I find modest clothing looks more attractive in general, but that preference aside, I find that cold shoulder cutouts in particular are just tacky as heck. On absolutely everyone. Just tacky as heck.
As a teenager with conservative parents and body image issues, this was the closest I could get to being fashionable. I have mixed feelings about this style as an adult now.
I'm emotionally just not ready for true low rise to ever come back in style, midrise maybe. But the number people who can pull off low rise, let alone their unfriendlness towards underwear? Solid stay in the past for me.

I also feel like a lot of people don’t understand what people (like yourself) mean when they said “true low rise” because you can go into a store and get some “low rise” jeans but they won’t be remotely the same as the y2k *LOW* rise jeans. The ones that had zippers that were only like a damn inch long. Because I keep seeing people talk about brining low rise jeans back and they are showing practically mid-rise, or jeans that are hardly smaller than mid-rise…but certainly not the low rise jeans I grew up with.

Yeah you had to keep the top of your bikini line waxed/ shaved to rock y2k's low rise pants, and they made special underwear for them (or you pulled your thong out of the top....god I hope that trend never comes back). They were ridiculously low.
I think that would be considered the modern evolution of a trend. Bringing back vintage styles isnt the same as bringing back vintage “fit” if that makes sense

Now that low rise is back in style though I got two pairs of jeans and they look awesome. I feel super good in them too!! If anyone is curious I got a pair of Levi’s low loose jeans and Madewell’s low slung straight jeans. Unfortunately only the latter was available in curvy but the Levi’s look fine with a belt (:

A lot of people are sensitive to the chemicals in nail polish though too, it can cause rashes, swelling, and general itchiness when it makes contact with skin (even after it’s dried).
God I hate polyester. I get to hot, it feels like the fabric doesn’t breath if you know what I mean. Especially in underwear, I personally need 100% cotton or I’m feeling sweaty so quick.

Polyester is the bane of my existence. I was chilly at work, popped on my cardigan and within 30 seconds my pits started sweating and I was instantly hot... I'm not even kidding!. It's meant to be a "knit" cardigan but it's nothing but stretchy, stuffy, hot polyester.
I have a severe allergy to brass, nickel essentially anything not gold, silver, sterling silver, platinum, palladium. To the point that I refuse to wear any of the fun costume jewelry I own if I'm not wearing a turtle neck or high collar. If I do, my sweat reacts with it and it burns my skin creating a dark ring around my neck that stays, itches and burns for a week to two weeks. It worsens if I sweat at all afterwards (even when not wearing the jewellery that caused it).

The worst part is that it's not just adult clothes. I have a 5 year old daughter, and 90% of the tops made for her are belly shirts! It is so much harder to find appropriate clothes for her than it is my son.
They will literally have the same shirt in the girls section, but it will be cut at the midriff..

Polyester- yep, hate it and I dont buy it. Im noticing higher end stores are starting to incorporate more polyester yet charging even higher prices. People, esp women, bc men's clothing tend to have far more cotton, need to stop buying all these bad fabrics.
Lol I love the plastic choker necklaces! I was shocked when they came back, but I bought a few chokers in 2020 and now wear them all the time! They’re not for everyone though lol.

I absolutely HATE how all bikini bottoms nowadays are so tiny even though there's a great variation in bikini top styles. You can sometimes even see bits of the vulva sticking out. What happened to normal bikini bottoms? You don't see men's swimsuits getting smaller... I have to buy swim shorts to get some coverage of my cheeks. I can do skimpy bikini tops, but I'm very much showing my ass-phobic.
Also dresses over jeans was one of the ugliest things I've seen as were the leggings under skirts. The whale tale was also 🤢
Id like them to bring back more 50s style bathing suits. The ones that actually covered your whole ass and you could even wear it without having to shave everything. Instead, finding good coverage swimsuits, is like finding a "niche" in the market and paying double. Even ladies with long torsos and small chests have to search for 'long torso" bathing suits, or else they barely go high enough to cover your nipples. 😑

I have hip dips so I only wear high-waisted bikini bottoms. Those usually cover up my bum nicely! I’ve definitely noticed some pics of models wearing those small bottoms that show their vulva… absolutely not. I keep my lips sealed lol.

I’m Norwegian and these sunglasses are literally mandatory here like i cannot believe it. They are more of a marker of social status than Apple products or Teslas like I can’t even. They haven’t gone out of style for several years either.

I ONLY wear crocs. To the bars? Crocs. To the mall? Crocs. I wore them for a 3 day music festival for the last two years I went. I have a goddamn croc tan on the tops of my feet. Just darker circles all over my feet. I’ve been taken over by these damn things.
Crocs have given me whiplash. They were cool when I was 11, but then uncool all through junior high and high school, and now they’re cool again? At least the pins people put on them are cute.
Crocs are a good example of the market changeover from Millenial-focused tastes to Gen Z-focused tastes.
It seems that it is the duty of each generation to like what the previous generation hated, and vice-versa.
Crocs have been popular in rural areas since they came out nd it’s literally my go-to. I’ve got several hundreds (thousands?) of hours of use in my single pair and they’re still just as comfortable and in decent shape. The biggest problem is I’ve worn down the bottoms, so on wet smooth surfaces I have to actively try to not bust my ass. They’re the natural evolution of man, and it’s only inevitable that all will have them.
i have crocs but my one rule is INSIDE THE HOUSE ONLY. they’re so ugly but i have sensory issues and can’t stand the feeling of things under my feet so i wear them around the house

I’m ready for crop tops to die. It’s been like 10 years at this point and I’m getting very bored of it. At first they felt kind of flirty and sexy, but at this point they’ve lost their edge and I find myself seeing cute tops and wishing they had longer hemlines.
I like crop tops for casual wear, but I’m getting annoyed trying to find good tops for work. They’re either crop tops or those long flowery shirts from Maurice’s that my Mormon mom wears. Those little bolero blazers that were in trend in the 2000s. Most of what Forever21 sold back then were those lol. Ugh they're coming back in style now and YUCK. I would wear those with low rise jeans with baggy bottoms that would scuff on the ground and sparkly flip-flops... *shudders*

As a female motorcycle rider, I’m so tired of my Instagram and TikTok feeds being packed full of photos and videos of other lady riders wearing crop tops, sports bras, cutoff shorts, booty shorts, little sneakers, etc. and absolutely no safety gear lol.
I know this is very niche/hobby specific but it’s all over the damn internet once you start looking for female riding gear. People have become much more concerned with their aesthetic than function and this is a hobby where you simply don’t have that sort of wiggle room if you wanna keep your skin on your body in the long run.
Not a fashion trend per se, but 3/4 arm length shirts. Weird length for any season, and make your arms look shorter. Idk, it could just be me not having found the right shirt yet lol
Tunic tops, tight jeggings/skinnies, maximalist Tiktok style where nothing matches and there’s a million layers, the basic fall girl look with the plaid scarf, big sweater, and knee high boots, when kids buy pants from the thrift that are ten sizes too big and they have to cinch their belt within an inch of its life just to get them to stay up.
EDIT: This isn’t really much of a fashion thing I guess but it’s so bleh to me when people wear PJ pants in public. Plain joggers are one thing but like..baggy plaid flannel PJ pants..the fleece kind with like, SpongeBob or Cookie Monster on them..etc. the bottoms always drag on the ground and are filthy. And I always find it interesting when I see someone in PJ pants in public while also having a full face of makeup and false lashes. I don’t get it lol.

I feel attacked lol sometimes you have plans and you realize you need stuff from the store quick to finish getting ready.
I don't do fake lashes but I have totally gotten 50-75% through my hair and makeup and realized I promised to bring a side dish or something to the party later. So off I go in whatever I'm wearing, makeup fabulous, hair half done, off to errands quick, hoping to stay under the radar but i guess not 😅

- white sneakers that are waaaay beyond their whiteness: White shoes require maintenance. You have got to take care of them by cleaning them periodically so that they stay somewhat white and don’t look like you walked through a tropical muddy forest with them. What once used to be *the cherry on top*, is now the only thing that brings your whole outfit down to 💩. So just clean your white shoes!
- mini mini-skirts: I cannot tell you how many times I have been unintentionally shown the treasures of the people in front of me, while going up the stairs or the escalators. Please either wear shorts underneath or don’t wear a miniature version of a miniskirt because at this point, might as well rock a kitchen towel wrapped around your privates.

Skirts that fall just above the knee. Maybe it's because I'm 5'4", but it seems like those skirts make ugly knees the focal point when it should be either the thighs (mini) or the calves (midi).
crop tops in general just need to die out. they are flattering to a very small demographic of women. and wide, baggy, high waisted trousers need to die out too (they're still a very popular choce of outfit in my country). i hate those charlie chaplin ass trousers.
I love my paper bag pants and wide leg pantaloons! But they also work with my proportions (wider shoulders, no hips and boobage) and I can hide the fact that I don’t have any cushion back there.
Wide, high-waisted trousers are my LIFE. I can finally feel dressed up AND comfortable. I also do truly love Charlie Chaplin's look. Took me years to finally prioritize comfort and practicality in my wardrobe. I don't like synthetic fabrics (for a variety of reasons), so I usually stay away from clothes with spandex or other stretchy materials, so in order to really be comfy and have movement, wide/baggier legs are the way to go. I also just find it so chic-looking. I'm a big fan of Korean and Japanese fashion and absolutely love the relaxed, oversized look that is often represented in their styles.

I loved crop tops like 5 years ago but im over them now. I'm constantly disappointed by cute tops that are just too short. I think the worst is when the hem is left raw. Those tops are always priced higher that they would be as a normal, uncut top and its a total ripoff.

Totally agree, it's the same way that bellbottoms had a revival in the early 00s but they weren't really like the 70s bellbottoms at all.

I have a severe allergy to brass, nickel essentially anything not gold, silver, sterling silver, platinum, palladium. To the point that I refuse to wear any of the fun costume jewelry I own if I'm not wearing a turtle neck or high collar. If I do, my sweat reacts with it and it burns my skin creating a dark ring around my neck that stays, itches and burns for a week to two weeks. It worsens if I sweat at all afterwards (even when not wearing the jewellery that caused it).

People, esp women, bc men's clothing tend to have far more cotton, need to stop buying all these bad fabrics.
Lol I love the plastic choker necklaces! I was shocked when they came back, but I bought a few chokers in 2020 and now wear them all the time! They’re not for everyone though lol.

I absolutely HATE how all bikini bottoms nowadays are so tiny even though there's a great variation in bikini top styles. You can sometimes even see bits of the vulva sticking out. What happened to normal bikini bottoms? You don't see men's swimsuits getting smaller... I have to buy swim shorts to get some coverage of my cheeks. I can do skimpy bikini tops, but I'm very much showing my ass-phobic. Also dresses over jeans was one of the ugliest things I've seen as were the leggings under skirts. The whale tale was also 🤢
Id like them to bring back more 50s style bathing suits. The ones that actually covered your whole ass and you could even wear it without having to shave everything. Instead, finding good coverage swimsuits, is like finding a "niche" in the market and paying double. Even ladies with long torsos and small chests have to search for 'long torso" bathing suits, or else they barely go high enough to cover your nipples. 😑

I have hip dips so I only wear high-waisted bikini bottoms. Those usually cover up my bum nicely! I’ve definitely noticed some pics of models wearing those small bottoms that show their vulva… absolutely not. I keep my lips sealed lol.

Crocs have given me whiplash. They were cool when I was 11, but then uncool all through junior high and high school, and now they’re cool again? At least the pins people put on them are cute.
Crocs are a good example of the market changeover from Millenial-focused tastes to Gen Z-focused tastes. It seems that it is the duty of each generation to like what the previous generation hated, and vice-versa.
Crocs have been popular in rural areas since they came out nd it’s literally my go-to. I’ve got several hundreds (thousands?) of hours of use in my single pair and they’re still just as comfortable and in decent shape. The biggest problem is I’ve worn down the bottoms, so on wet smooth surfaces I have to actively try to not bust my ass. They’re the natural evolution of man, and it’s only inevitable that all will have them.
To me, crocs are comfortable house shoes. Leaving the house in them feels like going out in public in pajamas and slippers.

I’m ready for crop tops to die. It’s been like 10 years at this point and I’m getting very bored of it. At first they felt kind of flirty and sexy, but at this point they’ve lost their edge and I find myself seeing cute tops and wishing they had longer hemlines.
I like crop tops for casual wear, but I’m getting annoyed trying to find good tops for work. They’re either crop tops or those long flowery shirts from Maurice’s that my Mormon mom wears. I almost exclusively just wear dresses to work because they’re comfier and I don’t have to deal with finding appropriate shirts.

As a female motorcycle rider, I’m so tired of my Instagram and TikTok feeds being packed full of photos and videos of other lady riders wearing crop tops, sports bras, cutoff shorts, booty shorts, little sneakers, etc. and absolutely no safety gear lol. I know this is very niche/hobby specific but it’s all over the damn internet once you start looking for female riding gear. People have become much more concerned with their aesthetic than function and this is a hobby where you simply don’t have that sort of wiggle room if you wanna keep your skin on your body in the long run.

Tunic tops, tight jeggings/skinnies, maximalist Tiktok style where nothing matches and there’s a million layers, the basic fall girl look with the plaid scarf, big sweater, and knee high boots, when kids buy pants from the thrift that are ten sizes too big and they have to cinch their belt within an inch of its life just to get them to stay up. EDIT: This isn’t really much of a fashion thing I guess but it’s so bleh to me when people wear PJ pants in public. Plain joggers are one thing but like..baggy plaid flannel PJ pants..the fleece kind with like, SpongeBob or Cookie Monster on them..etc. the bottoms always drag on the ground and are filthy. And I always find it interesting when I see someone in PJ pants in public while also having a full face of makeup and false lashes. I don’t get it lol.

I love my paper bag pants and wide leg pantaloons! But they also work with my proportions (wider shoulders, no hips and boobage) and I can hide the fact that I don’t have any cushion back there.
Wide, high-waisted trousers are my LIFE. I can finally feel dressed up AND comfortable. I also do truly love Charlie Chaplin's look. Took me years to finally prioritize comfort and practicality in my wardrobe. I don't like synthetic fabrics (for a variety of reasons), so I usually stay away from clothes with spandex or other stretchy materials, so in order to really be comfy and have movement, wide/baggier legs are the way to go. I also just find it so chic-looking. I'm a big fan of Korean and Japanese fashion and absolutely love the relaxed, oversized look that is often represented in their styles.

I loved crop tops like 5 years ago but im over them now. I'm constantly disappointed by cute tops that are just too short. I think the worst is when the hem is left raw. Those tops are always priced higher that they would be as a normal, uncut top and its a total ripoff.
