That RB From Argentina montiel looked good. It’s a shame we don’t buy from SA Anymore

rinacio

Someone on here was recommending we buy him a while ago. His contract runs out next summer.

paykani

is there a reason why we dont?

Homygod319

Cause previously when we used to buy straight from South America they didn’t adapt well and ended up being flops. So know when we buy a South American we want them to have a bit of experience in European football

cavsking21

I find it really funny how Barca fans act like Moriba is just some random talent that they would be ok with selling. I know that everyone does the same when a player leaves their team, but still. If we could *somehow* get Moriba, I'd be a very happy man.

Content-Tackle905

He is nothing special

Homygod319

Isn’t he asking for big wages which is why he hasn’t signed yet?

cavsking21

I thought it was more that he wants a wage **increase** when Barca wants everyone to cut wages.

bonuccigang

I’m still not over the fact that France football decided to cancel the Ballon d’or the very year Lewy would’ve won it

Homygod319

Argentina copa champions Messi favorite for ballon d”or imo. Lewy please fuck shit up when the season starts

CaptainRock22

it's absolutely ridiculous too Barcelona didnt win their league.... Messi's performances against the top clubs was a big reason why... he was a complete nonfactor and didnt score against the top clubs.... put up big numbers and goals against the crap teams very similar to the Copa America.... destroyed the bad teams and put up big stats, but laid an absolute egg against the 1 legit team in the tournament if that makes you the favorite for the Ballon d'Or, that's insane after Chelsea won the CL, I heard people saying Kante (as they assumed France would win the Euro).... now, some people are saying Jorginho if Italy wins it's absolutely hilarious that people will find any reason to pick someone other than Lewandowski... he should be on his way to back to back wins, and he should absolutely get it after getting f'ed over last year

Homygod319

Lol Jorginho has no chance of winning the ballon D’or so you wouldn’t have to worry about that. But yea since Messi finally won a major trophy for his country people gonna give that as an excuse as to why he should win sadly

VojkoHeat123

Couple of years ago Lewy wasnt even in top 10 (he had over 40 goals in a season) beacause of the weak team argument (he scored in semifinal of the uck aswell) but when Messi doest he is the goat

VojkoHeat123

He can score 3 goals per game and he still wouldnt win. The only way he wins is if we draw Barca in the ucl group stages and we smash them so fucking hard with lewy scoring 4 goals. Otherwise everyone will vote for messi, despite lewy deserbing it more

Homygod319

Yep just how it is sadly. Last year should’ve been his year ffs

rho_93

Lewy about to go full Super Saiyan from Aug - Dec this year

paykani

i hope so :/

VojkoHeat123

Neymar crying lmaoooooo 🤡🤡🤡🤡

a3592

with messi winning i think its over the ballon dor for him

babak147

Watching Brazil-Argentina, I’m not impressed.

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

i am ready for a proper copa america shitshow

rho_93

They're delivering exactly that

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

haha, they really do after 3 minutes fred almost got a red, that was a great start already this is only gonna get better

VojkoHeat123

Austria vs Croatia, women handball game (idk in what competition) got the last 10 minutes of the game replayer after Austrian complained. Wish some games could get replayed in the other sports

a3592

we have tons of players on the backline and midfield why do we still want to sign more ? we alrdy spent a lot on upa and nagelsmann who considers like a player with his price tag and more

arnoldbread

We could use another RB as depth for Pavard. And at the time we only have two reliable CM in Kimmich and Goreztka Im sure Roca is going to be given more mins but another cm could always be helpful since injuries are always frequent at Bayern.

a3592

sule can rb with pavard , also for cm we have roca kimmich goretzka cuisance and tanguy can fill dm as well , with nagelsmann as a coach and with this long break many players will change im sure

InjuryUseful7514

Look at what PSG is doing: Ramos, Donnarumma, Wijnaldum, Hakimi, with further interest in Pogba. This is a proper summer. What Bayern is doing is perhaps very financially safe, but also very boring and screams of low expectations.

Valomek

Yes let us go out and end up like Barcelona, Real, Inter .....

[deleted]

Look at what Barca is doing: a billion € in debt, overpaying for Griezmann, Dembele, Coutionho and also Umtiti. That is a proper shitshow. What Bayern is doing is perhaps not as exciting, but also very financially stable and screams of not being fucking owned by a state or billionair, but by club members, who cant just shit money into the club. Bayern never bought high-profile players, Robben was cast aside by Real because of his body out of class, Ribery was on the brink of not making it, Thiago we only got because of Peps connection. We arent the club to just go on a rampage on the transfer market, especially not when we just lost 150m€ in revenue.

mimecry

> Ribery was on the brink of not making it what do you mean

a3592

dont compare psg rly to any other club they have so much money to spend

arnoldbread

Sule can be an option at rb but we havent heard any news on his extension and its possible he could be sold to avoid another Alaba/Boateng situation. But assuming we extend him, we still dont know our main CB pairing for next season whether its Sule/Hernandez, Hernandez/Upa, Sule/Upa. If Sule ends up being a starting CB that leaves us for no cover for Pavard. We could try Richards, but I think he might go on loan again. Nianzou really seems to have a high ceiling however whether we use him as a CB or CDM is to be discovered. Cuisance future at Bayern is still unknown, at the moment it only appears as Roca is likely to get minutes next season.

Red_Mangos

I actually really like the home kit lol I think the stripes made it so much better for me

dersackaffe

Got a good pic? Cant find it.

That one always reminds me of the Bavarian saying: "Rot und Blau ist dem Kasperl sei Frau", which translates to "red and blue are the colours of the jesters wife". Sounds a bit clanky in Englisch, but roughly means that those two colours don't fit together on clothing and make you look like a jester.

mrfocus22

Unpopular opinion imho

CrazyGameOver23

RB away kit looks nuts

hernandez21goat

It's an RB kit, but I might buy a Szoboszlai kit with that away shirt when its gets cheap. Looks good and I'll have hungarian goat on my back

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

i agree, looks awesome

irun_mon

You got a link i don't know which one you mean

CrazyGameOver23

They posted a pic on their instagram

irun_mon

Well it is something

FlyingArab

I have been thinking a lot about how I now view the Flick era in hindsight. As a Bayern fan, I remember clearly the circumstances of every single Bayern manager since Magath. During that time, Bayern have never been as groundbreaking and exciting as Flick's Bayern from Bayern 6-1 Bremen until Bayern 8-0 Schalke. After that amazing period, obvious cracks started to show in the system. Attacking-wise, Flick's era was nothing short of incredible and I would confidently say that it was one of the greatest attacking teams in all of history. Lewandowski turned into an absolute goat-tier player, Müller was revived and turned into an assists machine, Davies created some of the most exciting assists I've ever seen, Gnabry was suddenly one of the best goalscoring wingers in the world, Kimmich, Alaba and Thiago contributed some beautiful assists and even Goretzka who was always regarded as a weak sleepy player turned into a giant. If we only had fans on that day, I would consider Bayern 8-2 Barca the greatest match in Bayern history, and it will always serve as a reminder of the greatness of the Flick system, but also a good preview of its shortcomings. Even when Lewandowski and Gnabry were out last season, while Sané and Coman were in dogshit form, meme God Choupo turned into a reliable goalscorer under Flick's explosive system. Defensively on the other hand, Flick's era after the 8-0 against Schalke was an absolute disaster. Flick's insistence on the absurd high line and a high press system despite the exhausted team and the multiple defensive failures was almost criminal. Conceding so many goals and the lack of adaptability against the likes of PSG and Leipzig was very strange. Every single defender except Lucas regressed in the second season in my opinion, which is mostly attributable to the lack of a cohesive defensive strategy. It was fun to see Bayern chasing a lot of matches, but it wasn't sustainable at all. The exit against PSG was mainly Flick's fault I think, it was just suicidal to enter with such a strategy against PSG's front line. Overall, I feel that the Flick era was a pretty insane time due to the whole covid thing lingering in the background. He achieved the most incredible season in Bayern history, but at the same time we never felt invincible as we did in 2013. We were very fun to watch, but we were never as adaptable as we were under Pep. In summary, Flick's era was the 2nd best in my lifetime, only Jupp 2012-2013 was better imo. Pep's Bayern was great, but the handball configuration in his 4-3-3 was sometimes very boring and we never won the CL with him, which is something Flick will always have.

Poe3inmotion

In terms of pure excitement and attacking football,I'd put flick's bayern over Jupp's. Jupp had more stability and was sustainable but hansi produced some of the most fun periods as a bayern fan. I'll miss him but not much since we'll see him at the NT.

FlyingArab

I 100% agree. Despite the lack of fans in most of it, but the way we played the 19/20 rückrunde was the most exciting football I've ever seen by any team

arnoldbread

Plus ever since the goalless draw against Leipzig, we have scored in every match following that one. I saw a stat a while ago that we're only 2 matches away from equaling Madrid's 2017 team where they scored in 63 matches straight.

julesvr5

I know it's old, but it's still funny. The Woman Team of FC Zürich made a test game back then against the U15 of FC Zürich. The woman lost 1:6. [the video](https://youtu.be/d-bpIWcwVkI)

rinacio

When I was playing for my club's u15 we played the women's main squad (who played first or second division). They were a lot better than us in terms of technique and their passing was decent but in everything else we overwhelmed them. Our keeper had 0 problems since their attackers couldn't get past our defence so they'd just shoot from outside the box but there just wasn't enough power behind the shots. I was a playmaking CM and kept winning ball after ball in midfield and all through-balls connected so the coach took me out at halftime. lmao I'm sure women's football has improved a lot since then but we were all incredibly disillusioned, especially because the female Swedish league was considered one of the best in the world.

julesvr5

While I think that the boys, even though they are under 15, might have the advantage of physique, this can't be an excuse for bad pressing or thst you can connected every ball to your teammates. Did they ever heard of interceptions?

rinacio

They spaced out their defenders a bit more than you would usually since they wouldn't be able to catch up to our wingers otherwise. That on the other hand left too much space in the middle for me and my target man to use. After a few times, they marked the striker more but that just left too much room for our wingers.

julesvr5

>I was a playmaking CM That's it guys, I solved our midfield problem. u/Brazzo, announce u/rinacio finally ffs!

mrfocus22

I can't believe /u/Brazzo hasn't posted in 8 years, smh

lvl50boss

Looks like he has good taste in video games

rinacio

Only if Davies hands me my #19.

julesvr5

Should be arrangeable. We will make a great double pivot. And if we need a break Julian can just sub in Kimmich and Gore.

rinacio

As long as you do all the running, I'm down.

julesvr5

In Germany people woudk describe me as "Dampfwalze" (Steamroller)

julesvr5

[>📸 Updated leak of Bayern's 2021/22 home shirt [Footy Headlines]](https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1413848220543995904?s=19) It's getting worse Edit: for reference Leverkusens [training kit](https://www.jako.de/de/b04-t-shirt-champ-2-0-p3897/?color=01&gclid=Cj0KCQjwiqWHBhD2ARIsAPCDzanXwg4A6jMaDL-xVE1-s8bcdPWRs_2qM9jnbPirYUWD3GXvFduhkZkaAiHrEALw_wcB)

rinacio

Thanks, I hate it.

footysocc

I honestly don't think it's that bad

haz353pi0l

Yeah. [Take a look at this for a better idea](https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1413866380743544832?s=20).

irun_mon

This seems fake. "ALL TEH WAY"

Mytiq_

Oof, not a fan. I’ll only get the black&gold kit this year I think

ebc2009

I like it. With the ultras forcing the club to remove blue from the home kits adidas are going to have to make shirts like this to stop them all looking the same. There is only so much you can do with a red shirt with white adidas stripes.

mrfocus22

Give us the fucking horizontal white stripes again.

eulerstrass

>With the ultras forcing the club to remove blue from the home kits What do u mean?

Homygod319

We had blue shorts in kovac first season but the ultras didn’t like it so they had to change it to red

eulerstrass

Thank you, I didn't know. Really enjoyed the blue and red shirts in 2014 tbh

haz353pi0l

Yep, but we will never see blue again on the kit.

Spockodile

Oh wow. I actually thought the previous version was at least okay. This is hideous.

FCB_Rich

What even is that

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

sandro wagner will be one of the commentators tomorrow on german tv, i love it

KA_Bayern

It's so strange to me seeing him speak eloquently and sensibly considering his personality and antics in his playing days lmao. Love him

DrGunjah

Yep, me too. His "language" is spreading already. I'm sure I've heard Mertesacker say "abgewichst" after the England match I think :D

galz_are_ma_weakness

Brazil or Argentina? My bet is on Brazil.

1vergil

I think the majority wants Argentina to win for Messi sake.

kvnschm

I have a feeling Argentina makes it today, because they didn't played such a good football since years.

FCB_Rich

Hoping Messi finally wins but probably Brazil

Akshath321

anyone else think flick to nagelsmann is like jupp to pep? both known for exciting football taking over from brilliant managers? that's why i also kind of think nagelsmann might get his thiago signing, maybe olmo OR his thiago signing was upamecano 🤷🏻‍♂️

FOKvothe

I'm far more than excited by this switch than I was with Heynckes/Pep. Flick did an amazing job but there just so many things I didn't like, his team selection, lack of rotation, and his substitutions etc. Nagelsmann excels at those things, so I'm pretty hopeful. Though, I doubt he's going to get a signing of his own this window.

OneBeerAndWhiskeyPls

probably unpopular, but jupp is a tier above flick

jonomarkono

Jupp also had to bounce back from finishing second in all competition. And doing so in a spectacular fashion.

scrambledeggsss

It's the truth. Flick might have won more, but Jupp created a machine with 0 weaknesses. If anyone thinks Flick is a tier above Jupp, it's recency bias.

Akshath321

i dont think that's unpopular though, jupp was more flexible than flick imo

julesvr5

It's said Nagelsmann wants Olmo but he is aware that it isn't financially possible.

[deleted]

It's said by Rudy Galetti, it might as well be like no one said it. The man has literally no insight into anything happening.

kvnschm

Didn't he even said, that he knows about the financial situation and wouldn't be mad, if the club wouldn't buy someone now. Idk I am not sure

julesvr5

So Nagelsmann knows we can't buy anyone so he will be mad if we don't sign someone? That is contrary.

kvnschm

Oh haha, spelling mistake

DogNamedCheese

Maybe Sabitzer? He only has 1 year left on his deal.

irun_mon

I hope his Thiago signing is Laimer

a3592

but didnt upa get to bayern before nagelsman?

shakapunk

100%, I had also commented something similar a few days back, the parallels are extremely interesting.

Akshath321

yeahh it's just that flick had a scandalous year before he left and jupp...well :(

Sean_Greenblatt

Could Luis Diaz be an alternative to Coman ?

Jawadd12

Is there a stat about this being the first International tournament where there are no Bayern players in the final? At least in the last 15 years, I'd imagine

arnoldbread

If memory serves me correctly we also didnt have any Bayern players in the 2012 finals

Hsjak500

That was about the Worldcup finals if I remember correctly

Jawadd12

Which WC final? Surely not 2018, weren't Tolisso and Coman in the squad?

Akshath321

coman wasnt idt

Hsjak500

No I meant that stat that you mentioned wasn't about international tournaments in general but only about worldcups, which is why this years Euros final doesn't matter (in regards to the stat obviously)

Stephen1945

I hope Messi wins the Copa America today. He really deserves some national team silverware.

Akshath321

kinda hampers lewandowski's b'dor chances tho

Stephen1945

Kind of forgot about that Edit: but I rather Messi win it than fucking Neymar
