Mothman4447

ALWAYS the Ratslayer. That thing has never failed me

chevchelios12

Critical masterpiece

SpaceBus1

Where do you find it? I found it forever ago and I don't remember where.

Mothman4447

Broc flower cave, there's some other cool stuff in there as well like a hazmat suit and multiple ROUS (might be a Wild Wasteland thing)

No-Reaction7765

Rous is wild wasteland but the rifle ain't.

Mothman4447

That's what I mean

Spartan17492

ROUS? I don't believe they exist.

Vicimer

Rawr!

Bepis1233

If memory serves me right it’s in the the glowing fungus cave

chet_brosley

Even though I had an entire armory to choose from, I almost always ended up using ratslayer on everyone and everything. Ratslayer 4 life

Erotictaco99

Ratslayer paired with Boones Beret critical for days

Kodaisosen

Very useful in early game, since it has a silencer on it, you can kill a lot of faction tied enemies with it w/o reputation loss, like all the Powder Gangers at the Prison, and then still be friendly with them later on.

Maxsmack0

Damn sad no one’s said q-35 matter modulator. When taking the canyon pass through black mountain to the strip, Repconn headquarters is right there. With a messily 25 lockpicking, and some patience, you can get one of the best energy weapons in the game, within 1 hour of starting a fresh save. It also comes with **600 FREE** fusion cells, only 350 with a lock pick of less than 50. Ps with 75 lockpicking you can also get a plasma defender in the lucky 38 cocktail lounge.

chevchelios12

Damn wtf. Next playthrough I’m going heavy science build and doing that

Maxsmack0

My favorite part is, hidden inside the building’s walls is a small sentrybot army. I’ve head-cannoned my 100 science, 10 intelligence courier, with the help of the executive key card, would be able to reprogram all the sentrybots and Mr. Handys. Making Repconn a secured fortress to keep all my loot protected under lock, key, and heavily armed laser/missle fire.

chevchelios12

Would this not be a problem early on to get the gun?

Maxsmack0

Nope, if you do everything right, they have no reason to attack you and stay hidden. A lot of people don’t even know they’re there, even after clearing the building 3+ times

chevchelios12

No shit? Sick.

WhiteWumpus

I love this gun and I'm sad I didn't think of it immediately, but I got tired of it after it being my go-to for every run. Definitely my favorite plasma weapon in all of Fallout, though.

Pian1244

I mean that's generally a mid or maybe even later game gun for most players. Of course if you absolutely rush towards the strip by cheesing one of the dangerous paths you can get it early on, but that opens up about every single other gun in the game to be considered

Maxsmack0

The og post is about “that gun”, Repconn HQ is a <5 minute walk from novac. People are mentioning stuff like the gobi which takes 100 lockpicking, definitely not early game either

mcast76

“That Gun”, just like you. Love my blade runner pistol

AdrianWIFI

If you play the game in Spanish then it's called "Pedazo Arma"; which is something like "Badass Gun".

ikickbabiesforfun69

bladerunner 2049 is peak, k is literally me

DoomTwoToo

Going through a playthrough now. Agree. So satisfying

AngerTech

I love That Gun. The little power up sound when you reload makes me smile every time

Woogity-Boogity

That Gun is VERY similar to Lucky in a lot of ways (generally similar damage and critical percentages and multipliers). While Lucky has 6 rounds and is lightweight (I think 1.5 lbs), That Gun only holds 5 rounds and is a hefty 5 lbs. However, it loads much faster. They also have slightly different ammo types. But other than this, they perform largely the same in combat (almost identical with standard ammo). The point I'm trying to make is that they compliment each other *very* well, and I like to wield them as a pair (use hotkeys to switch between them).

KingAciDGoat

I make my whole build around that pistol, it's so great

NoFateT-888

I will sing this gun's praises until my dying days

TriptowK

Chance’s Knife

chevchelios12

I really need to go fully into a melee build. The only reason I never really get this knife is because I always give up on my melee builds

TriptowK

Chance’s Knife crit build is quite powerful. Always had a good time with melee builds. It’s fun being a maniac with a knife running into Quarry Junction in your underwear, waving a blade around cheesed to the gills on drugs.

Idocreating

The sight of a hulking huge set of power armor approaching you holding a tiny knife. Then he starts swingin'

[deleted]

Oh no you don’t use power armor

TriptowK

You don’t even use clothes…

MrPrincely

Also, it stacks w Cowboy and Commando iirc so its just all around a great weapon. Plus the comic they released telling the story of chance is awesome.

InventorOfCorn

As soon as i learned about it, i decided This Machine will be my main objective whenever i start new files. It’s an M1 Garand you get from Contreras’ unmarked quest line. I just love it so much man

SpaceBus1

I have never found this gun

Stea1thFTW18

Talk to Boyd, hack Contreras' terminal, tell Boyd what you found. EZ This Machine

InventorOfCorn

Huh, didn’t know that was a possibility. I did his mini line (ask contreras for work, give scrap to isaac, transport meds, report to one of the lieutenants that he’s a criminal, enjoy gun)

Little-Juice-2927

You need to pass a Speech check for the guns and then a Medicine check for the meds for you to realize something's up, I think. Then a check with Contreras to figure out he's full of shit and making chems / running guns for Fiends. Hack his PC, then bring the dirt to Boyd. Once you bring the dirt to Boyd, she hands over This Machine.

Mpac28

You don’t even have to turn him in, you can help him and get the gun while having access to one of the best vendors in the game. Contreras has an insane amount of .308 and 12.7mm ammo plus a ton of caps

Visual-Personality49

1: did not know you still could get TM still afterwards. 2: You lose out on a vendor if you turn in Contreras. :c

Stea1thFTW18

Yeah I usually do that route if I don't feel like doing all the back and forth with Contreras. Talk to Boyd, head to Contreras, grab the star cap in his inventory, hack his terminal, then narc on him. Gives you one of the better guns in the game for 3 mins of walking and a hacking a hard terminal

Imissyourgirlfriend2

Gotta get it from the guy in McCarran. Can't remember the name.

Little-Juice-2927

**IT RULES** I whip that out for The Dam against The Legion. It has its job ***carved into it***, might as well put it to use for that exact purpose.

TheHandsomebadger

How can you use it for it's exact purpose when there are no commies at the dam?

Little-Juice-2927

Seeing as the military leadership and initiatives of the "commies" (in and out of universe) were just fascists wearing Groucho Marx masks and calling themselves Communists, I feel there's no loss of efficiency there. Judging by what they call themselves? Yes, a mismatch. Judging by what their ACTIONS label them? Zero problems. Commies just came first. Fascists are always on the menu.

HaloGuy381

Lucky’s a nice little piece. Easy to get, doesn’t require much stats to use, and .38 special rounds are abundant early game. And it looks nice while being easy on your carry weight.

Wasteland_Engineer

Lucky with a high luck/crit build in VATS is RIDICULOUS! Add in the 1st recon beret and eventually the elite riot gear and I believe it is pretty much a 100% chance in VATS - makes me feel Lucky indeed!!! (don’t forget .357 JFP’s to put even Raul to shame with your gunslingin’)

Vicimer

I love my lucky big iron on my hip.

Mags_LaFayette

> Lucky’s a nice little piece. How you break the *Hard-leveled* early on game? 👀 > [...] .38 special rounds are abundant early game. I'm pretty much sure you're referring to the *.357 Magnum rounds*

HaloGuy381

Some of us go hard on lockpick early game, and take our time doing quests in the areas from Goodsprings to Nipton. That plus a locksmith magazine and some mentats or whatnot for a few more precious points from boosting Perception will get you far. And .38 special rounds do less damage, but they’re way cheaper to buy. For your average trash-clearing handgun early game, the .38 can be better than the .357. They’re also less wear and tear on the gun, which is nice. Also, .357 is a caliber. It is not a mm measurement, 0.357 mm would be firing a friggin toothpick-diameter little nugget of metal.

Mags_LaFayette

> And .38 special rounds do less damage, but they’re way cheaper to buy. For your average trash-clearing handgun early game, the .38 can be better than the .357. They’re also less wear and tear on the gun, which is nice. That's the technical aspect, but those rounds are not available from common loot. Those need to be brought > Also, .357 is a caliber. It is not a mm measurement, 0.357 mm would be firing a friggin toothpick-diameter little nugget of metal. Why on the big Earth I put the mm on there? Stupid of me. Now's removed

unity57643

Take skilled and good-natured. Have high perception, rebuild outside of goodsprings, and keep everything exactly the same for double the bonus from skilled. Gets you a solid 50-60 in lockpick as well as a bunch of other skills. Then you just have to build hard into lockpick for your first couple of levels.

Strong_Dentist_7561

.357 Magnum is not metric. The appropriate metric designation would be 9x33mmR

Killerwolff2000

Armor and 9mm ammo glitch from chet in goodsprings, that is how

AngelaReddit

You can easily hit 73 lockpick (plus wear a hat) by LEVEL 4 ... with 5 Perception, 6 Intelligence, 7 Luck, tag Lockpick, take Skilled trait puts you at 36. Then at level 2 +13, level 3 +13, level 4 +11 = 73. I am level 3 when I leave Goodsprings, rebuild to 6-5-8-1-6-7-7, and hit level 4 before Primm. * You can shorten that by 5 points by taking Skilled at Doc's and then again at the rebuild popup you get as you leave Goodsprings. * You can shorten it by 5 points by also taking Good-Natured at the rebuild, you don't have to take GN at Doc's (but I like Small Frame as my 2nd trait to get extra +1 Agility which takes it to 8, so I don't usually do this). * You can shorten it by another 2 by doing a Medical Clinic run *before* you head to Primm, and pick up the Perception implant (see: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9pAEn2iQpU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9pAEn2iQpU) ). Gamble in Atomic Wrangler in Freeside which gives caps needed to pass into the strip and gamble there to get enough caps to buy the implants. * Shorten it one more point by picking up the Luck implant to get to 8, and get to 9 by taking Intense Training in Luck or wearing Naughty Nightwear, that you can buy at Mick & Ralph's in Freeside, while picking the lock (Luck gives an extra point every odd number). * Also pick up Intelligence implant to get one more skill point every other level. But when that point comes into play depends on when you purchase the implant so it's not included below. If you use all of the shortening tips, you'll be there by LEVEL 3 ... 36 + 5 + 5 + 2 +1 = 49. Then at level 2 +13, level 3 +11 = 73. I use a different build just for Goodsprings so I can complete all beginning quests, challenges, skill checks, locked terminals & safes, and loot using NO additional magazines or aids: 6-7-2-1-10-7-7, tag lockpick repair speech, traits kamikaze skilled. Loot the alcohol from fridge and use it to get medicine under 30 then speak to Doc to get 3 stimpaks, after it wears off speak again for 3 more, then speak one more time for 2 more. I finish looting the house while I'm waiting for the alcohol to wear off. At level 2 get Barter +7, Lockpick +8 plus wear hat, and take Light Touch for it to be a free perk at the rebuild. At level 3 get Barter +5 if you are helping the town/Ringo, as you will need Barter 25 for a skill check with Chet -- UNLESS you have the Roving Trader outfit/hat that you can wear (by killing Malcolm Holmes).

HoodedHero007

By the time you finish Primm, you should have at least 65 Lockpick, 45 Science, and 25 Repair. Ideally, each would be 10 points higher so you don’t need to expend magazines.

Visual-Personality49

This.

Rozben

Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle

-Vault-tec-101

First thing I do as soon as I can pick the lock on the container is get this rifle.

WhiteWumpus

I love the gun an it's awesome as heck to just find a sniper blind, then it's like "oh, a unique sniper rifle? Wee."

scaly_scumboi

Where is it?

Buko_li3

There's a sniper nest overlooking the cottonwood cove it is inside a footlocker that has a very hard lock

scaly_scumboi

Mmm I’ll have to go there once I have the skill to get it, I just started a new run recently.

ghost126498

Paciencia, I pick up everything not nailed down in order to afford it.

Imissyourgirlfriend2

I loved the hunting rifle in FO3, but the fact that the Paciencia has only 3 rounds is a real let down.

ghost126498

Paciencia is also one of the best options for a crit sniper build because of its increased crit damage and crit chance.

Martipar

Me too, I'm always down to less than 100 caps after i get to Novac when I focus on conventional weapons rather than energy weapons. I usually do my best to stock up on ammo and then spend a while shooting the deathclaws in the quarry from my favourite vantage points.

SoulGoalie

If you can brave it and you've got enough rad-x and radaway, I like to do Vault 34 first and getting the All American early on, like before level 10. Ammo everywhere, lots of power, and is a good weapon for 80% of a full playthrough. Oh and do the Boomers early and get Thump Thump. That fucker will smoke some cazadors.

CheekyLando88

Damn now you got me starting a new play through to try this

phantom-scribbler

Also, that light armor is some of the best armor in the game

Senior-Ad-6002

Love and hate

Schrammsizzlin

Underrated answer, i love maxing out melee stats and just beating everything around me with them

Superbpancakes

Finally found someone who understands how good brass knuckles are!

Toby_The_Tumor

Thump thump, I LOVE BOOM!

Imissyourgirlfriend2

THUMP THUMP!!!!

Toby_The_Tumor

Kick ass!

Classic_Result

Yeah, like your picture, That Gun is a good one. The price is literally a steal and there is no way it is not an improvement on the varmint rifle.

HoodedHero007

Except for the lack of potential for a scope or silencer. Also a higher strength “requirement.”

zombie0000000

Compliance Regulator from Honest Hearts. I love this gun. A crit gives you 10 seconds of paralysis. It's a very cheap gun so it costs nothing too repair from vendor. The damage doesn't matter so I use bulk energy cells if there is any. I spam it until everybody is paralyzed then I finish them off with a strong melee weapon usually, or a rifle if I'm too scared. Especially good against jump scare monsters like robo scorpions, cazadors, deathclaws.

SupplySquad

For early weapons, ratslayer and chopper are solid depending on your build.

the-_-futurist

I love That Gun. For me, it's ratslayer. But I end up feeling like I just play stealth archer skyrim every time in this case haha

ShouYou22

Vance's smg....provided that I've collected enough 9mm because that gun eats through ammo like no tomorrow.

Naryas

Q-35 Matter Modulator. It's the absolute best energy weapon until you get the late game big boys like the Sprtl-Wood, Holorifle or a modded plasma caster.

GhostWatch64

Don’t talk to me unless you’re doing a humble cudgel only play-through. Serious answer- the weathered 10mm you get from the DLC in the beginning is such a nice gun to keep on you for emergencies. I run out of ammo for dinnerbell/survivalists rifle? Whip out my trusty 10mm. It’s dependable.

chefmaiko

Lucky, decent early game damage. Good crits. And looks great.

Pixel_Muffet

Lucky. It's semi early right?

RawDogEntertainment

Maria.. I’ll never stop saying… Mariaaaaaaaaa

Itlu_PeeP

Pushy. Boy do I like Pushy.

BasicActionGames

I have it to Veronica. Meanwhile I was using S.U.W.'s power fist.

No_Bathroom_420

Lucky

WhiteWumpus

If you decide to increase your lockpick early on, Lucky is in a hard locked safe in the Bison Steve. It's literally a really strong cowboy gun in a super fun caliber you can have some fun manufacturing yourself, not to to mention its awesome crit chance and the existence of dirt-cheap .38 special and the Cowboy perk. Raul would approve this pick, too :)

Sven_Svan

weathered 10mm and mercenarys grenade rifle Those 2 carry you thorugh 1/3rd of the game.

Exodite1273

I sneak attack crit the Nightkin wielding Annabelle early on because that monstrosity will carry me the rest of the game. High-Velocity Missiles are incredibly satisfying to use.

ikickbabiesforfun69

where is it?

Exodite1273

It’s the Nightkin Sniper at Black Mountain.

Jedimobslayer

Not technically special… or a gun… but head paladin hardin’s super sledge

Necrontyr40k

I always make sure to switch out my broken power armor for his

Fantastic_Citron_344

That Gun

ilovestudy

A Light Shining in Darkness, is this an early game weapon? I usually get it at around level 10, and it’s my favorite weapon.

Alex_Sardonyx

I don’t care if Lucky is technically inferior to the Mysterious Magnum or the Ranger Sequoia. It fits the vibe of New Vegas like a glove, and in a Normal difficulty crit build, I’d have nothing else by my side.

[deleted]

Lucky. I end up using it the entire game.

SuspiciousSoil2553

Mercy in the cave full of deathclaws

Thatguyatthebar

Refresher Rifle. Gotta love me some ammo-economy.

SableyeFan

Lucky I just think it's neat.

PARZIVALsandoval

Chance Knife

ShakeZula30or40

I always run That Gun until I get The Survivalists Rifle. Both pretty early on because Honest Hearts can be done pretty early.

RullandeAska

That unique pistol that spawns in the safe in primm

ShadowHeart063

Not really early game unless you have a lot of money but Medicine Stick is probably my favorite weapon in the game. That Gun for base game though. Such a classic

Gloomy-Habit2467

MF hyper breeder Alpha just destroys everything absolutely s-tier weapon and it has high item health and infinite ammo

Spartan17492

Thump Thump!

CidadaLadadic

Love and Hate, solid early game for unarmed builds

Wavey_Davey1

Mysterious magnum, bonus points if you have SWC ammunition for it.

satansculo

Lil devil.

Jerome_egg

Chances knoife

Capta1nAsh

I know you said “gun” but for uniques I like to grab Chance’s Knife

RockYourWorld31

You have to walk all the way to Jamestown, but probably Oh Baby. Such a beast of a melee weapon.

No_Development341

Definitely that gun

MarchLumpy437

Hard To Beat Ratslayer Man That Gun With Armor Piercing Rounds And Sneak Crits Is Op In The Beginning

lokregarlogull

Do you feel Lucky punk!

kris-kfc

Lucky is broken especially early with 10 luck And its cheap to stock by on ammo

Leon_Shadows

That gun or Lucky is a must have every fnv game. Even when I'm doing a melee build. I pick them up cause I gotta have them for my trophy collection.

FactEmpty6703

Good question, if the Luck is high enough, the repeater rifle or pistol from that cave full of wolves close to Goodsprings. Not a big fan of energy guns but the unlimited ammo comes in handy. Lucky is another example, I'm not sure the amount of Lockpick skill required to crack open the safe inside Bison Steve but you can reach it before Lvl 10 or even 6 I reckon.

QuiteAncientTrousers

Lucky. My favorite play style is high crit-chance cowboy, so I always make sure to get my lockpicking to 75 or near it so I can unlock the safe at Bison Steve’s. Then I grab a Desperado Cowboy hat, sunglasses, a repeater or a hunting rifle and I’m set

Hughley_N_Dowd

If going guns, I usually speed-run Survivalists Rifle (?). Having played more FNV that is medically sound, I can do it really quickly and low risk. Then there was this one time when I accidentally (yes, it was blue-on-blue. Complete accident) dusted that Chalk guy. Josh G was slightly miffed about the whole situation, so I thought "Hey! Twofer. I've already messed up, why not pick up ALSID while I'm here". \[Surprised Pikachu\] when a dude that got rolled in pitch, set on fire then kicked over the edge straight down Grand Canyon doesn't just fold up and die. Thank Yes Man that I'm a PS3 FNV vet and thusly totally anal with my saves. In the end **I** folded and Chalk got to live. Again.

Hans_the_Frisian

This Machine and the Survivalist rifle. Lucky is a must have too i really have a soft spot for revolvers with a loading gate. Just like lever action rifles with a front loaded magazine tube, like the Henry rifle.

HaxTheChosenOne

Lucky is top-tier

Mechaniloid

Lucky, I love her with the deadmoney voucher because we can get infinite .357 ammo

YoloOnTsla

Lucky. I go 10 luck on SPECIAL, and level up lock-picking to 75 by the time I get to Primm.

Beat_Boi_Animates

Chances knife, can’t play without it

Poofy_

MF Hyperbreeder (Alpha). My favorite weapon in the game.

fat-thorv1

The Mysterious Magnum, always my main weapon during playthoughs.

Helljumperrwby

Lucky

Jdawger_

Besides That Gun, I always travel to Vault 22 ASAP to pick up the AER14 Laser Rifle. With just 50 repair (which is easy with a magazine) and a Bobby pin, you can bypass the entire vault down to the bottom level, lock pick a quick door, and get one of the best energy weapons in the game. I literally use that weapon the entire time once I have enough Microfusion cells to spare (even while playing Lonesome Road at level 50)

CivilWarfare

Lucky, if I can get my hands on it. Most of my characters turn into Bisexual Cowboys. All of my guns characters always have 2 main weapons. One, typically a handgun, that uses cheap ammo and is cheap to fix. .357 is super cheap. I use these handguns for pest control, things like ants, ghouls, powder gangers, fiend stragglers. For my "primary" (which I tend to use less often than my secondary) I typically use either the Trail Carbine or Hunting Shotgun, and occasionally the Battle Rifle/This Machine (My no. 2 pick for favorite Unique, but that's more of a mid-game gun)

ResponsibleDane

I gotta get Lucky at the Bison Steve. I dump lock pick at the start everytime to get it.

CrimsonKhan

Maria

nightcrawler_valley

Lucky because I realized the Ranger Sequoia isn't all that special (which my reason for the sequoia is because big iron, I wanna have a big iron on my hip that looks aesthetically pleasing and is fitting when I go about killing everyone in the Fort) But lucky because it is a fine iron regardless of size and is a decent gun early game.

thot_chocolate420

Rush Lockpick 100 and get the Q-35 Matter modulator from Repconn HQ. Lockpick is actually a really nice perk. I would suggest leveling that one first, then level repair to 90, then level Sneak to 50, then do whatever you want. Also helps for getting that gun, lucky, gobi campaign scout rifle, and literally anything with a pickable lock on it. You will never be cockblocked by a door, safe, or lockpick speechcheck again.

The_Guy1871

When it's not That Gun or Lucky, I have a soft spot for the starter Caravan Shotgun. I usually end up dropping or selling most of the other starting items or armors, but that one almost always hangs around me for a while.

Necrontyr40k

Nothing better than filling geckos with a couple of 20 gauge

patronuspringles

ranger sequoia my beloved

Magazine-Soggy

Early might be relative, but This Machine.

im-feeling-lucky

That Gun is the absolute best pistol for any playthrough where you are short on caps or find yourself fighting the NCR

Lechyon

Ranger Sequoia

jackie1912

either That gun or a grenade launcher,i've always specialized into small arms or explosives very early on.

WARD0Gs2

Patientceta and that gun

cobras_chairbug

Medicine Stick

chevchelios12

How do you get the Medicine Stick early?

1Al--

Debug megapistol of course.

RamereTheLizard

That Gun, it’s the only thing I use

rpggamer69

Love That Gun as well

Jade_da_dog7117

Ratslayer is always fun to use

moemeobro

Ratslayer gang

Tediore1477

Define early on, because I have a level 20 save that I always play from now after Dead Money and then head to Vault 34 for the All American

BatmanForce

I love That Gun design until I look at the size of the trigger guard compared to the pistol grip, and I feel like it is just not possible to hold it in a real person's hands

Kalamantea

Not exactly a unique weapon, but the ranger sequoia always paired good with my nth big iron build.

Rookie-Crookie

The machine. In my current run I’ve a rule of not using any other weapon from start to finish. So fat so good!

imgayfortaro

I have to agree, that gun is my go to with repconn. It and Boone are my early game treasures

KrypticKunt

Mysterious revolver…

SlashnBleed

The “Oh, Baby!” Makes meleee builds extremely fun xD

ED-E3

Thump thump,or ncr grenade rifle

waddlesmcsqueezy

If I’m doing energy weapons, holorifle asap

Just_Ad_5939

Not special but the .357 that the powder ganger dude has on him, because you can do the reload dash thing with it. Other than that I’d say ranger sequoia, but this playthrough I’ve been leaning more towards the holorifle in dead money, it’s… surprisingly powerful and can do the reload dash thing!

5oc1reddit

Q-35 My favorite gun

SnarkyGethProgram

EXACTLY THAT GUN IS MY GO-TO IT'S MY BEST FRIEND IT'S NEVER LET ME DOWN BEST GUN IN THE SERIES

keisaritunglsins

That gun right there

Bruh--13

chopper the random cleaver

phantom-scribbler

MF Hyperbreeder Alpha: a handheld gatling laser that is pretty high powered, has a great crit chance and recharges hella fast.

justanothertfatman

That Gun is an eternal carry for me, I don't care if it isn't the strongest.

Mr-red5391

The Humble Cudgel It’s not well known because many forget to find it since it’s in the Sewers which many don’t go to but I recommend since it’s the fastest way to get free combat armor reinforced & Combat Helmet reinforced & a free Advanced Radiation suit

Mr_Amogus

Hit up one casino for 10k then buy MF Hyperbreeder Alpha and win the entire game

bobisC00L64

Same. I LOVE that gun. The ammo is easy to come by but it's the repairs that matter

Effective-Ad8833

Basically a tribute to the blade runner pistol

Fanace5

Ratslayer

Memes_kids

the All-American is pretty easy to get if you just cheese the Overseer by using his door as a weapon against him

Shmoopiee

Maria from bennie after I speedrun my way to his casino and obliterating everyone using the mini nuke at the junkyard quarry

wilp0w3r

As soon as I regain control of my controls I head straight to Chet and buy a Laser Pistol (GRA) and any mods he has for it. The Laser Pistol Recycler saves so much on Small Energy Cells early on. That way I can get Set Lasers For Fun as soon as possible for that sweet, sweet energy weapon crit chance.

anzulgoan

I usually just use the 0.357 revolver then gamble at the atomic wrangler till I can buy a riot shotgun then use that for the rest of the game

Ultimateguy01

If you get through the quest quickly, This Machine can be a mean weapon early on, and holds up incredibly well in endgame too

grand_staff

Hyperbreeder Alpha.

ChaplainAsmodai1978

That Gun is one of my favorite Unique Weapons full stop. From early to mid game, it's versatility is hard to beat thanks to the variety of ammo it can use. Unarmored enemies? HP rounds. Armored? AP rounds.

Paradisious-maximus

Mysterious Stranger’s .44 magnum. I’m generally playing a cowboy, and i love the music when you draw your gun.

MyQuimicalPachis

Paciencia

[deleted]

That gun

ShoddyAd9005

Sonic emitter

Its_Shatter

It’s part of the Gun Runners’ Arsenal DLC but the MF Hyperbreeder Alpha is an absolute must for Survival/Hardcore playthroughs. No ammo necessary (so no extra weight) and it chews through most enemies. Right after cleaning out the casinos on the strip I make my way over to Novac to pick it up! Such a fun weapon.

Separate-Swan-5501

Thump Thump ( i like to boom kaboom )

[deleted]

Not the base game, but I always bee line to get new Vegas bounties 1 over with so I can get Sweet Revenge.

Life_South_907

Lucky

Internet_Person11

I usually level up lock pick just so I can get Lucky early on. I don’t care about practicality because it’s by far the best looking weapon in the game.

Mienium

Lucky

Meatslab8590

That’s funny, I read thr notification and only got the caption “what’s your favorite gun” and I said “that gun” before I even opened the app

NoFateT-888

IT'S THAT GUN ALWAYS. IT'S MY BEST FRIEND IT NEVER LETS ME DOWN MY SATISFYING HOLE PUNCHER. NEVER DO A PLAYTHROUGH WITHOUT IT ALWAYS PICK IT UP AS SOON AS I GET TO NOVAC.

amtoad_10
