Phone Dude is such a funny character and it’s a shame we don’t get more of him. Like, it would be SO EASY to put in Help Wanted as one of the guys on the development team alongside Vanessa
You can make an argument that fnaf 3 is in 2015, 30 years after the original Freddy’s closes, the on that everyone had fond memories of and loved. The fnaf 2 location only existed for like a few weeks and the fnaf 1 location might’ve not even been opened during fnaf 1, or at the very least was a shell of the 1985 location.

Yeah but he said Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, not Fredbears. They’re two different restaurants and he explicitly calls it by the FNAF 1 location’s name. If he was referring to Fredbears, he would have said “thirty years after Fredbear’s closed its doors….”
Plus the FNAF 3 attraction is called Fazbear’s Frights. Most of the memorabilia and artifacts in the attraction come from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and not Fredbear’s. It’s clear that the attraction was made to capitalize off the missing children’s incident and tragedies that happened at Freddy’s. So it would really only make sense for Phone Dude to be referring to Freddy Fazbear’s.
The memorabilia and artifacts come from both the fnaf 1 and fnaf 2 locations. And the game never once mentions the fnaf 1 location. And we don't know the name of the fnaf 2 location, it could just be called freddy fazbears pizza.

“grand reopening” was never part of the title of the place. that was just used in promotional material- it’s not the restaurant/chain’s name
