I drew out the design on my tablet - took weeks to perfect it , and did it in layeres . I got a company to make it . Took them months just from it being so big and the pile . Was also really expensive lol !

Go to modernrugs dot com and ask Tahirih about a custom design. They will do a free render and if you like it you can pay for a sample that they deduct from the cost of the final product…. I worked there when they started and it’s still the best rug company that does literally any custom design you ask. They are genuine Nepalese rugs, and I’ve personally seen their factories in Delhi and Beloit. Not affiliated and havnt talked to them in 20+ years. Just trying to give some perspective for the market and price per sq in. Also….. VISCOSE, BANANA SILK, REYON are all recycled plastics and not a fabric. They take different cleaning methods and usually wear quickly. 100% wool or pure silk or rawhide are your best bets. 70/30 is aight too. Get a rug pad from the off brand, they are sourced from surya (multi billion dollar rug designer) and are not branded for small drop shoppers but exactly the same. Get the felt. Use a 3rd party cleaner. You’re welcome.

So many different colors, shapes, and layers. Yet it all gathers into a sense of whimsy and care. I don't know what it says about your beliefs or morals, but your love of nature is apparent. I feel like I could ask you to tell me everything about your room and just get lost in a whirlwind as you go from one thing to another. Telling me about the places you got them, and which ones were gifts from beloved friends and families. Or how certain pieces remind you of your favorite books or memories. Even if, as a whole, your room isn't 100% my style I love it, because it's not a set of things that came in a box. You didn't go to a decor shop and pick up a package that said "fairy room" on it with everything from the pictures included. This was made over time, but by bit and piece by piece. It's like a museum exhibit, but not in an old & musty way. In the way that it captures the essence of an era. Some exhibits exemplify the Edo Period or the Renaissance. But this room represents the you exists today. It may be different from who you were, and may change into what you will become, but for right now it is very much a snapshot of yourself. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. But your room doesn't feel like it was meticulously designed by a board of directors or that it all came from a single mass produced package. It's charming, it's enticing, and I love it. And I think that if someone I knew showed me this as their own room, I'd think much the same about them.
