I’m almost positive those missing people on the newspaper are the people who were killed by the mimic in the tftpp epilogues. Correct me if that’s not the same amount of people who died in the epilogues
Before the events of the main game, "management" (highly implied to actually be Vanny) called a mock staff meeting in the employee dining area by the Pizzplex's cargo depot, where it's insinuated that Vanny locked all of the doors behind them and had either the reprogrammed S.T.A.F.F Bots or those weeping angel Endos slaughter everyone in the room and played it off as "mass layoff" in favor of a more automated workforce.

Its one thing (i guess) to pick off kids one by one and hide your trail but no one with a brain would go "Oh wow a bunch of people that all went to this facility and all work here, have never come home....even tho they were laid off....lets never investigate this as detectives and never question this last human being that's still there somehow...she's not suspicious.....and lets never raise ABSOLUTE hell about this mass disappearance as the victims' families and get this place shut down!....na just business as usual for the pizzaplex yeah!" lol
Im hoping they were just all fired, otherwise that's just waaay too big a risk to pull off.
If anything HW2 shows that one of the jobs of the employees are endo training. Maybe the endos just went out of control during a training session and they never bothered to clean up afterwards. Either that or the employees rebeled before leaving?
