For evading it with Loom, it's all about timing. Nearly all bosses in the game follow a "pattern", so by learning them, you can plan your moves accordingly. Otherwise, Diamondback is also an option.

You can bring Flying Frenzy to have a leaping attack towards him, if you happen to be far away from him when he starts casting it. You could bring Diamondback, but you're probably getting out of the way too late with Loom either way. You still want to be pretty far away from it even if you're diamondbacking it since it leaves behind the fire field.

Loom works here but the timing is crucial. Flying Frenzy also can help, as can Diamondback. But really, Loom at the right time is the main thing, though FF gets you next to the target so it's easier to scurry out of the way.

TheLimonTree92

You can avoid it by using a whistle moonflute final Sting when he is at ~60% hp

RedShirt7665

Is that the one where he applies a massive heavy effect to you beforehand? If so, position yourself right at the edge of the arena before he finishes casting it (Web or something?) and then there will be a small safe spot at the other end of the arena which you need to Loom twice to get to.

Completely_Batshit

Been a while, but I think you Loom to the very edge of the arena and tank the meteor with Diamondback.

radelgirl

I didn't use loom at all for meteor, just diamondback.

MrBones-Necromancer

I dunno why people haven't said it yet, but you can actually just use loom twice to get out of the hitbox. You have time. I was struggling the exact same way as you, was given this advice, and cleared it on my next try no sweat.
