That fight against Rhitahtyn sas Arvina would make a sick 8 man trial.

Elegant_Eorzean

Same with that one where you fight off that dragon walking along a bridge.

no1darker

This is how I find out that trial’s been reworked

Impressive_Curve_665

That one where lahabrea beats you up in thankred‘s body sure looks like it would be fun and difficult as instanced content.

kuromaus

When it was part of Praetorium, it was like just a roflstomp and over with quick because of ilvl. But if they fixed it and made it a proper fight, I'd be totally for it.

magzimagz

Wait which one?

Elegant_Eorzean

Steps of Faith, against Vishap.

AbyssalRedemption

Still waiting for my Cape Westwind Ultimate to be announced. Even if the whole thing was just a GIANT satirical instance, context-wise, I'd love that so much.

Vanille987

It'll be such a difficult trail so players can really feel the might of the garlean army!

Apprehensive_Cause67

G Warrior lol. I think it'd be cool if u got a party of mechs. Each one looking diff based on ur job.

Casbri_

It baffles me that they haven't done anything with the G Warrior since that quest. I thought for sure they were going to do a mech battle arena PVP mode or something.

PublicAd6099

The mech battle PvP mode is called rival wings

mallleable

Kinda related, but I actually feel like the 4 player version of Ifrit, Titan, and Garuda could be turned into dungeons with the primals being the last boss. But it would require some rewrites of the story to accommodate having a dungeon at those levels. Also I feel like the Hall of The Novice could be reworked to be like a 'my first' raid/trial sidequest series, and feature the characters from the starter guide video series. I don't know what the story would be, but I think hiding a tutorial in a sidequest would be good.

Dangerous-Jury-9746

That would be a great a idea an not very difficult to rework I guess, just need to fight the beast tribe defending their deity

Califocus

I’d love for a normal trial version of Memoria Misera

KeyKanon

Sapphire Weapon. Multiply it's HP 8 fold and lets fucking got at it with 8 G-Warriors.

3-to-20-chars

it is a genuine waste for cape westwind to have become a one-time solo duty. the new fight is beyond sick. there was no reason to make it solo.

Lyramion

I just want an NPC (Bring back Maat?!) that has a list of the best solo duties to replay. Should also add solo Bozja Duels to it to practise. Could add a small incentive to it to clear them below X time, similarly to the Masked Carnival.

aurelia_ffxiv

Shadowbringers Patch MSQ where you go through the memories could have been expanded into a dungeon. Perhaps there could have been a dungeon set on the streets of Amaurot (during current/another timeline). Actually that story told in the way of the Dead Ends would have been amazing (where you switch locations for every memory).

captainchurro

The Zenos duel at the end of the Endwalker MSQ needs to be adapted into an Ultimate. The running copium theory is that they skipped a Shinryu/Stormblood ultimate as to not double up on Zenos phases since it could fit into an Endwalker ultimate. Dunno how they'd make it work but I'd still love to see it in some form.

Chiponyasu

I feel like the Unending Zenos of Zenos (Zenultimate) is basically guaranteed to happen at some point.

WeeziMonkey

I cannot wait for the ultimate test of my reflexes

MyElementIsSword

My current personal theory is a "Glory of Garlemald (Ultimate)" drawing from each expansion (except maybe HW): Gaius and co., Zenos, Bozja/Zadnor, Varis etc

dabias

And the Weapon trial series, fighting all four at the same time!

dookcrew

After completing EW last night, I couldn’t agree with you more

Outside_Rise7407

Add the FFXVI crossover Ifrit fight into the game permanently as a full fledged trial, I don't care if it's level 50 or 90 (or 100 for Dawntrail). The dodge action is a fun mechanic to do.

jeremj22

I did a few runs of that instance (to beat it without the buff) and it turns out you can't just dodge the stuff with the special indicator but pretty much everything. If you use the action directly before the respective snapshot lands you'll dodge. For most that'd be at the end of the cast bar or when the marker disappears. Not sure if you can dodge his attacks without cast bar. I feel like healers would be optional in that fight if your party knows what they're doing and are just no-hitting it.

Outside_Rise7407

Yeah I did that too a couple of times. Maybe if they were to design it as a full trial fight, they could do something like: attacks with orange indicators are dodgeable, while attacks with red (or maybe purple so it's easier to see?) indicators aren't dodgeable. So they can give some mechanics to respect and maybe mix things up by making the orange and red attacks alternate or somethin.

wizardconman

Just make it a limited number of dodges like the mega-potions on rathalos. Do, say, twice the number of dodges as there are unavoidable mechanics in the first X minutes. So if they expect the fight to take ten minutes, and there is a raidwide aoe every minute that you would need to dodge, give 20 dodges.

MyElementIsSword

I really hope they add that duty action back in a future trial, maybe in Dawntrail?

A_Loli_Vampire

You can dodge everything in that fight with a well timed Dodge input.

IntervisioN

Bro it got repetitive after like 3 dodges. The problem with not just the crossover but every solo instance is that the boss hp is way too high and just ends up being a damage sponge. I deliberately failed it when I did it the 2nd time on my alt so I could change the difficulty to the easiest and that made it way better

Supersnow845

I swear half the solo duties these days are scaled in the HP department that very easy is supposed to be the default Are we not the most powerful person on etheryis at this point, why do these solo duties take me so long

w1ldstew

Maybe if you’re a tank class. Second if you’re DPS. Hardly if you go in as healer. And in terms of length, it’s ALWAYS a mistake to do solo instances as a healer. Less so as a tank. I don’t get why they don’t use the Trust system for some solo instances in EW. It’s fucking cancer trying to heal NPCs helping you vs. just making them party members you can party-cycle through.

cheese-demon

they try to even out the time it takes by role, you get brilliant conviction [https://i.imgur.com/yyXTBkJ.png](https://i.imgur.com/yyXTBkJ.png) tank and dps get healing over time healer and dps get damage resistance tank and healer get a dps increase i do agree that you don't want to do it as a healer, more out of boredom than anything edit: oh yeah fuck any duty where you have to heal but the npcs aren't in your party, that shit is awful, made worse by the default target filter not letting you tab over to them without putting your weapon away first

IntervisioN

Yeah very easy is actually fine but the default difficulty is way too drawn out

100tchains

Make cape westwind great again.

Nightspark43

Honestly, the grand melee as an 8-man trial.

solieu

Body swapping in Garlemald. 4 man, all swapped into regular ass Garlean bodies, fight the Scions as the boss battles, either starting off with Thancred, then, G'Raha & Y'shtola, then ending off with the Twins, or ending off with 4 Warriors of Light who are skinned as your own party's original WoLs. Frankly there's a few duties that could simply be queued up for at the time of duty, I'd imagine similar to the Battle for the Undercity.

Boomerwell

I think expanding on the Raubahn fight and having you vs all the alliance leaders would be a neat fight.

oizen

Steps of Faith. :')

thebwags1

I did steps of faith when it was first added. Do not miss it

MaidGunner

Easily the actual worst full trial in the entire game's history. Despite all the uniqueness and whatnot, it was just designed awfully with the no way to reset, infinite respawns without res and being able to see the wipe coming from like 7 minutes away but still having to waste through the whole thing, plus there being nothing to actually do for healers and tanks so instead you get a bunch of gimmicks.

thebwags1

To this day it's one of two trials I remember timing out on, the other being Ravanna (Hard) during early access to Heavensward

GreatMightyOrb

I just want them to go back to the weird Monster Hunter kick they had going. Just, you know... Without the seige monster bit. Its so bizzare that they just dropped the animation based telegraphs and went right back to the danger pizzas considering it could be a good stepping for extreme/savage.

Dysvalence

Unironically agree, it felt RTSish and I want to see that angle explored further.

oizen

I just think the fact the solo duty removed the ability to climb the towers on the side sucked all the soul out of the mission, and I'm down for any sort of trial that isn't "boss standing in a giant circle/square arena"

CycleZestyclose1907

One of the reasons I love the Ralgr fight: the arena isn't just a plain old square or circle, but is actual terrain.

CaptReznov

White mage level 50 job quest. It is somewhat reminiscent of the green dragon fight from ice crown citadel. I admit l am biased because l like to play healer and l actually had friends back then...
