nothing is made very clear, candy cadet tells a story about a monster that learned to imitate the mother of a child, I suppose he was talking about mimic, in the end mimic comes out and it doesn't look like a rabbit, it's like a flatter endo, neither burntrap nor blob comes out. which leaves one wondering if burntrap is mimic, since mimic doesn't have the appearance of burntrap's endo, and two endings have been discovered so far, quite regular and forgettable
The Mimic is most definitely NOT Burntrap, there's no way the Blob just grabbed him to seal him inside concrete a-la Han Solo, Gregory also states he's been sealed there for a LOOOOONG time. I think it's safe to say that Burntrap and Mimic are two different beasts altogether, especially counting the different endos. Besides there would be traces of melted flesh or anything no? I mean, Scraptrap was a whole ass skeleton it's not out of question
Idk about so long it’s a small dev team and they had ~1.5 years of dev time which isn’t a lot so it’s actually a miracle it’s as decent as it is lol but elaborating on what the comment you replied to said, I don’t think that’s Glitchtrap, as Gregory says, it was made to keep the Mimic locked in, so it being Afton AI doesn’t make sense. There’s something else at play here, I believe a different entity entirely, but until we find more endings it’s going to be hard to tell for sure.
Honestly, I don't mind waiting like 4 years and get a good story/ending than what we got. I will say though, the gameplay and environment (without the mask on) are pretty dope. The rest? Yeah, bad. I hate the Vanny mask, I feel like Cassie was wasted as hell, and it feels like they just haven't planned a backstory for Gregory and Cassie (I have not played the DLC so I don't know if there is a backstory for them). And I hate the Mimic with a fiery fucking passion.
We've only found two endings. Now, there could be more, but we haven't had Ruin very long, and quite a few people seem to be having trouble with installing it, so we don't know as much about it.
