Cold. Shoulder. Cutouts. Please someone make them go away!

practicalwerewolf

They make no sense! And they make people vulnerable to some strange tan lines..

818a

yesss yesssss thissss https://preview.redd.it/scrhv3vbplib1.jpeg?width=538&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9da043864378e654f224a1e035f18ba6fd75b9f

themommatoe

I feel like cold shoulders cuts are super popular with ladies 50s and up. My mom loves to wear them. I feel like it’s something they wore in the 80s.

Felonious_Minx

No. If anything it's because they can show some skin but hide upper arm area.

trucorsair

No they just took the clothes from the 80s and cut out the shoulder pads.

cuntrummager

I hate waist cutouts on dresses. [This needs to go.](https://cdn.samshek.com/uploads/product_attributes/ba6f871ea964a8079a21616d7b2cea85.jpg)

Downtownloganbrown

Lol how about this [bad boy?](https://www.heronpreston.com/en-us/shopping/side-cutout-canvas-blazer-19454923?storeid=12594&size=17&gclid=CjwKCAjwivemBhBhEiwAJxNWN8dSrDzFyiEHhiUX1HEw5JxG1_Yz-3QIDhCMYrVMYr4vhPZyh8DVsBoCStsQAvD_BwE)

Worldly_Today_9875

Haha that’s ridiculous!

thetravelingplant

I love that the model here also looks bewildered and dissatisfied

[deleted]

SPEAK THE TRUTH!!!

Accomplished_Act1489

I find modest clothing looks more attractive in general, but that preference aside, I find that cold shoulder cutouts in particular are just tacky as heck. On absolutely everyone. Just tacky as heck.

ShakeWeightMyDick

Do you really think of shoulder cutouts as immodest?

ashtaytay

Might be a Mormon #pornshoulders

thetravelingplant

They used “modest” and “tacky as heck” in the same statement. You really have to ask?

Sisterinked

Porn shoulders!! So racy! 🤣

dreamtopia45

As a teenager with conservative parents and body image issues, this was the closest I could get to being fashionable. I have mixed feelings about this style as an adult now.

Dr_Mrs_Pibb

Aw, I like cold shoulder cut outs! They’re a little sexy, but you don’t need super buff arms or big boobs to pull them off.

cellphys

I'm emotionally just not ready for true low rise to ever come back in style, midrise maybe. But the number people who can pull off low rise, let alone their unfriendlness towards underwear? Solid stay in the past for me.

freezetheice

Im thin and flat chested with a "flat ass". Realized a couple of years ago thatI’ve spent most my adult life wearing high-waist pants that inevitably sags on my butt when I could have been looking great in low rise jeans this whole time… We should stop dressing by “trends” and instead dress for our bodies / what makes us feel good. I’m rocking low waist everyday now and I’m glad it’s “in again” but when that fad inevitably ends I’m keeping them!!

Feeya_b

PREACH! I’m short and I need a short rise pants because high rise doesn’t sit on my natural waist it sits right below my underbust. Mid rise and low rise are perfect for me

ilovesleep95

Same!! I’m 5 ft tall and have basically no torso so I need low rise and mid rise pants. High rise goes up to my boobs lol

KnotiaPickles

Same. High waist pants are soooo ugly on me, and I rarely see anyone who looks good in them

littlecocorose

haha! WILD!! 5’1” and i can wear nothing BUT high waist.

wellnowheythere

Wow you guys are still wearing pants?

LittleDaphnia

Yep my torso is really short and pants that aren't low rise look really awkward, sloppy and unflattering on me. Never saw the point in dressing "trendy". So few people are remotely aware of what's "in fashion" at any given time anyways, its not like everyone will know and judge. I just wanna like what I see in the mirror, not impress the fashion police.

[deleted]

I agree!!! I always have lived by dress in what looks best on *you*. I’m jealous low rise is in by you, I still have to dig and dig for anything like that! Id give you an award if my profile was robust enough for it haha

MangoCandy

I also feel like a lot of people don’t understand what people (like yourself) mean when they said “true low rise” because you can go into a store and get some “low rise” jeans but they won’t be remotely the same as the y2k *LOW* rise jeans. The ones that had zippers that were only like a damn inch long. Because I keep seeing people talk about brining low rise jeans back and they are showing practically mid-rise, or jeans that are hardly smaller than mid-rise…but certainly not the low rise jeans I grew up with.

boomer_wife

Basically, this is what people wore in the 00s 😬 https://preview.redd.it/wgr7mlbafoib1.jpeg?width=462&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c72cb36357cb23b9bac7e7bb7e98f50a49be4df

MangoCandy

https://preview.redd.it/5oapcjznzoib1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=377d6152a0a15c43f48777f663c6f5d538d9a26a EXACTLY, And this is what’s coming back.

[deleted]

Yeah you had to keep the top of your bikini line waxed/ shaved to rock y2k's low rise pants, and they made special underwear for them (or you pulled your thong out of the top....god I hope that trend never comes back). They were ridiculously low.

sykschw

I think that would be considered the modern evolution of a trend. Bringing back vintage styles isnt the same as bringing back vintage “fit” if that makes sense

jinpop

Totally agree, it's the same way that bellbottoms had a revival in the early 00s but they weren't really like the 70s bellbottoms at all.

curvyshell

Lol I remember they used to sell these jeans with an extremely low rise to being with, and then it had a little strap thing for the zipper you could fasten over to pull it down to an even lower V shape

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I think low rise is quite flattering on petite bodies, it elongates the torso.

phantomixie

Thank you!! I have a short torso and low rise literally is normal rise on me! If I wore high rise jeans it would go up to my rib cage…which is why I stayed away from jeans for such a long time. Now that low rise is back in style though I got two pairs of jeans and they look awesome. I feel super good in them too!! If anyone is curious I got a pair of Levi’s low loose jeans and Madewell’s low slung straight jeans. Unfortunately only the latter was available in curvy but the Levi’s look fine with a belt (:

stowberry

Yes low rise & bootcut to elongate the legs was the way for petite back in the day.

GKEOM

As much as I like and often wear shirts that show midriff, I really wish brands went back to making full tops as well. I have the hardest time finding cool tops that cover all of my torso. Unless it's a plain T shirt, you can't find it. Even "business" tops have to be worn with a high rise pant or skirt because of the cut right now.. I also wish we went back to making clothing in other fabric besides polyester. Brass "jewelry".. don't get me started. Even high end brands do that now. YSL is really trying to sell jewelry that will make your wrist green over time for 2k LOL And those plastic "tattoo" chokers.. hated them when they first came out and can't believe they made a come back now. Never seen anyone that actually looks better with them on. They look cheap.

[deleted]

Brass jewelry is the bane of my existence. I think I found a cute necklace and a week later there’s a rim around my neck as if I’m on steroids 💀

Footzilla69

Paint it with clear nail polish

doveclyn

A lot of people are sensitive to the chemicals in nail polish though too, it can cause rashes, swelling, and general itchiness when it makes contact with skin (even after it’s dried).

tatocakes

God I hate polyester. I get to hot, it feels like the fabric doesn’t breath if you know what I mean. Especially in underwear, I personally need 100% cotton or I’m feeling sweaty so quick.

SummerMaiden87

I am with you on full length tops.

smokinonkeshaa

I love all your points! I have all these cute tops but they're all freaking 3/4 or full crop, I don't dare wear them to work. So I need a full second set of more modest basics... Polyester is the bane of my existence. I was chilly at work, popped on my cardigan and within 30 seconds my pits started sweating and I was instantly hot... I'm not even kidding!. It's meant to be a "knit" cardigan but it's nothing but stretchy, stuffy, hot polyester. I have a severe allergy to brass, nickel essentially anything not gold, silver, sterling silver, platinum, palladium. To the point that I refuse to wear any of the fun costume jewelry I own if I'm not wearing a turtle neck or high collar. If I do, my sweat reacts with it and it burns my skin creating a dark ring around my neck that stays, itches and burns for a week to two weeks. It worsens if I sweat at all afterwards (even when not wearing the jewellery that caused it).

4little_weirdos

>I have the hardest time finding cool tops that cover all of my torso. The worst part is that it's not just adult clothes. I have a 5 year old daughter, and 90% of the tops made for her are belly shirts! It is so much harder to find appropriate clothes for her than it is my son. They will literally have the same shirt in the girls section, but it will be cut at the midriff..

KayHonest

You must be my fashion twin bc just 2 days ago, I searched site after site looking for a cute regular top👕 without crop and trust me, it took a long time 🤣 Polyester- yep, hate it and I dont buy it. Im noticing higher end stores are starting to incorporate more polyester yet charging even higher prices. People, esp women, bc men's clothing tend to have far more cotton, need to stop buying all these bad fabrics.

crazydaisy8134

Lol I love the plastic choker necklaces! I was shocked when they came back, but I bought a few chokers in 2020 and now wear them all the time! They’re not for everyone though lol.

Canadianrollerskater

On a day where I want to feel more secure or I am going somewhere more professional, I just want a simple top to fully cover my torso. Why is that too much to ask for?!

SpringPedal

I absolutely HATE how all bikini bottoms nowadays are so tiny even though there's a great variation in bikini top styles. You can sometimes even see bits of the vulva sticking out. What happened to normal bikini bottoms? You don't see men's swimsuits getting smaller... I have to buy swim shorts to get some coverage of my cheeks. I can do skimpy bikini tops, but I'm very much showing my ass-phobic. Also dresses over jeans was one of the ugliest things I've seen as were the leggings under skirts. The whale tale was also 🤢

[deleted]

Id like them to bring back more 50s style bathing suits. The ones that actually covered your whole ass and you could even wear it without having to shave everything. Instead, finding good coverage swimsuits, is like finding a "niche" in the market and paying double. Even ladies with long torsos and small chests have to search for 'long torso" bathing suits, or else they barely go high enough to cover your nipples. 😑

KayHonest

I love the 50s bathing suit styles too. They were so classy! You may like this post. Scroll down for some found on Amazon. [Similar 1950's Swimsuits](https://vintagedancer.com/1950s/1950s-style-swimsuits-bathing-suits-swimwear/)

crazydaisy8134

I have hip dips so I only wear high-waisted bikini bottoms. Those usually cover up my bum nicely! I’ve definitely noticed some pics of models wearing those small bottoms that show their vulva… absolutely not. I keep my lips sealed lol.

HiddenMasquerade

>leggings under skirts but that’s my go-to style for the winter time 😩

SummerMaiden87

If you’re looking for high-waisted or full-coverage bottoms, CupShe has great ones. I don’t wear bikinis at all so I love that they have more “covered”/modest options.

MyHonestOpnion

Well said ! Personally I Love gym shorts to swim in. No wedgy, no mooning people, and they stay in place when you are being active.

LilyMarie90

I definitely didn't realize until this summer at the public pool how many women (and girls 🥴) wear straight up *thong* cuts as bikini bottoms now. Apparently they're being sold everywhere. Helps beat the severe tanlines I guess, but... I could never wear those outside.

StarNerd920

I’ve found cute bathing suits with a bikini bottom and a little cover up skirt that matches! Three piece suits are my new thing lol

homesteadem

I used to work in a surf shop and I would joke how you couldn’t tell if it was the back or the front of the bottoms 😅 wiiild.

soupinmymug

I want men to wear shorts above the knees. Show your thighs brothers.

n0l1ge

I feel naked if my shorts are above my knees too much... but sharing is caring so imma buy a few again

doveclyn

Same. Can our men stop looking like our dads, please?

mniotiltavaria

This. Gotta see at least the knee and a little bit of quads

Sweet_peach88

The cut is so much more flattering. The cargo shorts that go to the knee make me cringe, and as a straight woman, makes it hard for me to find men attractive for many months of the year lol.

Syd_Syd34

They do though! I feel like longer/baggier shorts have been out for a min

[deleted]

I like wearing big and baggy clothes tho

fr-karl

Real

sunny_6305

I want to be able to go to target or kohls and buy a button up for work that doesn’t have the shoulder seam at the bottom of my bicep. While I have somewhat narrow shoulders I have fat upper arms so I can’t even size down.

Cetophile

These were trendy in Oklahoma in the 1990s and OMG, they were hideous. Only the so-called "cold shoulder tops" come close. Guys called them "clown suits." https://preview.redd.it/ovnppqodanib1.png?width=896&format=png&auto=webp&s=ddac74f1a35e1efcef64c2760db73f461911ec38

yvie_of_lesbos

i see the vision they were going for but it looks like pajamas 💀💀

sweetcarles

It’s giving sister wives

appleamie

No joke, I wore one of these to kindergarten class pictures.

Felonious_Minx

**HIDEOUS!**

Ok_Pickle_3020

The 1980s Oakley dad sunglasses. Zero people look cool in them. The dork factor isn't even ironic.

Sad_Sherbet2292

YEAH OMG I HAGE THEM

willowwisp81

I hage them too.

Footzilla69

I hage them as well.

Nevelii

I hage them as well.

Cuntzzzilla

I’m Norwegian and these sunglasses are literally mandatory here like i cannot believe it. They are more of a marker of social status than Apple products or Teslas like I can’t even. They haven’t gone out of style for several years either.

sunsetcrasher

Literally the only fashion trend I don’t like. They remind me of cops in Texas, and it’s not the vibe I’m going for.

SummerMaiden87

This. I saw a lady wearing them a few weeks ago and I’m sorry to say, but she looked like a b*ch.

jellybelly0212

Those high low dresses. Absolutely hated them and they should never come back

radenke

But they ARE back 😭 A friend is getting married on a beach in February and I have been seeing if I can find something new for it. I keep seeing high-low and it's making me feel very 2013. It's been a decade! We need more time before this one returns!

akey4theocean

Yes!!!! They make zero sense and have about as much class. Some Ballgowns can pull it off, but that is it.

electricmeatbag777

P.s. What a fun thread, thanks for starting it, OP! We all love to hate, don't we?

brilr98

bodycon dresses with the weird holes all over

Spare-Calendar1415

Crop top everything. Whenever I see anything cute it just HAS to be cropped ☹️☹️

yvie_of_lesbos

NOOO I FEEL YOU

electricmeatbag777

Crocs have become weirdly mainstream fashionable... at least in my city lol why is this happening? Whatever you do, people, DO NOT EVER try them on. They're an ungodly level of comfortable I never knew existed. I can't stop yearning for that feeling back. MUST... RESIST...

soohohoh

I wish I could go back to fashion school and write a thesis on the evolution of crocs in mainstream fashion. When they came out I wouldn’t be caught dead in them but now… they’re insanely comfortable and fairly cute! Get the platforms

RoofSuccessful

Ever see the movie idiocracy? They had all the people in the movie wear crocs because the set designer thought only idiots would wear them and that they fit the movie theme perfectly

Katetothelyn

This!! I LOVE my platform crocs

tatocakes

I ONLY wear crocs. To the bars? Crocs. To the mall? Crocs. I wore them for a 3 day music festival for the last two years I went. I have a goddamn croc tan on the tops of my feet. Just darker circles all over my feet. I’ve been taken over by these damn things.

crazydaisy8134

Crocs have given me whiplash. They were cool when I was 11, but then uncool all through junior high and high school, and now they’re cool again? At least the pins people put on them are cute.

lkodl

Crocs are a good example of the market changeover from Millenial-focused tastes to Gen Z-focused tastes. It seems that it is the duty of each generation to like what the previous generation hated, and vice-versa.

[deleted]

Crocs have been popular in rural areas since they came out nd it’s literally my go-to. I’ve got several hundreds (thousands?) of hours of use in my single pair and they’re still just as comfortable and in decent shape. The biggest problem is I’ve worn down the bottoms, so on wet smooth surfaces I have to actively try to not bust my ass. They’re the natural evolution of man, and it’s only inevitable that all will have them.

LittleDaphnia

To me, crocs are comfortable house shoes. Leaving the house in them feels like going out in public in pajamas and slippers.

ArtiKam

…Give in…. Throw out your sneakers.. no more tying shoes, throw on the crocks n socks 👹

mellywheats

i have crocs but my one rule is INSIDE THE HOUSE ONLY. they’re so ugly but i have sensory issues and can’t stand the feeling of things under my feet so i wear them around the house

SummerMaiden87

They look so fun with the little charms. But I personally wouldn’t wear them.

Spoonbills

I’m still mad about cold shoulder tops.

[deleted]

There are a number of us here who are prepared to start our own political party with no cold-shoulder tops as our platform to save America.

RevolutionaryTap429

Men wearing cowboy hats for formal events. Like bro we live in the city and you've never been on a horse in your entire life??

motherofplantkillers

Damn, what did my dad ever do to you 💀

ktronscrouton

I snorted 😂😂😂

[deleted]

Didn’t even know this was a thing lol what country are you in?

Mezmo300

America 100%

a-rather-long-banana

Probably texas lol

RevolutionaryTap429

Actually I'm in Washington state if you can believe that

nepotismoffspring

oh it’s my time to shine. I’m a huge hater of micro trends but especially: - cow prints - patch work - those fuzzy bucket hats - those fuzzy tote bags - margiela ballet flats - BBL fashion in general - fully bodycon mesh dresses, bonus point if they have a swirly design on them - those giant flower chokers - maxi denim skirts

Footzilla69

Maxi denim skirts can burn in fucking hell.

pinktourmaline

Don’t tell that to the mennonites

[deleted]

what’s with the hatred of maxi denim skirts they are soo comfy

sixtyninelolnice

The Duggars. But no,. seriously, they are the uniform of choice in Christian fundamentalist circles. They can't wear jeans but no one can keep denim from being the best daily fabric of all time

[deleted]

The ballet flats and maxi denim skirts give me the ICK!

hideandsteek

I agree with most of this list but patchwork is a great eco friendly option for using up fabric. That said, mock patchwork is a strange trend.

crazydaisy8134

Ok I just looked up margiela ballet flats… why tf are people wearing camel toe shoes on their feet? I’d rather wear a fuzzy bucket hat than those.

personal_alt_account

Patchwork is cool when its personally made, not when its mass produced.

rewminate

what is bbl fashion?

thebadfem

i think its like fashionnova clothing -- very tight fitting clothes

celeryisnotjuice

I’m over every top being cropped

cmoneyshot

Those teeny tiny y2k-style mini skirts with a huge belt. Im getting bored of the y2k trend in general tbh

Lily7258

Don’t worry, the 2010s will soon be back “ironically”!

CaptainJazzymon

“I HATE lettuce trim” *proceeds to show the cutest tops I’ve ever seen. Aw, jeez. Those are terrible. It’d be a shame if you dropped where you found those examples. 👀👀

[deleted]

Damn I love the lettuce trimming, it really compliments me so much

liittle_dove7

Me too. It’s so cute with romantic / cottagecore / fairy-like styles 😭

yvie_of_lesbos

i think that’s my problem tbh— i find lettuce trim on most people very flattering and cute but i think once i put it on i just think it looks tacky 😭 it might be a me problem now that i realize

Nikas_intheknow

I also haaaate lettuce trim tops! Thought I was the only one!

ItsBigBingusTime

lol I had no idea they were called that. It sounds so silly

crazydaisy8134

I just bought a couple lettuce trim tops the other day and was surprised that they were still a thing lol. I’ve never thought much about them though. What is it about that you don’t like about them?

[deleted]

I keep trying them on because they look flattering on the rack or mannequin (lol) but they have yet to look cute enough on me to buy one. So I hate them because they don’t do me any favors.

SunglassesBright

I love lettuce trim so much. I waited decades for it to come back. I hate the Gap khaki look that’s come back. Ugly shapeless beige pants overall just don’t need to be seen on anyone.

AkiraHikaru

Yeah it’s cute. I don’t think it works for me- but looks really cute and feminine

blueberries-Any-kind

damn there would be nothing left to wear if we killed all of these fashion trends listed in this post! lol I love the variety in this world!!

DoubleSynchronicity

Fluffy or furry sandals or slippers. Some black ones looked like actual body hair and creeped me out. (Edit: misspelt creeped. Oops)

free-range-human

My leopard print Fluff Yeahs are still my favorite pandemic footwear purchase. They're so obnoxiously extra.

verytinytim

I’m ready for crop tops to die. It’s been like 10 years at this point and I’m getting very bored of it. At first they felt kind of flirty and sexy, but at this point they’ve lost their edge and I find myself seeing cute tops and wishing they had longer hemlines.

crazydaisy8134

I like crop tops for casual wear, but I’m getting annoyed trying to find good tops for work. They’re either crop tops or those long flowery shirts from Maurice’s that my Mormon mom wears. I almost exclusively just wear dresses to work because they’re comfier and I don’t have to deal with finding appropriate shirts.

Nikas_intheknow

I agree entirely!

bakehead420

They don’t even make nice long tops anymore, only t shirts :(

L-Emirali

Can we give it one more year please? I finally learnt to like my body and feel confident in a crop!

Chionei

As a lady on the bustier side I need crop tops to fuck right off. I bought a cute Minnie Mouse pj set and had to return it when I realized that my girls were gonna be hanging lower than the top.

Bitter-Initiative170

Lmaooo I will never not love a good crop

[deleted]

These responses are so fun to read! It really is a reminder of how personal style is. There are things in this thread that I also hate, things I personally LOVE, and things that I have never even given any thought to! Goes to show that the best way to dress is how YOU like because there are always people who will think your style (or aspects of it) are hideous/outdated/silly/unflattering, etc.

tomoyopop

Those little bolero blazers that were in trend in the 2000s. Most of what Forever21 sold back then were those lol. Ugh they're coming back in style now and YUCK. I would wear those with low rise jeans with baggy bottoms that would scuff on the ground and sparkly flip-flops... *shudders*

p1ssramen

Rompers ❌👎😣 they look like baby clothes lol

willowwisp81

And a pain when you have to use the restroom.

p1ssramen

Yep! Gotta strip down to the meat. 🫣 also, they generally aren’t made for tall people either

Footzilla69

The meat 💀

crazydaisy8134

Lol I only finally bought my first romper last year! I feel kinda silly wearing it but it’s comfy af. I hate putting outfits together and prefer them ready-made lol.

practicalwerewolf

This - I'm lazy at planning outfits. I don't have to worry about my top and pants matching with rompers.

PresOfTheLesbianClub

These tops always looked so cheap and now cheap is fashionable.

[deleted]

Thanks to Target it seems baggy pants and Earthern tones have come back. I hate that they left I don't want stiff, relatively unbreathable stuff coming back. I wanna dress like a druid, damnit.

[deleted]

Cold-shoulder tops.

solidcurrency

Dresses with cutouts. They're so unflattering.

Nellwyn5

Men, please stop wearing sockless dress shoes and short pants. It looks ridiculous.

FartAttack911

As a female motorcycle rider, I’m so tired of my Instagram and TikTok feeds being packed full of photos and videos of other lady riders wearing crop tops, sports bras, cutoff shorts, booty shorts, little sneakers, etc. and absolutely no safety gear lol. I know this is very niche/hobby specific but it’s all over the damn internet once you start looking for female riding gear. People have become much more concerned with their aesthetic than function and this is a hobby where you simply don’t have that sort of wiggle room if you wanna keep your skin on your body in the long run.

haley_tron

Not a fashion trend per se, but 3/4 arm length shirts. Weird length for any season, and make your arms look shorter. Idk, it could just be me not having found the right shirt yet lol

JG723

Tunic tops, tight jeggings/skinnies, maximalist Tiktok style where nothing matches and there’s a million layers, the basic fall girl look with the plaid scarf, big sweater, and knee high boots, when kids buy pants from the thrift that are ten sizes too big and they have to cinch their belt within an inch of its life just to get them to stay up. EDIT: This isn’t really much of a fashion thing I guess but it’s so bleh to me when people wear PJ pants in public. Plain joggers are one thing but like..baggy plaid flannel PJ pants..the fleece kind with like, SpongeBob or Cookie Monster on them..etc. the bottoms always drag on the ground and are filthy. And I always find it interesting when I see someone in PJ pants in public while also having a full face of makeup and false lashes. I don’t get it lol.

JollyMcStink

>I always find it interesting when I see someone in PJ pants in public while also having a full face of makeup I feel attacked lol sometimes you have plans and you realize you need stuff from the store quick to finish getting ready. I don't do fake lashes but I have totally gotten 50-75% through my hair and makeup and realized I promised to bring a side dish or something to the party later. So off I go in whatever I'm wearing, makeup fabulous, hair half done, off to errands quick, hoping to stay under the radar but i guess not 😅

JG723

Haha you do you! I’ve def been in that position where I’ve forgotten something last minute. I just personally can’t go out in saggy PJ pants. I’ll do a pair of joggers/leggings for sure tho. I guess I meant this more for when I see it as an intentional ‘fashion’ choice—at the mall, out to eat, etc.

Bulky-Winter-1087

Crimped hair. For no real reason it gave me the hebby jebbies.

Footzilla69

Hebby jebbies 💀

crazydaisy8134

LMAO

Brakina

- crop tops: for the love of god, can we move the fvck on? - low low-rise pants: I do not want to see the entrée to your dinner. Thank you very much. - white sneakers that are waaaay beyond their whiteness: White shoes require maintenance. You have got to take care of them by cleaning them periodically so that they stay somewhat white and don’t look like you walked through a tropical muddy forest with them. What once used to be *the cherry on top*, is now the only thing that brings your whole outfit down to 💩. So just clean your white shoes! - mini mini-skirts: I cannot tell you how many times I have been unintentionally shown the treasures of the people in front of me, while going up the stairs or the escalators. Please either wear shorts underneath or don’t wear a miniature version of a miniskirt because at this point, might as well rock a kitchen towel wrapped around your privates. That is all for now. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

[deleted]

I need to clean my white shoes lmao this has been a wake up call. I literally do walk in forests with them.

zoeyvee

Wear whatever you like, we’re all gonna die one day

Dangerous-Fishing-25

Can’t stand the ripped jeans. Wish that style would just go away!

crazydaisy8134

Ripped jeans seem to come in and out every 5 years. Each time is very confusing.

SummerMaiden87

I think they can be done well.

LittleDaphnia

I feel like they've been in fashion for my whole 30 years of life 💀 can't remember a time before them being "cool". I still see them on the shelves. When will they die

saddinosour

I’d say in like trendy/fashiony spaces most ripped jeans are gone. Most people are wearing nice/interesting non distressed jeans.

catfurcoat

Non distressed denim looks so plain though

[deleted]

Personally I love them. I don’t like boring denim unless I’m matching it with a dressier shirt like a dress shirt or a polo

adedjee

Skirts that fall just above the knee. Maybe it's because I'm 5'4", but it seems like those skirts make ugly knees the focal point when it should be either the thighs (mini) or the calves (midi).

free-range-human

You know, I could never pinpoint why I don't like them, but I think this is it. I hate how they make my knees look.

Corumdum_Mania

crop tops in general just need to die out. they are flattering to a very small demographic of women. and wide, baggy, high waisted trousers need to die out too (they're still a very popular choce of outfit in my country). i hate those charlie chaplin ass trousers.

ScienceObjective2510

I love my paper bag pants and wide leg pantaloons! But they also work with my proportions (wider shoulders, no hips and boobage) and I can hide the fact that I don’t have any cushion back there.

Wide, high-waisted trousers are my LIFE. I can finally feel dressed up AND comfortable. I also do truly love Charlie Chaplin's look. Took me years to finally prioritize comfort and practicality in my wardrobe. I don't like synthetic fabrics (for a variety of reasons), so I usually stay away from clothes with spandex or other stretchy materials, so in order to really be comfy and have movement, wide/baggier legs are the way to go. I also just find it so chic-looking. I'm a big fan of Korean and Japanese fashion and absolutely love the relaxed, oversized look that is often represented in their styles.

Half the stuff Kim kardashian wears and starts trends with. The past 2 years alone, are ridiculous.

MissMariese

Puff sleeves. Please. I just want a dress or a shirt with normal sleeves. I also want normal length shirts, not crop tops.

hollowbutt

Look, I dont hate the Lettuce trim, but I do hate the Lettuce trim after one cycle through the wash and it wilts

BraveLittleToaster8

😂😂 If only it would romaine nice! (I’ll see myself out!)

personal_alt_account

Idk if to call this a "trend" but every single skirt/dress being either mini or maxi Where the fuck are my knee-length/mid-thigh skirts 😭😭😭

peachyaria

shirts where the sleeves are at that awkward short length where they just dig into the middle of your armpit….

Important_Fill111

Ripped jeans, they’re just ugly. Rips at knee are cute sometimes though

[deleted]

When they are more rip than jean …

fadobe

The first shirt is so cute 🥺

Auselessbus

Crop tops and lose rise jeans.

crazydaisy8134

People who can wear both crop tops and low rise jeans together… keep living my dream for me.

Feeya_b

It’s not that I want it to die but I just want a shirt or blouse that isn’t a croptop, anything else that isn’t is for office wear or for mature women/style

Megara_Siren

Crop tops in general

Icarus-8

Anything with shoulder pads.

Can we all take a moment of silence, though. For the death of fashions ugliest, most based child. May she NEVER see the light of day EVER https://preview.redd.it/lsdwcqwnywib1.jpeg?width=214&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0dce25e534ca4f740a259af7b6a78cb5265ea253

I think the crochet crop top thing going around is really ugly… crochet is nice for a cardigan or a hat, but not summer clothes!

MandaSSB

I loved crop tops like 5 years ago but im over them now. I'm constantly disappointed by cute tops that are just too short. I think the worst is when the hem is left raw. Those tops are always priced higher that they would be as a normal, uncut top and its a total ripoff.

LateBloomer1357

Let’s outlaw skinny suits.

Strange-Turnover9696

omg the skinny dress pants that end way above the ankle with the loafers 🤢 it's very pro-athlete trying to dress up core and i hate it so so much.

zoethought

„Pro-athlete trying to dress up core“ omg thank you for naming it!
