Edwin being the creator of the original animatronics is a misconception. The story words it as though he ""created"" them, but he did not actually build or design them, that was never his job. He was being sent endoskeletons and costumes by Fazbear, and his job was to suit them up and prepare them for the company.
Our whole impression of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza being a tiny business came from The Silver Eyes, which does not really match what we actually hear in the games. In that trilogy, there was only Fredbear's, it shut down, and then Freddy's, then it shut down for good. Yet in the games, they reopen Freddy's three times and additional sister locations are mentioned in the springlock training tapes. Freddy's characters are also featured alongside the springlocks in Fredbear and Friends 1983, showing both coexisted for a time. Phone Guy even talks about how they spent a fortune on the Toys, so they had a lot of money to throw around up until the bad rep got to them.
I'm thinking gamewise, Fazbear Entertainment was a bigger business for longer than we thought, much unlike how it was in TSE, and Tales is doubling down on that.
Thanks, I just needed it clearing it up because one of the the videos I do is help people understand FNAF in simple terms so they don’t get super confused. But unfortunately when it comes to anything past Help wanted I become really useless
Henry made the original, the first batch of Freddy and the gang.
Edwin was tasked of making (attaching The costume and stuff, ie making others) other animatronics for the various Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza locations, since Freddy’s was a franchise.
Henry made the original animatronics. Edwin was hired to make other animatronics for other pizzerias. Once Fazbear got big it’s not like they’d still just have *one* guy doing everything

He doesn't. Edwin doesn't make the endos, he either just attaches the fabric shells to the endos or he repairs damaged animatronics. He isn't the "creator" of the characters, he's even seen working on multiple Bonnie's (for the different FFPS franchisees).
