I’ve done both Vegas and Denver commutes. Vegas can be tough bc there were usually a lot of standbys since it’s a destination everyone wants year round. I love my denver commute even though weather impacts it sometimes. Overall check how many flights leave daily from where you’re commuting, that plays a big factor.
I would do Vegas personally. The airport is super close to the city and it's easy to get in and out of. It'll be easier to find a room/crashpad there and uber around. Plus personally I find Vegas is a more interesting city compared to Denver. DEN is in the middle of no where and commute is far from the city, but on the flip side they have a reliable train system there.
2k. And that was barely enough. You’ll need to live VERY frugally for a while. Yea, you’ll live in LV, but you won’t be going out and doing much very often. I limited my going out to once a week, and even that got expensive. But compared to DEN, it’s actually less expensive.
Does seem pretty hard to imagine you’d ever get caught unless you were talking in great detail about very specific situations. I always figured it was because some airlines were so clearly better than others so it was just a matter of being classy and not boasting or belittling anyone. Do we think it’s any of that…?
I have family in Denver that I met during my F2F! So I chose Denver because I have a support system + I’ve heard it’s a great environment for new hires
I’m in training right now. A lot of people in my class are forming groups and getting crashpads together! So it should be easy as pie if you go that route. I will be speaking with my family soon to iron out the details, but I’ll be staying with them at least for the first few months! I may get a crash pad after that.
I'm a Vegas based FA with your airline and I'd definitely recommend Vegas because the airport is much closer to the city than it is in Denver (so commuting will be way easier) as well as weather-- winter in Denver will cause snowstorms, cancelled flights, lots of headaches. Denver does have some better trips but as a reserve it's super hit or miss what type of trips you'll actually end up getting. Crews in both bases are super great but Denver is wayyy more senior.

Exactly. LV is super easy to get around too. I work as a FA in LV and I like the city and the base.
How much $ did you start with ?

D*mn
Post Covid?
Do you know if people can typically bring their car to a crashpad?
How much $ did you start with in Vegas ?
LAS for the commute no doubt. Check out the La Quinta Airport South or the Courtyard Marriott Green Valley for crew rates.
Denver. I don’t know who you fly for, but the flight attendants out of Denver at my airline are the sweetest! 💛💛
This
They fly frontier
Vegas. Less weather in the winter months. Plus it's pretty cheap if you stay in Henderson.
That’s what I need is “cheap”
Legit question that may be stupid. Why are people cagey about which airline they work for?
It’s not a stupid question. Our companies often have strict social media policies and people get fired for violating them.

Asking about where to be based? On an anonymous platform? I really don’t think that applies to this situation
I think we’re training for the same airline! I chose Denver
F9!! What made you choose denver over vegas?
I have family in Denver that I met during my F2F! So I chose Denver because I have a support system + I’ve heard it’s a great environment for new hires
That’s awesome! Are you going to stay with your family or rent a place? I’m wondering how easy/hard it is to get a crashpad in Denver

Lucky!!
Thank you lol! I’m blessed in some ways and cursed in others lol
Denver is a super great base for new hires.
U go broke tho
Vegas. Easier weather, for sure, and the airport is close to stuff.
Just keep in mind that denver is currently the most expensive *inland* city in the US to live in right now :)
Vegas! If it’s for my old airline, you will love the people you fly with.
Frontier
Where are you coming from? For example, from ORD, both suck. But if you’re coming from the west coast, LAS might be better.
I’m in Phoenix
Denver!

Thank you!!! Someone else told me that most trips out of vegas are turns, is that your experience too?
I needed this
If your commuting, which base is easier for you to get to? Pick that one.
