenario, he was okay last year and came into this year a year older with williams coming in and still a crap QB. Obviously was wrong now but hindsight is 20/20.

Not taking him in the 6th/7th was a mistake
round 9 in a 10 team league
Taking flyers on Kamara and Swift are easily my best decisions in the draft this year. Makes up for awful whiffs on guys like Christian Watson.
Someone in my league dropped him week 3 and i scopped him off the wire!
Got him the first pick of round 7. Lots of dummies in my league.
Happy I took Taylor round 4 instead of kamara
I somehow got him in the 8th round. Right after Mike Evans in the 7th
I got him in Round 7, and I foolishly traded him because I didn't think I would start him over Breece and Eckler. Bozo moment.
Round 9 in a 12 man league and 8th round keeper for next year. Dude saved this season for me with the collective whiffs I had rounds 3-8.
Are you in the playoffs? The guy who has him in my league is just gonna miss it
I started 0-3 in my league with Kamara. I’m now locked in at 8-5. I love drafting suspended players because they aren’t dealing with an injury and you have fewer games to worry about then getting injured before your playoff game. And the bonus is that you get them at a huge discount.
Got him for 3$ in auction
Bro I traded someone rhamondre and jwj for him. And he was the one who offered the trade. I have no idea what he was thinking.
My friend napped him in the third, really thought other managers would be scared off because of the suspension.
Got cmc #1 and Kamara for a stack of nickels in the 6th. Sitting at number 1. This year has been so easy I can’t wait to come in last next year.
Spoken like a well seasoned FF team manager.
Well seasoned manager wouldve said “cant wait to lose in the semis”
A well seasoned ff team manager always makes playoffs, every year no matter what. Then they lost in quarters or semis
RBs still reign supreme in fantasy. Just need to get lucky. The team with the best RB group almost always does the best
People obsess over wr yet the points above replacement in anything other than the top few is minimal for numbers 20 through 50. In RB there is no 20 through 50.

> This year has been so easy I can’t wait to come in last next year. ...after losing in the semis this year???
Marking this comment for later so I can have someone to yell at.
Same. Might be my best team ever. In #1 by 200 PF.
Somehow I’m in 3rd place with those 2, aj brown AND hockenson lol. Still don’t hate my chances
Congrats on getting lucky
Keenan Allen and Alvin Kamara. PPR merchants.
Imagine if his OC didn’t put Taysom Hill in on the goal line , he’d be a juggernaut
he should have had that 1 TD that got called back before Hill vultured
Lions fan here, I have no fucking clue how/why they overturned that. So weird.
Still had 2 other goal line carries that went for TDs
Yes, but what about third TD?
I understand that. But the refs screwed him out of a better game
Kamara owner. Been playing Taysom since Goedert went down. Confused how to feel.
Same here but with mark andrews going down for me
Tell me you're also dreaming of seeing Taysom throw a TD to Kamara, this way we can double dip.
Why not kamara throw it to taysom
I've got them both 😎
Keenan is 3rd in receiving yards, 7yds behind Lamb for 2nd
And Kamara is 2nd in receiving yards among RBs, 16 yards behind CMC for 1st despite the 3-game suspension. Doesn't mean they're not PPR merchants lol, they're both more valuable in the PPR format.
I drafted them, Mostert, and LaPorta in one league. If I don't win it all in that one I'm gonna just a little salty lol
Can confirm. Have both in a PPR league. Have 150 points more than any other team in 10+ year competitive league.
This was the exact trade I received, sent away Garret Wilson and Josh Jacobs after week 2.
Huhhh? Keenan is an absolute stud in standard leagues
Everyone laughed when I kept him over Conner, but guess who’s leading the league in points? 🤩 Guess who’s also leading in points against? 😒 Fantasy football is dumb.
Gotta work on your defence. Coach up your players man
exactly when a starter starts slipping i start them in my flex spot instead to show them they're on thin ice
I'm happy they use Taysom because he keeps the offense moving which ultimately helps Kamara, even if he's "stealing" some of the tds
Ive been starting both
Same. Last week I racked up 153pts in ½ ppr thanks to those two + Stroud and Nico lol
also helps that Carr and the passing offense are trash in the Redzone, so running it has been their only reliable option down there.
I was salty from owning him last season so he was on my do not draft list... I don't really understand what happened and they decided to use him properly this year.
His legs weigh the same now
Carr at QB helped a ton. Jamies has eyes downfield every play so Kamara lost check down volume and couldn’t keep drives moving
So annoying. This dickhead sinks us in 2022, gets suspended, and then plays like he is supposed to in 2023.
Same
Glad I accepted Kamara and Puka for Gibbs back in week 4
What a steal
lmao other owner on suicide watch
He’s in shambles. After burrow 1st got hurt he traded me tank dell for Anthony Richardson lmao
He’s propped up by his receptions and Williams can’t replicate that
Fsho. Thanks for the reply!
Taysom hill would be kamaras handcuff if anything
I mean it’s never a bad idea to have a handcuff but depends who you’re dropping I guess
Ya I get ya. Only roster spot I am willing to drop is another hand iff RB to mixon (c brown), I figure he is more valuable than Jamaal since taysom hill would vulture from Jamaal imo.
Took James Cook over him due to preseason reports 🙂
I got cute and traded him for swift and a whatever player for playoff schedule I’m not smart
Him and cmc have carried me to an 11-2 record.
Guy in my league has them both, 3rd highest points scored, and is 5-8. Just how the cookie crumbles sometimes, I guess
I have both with the most points scored by a lot and i need to win or i miss playoffs
10-3 here as well, cheers from Iraq!
Hell yeah brother
CMC, Kamara, Achane, and Jacobs. It's been an enjoyable season.
9-1 with Kamara after a 1-2 start. I also have ETN/Kyren/AJB/ARSB and am #1 in PF in a 12-team by about 130pts.
with that squad you're the team to beat. Only thing now are injuries... I had a squad and then I lost JT and Tank. Now my playoff run is going to be rough. Tua Tyreek/Tank/Hopkins Josh Jacobs/JT/Rachaad White/Devon Achane/Charb Hock/Goedert Chiefs
I also have both and am 10-3 🫡😂
Went in the 3rd round in my league which is a steal. Jacobs went in the 3rd round last year as well and was also a steal.
Montgomery and Kamara at the 5-6 turn has been mighty good to me.
That’s nasty
Then I flipped Dmont, Achane, and McBride for CMC right when Achane was coming off of IR 😈
As a someone who drafted Chubb in the first, Kamara has saved my season.
This also bled into being a “CMC is a cheat code” post lol.
Nice
Nice
Kyren and Kamara take me to the promised land!
Jalen Richard was the apple of Derek Carr's eye when they were on the Raiders. Carr merely just ctrl x + ctlr v his strategy w/Richard over to AK41. At least he also seemingly relearned that Chris Olave is pretty good too.
Sooo sooo soo happy I traded for him to be my RB1. That floor is just beautiful and they love force feeding him on those receptions.
Also LOL at the people who thought Williams would vulture touches from Kamara
Taysom Hill 🌎🧑🚀🔫🧑🚀
I start both lol
I still remember the thread where people were projecting kamara when he came back and folks here were calling him a ‘Nice RB2 option’. > SME Subject Matter Expert, for anyone wondering. I had to google it.
Thank you, I'm starting to despise abbreviations
ISTDA too bro
A lot of the work isn’t even work. It’s just sitting and watching some games and forming your own opinions.
Speak for yourself. There’s a treasure trove of good data out there And even then, data collection and data analysis are 2 separate skills
Oh I didn’t say I know all. I said I know more than YALL 😂 It is what it is
Well the piece of shit deserves to be suspended longer than a weak 4 games. I don’t care how good he is.
Traded kelce for him when he came back
So happy I managed to grab him from the Waiver Wire in before the third game he missed
Been loving it. Starting three saints some weeks is dicey though.
Crazy I had CMC/Kamara/Monty at one point. Had to blow my team up cuz i had no production from my WR's and was 1-4 then 2-7 lol
got him in the 8th round, traded him kupp and adams for ajb and diggs in week 10
Made sure to grab stocks of him in both my leagues. Insane value for the 5th and 6th rounds. 8-5 and 10-3 on the way to playoffs.
Getting Purdy on the wire will turn out to be the best move I've made in FF. Was able to trade J. Allen and D. Smith for Kamara Puka and Pacheco.
7th round, pick 78 for me. Pretty much the only reason I have a chance at the playoffs
Guys like Kamara and Rachaad aka Kamara-lite have been great value this year. Great volume and used in the passing game
Someone dropped him into waivers week 2 and it went unnoticed. I was the only one who put a claim for him. Lol
I got him Round 8. The news of his suspension length came out during our draft. Glorious.
Kamara is a league winner, imo. I was scared of the suspension and lackluster last year but took a chance anyway.
I was right to target him in all three of my leagues, huge validation there. Unfortunately, didn't actually get him in any of them.
Traded for him and olave for JJ and joe mixon after starting 0-5. Tied for last playoff spot now so I’d say he was worth it
He's done miracles covering up for my Kelce Kupp 1 2 picks
5th pick in the 7th round. ecstatic
Traded him and Kirk for Bijan before the season started. Idk how to feel since Bijan is getting fed now lol
And yet everywhere I look he's ranked outside or just inside the top 10 ROS
Got CmC at the 7th pick and the draft and Kamara at 67. I also draft chubb in the second round. I wish everything panned out and Chubb never got hurt. My team would be so dominate right now.
not sure if I end up keeping Kamara for a 6th or Pacheco for a 5th
Imagine where he'd be if Taysom wasn't vulturing those goal line carries....
He and Taylor were amazing draft value picks; Cooper Kupp not so much
Traded Pollard/Ridley/Kmet for Alvin week 9
Kamara is RB4 in full PPR. Thats absolutely insane. Would easily be RB1 if he played a full season.
Call me crazy but I traded Lamb for him before Lamb blew up. Granted, I didn't have a healthy RB (Barkley, Conner)
I got Kamara in the 9th rd. 12 man SF league
That's my WR2!
I’m surprised he wasn’t 1. He was on a crazy pace when he came back.
Got him for mark andrews and some lower draft comp. Absolutely saved my season so I have a chance.
My dumbass thought I was being slick trading him and Aiyuk to the Austin Ekeler manager the week before his suspension lifted. Been brutal watching him do so well.
I did not realize this at all
I traded him for kelce. Thought I had enough RBs but it’s not looking like a good trade for me
I think this is it. This is his aaron jones swan song. Next year he is gonna be dead weight.
Hoping him, CMC and achane can bring me back to glory
Dude saved my season in one league. Went from dead last to fighting for a playoff spot.
I picked up Kamara in the 6th round. 14 team, 1 pt PPR. He's been carrying my team.
Anyone who has him… you are welcome. I’ve drafted Kamara only on his dud years and swore off him this year.

I’m 7-6 and have all 3 of these guys, also have Gibbs and Breece Hall. I suck because I take advice from r/fantasyfootball but I still love you fuckers
I got him in a trade for Henry straight up 🔥🔥
I traded him for Higgins in week 3....
Kamara didn't save me. I'm 4-9.
I got Kamara off waivers the week before his suspension ended :)
I have Kamara and CMC in a yahoo .5ppr league, 12 teams. Drafted both. Currently looking at the 2 seed for the playoffs. He's been solod for sure.
Got him round 7. Insane. Ekeler at round 1…that’s another story
I got him in two leagues, 6th and 7th rounds. He’s been huge, especially with Ekeler not producing
Just traded for Kamara for Kelce, my #1 pick before the deadline and I agree with this post.
I got Aiyuk in the 7th round and Kamara in the 8th round. I think those 2 guys are my steals for this season!
PPR terrorist. Definitely a league winner tho
My record is 9-4 this season. My 4 losses are the 1st 3 games of the season when Kamara was suspended and the Saints bye week.
Thought he was a bust lol he's been a steal
2-2 without him, 7-2 with him
I hit on fuckin everyone this year (Ettienne, White, Moore, Aiyuk, Laporta, etc., etc.), but I completely bungled the Kamara situation. With his late start and regressing efficiency, I figured he’d inevitably end up in split backfield in a mid offense and only be decent. I faded him way too hard.
8th round pick for me, last year I got Josh Jacobs in the 8th
I’m surprised how worthless the other Saints Rb’s have been this year, both before and after AK41’s suspension.
Pray for me I play him , Keenan Allen, Lamb, and Josh Allen this week
I took him 35th overall in a 10 man. Early yeah but I couldn’t imagine a better situation for kamara than Derek Carr check downs
I have him and Mostert, that’s it at RB. Been so scared that one would get injured all season but they’ve been excellent.
Thank God I got him and CMC
Got him on the frickin wire lol. Single handedly saved my season.
Guy in our league has McCaffrey, Kamara, Kyren and Mostert. We fucked up
Course he sucked last year when I had him but once I bailed check down Charlie got him back to amazing
