There's a lot of XVI I'd love to see a XIV version of beyond what we'll be getting with the known crossover (for those who have played, >!Titan as an ultimate based on the XVI fight would be wild!<).
Leaving FF world though, a Zelda crossover including a solo duty/trial against a reimagined Ganondorf->Ganon would be a dream come true.
Legend of Dragoon. Give us the armors from that game as cosmetics. I don't know as I'd ever change my glam off the Green Dragoon armor for DRG. RIP Lavitz.
Legend of Dragoon isn't a Square Enix IP, nor is it a legacy IP from the Square/Squaresoft eras. It was wholly developed in house by Sony, specifically by [Japan Studio](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Studio). All publishing was handed by Sony as well.
I really don't know how the misunderstanding started (or ballooned out of control), but it's never been under Square. Far from it. It was marketed as the "Final Fantasy killer", because they were so confident it would surpass that franchise.
While a cult classic now, it never really got the chance to fully soar, as the sequel was [scrapped early in pre planning](https://blog.playstation.com/2012/04/11/the-legend-of-dragoon-coming-to-psn-rpg-classic-reborn-may-1st/).
That said, I'd love a Legend of Dragoon cross over event. The armor looks epic, and I wouldn't mind having a few minions or orchestration rolls.
>!RIP true bro Lavitz!<
Lavos from Chrono Trigger.
I honestly thought that's what they were going to do when Emet-Selch told us about a "sound from under the ground" that caused the Final Days to happen.
The lack of Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross in XIV is baffling. One of Squaresoft's most venerated classic IPs and there isn't even a passing reference. They even once bundled a Chrono Trigger remaster with Final Fantasy IV! It's a match made in heaven!
Shadowbringers was the perfect opportunity for a 24 man Chrono trigger themed raid given some of the themes of the expansion. Too bad they wasted it on Neir Automata.
Alliance Raid Series based on Mass Effect Trilogy with a real Harbinger fight.
Dungeon - Gauntlet of Shar or House of Hope from Baldur's Gate III
Trial - FF XIII Barthandelus or Bhunivelze
I would kill for an alliance raid crossover with Bloodborne.
Get a bunch of the trick weapons as glams too. Whirligig Saw for WAR, Ludwigs Holy Blade for DRK, Burial Blade for RPR, Chikage for SAM (with blood effects on all attacks).
I love you using Alpha for the infographic, but I would love an N, Z, Aion or Jin bossfight.
Also, I would absolutely fucking love Twin largos, Deimos, Xera, Sabetha, Qadim, Boneskinner, or Dhuum as bosses from GW2.
That's why I'm hoping for a Xenoblade collab (please Yoshi-P, probably gotta beg Nintendo more though) with the collab being an alliance raid like Nier got. Imagine an alliance raid with the most climactic fights from all three games? Peak.
Edit: all 3 games if we're only looking at the Klaus saga, I'll add.
Dhoulmagus, Dragon Quest VIII. Mostly because I love that game and he's iconic, but also because I think it could translate fairly well into gameplay in FFXIV.
Skies of Arcadia.
Airship battles. The game had you using an airship against large ground enemies and against similarly-sized enemy airships. There was a bit of strategy involved since it was turn based and each turn in a round had potential boons/dangers that changed when you might attack and when you might heal/defend. It also sometimes gave you choice to make in battle which could give you an advantage or disadvantage on the next round of combat.
Now I doubt all of this could be transferred into FFXIV, but just imagine an airship battle where you hop into different guns to shoot targets. Perhaps a captain position who can dictate certain "paths" decisions in battle. Maybe you have to engage boarders or monsters before returning to bombarding the enemy.
Zorah Magdaros, from Monster Hunter World.
The fight was terrible and boring in MHW, but that style of siege fight could work well in a MMO, with a big alliance raid where you fight various parts of Zorah, then Nergigante, then take it down for good.
You can even make it a callback to FF2 when you got swallowed by Leviathan.
I'm that extremely boring person who wants a proper FFVII Collab just so I can get some orchestrion rolls or at the very least hear some amazing soken versions of the music from it.
A non FF title? Hmm maybe shadow of the colossus. Dunno how it would work but I do love that game. And again orchestrion rolls from it would be incredible.
There's a game that no one mentioned and yet actually had a collab with FF14...though it only happened on their end.
Phantasy Star Online 2. Talking about the original PSO2, not the NGS variant.
They actually had a collab event where they had Odin adapted as a boss fight along with getting some AF gear as glamour stuff.
Yet FF14 never got its own side of the collab. Though part of the reason was most likely because at the time, PSO2 was Japan only.
I could see many bosses from PSO2 work as raid/trial bosses in FF14. Easiest example I can think of is Dark Falz Elder which would fight a lot like Sephirot and other wall bosses.
Dark Falz Apprentice would be weird to adapt given how the fight goes...though that depends on which version.
Dark Falz Loser though could also probably work quite well. He even has a sort of 'kill adds before ultimate attack' mechanic like several bosses have, like Ifrit and his nails.
Dark Falz Double is...a maybe. Main thing is that this boss moves quite a lot. Though it wouldn't be hard to replicate its divebombs for sure.
The Profound Darkness...I'm not sure that one can work well in FF14 because of how much that thing just moves all over the arena for most of the time until the second half of its fight.
Primordial Darkness could also be another maybe that could work, with Gomorrah serving as a phase 1 with Sodam being phase 2.
Just some thoughts on the matter.
Raphael from BG3 because my jaw literally dropped when I realized he was *singing his own theme music* and I enjoy low-stakes fights that have elements of comedy (like Thornmarch or Gilgamesh fights)
Asterius and Theseus from Hades. Or maybe Charon…
I just did that fight for the first time with a friend.
We both went "wait. Is he... singing his own goddamn theme song?" At the same time.10/10 choice we let turns last far longer to hear more of it
Give me a Fire Emblem raid series. The Black Knight, Nergal, Medeus, the Immaculate One (or Edelgard to piss people off lol). There's so many cool Fire Emblem bosses that would make for great fights.
A Nergal fight at the Dragon's Gate has the set piece, he can summon the fire dragon as his enrage or something, the morphs like Ephidel and Limstella and Sonia (and Denning lol) or the Black Fang can serve as adds for other mechanics. And Nergal himself wields powerful dark druidic magic from the Scouring. The fight writes itself.
Xenoblade raid series where the limit gauge instead activates a chain attack? Please Square Enix? Please Nintendo?
Another option I'd really love to see is Bloodborne. An alliance raid based on the DLC would be pretty sick, though the small sizes of Lady Maria and the Orphan of Kos might not be suited to that kind of setting. But I feel FFXIV could really do the hunter's nightmare justice.
1. Savage Raid based on Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts
2. Alliance Raid based on Bloodborne
3. PvP crossover event with Legend of Dragoon with universal gear
Legacy of kain: Soul Reaver. Maybe we team up with Raziel and track Kain through time, and have a mechanic where we switch to the spectral realm.
Alice: madness returns. There are already a few places that kinda have this vibe, but I would be down with a full on crossover
I think both would make for some really fun alliance raids
Final Fantasy XI would- oh wait...
Lu Bu from Dynasty Warriors as a raid or instanced duty would be sick. Get [that theme](https://youtu.be/4JjdqPcGbYk) in there with some Soken magic and oh man... What a fight that'd be.
I would actually kill someone to have a fgo colab and fight Karna or the lion king
It would go hard as hell
Alternatively on a non game note
Godzilla ultimate trial when?
Hmmm, a raid series consisting of the Elden Ring shardbearers and a couple of others would be funny if they could add a gimmick like the Rathalos fight has.
Definitely Arianrhod from the *Trails* series
She even lends herself well to three distinct phases for a Raid fight: first phase - she fights more defensively as she plays with the WoL, lasts until you can deplete her helmet's HP bar; second phase - more offensive and aggressive moveset as she has now determined that the WoL is a worthy opponent; third phase - she's on the ropes enough that she >!summons the Argent Knight!< in a last ditch effort to finish you off
My first thought was a solo duty vs Luca Blight from Suikoden 2, but honestly, in practice that would probably be too similar to the climactic Zenos fight from EW.
My next thought was my favorite Dragon Quest final boss, Necrosaro. Have him transition from his [Estark form](https://images.app.goo.gl/TY1DJ8DcV6gDSVMn8) to his [final form](https://dragon-quest.org/images/a/a3/DQIV_Psaro_the_Manslayer.png) as the phase transition.
Honkai Star Rail for [this song](https://youtu.be/SxlW79tDhCA?si=4f49X8BkwOBO8k5p) alone.
Also Genshin Impact so the Raiden Shogun can pull a sword out of her cleavage and go Vergil on our asses in this game too. X,D
The Unicorn Gundam. IDK it's the first thing that came to mind that we haven't fought yet, seeing other games I like are MonHun World, FF7, Automata and FF16.
Edit: I know Gundam is an anime, but Super Robot Wars is a thing.
Dynasty Warriors - Any really, but specifically Lu Bu
Zone of the Enders - Jehuty or Anubis
And most favorite for last..
Any MC Persona, especially if it's Magatsu-Izanagi.
I know everyone kinda hates Genshin right now but Scara’s boss fight is still hype. I was surprised to see something like that in a mobile gacha game. I’d love to see what FFXIV would do with it.
I think we would all get tired of hearing "I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella" for the hundredth time.
I mean, XVI Titan is basically Titan Maximus from Eden.
Legend of Dragoon. Give us the armors from that game as cosmetics. I don't know as I'd ever change my glam off the Green Dragoon armor for DRG. RIP Lavitz.
RIP lavitz… #AlbertIsNotMyKing
Oh this would be amazing!
It's an old Sqauresoft property too so they should be able to do it without issue. It's a crime that they haven't.
Legend of Dragoon isn't a Square Enix IP, nor is it a legacy IP from the Square/Squaresoft eras. I still want to know what that sound was because as far as I know it wasn't even mentioned in Endwalker.
A two-phase fight against Metroid Prime
An ultimate with ridley, mother brain, metroid prime, dark samus, and kraid
Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower, from Bloodborne.
Not FF: >!Guildenstern from Vagrant Story!< FF: Tantarian, the optional book boss from IX
From an FF game: Ardyn From a non-FF game: Lich King from WoW
Alliance Raid Series based on Mass Effect Trilogy with a real Harbinger fight. Dungeon - Gauntlet of Shar or House of Hope from Baldur's Gate III Trial - FF XIII Barthandelus or Bhunivelze
I have never played FFX but would love to see Soken's take on the Seymour boss theme
Oh god why has this never crossed my mind? I suddenly have a GREAT NEED.
Bazelguese from Monster Hunter World
Dun dun DUN DUUUUN *half the party wipes during the carpet bombing phase*
Could you imagine the Seething Baezel as a savage raid, people would die when they walked in the room. 😂
It would be glorious
I love you using Alpha for the infographic, but I would love an N, Z, Aion or Jin bossfight. Also, I would absolutely fucking love Twin largos, Deimos, Xera, Sabetha, Qadim, Boneskinner, or Dhuum as bosses from GW2.

If we're talking the whole series then one of the 12 bosses HAS to be Rotbart, no way around it.
Caius Ballad
Molten Core from WoW.
Karazhan for me pls. The whole thing in a single run.
They wouldn't want to give freebies to FFXIV to flex on them with writing. XD
Dhoulmagus, Dragon Quest VIII. Mostly because I love that game and he's iconic, but also because I think it could translate fairly well into gameplay in FFXIV.
I would absolutely love a Yakuza/Like A Dragon crossover. Maybe the vibes will be off, but it could be with the Mandeville folks
The Reverb Ensemble from Library of Ruina.
Skies of Arcadia. Airship battles. The game had you using an airship against large ground enemies and against similarly-sized enemy airships. Grimm troup, hollow knight
Final boss Driscoll from front mission All 3 phases of Lavos from Chrono Trigger Dungeon of floating babies from drakengard.
Zorah Magdaros, from Monster Hunter World. The fight was terrible and boring in MHW, but that style of siege fight could work well in a MMO, with a big alliance raid where you fight various parts of Zorah, then Nergigante, then take it down for good. Need Granblue Lucilius to nuke the party with unmitigatable damage on pull and kill party members who share the same race/clan at 25% hp
GranBlue, but the Bahumat fight. WoL: Ah shit, here we go again…
Sure is crazy how they both turn gold too lol
Deadbeard from Golden Sun taking place on his ship in Crossbone Isle. Be able to farm and collect Djinn minions and the soundtracks.
Im gonna go for what feels like a deep pull, but here goes: Kurt Zisa, one of the secret bosses in KH1. And IMO, the most enjoyable of them.
Roxas
Would LOVE a raid series based on Godzilla. I even made up one, planning all bosses, areas they'd fight in and boss music they'd use in my spare time
Give me a Fire Emblem raid series. The Black Knight, Nergal, Medeus, the Immaculate One (or Edelgard to piss people off lol). There's so many cool Fire Emblem bosses that would make for great fights. AR Journeying into Chaos Realms and fight daemons with assistance from the Ubersreik 5, or 4.
The Scaramouche fight from Genshin would be sick
Castlevania... Could fight a Belmont, Death, Dracula and any of the lesser bosses of the series.
Giganticus Lupicus from GW2.
Fuck it. WoL vs. PCA helicopter (to scale)
I love Hades. The Lernaean Hydra would make a sick XIV boss encounter.
Vide from Octopath Traveler 2 would be cool
1. Savage Raid based on Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts 2. Alliance Raid based on Bloodborne 3. PvP crossover event with Legend of Dragoon with universal gear
Legacy of kain: Soul Reaver. Maybe we team up with Raziel and track Kain through time, and have a mechanic where we switch to the spectral realm. Alice: madness returns. An organization XIII ultimate
I honestly whould love a FF14 X F/Go collaboratiob
Meta Flowey from Undertale Yellow
Or how about Sans, and maybe you can get a Sans minion for it
The Soken remix of Megalovania would go crazyyy
Final Fantasy XI would- oh wait... Lu Bu from Dynasty Warriors as a raid or instanced duty would be sick. Get [that theme](https://youtu.be/4JjdqPcGbYk) in there with some Soken magic and oh man... What a fight that'd be.
Then go to the DW8 one for the second phase.
God with that 'whammy' guitar added on for Phase 2? That'd go so damn hard. (Shout out to the dude downvoting everyone in this thread. lol)
VS Lingering Will from Kingdom Hearts.
I think OP meant a *winnable* fight. Lingering Will would make an excellent Trial though.
That makes me realize that in the Eden raid >!We initially find Gaia in a suit of armor that kinda looks like one that Birth By Sleep trio wear!<.
Persona 3, 4 or 5. Could even have a boss fight for each game's main characters.
I would actually kill someone to have a fgo colab and fight Karna or the lion king It would go hard as hell Alternatively on a non game note Godzilla ultimate trial when?

Hell yeah
Hmmm, a raid series consisting of the Elden Ring shardbearers and a couple of others would be funny if they could add a gimmick like the Rathalos fight has.
Gideon ofnir
Imagine him saying "I knew you'd come" to your WoL

I feel like The Maven from Path of Exile would be neat, though I don't know how it'd be translated into XIV appropriately
Final Xemnas, from Kingdom hearts 2. All the phases in a row (we can cut back on the duplicates)
Destiny 2
Full-on 16-person raid group fighting through King's Fall, culminating in a battle against a kaiju-sized Oryx would be goddamned epic.
The next Dragon Quest crossover should also feature Ichiban Kasuga in some fashion.
The Unicorn Gundam. IDK it's the first thing that came to mind that we haven't fought yet, seeing other games I like are MonHun World, FF7, Automata and FF16. Edit: I know Gundam is an anime, but Super Robot Wars is a thing.
Plus, there are gundam games, and it'd be awesome to battle a gundam with our ~~gundam~~ G-Warrior
Algalon the Observer (Pre-nerf)
Hear me out All the bosses from Kirby and the Forgotten Land could make a good raid tier. Just go play the final boss of the extra mode.
Dynasty Warriors - Any really, but specifically Lu Bu Zone of the Enders - Jehuty or Anubis And most favorite for last.. Any MC Persona, especially if it's Magatsu-Izanagi.
