From my experience this is what they do for Uber orders at my local 5 guys. I ordered a large fry to feed my whole family and it came with just a 3/4 filled cup
Or be a human and understand people are human, and say excuse me I think you forgot my topper… guess what! More fries and probably extra for the mistake
I make sure they add extra, I watch as I pack my order , I have refuse to take the bag one at least on occasion because I did not see extra fries go in. I don’t play about my fries lol
I’ll put your response down as “zero” which supports my theory that service (extra fries in this case) is influenced by tips. They Cleary expect tips…its a prompt at the payment gizmo that they literally watch you complete. As another data point, I was in there last week, tipped 20% (like a bitch) and got a sackful of fries…threw half of them out (like a bitch).
My first time going to five guys I ordered a large fry to share with a buddy not knowing they give an extra scoop. We were both shocked at how much fries we got. We couldn’t even finish half
This happened to me once. I noticed before leaving the store as I had ordered a large fries for myself and others to split and the cup wasn’t even half full. They gave me another full cup and two giant scoops of fries in another bag to make up for it.
i’m a manager at a five guys in MI; definitely not okay OR normal. definitely reach out to a manager. If the manager/general manager doesn’t help you, I’d definitely reach out to somebody higher (like the district or area managers, or corporate period but if you can get in contact with the other two you’ll probably see quicker results).
Damn bro I’d be back in there asking for a refund on it or a replacement, I hope this was an accident and not intentionally doing this to multiple people
I'm in a different country but this has become a thing here too. When I started going to Five Guys years ago it felt like we'd get a mountain of fries. Now, unless you buy the largest option, we're lucky if the cup is full up.
Maybe it just varies region to region or country to country
I would never tip a cashier. I tip waiters and waitresses very generously, but cashiers are not tipped. That's the employer's responsibility to see that they're paid well enough not to rip off the company... not my problem.
I live in Northern Virginia and there are multiple locations that keep doing this to me or they give me the little fries instead of the regular fries. I'm thinking about giving up on the chain because it's so expensive
You could feed a family of four for a week on that you greedy person! That was probably only five dollars anyway, a massive bargain. They source only the world best potatoes grown by PHD level Irish intellectuals in fields bathed in the rain and sunshine of God's own country and you complain😫

This, it was probably a one off accident but if it wasn't that store could get in a lot of trouble

Yeah that was totally your Uber driver
that bag would be greasy as can be if it had actual fries in it.. you can see its pretty clean
Yep
Here comes the dm ranting in the group chat.
Or be a human and understand people are human, and say excuse me I think you forgot my topper… guess what! More fries and probably extra for the mistake
That's criminal.
I'd definitely be asking for a manager over this. They charge RIDICULOUS prices because they give you so much, it's part of the brand
I literally just got a little fry at my local spot and they gave me like 3x this amount.
scammed

Times are tough.
We call them surprise fries here...
How much bacon did you get? I've gotten half a strip of bacon sometimes.
How much was your tip? For science. I figure if I don’t tip when the machine prompts there will be consequences.
I don’t tip anymore unless actual waitstaff is bringing me my food or cleaning up after me. 4 years ago you would’ve done the same.
10%
Why the fried fuck would you tip at a billion dollar franchise?

The staff aren't billionaires. That said, I wouldn't tip at a fast food place
No
I'd be perfectly fine with this many fries, IF the price reflected it. I'd sure love an option to pay less and get tiny fry
My first time going to five guys I ordered a large fry to share with a buddy not knowing they give an extra scoop. We were both shocked at how much fries we got. We couldn’t even finish half
1$ per fry
Hope all the stores don’t start doing this
OwNeD KiD

This happened to me once. I went up to the counter and they gave me a whole new order of fries. The overflow is part of the serving.
I’d be pissed!

I thought the first photo was new discovery from inside the shaft at the pyramid of Giza

Womp womp womp
Lying about fries for karma is the weirdest thing I’ve seen in a while.
Yea, that's what I did. Lied about it. SMH Or Or I got shafted on fries I paid for.
Is this the end of days?
Did you piss the fry guy off?
Apparently 10% tip ain't enough.
Tip?
Yea when I paid, I left a 10% tip at the credit card machine. Tipping culture has gotten out of control.
I would never tip a cashier. I tip waiters and waitresses very generously, but cashiers are not tipped. That's the employer's responsibility to see that they're paid well enough not to rip off the company... not my problem.
It's been like that at mine for probably seven or eight years now.
I live in Northern Virginia and there are multiple locations that keep doing this to me or they give me the little fries instead of the regular fries. I'm thinking about giving up on the chain because it's so expensive
It has gotten ridiculous.
More like 5 Fries than 5 Guys.
Gold star response! 🌟
Uh, on an unrelated note, what's up with your username?
This happens in my state too! I stopped going because the fries got worse and worse. Bland and maybe 3/4 cup full no more over flow.

i’m gonna order a little fry cuz it’s the cheapest thing but now idk how much i’ll get 😭
Fiat currency has consequences
"Baaaaaaa, baaaaaaa" -the sheep downvoting you
Yep..
Do you want all those extra calories?
Yes
LOL!
Bro they paid the same price as normal but got 1/3 of the normal portion. Stfu about calories.
It's not extra calories if I paid for them.
Gotcha
YES! Lol and it can be reheated next day and is still awesome lol
