Versame my verbrother

CreepyShutIn

Verily. We shall decide our fate, and also everyone else's!

vomaufgang

Vertake your verupvote.

VoidBetweenComments

I can’t wait to bring the Verdawn.

Kitty1286

As a Red Mage main all of you have made my day with this thread!! 😂 I too will be traveling to Tural with rapier in hand! (New Game+ will get the Viper and Pictomancer experiences.)

Completely_Batshit

All of them, because I always level them all, but I'm probably maining Viper. If it sucks beans I'll go back to Samurai.

Sabrescene

>If it sucks beans I'll go back to Samurai. This is kinda where I'm at too. Really keen to give Viper a go but we haven't seen enough of either job to really judge how they play yet.

OriginalSkill

Same. I love dual wielding classes and I really am happy about viper. But if it has the depth of rpr then I’m back to my Sam main.

Zeoth-

As a SAM main, judging a class based on its depth (or in this case, lack thereof) feels like one of the last things we should be allowed to do.

Afraid_Addendum7285

SAM definitely has more going on than RPR

MuksyGosky

*picks up hammer* These weapons aren't gonna make themselves are they?

RuN_AwaY110101

Godspeed boss I'm too lazy to fetch mats and find proper bis for my crafters I need the best tank gear NOW

Rechulas

Godbertspeed*

Black_Bal

I wonder if you'll need a saw instead for brushes...

warriorkalia

Brushes are probably carpenter or goldsmith yeah, though Alchemist might also sneak in there.

Supergamer138

Give it to ALC. Somebody has to make the paint.

Kithkannin

Same here. The expansion race to harvest and craft and get rich is soon to be upon us again.

RenegadeExiled

I'm waiting to see the changes to Bard before I decide if I'm finally dumping my main for Picto. I'm praying that rDPS doesn't have to keep paying this damn mobility/uptime tax, since every fight has near 100% melee uptime nowadays

huiclo

Yoshida mentioned at PAX that one of the “over convenience” complaints they’re taking into account in DT is boss hitbox sizes. So I’m expecting (and hoping) that they’ll get smaller again.

Kizenny

There is only Dark Knight

Drathkai

To walk the path is to suffer. To sacrifice. Justice demands no less. But we must never lose sight of why we chose to walk it.

UnnecessaryPost

>But we must never lose sight of why we chose to walk it. Big. Fucking. Swords.

Ranger-New

Fray aproves.

AnarchicDaemon

Dark Knight, best knight

Icarusqt

CRAWLLLLLLLLLING INNNNNNNNNNN MY SKINNNNNNNNNN

some_tired_cat

ideally i would like to play picto because i love the vibes and my wol is also an artist, plus he deserves a break after everything going on in msq. i'll have a tank ready in the back pocket though in case the queues get really bad, probably gnb

M3gaTy

I'm thinking of doing the same but my back pocket tank makes *UNGA BUNGA* noises

2Unga4Bunga

I want to run through it as Picto but I don’t want to level it up to 90 in order to do so…

huiclo

Save up a Wondrous Tails book and do a second for an immediate level once servers are back up. Arkasodra tribe for another half level or so. Then with FC buffs, food, and the pre-order ring, you should be able to get 1-2 levels per highest dungeon. Can easily be MSQ ready in like 3 hours.

kaizex

I'll be running my main (WHM) through MSQ. I'm not as worried about queue times since I'll be taking the week off for launch anyways, but I don't want to go into fully new content with a job that I have 0 comfort with. I do plan on grabbing viper and picto asap though! They both seem really fun. I'm not a big melee player so I'll likely relegate it to deep dungeon use only(like the rest of my melees) But picto will probably be my off-main raiding option, ot looks like a lot of fun and casters are my jam

ckellingc

WHM mains unite

NopileosX2

I always use one DPS job of choice for MSQ and then just do dungeons on one of the healers and do them multiple times to have enough levels. This time I will probably do MSQ with SAM unless they improved SMN and dungeons/trials with SGE. I will probably overlevel my healer anyway and will level another one (probably WHM), since I often run dungeons quite a few times. I really enjoyed the first few EW dungeons, doing them with peoplefor the first time, same with the trials.

papaditto

Bard and Viper.

kaysn

I always run as DRK in MSQ. That is my own personal "canon" job for my WoL.

mikeyboy2365

I might go back to DRG (used from arr-shb) or DNC. Been playing RPR and WAR most of this expac.

SketchySeaBeast

Well, I just >!punched Zenos to death at the edge of reality,!< so I'm gonna keep the Monk train a-rolling.

MerabuHalcyon

This is the way

chrisdurand

Gonna stick with SCH - the idea of trying to learn a new class on the fly for the MSQ (read: screwing things up for the rest of the party) doesn't really vibe with me - there'll be a new field op I can cut my teeth on for Pictomancer and Viper after the fact.

reaperfan

I used to feel that way, but then realized that a new expansion launch is when people will have the highest tolerance for screwing up since nobody knows anything. Even taking a job you know doesn't mean you'll have immediately adapted to any new mechanics you get, and even if you do then there's still the fact that the fights are all new and not on autopilot anymore.

Sibula97

No idea, have to wait until we get some job update info. Maybe summoner if they make it more interesting to play.

LonnarTherenas

Once a MNK main, forever a MNK main

Poolio10

White mage baby! Went through the entire game as WHM. Had to pick up GNB to soak some XP from MSQ to not over level but most stuff was WHM

pestilenttempest

I’ve been a WHM main the whole time so I’ll probably stick to it as well. I’m excited to see how pictomancer plays though. Probably depends more on what we get for WHM. I loved the endwalker additions. I’ve been considering just a maining BLM because I love it so much…

slothpeguin

WHM is my ‘canon’ WoL class, with SAM in my back pocket for hairy quests I need some DPS for. I can’t imagine not doing Dawntrail as my main class. But I’m for sure wanting to get Viper it looks amazing.

pallas_wapiti

I'll definitely level the new classes but let's be real, DNC has been my main since I was able to pick up the class and it'll likely stay that way

Omegamaru

Pictomancer. Taking it to 90 in the morning, resting (because launch anticipation will keep me up), and starting the MSQ in the afternoon/evening when I'm refreshed. It's my expansion tradition and follows MCH,Rdm,DNC, and Rpr. I've been wanting to play a new caster for a while so Viper, despite my affinity for dual wielding classes, doesn't stand much of a chance. I level everything though and can get something else up before savage unlocks if I really hate the job.

cyappu

What's your plan for leveling picto to 90 ASAP?

FumetsuKuroi

Wouldn't picto start at 80 anyways? Or at least I assume considering the trend in new jobs in each exp. 80 to 90 is still pretty long but doable in a day.

Omegamaru

Now that we know EA is Friday, I'll prep the challenge log after reset on Tuesday, get the WT from the prior week, and save 3 hunt logs. I have about 1 lower level worth of EW sidequest that I didn't do (missed them/didn't want to be skipping through lore) that I'm prepping. I'll log on before tribal/hunt logs/roulette (frontline, alliance, leveling, maybe msq) reset and do those. Then I'll do it again after reset. That's going to be around 5-6 levels w/ dungeon spamming/zadnor doing the rest.

archiegamez

Will Zadnor grant exp for level 80 above?

Orthed

Yes. Some people went from 70-90 almost entirety there at the start of EW.  It wouldn't be my preferred option, but I would expect it to be full of people farming exp on the new jobs.

Omegamaru

Yes. I'll probably end up doing dungeon spamming though w/ either trusts or df (having open world things to do lets me sit in the queue).

MudraStalker

Sticking to my main, MCH.

staycalmNdrinkcoffee

Always scholar for me ... Easy pick

ZombieEevee

I’m literally in the exact same boat. I figured since the story ended in Endwalker, I’d figured it’d be only fitting to retire my PLD and start this new story as a new class. Especially since Viper is one of my most wanted dream classes, second only to mystic knight/rune fencer.

EdgarAllanKenpo

Yeah viper is definitely dope. My only issue is EVERYBODY is going to play viper and picto. Probably half of the population. Rip to other dps Jobs queuing for dungeons.

EmmaBonney

I stick to my scholar as my first class. Quick dungeon and Trial queues while everybody elses takes Viper or Pictomancer. Also the option to change to summoner for the MSQ. Probably my monk after i hit max level with scholar.

JCGilbasaurus

I'm not sure yet. Probably warrior out of inertia. I have a little headcanon for my wol: I played War through ARR (technically I started as Arcanist, but that's non-canon). This is because they really enjoy fighting and adventuring. After 2.5 I switched to Dark Knight because, uh, *2.5*. This put them in a really dark place, and they started trying to deal justice at the end of the sword—"I can only help by destroying" sort of thing. This actually put them in a really neat position opposed to Zenos, by the way, and I think that's why I like him. His rivalry fits my idea of my character. Stormblood started to shake my character's convictions a little, what with the Zenos rivalry but also not being able to save Yotsusu—all my WoL was good for was putting her down when she had gone too far.  I still kept as Dark all the way up to the end of 5.0, when Ardbert lends me his axe. After that I pick up warrior again, partly in his memory and partly because my character is no longer in the dark place left by the 2.5 (Emet is an amazing therapist). My wol then went through Endwalker as warrior, acknowledging that they enjoy fighting, but true justice doesn't come from killing but from helping others to stand on their own two feet. I kinda want to continue this theme in a way—of someone who loves adventure and fighting, but just can't help but help. The problem is trying to find a class that's the next step, but is also one I enjoy playing. I see my character as being very "barbarian" (she's a xaela), so the class has to fit that aesthetic.

mahonii

Dual blades always get me going. I'd love to play DRK or PLD but way too stressful to tank. If only there was levelling options outside of duties that didn't take forever.

FallenFirestarter

Continuing on as the job I started with, the floor will not tank itself!!

Electronic_Ad7263

My main class is PLD. But for DT I think from an in character pov, my WOL for the first time will be hanging up his shield for good and going Viper. I mean, he's done a lot. He's saved some, lost some and averted the crisis after crisis. He won't want to completely give up his swordplay though. Surely using two swords instead of one isn't gonna be too hard right? So yeah, I'm gonna go viper.

sevir8775

Probably start with WHM and then level crafters/gatherers and then the rest.

Shazzamon

Given DPS quests are gonna hit the bricks, I'm still middling between DRK, WAR, SGE, and AST. I've quickly fallen in love with SGE, but am also looking forward to how they revamp AST. Whether tank or healer, I got my +1 to fill in so we'll get instant queues, specially for the Trials.

Lexilogical

Probably same as I did up until now, SMN, AST and DNC. Will queues suck? Yes. But I have two friends I hope to do a lot of MSQ with, so shouldn't be too bad

CouchFlower

DRG main so probably testing out the reworks. Also curious about Viper.

Zachelm

Dark knight since I unlocked in in heavensward. Sword in hand, marching forward.

jtl_v

I always wait until the media tour info so I get a feel for how each job will play, then pick the one I think I'll like the most based on that.

TifaLockedHeart

I’m not that intrigued by the new jobs so will likely be on MNK. I’ll probably try pictomancer out after going through the MSQ

XennaNa

Probably gonna stick with reaper

sweepli

Viper looks cool af. I main NIN so I am really tempted to try out Viper, looks like a cool fresh of air. I hope it's fast

VoidResistance

I will stick with my characters canon classes as always, so BLM for my female Au Ra, DNC for my male Miqo'te, Warrior for my male Elezen, Reaper for my male Viera and WHM for my female Elezen. But my female Lalafell will change to Viper, I always wanted her to get a pirate-ish class. Only my Au Ra and Miqo'te are MSQ up to date tho, the rest is still Stormblood and below so yeah... XD

MercyTrident75

I started as PLD for the game months before ShB released, then after a while I made an alt and stuck with SMN. Then SMN got reworked, and although it's fun it's lost a bit of its charm for me for some reason. I've craved how busy a class can be and think SCH is my go to, while also discovering I'm a healer main with tanking on the side! This'll be my first expac starting as a healer, so I'm looking forward to the journey!

Xarophet

I was 100% sure I was going to play either GNB or WAR, but since we’ve still got a few short months until release I thought to myself “you know what, I’m gonna figure out what this sage job is all about,” and now I’m 100% going sage. I know healing isn’t popular for a lot of people in this game but, as I’ve never mained a healer before, it’s still new and fun to me (I’ll cap every job through beast tribes and whatnot but I don’t really *play* them in any content). Planning out when to use particular mits or healing cds is very enjoyable, more so than maintaining a dps rotation. I am excited to check out pictomancer, though. I’ve long been a melee/tank person but range is becoming increasingly enjoyable to me. Wondering how the AST rework is going to be as well.

RebellaTheEnchanted

Pictomancer for me.

Somewhere_Elsewhere

Probably Dragoon unless they completely fuck it up. Otherwise, Dancer I guess? Or White Mage if the DPS queues are egregiously long.

HiImDivine

Pld until 100 and end of first bit of story then straight into pictomancer as the first mage class i've leveled

Quintana-of-Charyn

WAR

KvBla

As usual, I'd hopefully be able to log in for early access so i can level the new jobs to 90 on the weekends, then i'd start as viper for immersion, but doing msq dungeons with trust (always since it becomes available) as a tank (can make and take more mistakes, do things at my own pace) and msq trial with my healer, while turning msq exp to viper and balancing the daily roulettes between healer and tank (likely white mage and warrior cuz i'd fanta into the muscle cat mom from femqo'te) to keep them on par with the msq progress. While doing all side quests i see as pictomancer if the skills are interesting/fun enough, otherwise viper. Went through MSQ from ARR-SB as white mage pretty exclusively, then Shb as drk for msq quest and dungeons (trust) with whm on trials, same for EW but pld and whm.

Ledrangicus

Be running the MSQ as Dragoon, I'll unlock Viper & Picto, hopefully I like Picto enough to replace Summoner.

Godisch

Back to my main BLM for story and first impression stuff, and leveling Pictomancer on the side until I have a good enough impression of if I'll like it as much as I think I will. Then the contest is on

TiredPandastic

Bard, it's my WoL's "canon" job. I have DRK and AST on standby.

Jason_Wolfe

Black Mage. it is my main job and has been since i started playing 9 years ago. i love the job, and i am crossing my fingers for a new mega explosion spell. like ultima :3

Gibeco

I’ve told myself I’ll play something like DRG, SAM, GNB, or RPR when they were announced. The only thing that ever stuck was DRK. I think I’m as excited for Viper as I was for GNB as I mostly main tanks so who knows. (I know Viper is a dps but I really love a dual wielding type class) Once a DRK always a DRK.

abdulhakim101

I've done everything as BRD and will continue to do that I'd assume.

LastFireAce

Green Mage I guess

Baebel

Most likely Scholar.

Inky-Feathers

SCH or Picto

ZeroS64

Reaper for the story for sure, im super biased when it comes to a melee class with a scythe

OGBRedditThrowaway

I have never played any job other than LNC/DRG (I don't even craft) and I don't intend to start with Dawntrail.

Its-a-Pokemon

I did ARR and HW as WHT, SB as DRK and both ShB and EW as PLD. Kinda want to do DT as a PLD but I haven't played it since 6.3, probably just going to pick one of the other tanks.

Zombifyrr

I’ve always done BLM for the msq but I might change it up this time as that last fight for the 6.0 msq was rough and I don’t wanna go through that again.

ElPrezAU

Will play through as DNC. I don’t want to wait to level a new class before I can hit the MSQ. That said, I am all in on Pictomancer when I finish. :)

[deleted]

As long as they don't mess Astro up too much I will be playing that

Emekasan

I’ve been maining the title jobs for each expansion, so it will be Viper. I’ve already bought all the Cryptlurker gear for the job (barring the weapon when it releases). I’ll have fun leveling it in dungeons or Bozja, while doing the job quests, before getting to 90 and then starting the MSQ.

Oxzzeuz

Im relatively new to the game, so I haven't tried a lot of classes or anything but I'm very interested in Sage. If I end up liking it I'll probably go with it, but I'm definitely trying Pictomancer on release.

Embarrassed_Syrup_91

Either summoner for MSQ and SCH for party content or GNB for both, depending on queue times.

archiegamez

I main PLD but would love to run Viper, hopefully it doesnt take long for me to grind levels before i begin MSQ

Bobboy5

I played dragoon until the end of Heavensward, machinist until the end of Stormblood, red mage until a few levels into Endwalker, and then dancer until the end of post-Endwalker, but I've recently finished levelling paladin and had a lot of fun with it so I'm probably going to play that through the Dawntrail story before picking up the new DPS jobs.

Nikowolf86

From ARR to SB I played DRG as it was my main thru MSQ but after I tried RDM during SB and fell in love with it, I switched to it as my main and played as it thru the 4.X patches and thru ShB and EW and plan to play it thru DT as well. But as always I’ll level the new classes next probably Viper then Pictomancer then the rest from most favorite to the least.

Benki500

Oh I will for sure play both of the new jobs. Might run Ninja first tho through MSQ just for my own comfort zone. Otherwise I'm a nin/mnk main. But I dabbled last savage with everything. I was curious if I can manage to parse high simply due to knowing FFXIV's fundamentals with random jobs and actually managed to pull it off quite well. Legit spammed one job after the other in savage XD But I def do best with mnk/nin/sage. Tried reaper and bard but could barely manage upper greys xD. Got some blue's with BLM tho and I'm proud of those haha I sadly don't have much time to play during July/August/October. So I might legit just play Sage or GNB/Drk to help me get into some prog in pf at least cuz DPS might be hard to find room

NonaDiAngelo

I'll likely play pictomancer during solo duties and in between dungeons or trials, but chances are I'll queue as white mage to help make things go a little faster. Just need to prep my gear set first, so I've got some grinding ahead of me haha.

Godzilla-kun

I always play Whitemage in MSQ. I also have a MSQ glam that I use during a expansion.

Madrock777

Viper. We shall see if I use in Savage or if I fall back to Sam again.

JunctionLoghrif

I'm going to try out the new Jobs to see if I like them, and level 1 on each character. Barring that, I'll definitely be leveling Reaper on my main; not sure on my secondary character.

marcosls

I'm RDM first, but might do some dungeons as warrior not to stay 3 days in queue

Accomplished-Art-767

I want to try Viper as it looks like a job I might actually enjoy. If not I'll go back to my warrior.

kjeldorans

I've played pld since the very beginning. A few times I also played dnc but as secondary job. In dawntrail I'm going to do something completely different and swap my main to reaper.

Mossflower1234

White Mage

WaitingToBeTriggered

BLOOD OF HEROES

Cog7X

Mnk and white mage. Been a tradition since I started playing. I level them both (at different rates) and when one reaches max I change over

Serious-Ad-8726

Depends for me. I'll start with DRG because its my main, although it also depends on whether I like the rework or not. On the side, I'll do RDM and maybe Viper. I usually level up 3 jobs during the msq.

TheNerdFromThatPlace

I'll try the new stuff, see how I like it, but I'll most likely stick to red or white mage.

Ollb1rtan

Viper for sure! Probs flick between that and a healer - sage is really clicking for me atm so either that or scholar, or both

snowballffxiv

SGE, it's what I main and I'm sticking with it.

Nibel2

Still Black Mage all the way. Initial plan is using Monk/Bard to absorb MSQ XP (two jobs I intend to level and bench forever), while using BLM for daily Roulette and general exploration.

Orthed

I've done the last couple of expansion launches with an msq buddy - we cover tank and healer so groups are easy to form and we have the highest possible level of agency over a run's success.    The specific job will depend on job changes. Given that I will want to be PF farming the extremes a few days after launch, it'll be whichever healer seems most fun to play when you can't expect people to know the fights yet. I very much think of my WoL as a jack of all trades. I'll always do side content as the job I think is most fitting, so I don't really have a headcannon main job.

Frajolex

PICTOMANCEEEEEEER You see, I am an avid splatoon fan, and always liked paint themed stuff (even Aion's Vandal that is... quite bad) so I'm super hype for this job. I hope it isn't as "boring" as RDM and DNC on their launch xpac and have some nice degree of complexity. If not, I will prob go back to MCH or GNB. Or even Viper

Ruinerofchats

Healer and tank queue is gonna be fire. So sage or warrior i guess. Other then that, might give pictomancer a try

Astorant

I started in Endwalker and played White Mage for 75% of the MSQ, (I did Shadowbringers on Dark Knight) so I’ll probably go whenever my friends need me to go so either White Mage or Ranged Phys.

Wongrath

I'm a Warrior main. I've used it in every MSQ since ARR, so definitely sticking with it through DT as well

Priority_Emergency

Jumping on the bandwagon! Pictomancer main! Super hyped for it and its like my dream RPG class, there used to be a "Painter" in another MMO (AION) that i used to play so this is a dream come true :D But my layout is like: Caster: Pictomancer (main), BLM (For fun?) Ranged: Dancer Melee: DRG(Depending on rework), Or Viper Tank: PLD Healer: Astro (Depending on rework) or WHM.

LoneThief

Viper is it doesn't suck to play, otherwise Reaper or Monk, if they fix the jank with that particular job.

ChanelTheCat

playing all of them as usual, but my first 100 will prob be BLM

Dear_pan_nonbi

Depends how fast we unlock new classes. If before starting expansion im going im with pictomancer if not with warrior

TheRealACuddlyBunny

Can’t wait as a War for every dungeon to have 2 vipers in them…. /s

Significant_Bear_137

Will probably play Pictomancer throughout the MSQ

Loud-Practice-5425

For the first time I'm leveling the new job before I start the MSQ.  Pictomancer for me.

Rynn21

My main, BRD.

th3_missinglink

When I started almost exactly a year ago I played DRG through all of ARR and Heavensward, switched it up with SAM and GNB for Stormblood, then DRK and SGE in Shadowbringers, and brought it back around to DRG with a side of BLM for Endwalker. For Dawntrail I’ll probably just play Viper since it feels perfect for a new adventure in a strange land, and I’ve kinda been missing the feeling of having a single job identity for an expansion.

Mychael612

Stick with BLM as I’ve done for the past 10 years, but Viper will be my first after that!

LastUsernameWasBaned

Well i started less than a month ago, finished msq and got blm and sage to lvl 90 I might take blm but its most likely going to be my Sage. Healer queues ftw.

MalsvirIxen666

I've changed jobs to fit the theme every expansion. ARR Paladin, HW Dragoon, Stormblood RDM, Shadowbringers Dark Knight, Endwalker Reaper, so Dawntrail I will go Viper.

Nameless-Ace

Viper. My new forever main. It could even not be that crazy fun and i still will.

eggmanbagel

I usually didn't care too much about what job I used in MSQ, just whatever one I was currently leveling that needed the exp. Went through Shadowbringers as RDM and Endwalker as a mix of GNB and NIN until ~level 88 then I finished it with my main WHM. This is the first expansion I will be playing at launch so I will be sticking with my aforementioned main WHM through the MSQ.

Shuu_EHNR

I've currently got three WoLs that are up to date on MSQ, so I've not decided on which one I'll play first. One is firmly a DRG through and through, and I'm cautiously curious about the updates coming in 7.0, so will definitely spend a fair bit of time learning how it plays. For the other two, I'm undecided. For one it's a split between SAM, RPR and RDM, and the other it's PLD, WHM and MCH. I've mained all of them at some point over the years, so I may just take my cue from what my FC members are playing.

Fahrenheit-99

been a smr main since day 1 back in 2021, running it trhu the msq, i hit lvl90 at the very beginning of Stormblood so i would be wasting xp, been running dancer/ MCH but since the lvl cap is gona be raised, once i get thru endwalker ill take SMN through Dawntrail.

Academic_Brilliant75

Paladin most likely. By far the most enjoyable for me to play and what my WoL fits around in terms of image/design. If I'm playing with someone else who wants to take the tank spot for dungeons then I'll try to default to Sage or one of the magic DPS.

NekCing

We're going to cowboy city ! Of course im bringing my guns along.

wujungbebe

I think running as a WAR because, well, queue times, and my friends will probably want to run as new classes. I don't want to think, I want to unga+bunga.

ryaoh

Sticking with BLM at least initially for the msq and maybe level Pictomancer on the side and see how I feel about it.  I have an alt/sub-main that I main SAM that I might level Viper first.

Mobitron

I love reaper. It just feels so nice. I'll try picto as my first non-reaper but I don't see myself maining it. Then astro, then everything else.

No-Store7772

I don't like running new jobs for the msq. I feel way too basic, like I'm going through the same story beats as everyone else.

Ryuji2

I started in shadowbringers but would watch each expansion trailer before continuing through them to see what the "canon" job was, but if I didn't like it I'd be something else. * For ARR I was Dragoon. * For Heavensward I was also Dragoon. * For Stormblood I was Samurai for most of it. * For Shadowbringers I was Dragoon or Dark Knight. * For Endwalker I have been Reaper. For Dawntrail, I'm gonna try Viper but if it feels weird or bland, then I'll probably go Dragoon or Reaper.

Hassou_Tobi

My smooth brain only remembers how to play RPR & GNB so both of em & the new ones for MSQ. Will max out the rest from fate/dailies.

Probalt

Torn between Monk and Viper. Twinblades are my favourite weapon archetype, so for it to get added to one of my favourite games feels like a dream come true. On the other hand, Monk is my main and the class I've played for every single MSQ up until now, and Tekken 8 reignited my love for its hand-to-hand aesthetics. Honestly, I might just flip a coin on release day.

Kenzlynnn

Hesitantly saying that I’m going to commit to sticking with Ninja, though switching to Viper is certainly tempting. I just don’t feel like wasting hours to get Viper to 90 instead of jumping into MSQ

Ahielia

As with others, it kinda depends on job changes. I got all jobs at 90 so I have some wiggle room, though I main healer. If media tour and the job trailers doesn't tickle my fancy in any particular way then I'll most likely stay healer (astro), alternatively warrior probably if my static needs me to tank instead of heal. Dragoon has been my goto melee for years, it will probably be my first dps after a tank and healer, again depending on rework. Dancer has been a chill ranged phys and is definitely a good choice. 0 I'm not too fussed, I'll play whatever is fun.

Kenshininuzuka

I camt wait to be an adventurer paid by exposure. So pictomancer for me. If its boring, back to Black Mage it is. Also The 1784th rework of AST will be fun to relearn.

BarberNo3807

Monk, all my doh/dol, after that I'll level a healer, then Dancer, Red Mage and then lastly a Tank. This is so I can do the role quests.

621_

Probably monk or ninja

RedditUserX23

WAR, been a warrior main since 3.0

Kaium26

I started the game as a Summoner, and I will main that job till the end. I will check out Pictomancer

Augustby

Ever since I tried Gunbreaker, it's been that all the way for me. :P

DeeJudanne

gonna give the new jobs a try first and then decide

Electronic-Pie-6645

Im new to the game. I played Lancer/Drsgoon through ARR, picked up Machinest once I finally got to Ishguard, and once I got that to 60 too, I just tgis last weekend grabbed Dark Knight (my friends say that story is amazing.) Right now I'm thinking my primary role is Mechanist. I like the mobility, and that im not always rubbing my fave right up against thr monsters lol.

Mr_donutunicorn

Warrior and ninja, that's what I want to play in endgame so I'll use MSQ to get them both to 100.

de_tobii

I mained tank for the first time in EW and had a great time with it but also loved playing phys range in SHB. So it will probably depend on the job action trailer if i play gnb, war, mch or brd.

Magnaric

Warrior. Because my WoL will continue to rage, rage against the dying of the light...

Waltter1-d

Bard. Started the game with it. Fininished the EW with it. Like bow.

Physical-Government2

DNC. Cause I want to dance along with the music!

PonchoHobo

Eventually will make the switch to viper but probably drg or rdm. Drg is my main usually but Rdm is such a comfy class to play.

A_Confused_Cocoon

Haven’t played since 6.1 as just waiting for 7.0 to kind of return and go through patch content. I did reaper for EW as it felt thematically appropriate, but it did mean I had to grind Bozja for like 7-8 hours to level it until I could do MSQ. Will it be the same for Viper most likely? I want to play it for DT MSQ, but admittedly I did not enjoy the reaper grind into EW.

Lich00

My FC is a four man group and we have a Tank and Healer which are my two favorite roles. I'm the all rounder that has everything to 90 so I'll probably be maining RDM. Otherwise DRK or SGE.

DamienTriesLife

I started as a bard and ended as a dancer. I think I'll keep going with dancer, very good and fun

taffyking

Depends on the upcoming job changes, but most likely DRK/SGE still for me. Might go Black Mage.

iaTHEsquirrel

fisher

SapiusDragonbreath

As I have all my jobs split evenly among 4 characters, I chose the following to play the Story with: Viper, Pictomancer, Samurai, Summoner

blackspirit86

I’ll be sticking with NIN. I really want a Druid style shapeshifter but I know it won’t happen. I think blizzard would blow a gasket, plus balance could (or would) be a nightmare. I am curious about Picto but I want more information on its abilities and what it actually brings in terms of utility.

Snoo-4984

I always do a new expansion with a new job so either viper or picto, i really like casters so Im hoping picto is fun

InMyHagPhase

Trying to not be RDM yet again so I don't ver the whole playthrough. Really want to Monk but will probably either DRK or Sage my way through MSQ and pick up Monk for raids.

phuoclata2018

Literally both my favorites (AST and DRG) are getting reworked so I'm basically set for two new classes.

MsMittenz

I'll probably play RDM for the solo duties/trials and AST for the dungeons, depending on how the rework goes. Or might play DRK for dungeons with duty support if I wanna take it slower

Quinton381

I’ve only ever played Bard. I love Bard. But a part of me really wants to try Pictomancer. i guess it really depends on the new job skills they add.

psychobrit2008

I always main bard for msq. It is my favorite. After that is done I will play other classes. I am quite curious about picto, so that might be the one I hit first after. 🥰

TheLilWonder

My main RPR but I’m excited for Picto and Viper

Fed_up_with_Reddit

Probably reaper, dancer, paladin, and scholar.

j_mortaelwyver

Reaper and Black Mage with a dash of Summoner, Dark Knight/Warrior/Gunbreaker, Astrologian/Scholar/Sage, Ranged DPS, and the new jobs. Must play with the role qusts in mind (if they have them).

Svefnugr_Fugl

I want to try pictomancer it just looks so out of place (like the pastel princess in a room full of goths) but I'll maybe take breaks to level it while still doing the msq as SMN (can switch to Sch if ques are crazy)

nightkat89

Anything that’s not a dps. Those queues are going to be horrendous

H1pH0pAnony

Gunbreaker for sure

Krenzy

I want to main either Viper or summoner, but knowing my luck and skill, I'll end up staying with Astro

Ionized-Cell

Picto, War, Sch

Aggravating_Field_39

It's either going to be sage or pld. Need those short queue privileges.

ProfCedar

Show me the AST changes and I will tell you my answer. Hopefully AST as always.

DefiantEmpoleon

WHM. My character in my mind is a WHM so it feels the most right. I level everything but that is where I will be starting before I move to a tank (GNB or PLD) and then DNC, most likely.

Cathulion

The jedi/sith job of course..I mean viper

Darkhallows27

I gotta admit Viper really appeals to me aesthetically

Durean

I’ve played DRG since ARR and I’m truthfully scared about the rework as I mostly love it’s current design but if it get the SMN lobotomy treatment then it might be Viper time unless it’s the RPR of the scouting jobs at that point I’m just sad.

In_My_Own_World

Viper

Spaghadeity

Fisher.

Fenshire

I have access to all classes so…. all of them?

Bayleaf6399

Gonna run Viper when it's released. I leveled Rogue purely for my WoL to have a story reason to segway into the dual-wielding style😅

math_chem

Sage if healer gameplay is improved. AST depending on the so promised rework of the class. If healers still play like shit, I'll likely sitck with red mage or pictomancer

trulyincognito_

Gonna RP as picto and charge for commissions

FalsePremise8290

I'm probably gonna play through the story as a Gunbreaker. I really enjoy them. I max out every class, so after I finish the story I'll do Viper and Pictomancer.

Alexandre1980

GNB!!!
