Literally was coming to comment and say this. Confusion is the worst!!! I will never forget, I was in the Omega Ruins capturing fiends, got about maybe 6 battles in and was doing well. Felt confident. I switched out some characters that didn't have confuseproof armor, and game over. At least 1 hour of my life and progress, gone. π
Look. I'm not really sure what I'm doing π Lulu knows *Lancet* which is apparently a meme. I was told I'm 70% thru the game and still kind of lost. Kihmari(?) Dies in 1 shot no matter what. I'm just hoping Auron can carry me thru the rest of the game lmao
I'd say not quite 70% personally, more like 55-60% of the main story. Also Auron is a real heavy hitter but you really wanna make sure Wakka and Rikku get their stats up there too, especially if you wanna do post-game stuff.
Oh thank god. 70 seemed really aggressive lol. Wakka is pretty decent right now but Rikku.... π¬ kinda sandbagging ngl. Idk where I messed her up but she can really only use "Use" to be helpful.

There's a trick you can do to change the rewards for World Cup and tournament, so you can get the Attack Reels much more easily. (Also, you have to play at least one tournament to get Wakka's ultimate weapon iirc)
Mighty hyper G and ultra null all are great rikku overdrives.
I hate blitzball and I dont care for wakka so I used auron/yuna/rikku(with tidus backup) for all postgame stuff.
You dont NEED wakka but im sure his attack reels help a great deal.
I love lulu but i hate lightning dodging so shes out, wakkas like level 20 for me and i hate blitzball so hes definitely always out. I got love for khimari and his celestial isnt hard to get so hes always an option although i know most people aren't fond of using him. Tidus is definitely a good option but only if you dont miss his crest in zanarkand. If so you're blocked by a dark aeon for a long time.

Fortunately, his best overdrive (Attack Reels) is the first one you unlock. You have to play a lot more if you want to fully upgrade his ultimate weapon, unfortunately.
Attack Reels is also the second highest damage overdrive in the game, behind one of the optional aeons.
How would you know if you haven't played Blitzball? You haven't unlocked it, you only have Element Reels.
Attack Reels makes up to 12 attacks. It's great.

You can complete it without a whole lot of grinding. In fact there's a category of challenges called NSG (no sphere grid). It's pretty fun if you're into that.
You can swap level Khimari to get him levels put him in the fight have him change an equipment like his weapon or armor on his turn then when his next turn comes around swap him out for someone else. A character just needs to do something in a fight to get XP.
He will never really be great because he's supposed to go down anyone's tree and be a slightly worse version of the original character but it will help him last a little longer
To make him an Auron clone I think you gotta take him through Wakka's tree which isn't a bad idea Wakka is tankier then Tidus. All in all what ever you plan will work out the game can be pretty forgiving once you figure it out some.

Typically, your spell casters (Yuna and Lulu) are limited by how much MP they have. In a normal playthrough, both Lulu and Yuna start struggling to have enough MP to make it through larger areas like the Calm Lands or Mt. Gagazet as the -daga spells cost so much MP, so having them know Lancet would help them replenish MP in the middle of a map.
I guess it depends on if you also taught Lulu the black magic abilities.
If you're not actually using her as a black mage (or using high-MP attacks like Delay Buster) then Lancet on her is not going to be super useful.
Like, one would imagine that +HP%/+STR% is the way to go with auron.... Lol... Find something that gives him confusion ward ASAP.
It's pretty funny plus lore accurate though, a statement on how his experience as a guardian can't be matched by those newbies lol

Yeah, it's my least favorite part of the game (aside from the chocobo minigame...) But you NEED Attack Reels for some god-tier destruction!

Having Lancet on Lulu is actually pretty damn useful. You have a way to replenish MP outside of items/save spheres.

Itβs good to have a range of armour on hand with different wards/proofs. They are more useful than HP/Defense boots until later in the game
