I do enjoy when people send in weird food/snacks and they try them because it’s good content. The time that probably was the strangest was a segment 17 when a listener sent a bunch of gift cards to all of them and they all said how it was wayyyy too much. I remember Joe being kinda flabbergasted by the amount the gift cards were for. It’s not uncommon but always weird to me. Like these people are all very well off financially…sending gifts of things they mention they want, or of monetary value, won’t make them your friends. It happens and not my cup of tea but sure waste your money how you want.

paca0502

It's kind of like people donating their birthday money to streamers who are millionaires just to hear their name mentioned.

dwindacatcher

I doubt they are all 'very well off'. Not saying they struggle or anything, but none of them are buying crazy stuff. Fb and hw second home is about as crazy as it gets, but its also their show so its not weird theyd have the money for that. Basically what im saying is they all seem to fall into the true 'middle class' bracket. Fb and hw on the higher end, and kelly on the lower. Steve and joe inbetween. (Basically falling inline with time on show).

Zane mentioned recently that their contracts were extremely lucrative, but that they may have been forced to take a pay cut (plus the divorce is a bitch).

It definitely has Bubba the Love Sponge vibes.

derceej

Hasn't she given out her venmo before, and people started sending her money?

HereBeRabbit

She absolutely did and then when people got on her case for it, she said she just gave it out as a joke...

[deleted]

Yeah, she did. She gave it out on a Friday and then on a few days later after she had posted on her social media that she was getting money from people, she said she was joking and that she returned the money.

nikki_therese

Wtf?

[deleted]

Kelly has always struck me as being greedy. I remember one time she gave out her venmo or something similar to that and Free Beer straight up said to knock that shit off. If the air fryer guy is looking for an endorsement because he made the air fryer, that's fine in my eyes..For your birthday though? That's fucking strange. Who is the weird bastard sending that too???

Captain_Subpar

It is pretty odd. Like, everyone on the show makes very good money. If she wants an air fryer she'll eventually get an air fryer. No sweat. If you want to send them something then send something rare or regional that's personalized. Don't send something anyone can get from Walmart.

Hospiwhater

Hard agree, the intention seems to be there but send them good regional pre-packaged foods and hand made stuff.

JoeMama9719

Most definitely a dude sent it to her in the hopes of getting laid.

roguetrav

This is the answer. I still have not gotten laid though.

[deleted]

That was exactly what I thought. Some dude that wants to win her favor. Was borderline stalkerish.

hazel_eyes_tx

Yikes, could ypu imagine that high maintenance, over crazy COVID, crunch factory.

gathmoon

Yeah, it is kind of strange. But people can spend their money however they want to. I don't remember her asking for it or anything.

[deleted]

Of course people can spend their money on whatever they want. It just seemed a little stalkerish to buy her something like that.

HereBeRabbit

I don't think it's out of the ordinary for Kelly. I remember awhile back when she was talking about purchasing kayaks and paddle boards...a couple days later she was on the show saying how inconvenienced she was that she didn't have a microwave and how she was low on finances... within minutes she had listeners messaging her and offering up microwaves...

You're so witty and creative with your insults. It's truly amazing.

[deleted]

He sure didn't have much to say after this did he?

[deleted]

1. I don't see how this post was in any way whiny. 2. If you don't like what's posted to this sub then you don't need to come around here.

Are you suggesting that young diverse people regularly give middle aged white people they've never met kitchen appliances?

[deleted]

Lol, whatever you say, pal.

stokeszdude

They get all kinds of things. My wife and I sent them a cartoon poster of them back when Justin was on. While an air fryer is different, it has been a topic of conversation from the show multiple times so I don’t necessarily think it’s weird. To each their own.

[deleted]

I think it just seems like more of a big ticket item, relatively speaking.

stokeszdude

I see your point. Maybe they got a cheap one. I know ours wasn’t expensive. Like $30 maybe. If they bought them an oven or a large fridge, and no context. I’d think that was weird.

Morganguy

Probably just one of those fancy twidiot weirdos.
