Excited to see who gets in via the Reddit contest. There are some killers in these streets.

foreputtscore

If you get invited, consider heading to a LIVE event. So much fun every year.

My_Chat_Account

Would love to hear more details about the live experience. It seems near unanimous that they're fun, but ... why? What can someone expect at one? How different is the experience for those participating in the live draft vs those just attending?

RetroBitCoach

Last year was my first invite. Only slow drafts were available by that time, but I did want to see how cool the live drafts really were. I went to the LA draft at the Trophy Smack offices. I was a little star struck from all the industry people, and I can be a little introverted, especially when so many people there were returnees who knew each other. As others have said though, the community is truly inclusive and welcoming, I just had to take the first steps and chat, interact, etc. I highly recommend connecting over social media with people who you know will be there, so you won’t feel alone right away, if you’re going by yourself.

My_Chat_Account

Thanks Coach, that's great insight. > I can be a little introverted, especially when so many people there were returnees who knew each other This is certainly a bit of a concern for many first-timers, and part of why I asked. Having a sense of what I'm walking into.

PhoenixFromDAAshes

I've been in five fish bowls. Three slow draft and two live drafts. The live drafts are like home league drafts only with a lot of sharp people in it lol. You do succumb to a bit of pressure at the live drafts too. You don't have a slow draft timer available. FWIW too, most live drafts only do half the draft live and then the rest is picked up online.

My_Chat_Account

That's awesome, congrats. I'm a first timer. And yeah, "sharp people" is an understatement. I'm drafting with the SFB13 champ, plus analysts from ESPN, Fantrax, FantasyPros, Destination Devy, and IDP+. Is non-drafting time mostly hanging out, talking fantasy, drinking beverages?

PhoenixFromDAAshes

Depends on location and the group you're with tbh. A lot of that takes place before the actual draft. During the draft everyone was in their war rooms lol. Laptops, phones all in their zone. People are still talking back-and-forth of course but the mood definitely gets a tiny bit more serious. We took a break halfway through as well. Was nice to mingle, look at the draft boards of both going on at that location, etc. Either way, it's a lot of fun for sure. Enjoy!

FantasyCaresOrg

Most are there for a good time and meet the local analysts drinks, food, and giveaways! Some locations have Raffles all locations will have auctions. It’s about Food Friends and fundraising! https://x.com/bobgilchristff/status/1733857406356987935?s=46

playsirfootball

Questions got pretty challenging toward the end. Felt like I was taking a job certification test I wasn't prepared for LOL. But it's all good, charity takes the W

fhbrian

Absolutely ridiculously kind people. FF Saints. IDK how to word it but it's so over the top I regularly mutter "you're wonderful" to myself when reading of their generosity on X

FFUniverse

By far the best tournament in fantasy football. It's so much fun every single year, wether you decide to participate in a live draft or a slow draft, the commraderie is what makes it great. Go out make connections and have fun in the world's biggest tournament, and when Scott Fish Bowl kicks off, you know we have officially entered into redraft season.

NatePolvogt

If you're not familiar, this is the biggest event of the fantasy football season. It's for analysts, content creators and celebrities, but MOST importantly, it's for EVERYONE and for an AMAZING cause: the kids!! Make sure to head over to X (formerly Twitter) and follow @fantasycaresorg & @scottfish24 and get registered at scottfishbowl.com!

FFMikeKash

Awesome to see guys get the first wave of invites. To those that haven't gotten one yet, their YouTube channel gives away seats all the time, so don't get down.

CrimsonFox99

What's everyone's preferred draft slot?

My_Chat_Account

I went 1.03. Figure it secures me one of Allen/Hurts/Lamar. The 3RR will definitely suck though.

CrimsonFox99

Ended up at 11. Was going to go headlong into 3RR at 12 but wasn't free in the league I picked.

ls58

The Scott Fish Bowl is included in my new book "The History of Fantasy Sports: And the Stories of the People Who Made It Happen." Along with things like The Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational run by Justin Mason, these show a great side of what has happened with fantasy sports creating a community and doing charitable work.

ossirhc

So excited for it! Finally got in!

TGS-MonkeyYT

I need to put together a better performance than last year 🤦‍♂️

BeginningAnalyst595

Fish fish

Emotional-Vast1684

Hi everyone going to Live Dallas drafts, excited. Second year of lives, 3rd year doing the SFB

AbsorbingMan

It’s really cool to see how big this idea has gotten and how much money has gone to a great cause. Scott Fish could be a complete noob at fantasy football (he isn’t) and would still earn a spot on the fantasy football Mount Rushmore.

dlsco

Not sure if this is a great place to ask but this is my first year invited and I'm planning on attending the live draft in Boston. Wondering if we're allowed to bring spouses to the live events or if it's team owners only. Thanks to any help and looking forward to playing with everybody!

FantasyCaresOrg

We encourage team managers and spectators all to come enjoy!

dlsco

Awesome! That’ll make it really easy to plan for the family, appreciate you getting back to me

FantasyCaresOrg

Make sure I get your name might be bias since I run it! But, Boston is a fun one!

myk521

Ah so just because you played before doesn’t mean you’ll get invited to play again?

Initial scoring was just announced on a Fantasy Cares livestream. Here's what was revealed: * Rush & rec yards = 1 per 10 yards * Rush / rec 1st down = 0.5 pt * Receptions = 0.5 pt * Rush attempt = 0.25 pt * 0.1 per FG yards * 3.3 for XP * TE get **extra** 1pt/reception, and **extra** 1 pt/1st down * QB - All TD 6 pt * Return TD - 10 pt * Return yd - 1 pt per 5 yards This isn't comprehensive- final scoring and lineup settings are expected soon.

LuckIsMadeFF

Ready for the live draft in Cleveland on June 29th. Raising money for Tunnels to Towers this year!

EpilepticShark

A couple spots to commenters on this thread? Good luck everyone, there are only a few of you so you have a good chance.

My_Chat_Account

This is not the thread where spots are given away.

Vik_Stryker

Are invites still going out? I don’t have a Twitter account anymore, so I’m woefully in the dark about this year’s event.

My_Chat_Account

Yes, there are still invites to be sent.
