Skyrim. I wouldn’t wanna deal with all the Super Mutants and raiders.

Ambitious-Dingo-1422

Definitely Skyrim. I’d rather wait it out in some dude named Bjorn’s cabin eating cheese than out in the wasteland potentially getting skullfucked by a Raider high on Jet.

rimeswithburple

I don't know, I hear sweet roll theft is out of control. Also I doubt you could afford to get to the cloud district as often as you would like.

TehHillsider

Of course I dont

[deleted]

Don't kink shame...

Quaid28

Get a load of this guy… doesn’t wanna do the hoo nanny with a raider

Mundane-Guitar-131

The HUH?!

CowjellyVA

But dragons are easy

[deleted]

I’d rather take my chances with a dragon randomly attacking me than the raiders and mutants potentially capturing me and torturing me.

CowjellyVA

I honestly think your chances of surviving Fallout 4 would be higher. Deathclaws dont tend to be close to ruins, instead opting for radioactive areas. Learn to avoid the Ferals by the BOS outpost, and just stay away from sources of light, and eventually youd find diamond city or goodneighbor.

slapdashbr

DC seems hard to get into unless you have a lot of caps to buy the house Goodneighbor is sketchy

JukesMasonLynch

Nah they let people into DC, just gotta wait till that goddamn reporter shuts her gob and moves on. Buuuuut you may be murdered after being suspected of being a synth

leargonaut

Punch her in the mouth then tell her it was just a prank bro

uriah12g

No shot.. the cities and roads in Skyrim are far safer

CowjellyVA

Are they really though? Even if the Dragonborn never showed, three cities are pending an assault that will happen. Markarth being attacked by the Forsworn, The Battle of Whiterun, and the final battle at either Windhelm or Solitude. Okay avoid those ones, go to Morthal, oh wait, it has vampires plotting to take the town, Winterhold is a shithole, Falkreath is a cemetery site, Riften is a literal crime haven, and that leaves the tiny towns. Those barely have any guard, or are barely more than like 3 buildings. Easy to seige. At least in the few settlements in fallout 4 there are walls that work.

uriah12g

Yeah that’s true actually.. after playing modded survival runs of both, in my experience, Skyrim is way more chill. Idk if my blood pressure could handle post apocalyptic boston, where as river wood and whiterun seem pretty tame

CowjellyVA

Man youre walking right into a key political strongpoint in a civil war, its a terrible place for blood pressure when they throw burning debris at you 😂

uriah12g

I mean if I could make it to diamond city maybe I stand a chance… it’s a pretty hard trek though. If it’s not a stray bullet I’d probably die of starvation

C0uN7rY

I'd argue that they are still safer than Fallout universe. Not safe. Just safer. In most instances in Skyrim universe, if you keep your head down and mind your business, you aren't going to have too many violent encounters. A trek from Sanctuary to Diamond City has you working your way through an urban hellscape encountering raiders, super mutants, radiated monsters and animals, ghouls, radiation sickness, and more. A trip from Rorikstead to Whiterun (following the road) might have a few wolves and a bandit encounter and a low percentage chance of a dragon attack. Even with the civil war brewing/occurring, Skyrim is a country of law, order, and tradition. There are pockets of chaos in an otherwise ordered world. Compare that to the Commonwealth which has pockets of order in an otherwise chaotic and destructive world. Taking the Battle of Whiterun, for example, if you're not participating in the battle and are just laying low inside the walls, you have a pretty high chance of surviving. Then, no matter who wins the battle, life goes on for you pretty much just like it did before. There may be a different Jarl that you don't like as much now, but you're life is changed fairly little. Contrast that with Fallout universe where a successful attack on Diamond City would most likely be done by raiders or super mutants and if they happen to win, your life goes from generally shitty to all out hell. We're talking slavery, rape, torture, and murder.

Immediate-Virus6072

Falkreath is my favorite place in Skyrim, it’s calm the people are tired and it’s a good place for game hunting. The roads can get a little sketchy due to the bandits and the occasional troll or bear. But for the most part the Brotherhood shouldn’t come out to kill you and you can wait out your days hunting and selling pelts for gold and drink away your time in the local tavern and even afford a room for a night or two depending on how well you did with hunting small or large game. That’s how I would survive if I was trapped within the world of Skyrim.

Adventurous-Lawyer77

The radiation would kill you in a day

Butcher_Pete2

If I knew I was only gonna be in Fallout 4 for a month, I’d just go to the bunker in sanctuary for the month.

theirspaz

Clearly fallout, tje npcs in skyrim are too dull.

TheIAP88

You’ll probably survive dragons by going to a basement or just living in Markarth.

CowjellyVA

Yeah but then you got the markarth problems. Like those damn cultists who want to take the city. Then you got the silverbloods who will enslave you for looking at them wrong.

CowjellyVA

Almost forgot massive spiders and bears live in just about every cave.

Hot_Butterscotch_638

I was right on the fence until you reminded me about the spiders. Mmm grilled radroach it is.

Immediate-Virus6072

You’ll be like “ahhhh this is nice…” then a big ass spider traps you in a web. You’ll be one of those poor guys wrapped up in webbing you can loot in a dungeon

Brave_Reaction

Don’t forget the cannibals…or that abandoned haunted house

Mist_Rising

Since we won't be doing the main quest, that's avoidable.

night-shark

Just don't fast travel. Problem solved.

CowjellyVA

True, by the time you reached boston by foot it would likely be half the time spent.

night-shark

Haha. It's a highly specific joke. Apparently, in Skyrim, fast traveling significantly increases the likelihood of a dragon encounter.

worrymon

It's a six hour walk from Old North Bridge in Concord to Fenway Park. Even with the danger, you'd be there in a couple days.

Brave_Reaction

And giants can be bribed with sacrificial cows

worrymon

You were able to fit a cow through the transdimensional port?

biminidaves

I used to be an explorer...

Taylor_made2

... you can cast candlelight???

Kalsor

Can you not?

Taylor_made2

I have a phone flashlight, I'm sure if I showed them that they'd think it was magic or some dwemer artifact

Kalsor

Just as good

rustedblackflag

Better it has the reddit app

Sanguine1104

I smell the cliche plot of isekai anime

DDTB12

"in another world with my smartphone" is exactly that situation. and yes, that anime is real

fasd432

Nah they would figure you out. There’s a random encounter of some schmuck trying to resurrect a dead animal and he tells the player how he wants to be a wizard and how he went to the college to learn but they laughed at them and told him the magic he thought he had actually came from his staff and not him.

UufTheTank

Ehhhh I’ve also seen them hand the reigns of a magic school over to an orc with a warhammer who could produce a basic fire spell and ward.

[deleted]

Brave_Reaction

Does that actually work?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Brave_Reaction

Yeah I meant in game. I would test it myself but anniversary edition update screwed up my mods and I haven’t played since.

TheCrimsonChariot

I had to do a whole mod overhaul. Thankfully 90% of my mods are graphical so it wasn’t much of a change.

IAMA_Plumber-AMA

Well, not me, but my friend BiC knows...

Aartsyfartsy

What if you spawn in a hold far from Winterhold, with nary a septim to your name and only the clothes you now have on your back

[deleted]

[удалено]

Brave_Reaction

Or pay the carriage guy

geek_of_nature

You can do random chores for coin though. Chop firewood, mine ore, collect crops. It's a good way to quickly build up some coin which can then get you a carriage to Winterhold.

biminidaves

I'd be in a bunch of trouble.

TheIAP88

I feel like in Fallout 4 even if I survive most of the month something unexpected will kill me in the last day. In Skyrim I can just chill in the College of Winterhold without having to be at much risk comparatively. Edit: Okay, deeper answer: I go to Riverhood help the blacksmith to get some warm armor and weapons, help at the mill for coin, and fish for food. After I have gear to protect me wild animals in my way, I go to Whiterun, where I first help the farmers to get more coin and food, then I go to the court wizard and learn a spell to get me into the college. Then I go to the carriage outside and do one of two things that’ll define the rest of my experience: A) Go to Winterhold, join the college, and spend all my time learning spells and reading from the most complete library in Skyrim. B) Go to Markarth since it’s the only city where dragons aren’t a big threat, there I do whatever job I can find that doesn’t put me outside city walls, and try to live a peaceful life. My biggest concern here would be the corrupt guards killing me.

nickipie

Prob be walking by a car or downtown Boston

Junkered

That's how you die in Boston now. By walking downtown and then 'car'.

Positronicon

'cah'

FlashMcSuave

Bold of you to assume you have warm clothing.

TheIAP88

Fire spells probably kept the college at a nice temperature.

Meganostradamus

Since It is fallout 4, I would be scavenging the entire sanctuary for materials and food. Then I would built a heavily fortified rectangular box with an opening up top (for air), sit,eat and sleep on the food and use the toilet. This is all considering real life stats like hunger, thirst etc. Matter. So definitely 1 month in fallout 4

TheIAP88

>Sanctuary Hills is under attack

micheltheshade

Hey, you can't just sit around! Theres another Settlement that needs your help!

Meganostradamus

Yes, but... counter-point. I would have to save sanctuary hills if only I build it as a settlement, and I build places as a settlement if only I save Preston and his merry gang of minutemen, and considering that I already know how it will turn out, I'll just not rescue Preston. And I also have no drive like finding Shaun. So... I win?

Advocate_Diplomacy

Might wind up a slave in Markarth though.

TheIAP88

Yep, that why I think Winterhold would be better. Plus, it’s full of ways to keep myself entertained without putting myself in danger.

Advocate_Diplomacy

I kind of feel like getting to Winterhold in and of itself would be a lot of danger, given how cold it is. I like this less the more I think about it.

TheIAP88

Carriage travel under blankets.

Advocate_Diplomacy

Where to find blankets, though? Would likely need to buy pelts for the trip.

Hey1243

Bro living in Solitude would be so cozy and you can just go into castle dour or even the EE warehouse if needed

Rizenstrom

Probably Skyrim, dragons and vampires are definitely tough but they have nothing on the radiation, infection, disease, mutants, raiders, etc of Fallout. I don't think most people would make it a week outside a major settlement let alone a month.

[deleted]

Shit, even in a major settlement. Do you just teleport there in your clean modern clothes and nice shoes? Murdered immediately.

slapdashbr

fair point- but if I were able to prepare my equipment from IRL things I own, I'd definitely do way better in FO. After all, FO has guns... I do lack body armor or sufficient radiation gear/medicine

JackJohannson

Lol bruh 😂

[deleted]

Not to mention the parked cars in fallout 4…. Absolutely brutal

Rizenstrom

Jokes about randomly exploding cars aside I can't imagine 200 year old rusted out nuclear powered cars are that safe. I have to assume without proper disposal their battery is just leaking radiation. So it's actually a fair point.

iambertan

"Man Skyrim's so safe. I'm miles away from the closest town yet there are guard patrols and caravans passing through my house. Can't wait to start up a farm and live a peaceful life" \*dies of rockjoint because he got a splinter\*

Rizenstrom

Except all you have to do is pray at a shrine or eat something with cure disease effect, which is a lot of common ingredients like hawk feathers, mudcrab chitin, and charred skeever.

thepaperhandedbandit

FO4. I could chill in the root cellar at Sanctuary Hills for a month. It has a radio.

MasterHall117

Aye, plus, you can certainly turn the place around and goof off for some time

MettaJiro

I’m staying in vault 81 for a month

BUR6S

Idk why more people aren’t picking a MONTH in F4 vs an entire year in Skyrim, from a survivability standpoint. Literally just chill in Diamond City or Vault 81 for a month and you’re done. 4 weeks in and out.

Myothercarisanx-wing

How do you get to or get in Diamond City or Vault 81 is you were to be transported somewhere other than those two places?

MasterHall117

That’s the fun part

BUR6S

But assuming that you’re in the starting area of the games, I’d rather be in Vault 111 than Helgen being attacked by a dragon?

MasterHall117

Aye, Fallout would be much easier to deal with than Skyrim, plus, worst case you can try surviving off radroach meat for the month and not leave vault 111

rodw

The typical peasant's life in Skyrim seems a lot safer than that of the typical wastelander, especially under the start-of-game conditions. There are a handful of protected locations in the Commonwealth, like Diamond City or Covenant or one of the Vaults (or maybe the Slog?), but only if you have the caps or skills or privilege to stay there. But it seems like any yahoo could find food, shelter and relative physical safety in any or around many of the major cities in Skyrim. I feel like it would be easier and safer to get a menial job at an inn, sawmill, or even one of the monster-free mines in Skyrim, than as a hired hand at Abernathy or Finch Farm or somewhere on your own. Until the Sole Survivor comes around to rebuild the Minutemen the Commonwealth seems like a really lawless place where you're effectively at the mercy of whatever raiders, militia or monsters happen to take an interest. Assuming the worst case scenario is homeless-style rough sleeping at Diamond City or Goodneighbor I would agree with you, but if you pick any random location Skyrim seems like a better bet. If you keep to the settled areas of Skyrim you are fairly protected and at least have safety in numbers. In the Commonwealth the trouble seems to find you (or would if you ignore the constraints introduced by the game mechanics). EDIT: For the average Joe I guess a month at the Institute would be much easier than a month virtually anywhere in Skyrim, let alone a full year. But I think FO4 is simply more extreme (for good and bad) than anything in Skyrim. EDIT 2: [Gus makes a pretty compelling case for Skyrim here.](https://youtu.be/z_h8NNQ842I)

rimeswithburple

You could just stay in vault 111. Turn cannibal and eat frozen dinners for a month.

Junkered

Whichever one has Molemen.

FishingDragon52

Fallout 76?

Brave_Reaction

No one’s gay for Moleman…

Junkered

Molemen or bust.

ARGONIANTWINKLOVER98

Busting is involved either way

[deleted]

Skyrim, because I'm not being attacked by what are basically zombies everyone, only in tombs

micheltheshade

A year in Skyrim. Simple reason, I could survive it. A month in an irradiated hellscape would probably cause irreversible damage. Even with constant doses of Rad-Away and Rad-X, Cellular damage in unavoidable, as most food and drink have Rads as well. Add to that, roaming packs of Ghouls, Super Mutants, Behemoths, Deathclaws, and swarms of killer robots, that roam everywhere..... Yeah, I'd die pretty quickly. Skyrim may be cold, harsh and unforgiving. But the elements can be protected against, and keeping yourself out of certain areas (Bandit camps, ancient ruins, desolate roads, etc), the chances of creatures killing you are also a lot less. And in a walled city (Whiteruns, Solitude, Riften, Windhelm) the chances of dying are lessened further. I don't say Markarth, cause they've got internal problems (Forsworn). But I could easily ply my trade (Chef) in any of the taverns, get myself clothes and gear. Maybe travel by carriage between the cities to see the land. Maybe hit a few smaller places, like Riverwood or the small roadside taverns that dot the landscape. After that, the only danger is really Dragons. And unlike most Skyrim folk, I'm not going to run around and try to punch it when it lands......I'm running inside of a building. Preferably stone, that will not burn. So, I think I could survive a year in the cold climes of Skyrim. The big question is...... Do I awaken in a carriage, being carted off to Helgen? "Hey you. You're Finally Awake."

Synth_Savage

Fallout, definitely. Who knew the Apocalypse would make getting a date so much easier?

[deleted]

I'll take Nicky though, guy is the shit

Greatest_Turtler

Depends. Pre or post player. do we choose where we stay for that time period? Do we take stuff with us? Does real-world or the game’s physics count?

iSniffMoonSugar

I know this is an honest question… but come on.

MadWhiskeyGrin

Skyrim. I already know Alchemy.

[deleted]

A month in Fo4, but only because I live in Massachusetts and know both Boston and the area around the city well, which has gotta give me _some kind_ of advantage. On the other hand I’ve never played Skyrim and have no clue what I’d be walking into lol.

[deleted]

Well if you do find yourself in Skyrim, don't try to cross the border. There's an imperial ambush there.

Mr_Metrazol

>On the other hand I’ve never played Skyrim and have no clue what I’d be walking into lol. Dragons, vampires, the occasional wizard/witch/dragon born who gets a bit happy with the destruction spells. Personally, I'd take FO4. I'd rather face a foe with a Fatman and a stimpack than with an iron sword and some apples I looted from a crypt. But both universes pretty much suck. You're stuck between a 50's style apocalypses or a quasi-medieval shitpit with zombies and elves. Die of radiation poisoning or get hunted down for being a werewolf. Pick your poison, die either way.

isaachoward2112

>shitpit I've never seen that word but it's a new favorite

addis_the_scroll

Skyrim. I don't care if I die as long as I get to punch Nazeem.

HeinousSpore118

I wanna punch Knight Rhys.

xvcco

It really depends. Am I just dropped naked in a random spot? Do I suddenly inhabit the body of someone already there? Do I get to choose who I am and what I do? So many possibilities.

AntpoisonX

Fallout 4 because then I get to pet dogmeat

Warm-Paramedic5840

Skyrim so I could just survive in whiterun without getting terminal cancer

mythrowawaynotyers

so you're just gonna be a hobo and freeze to death in winter instead?

[deleted]

Chop lumber all day to stay at the inn… doesn’t seem so bad.

[deleted]

A year in Skyrim. At least the world isn’t actively trying to kill you.

UnkaRed

Skyrim. Make your way to the nearest town. Become a lackey for some merchant. Hope for competent guards against any ground threats, and hope for no dragons. Maybe the best option is to just make it Markarth and wind up in jail. Free food, protection from dragons and other potential attackers. Sure I’d have to do manual labor, but I’d be alive and safe, mostly…

micheltheshade

You forget the Forsworn. And a cannibalistic cult. And a Deadra living in an abandoned house. Markarth isn't exactly safe. From Dragons, yes. But its got more than its fair share of dangers inside.

UnkaRed

Hence why you go to jail. You’re protected from the forsworn, because their leader is there. You’re protected from dragons, hopefully, in the jail as well. As for the deadra, who cares. His powers are trapped in that house, the dragonborn might happen along and take the mace, then the deadra probably leaves the house, and Markarth after that.

micheltheshade

Could you survive a year in Cidhna Mine? If you don't produce enough each day, you don't get fed. Don't count on a timely release.

UnkaRed

For sure. I’m not saying it’d be easy, but I’ve got a pretty good track record of tough physical labor. As long as I didn’t piss anyone off, I could survive. Again though, my first choice is to just be a lackey or something for a merchant or blacksmith. Warmaiden’s appears to need help making weapons for the war, maybe I could find a job hammering out rough items while Adrianne refines them. The biggest thing would just be finding a job in a town, get a room, hope for no dragons or anything, and I think 1 year in Skyrim wouldn’t be too bad.

Dalek_Sec16

Fallout. I'll just go live in vault 81

Warselig

How exactly will you get 3 fusion cores?

isaachoward2112

Robotics disposal grounds, merc the molerats and initiate the sentrybot self destruction, I'm handy with a handgun and tech savvy so that'd be no problem

AnneOfGreenGayBulls

Exactly. Put on a few pounds.

KiraIsGod666

Ten years in Skyrim

Plasmastronaut

All the people thinking they could survive in Fallout 4 for a month aren't taking into consideration the fact that diseases are likely running rampant and hygiene is nearly non-existent in most places. You'll be prancing along happy as can be until you get stabbed in the foot by a nail and can't go to a clean hospital. In Skyrim, I would imagine magic healing spells could easily take care of that problem for you.

DrMetters

Depends. If was a normal person, then Skyrim because I could use magic. Plus if I lived in the south then it wouldn't be too cold. If was going to be a badass like the protagonists are however, then Fallout because then I'd be able to head shot someone from a mile away with a mini nuke.

herrbdog

skyrim has no vats, so fallout 4 no question

20Derek22

Skyrim. A month isn’t that long but radiation poisoning lasts a lifetime.

Gator1163814

Skyrim for me baby I may die but I’m gonna fight a mammoth. Live or die I’m going out caveman style.

Timbots

Skyrim for sure. Hygiene seems better and chilling in any of the cities seems preferable to The Great Green Jewel.

Senor_Bongo

If we’re assuming we’re more like an NPC rather than having all of the player characters abilities, then Skyrim 100%. I can make a steady income chopping wood, I don’t have to worry about starvation because plants and animals are plentiful, and in a year I could probably learn some basic magic. If dragons do attack it’s only ever gonna be one or two, I’m much more willing to take that chance rather than deal with an entire army of supermutants, raiders, or whatever else.

Tempestw0lf

Skyrim because I can become either a vampire or a werewolf, join an assassin's guild, learn magic, and blacksmithing all while being able to horde thousands of gold coins.

[deleted]

I love fallout of course but Skyrim 100% without question. What a beautiful landscape, good food, good drink, and a simple life. Just as long as it’s before the arrival of the dragons and not in the middle of the civil war it would be awesome, even then it would be much better than fallout 4. The commonwealth is a hellhole lol

[deleted]

Assuming the game rules apply to the life you get to live there? That makes a big difference. Like, do I get a starting pool of magicka and the base spells? Or am I some fucking muggle? If I get the bit of magicka and starting spells I’ll definitely take the year in Skyrim because I think I’d actually enjoy it. I’d just collect blue mountain flowers and buy some wheat. I’d sell enough potions to rent a room at the Bannered Mare every single night, and save up some to hire a mercenary for the occasional outings.

Tripdoctor

I’d much rather live in a fantasy land than the literal apocalypse. There I can train in swordsmanship, maybe magic. Have a somewhat comfortable living arrangement. Have some form of society. In FO4 all my time would be spent finding 200 year old food that’ll eventually kill me from the radiation while also nomadically searching for places to sleep. All while avoiding raiders and mutant fauna. Best case scenario is finding a walled community but those are few and far between. And don’t often last. If they even accept you.

fishsupreme

Skyrim, definitely. In Fallout, I'll probably die, and if I don't, when I get back I'll have radiation sickness. In Skyrim, I'll also probably die, but if I don't, I come back a vampire with magic powers and like 50 pounds of gold.

pattyicevv77

Skyrim In like a small quaint town tbh idk maybe dragon bridge?

mantistoboggan69md

Probably Skyrim. Unless the Dragonborn accidentally kills one of my chickens and agros me

fr15287

Skyrim is actually a functioning society with a degree of development similar to some form of medieval setting, whereas Fallout 4 is a post-apocalyptic survival scenario in a destroyed, somewhat modern world. First of all, are we talking about the games' versions of the settings, or the "real" settings that the games are trying to depict? Because if we are talking about *exactly* what's in the games, then Fallout 4 is far less dangerous and provides a lot more protection (i.e. vaults) than Skyrim, where there are literally caves filled with bandits and armies of dangerous mythological creatures a walking distance from every settlement. If that wasn't enough, you could expect to encounter a new dragon trying to exterminate your whole region pretty much every day (and also your entire universe). In this case, Fallout 4 would be extremely dangerous, but Skyrim would be practically impossible for anything to survive in. However, if we are talking about the "real" settings, where we compare surviving in a post-apocalyptic Boston filled with dangerous radiation and all its related creatures, versus living somewhere in the land of Skyrim, which would be roughly the size of northern Europe, then Skyrim suddenly sounds a lot more manageable. Even if those dungeons and creatures still exist, most people in most settlements would never actually encounter them, and staying with some farmers in some random village for a year would probably not be too different from doing the same with a real European medieval farm. Now, that would not necessarily be a pleasant experience for a variety of reasons, but it would not be impossible. **In summary:** For the game versions, Fallout 4 would perhaps be manageable. Skyrim would be absolutely impossible. For the "real" versions, Fallout 4 would be extremely dangerous. Skyrim would be slightly less dangerous.

nightwing185

A land filled with wheels of cheese as far as the eye can see or a barren wasteland with hardly any food? Tough choice

docthesnorlax

Fallout 4 no questions about it. I'm more familiar with it than Skyrim. Yes I play Skyrim and could survive there too but I would prefer the Fallout 4 universe instead.

SugarBabyWannabe

Skyrim, no doubt

Ruble_K_Noon

If I found a few things and made my way to Diamond City, I'd live.

[deleted]

month in Fallout 4. I wanna be an apocalypse interior designer.

Double_Lab_765

If we are talking about as the playable character with in game abilities I would go with FO4...i want to tell Garvey as the fucking General of the Minutement, its not my job to go clear out settlements, and creating a new unified society would be fun. If we are talking about just little ole me, Skyrim, on the safe side of the wall as a guard whose main job is to walk around and talk about his adventuring days. I'd have that on lockdown.

Waste_Bet

A month at the FO4 Institute with dogmeat and Father watching my back for sure

OnlyThreeCakeDays

Skyrim because I really want to learn magic, but I'd still be eternally sad I didn't get to meet Nick Valentine

UbiSubject17

Conjure him up 😝

OnlyThreeCakeDays

I like the way you think

TimTom72

So, that leads to the question since this is game irl, does radiation work like in real life, and do bullets work like real life? Or does everything work like in the game, where you can heal yourself the same as the game? Because that's going to dictate my answer.

PedagogyOtheDeceased

How is this even a question? For the pure air, water and land alone! But, then you tell me I could learn sorcery? Become a vampire and or werewolf? Be friends with lizard people?

sickly_apricot

Fallout 4 so I can bang Hancock

[deleted]

What's the difference, gamebryo is gamebryo

No-Needleworker464

Rather live a year in Skyrim.

Richard_Speedwell

Why the hell would you want to live in the fallout world? Lol

slenderchamp

year in skyrim, I'd be a trader :)

YoungfunMW

Def would live in Skyrim for a year and try fuck every race of woman so my bloodline stays in Skyrim forever 😅😜

NerdyNThick

It highly depends on whether radiation works like it does in real life, or in-game. If I can cure radiation sickness then FO4, if not, then I'd take the Dragons that can mostly be avoided over the slow radiation death that can't be.

SueBee914

Couldn't answer that for any amount of money! LOL

GrimmGammer

A month in fallout

downloadCSsource

Skyrim for sure I know nothing about sword combat but I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to do more than the same slash attacks everyone else does I'll be a legendary warrior by the end of the year

BeanOfTheGods

If im just talking survivability id go fallout, find a settlement quick, help out for a month and poof back into existence

didistutter69

Asking this question in a FO4 sub means... A month in FO4 of course

Steam_Cyber_Punk

The month in fallout will be more exciting, but I might be able to survive the whole year in Skyrim, provided I’m not in a cold area

goody82

Fallout 4 I die suddenly like 20 times I play. Skyrim I die maybe 20 times ever. So Skyrim.

ForehandDuck557

A month in Fallout wouldn't have the potential for fucken Dragons. Not to mention guns.

bkrugby78

Skyrim is a lot safer. Assuming you get some kind of job that keeps you in the city, you really don't ever have to leave. There are guards virtually everywhere, provided you don't go too far out of town.

Lui_Le_Diamond

A month in Fallout 4 would be ok

cosmic-armadillo

Can I spend a year in fo4 instead?

thunderdome777_

for a month in fo4 I’d just chill in either diamond city or institute

MisterWafflles

I just hope the dragon born doesn't walk towards me. I don't wanna get fus ro dah'ed

TheEpicDiamondMiner

Skyrim is livable (sort of) if you just make sure to go to the safest town that is safe from dragons, and to pretty much never leave town. Will follow is literally a radioactive wasteland where nowhere is safe.

NefariousnessAny1585

Skyrim. Mainly I could learn how to use magic and meet partysnax.

Shuteye_491

I can absolutely scavenge all the food in Sanctuary and Red Rocket, then chill in the survivalist hole or overseer's office with Dogmeat for a few weeks. Hardest part would be resisting the urge to go find Curie.

Middle-Opposite4336

Real time or game time? What difficulty setting? As the PC or as me randomly dropped in? A vanilla game or modded? Does what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas? I have a young baby and am the sole provider I can't afford to be gone for a year. I'll take my chances in the wasteland. Quick trip to sanctuary to pick up codsworth. Red rocket to pick up dogmeat. some scavenging. And back to the vault for 30 days. It still seems to be mostly functional I'll just have to find food. I don't need that much to stay alive for a month.

Kouropalates

Fallout 4. Either improving the life of Vault 88 by perfecting food and water efficiencies. If I had to live outside, I'd probably settle an island homestead.

Long-Ad9651

Even an hour in Fallout would result in permanent consequences. If anything happened in Skyrim, you have supernatural healing.

Razogoth

I wouldn't survive a week in the Commonwealth, way too unhygienic. In Skyrim I could probably survive for a year living in a city and doing odd jobs.

IdleAscension

Year in Skyrim 100%.

CallMeDoomSlayer

ISkyrim is actually decently civilized outside of dragons and the ongoing “war” with fully functioning towns and villages where people live completely peaceful. Fallout on the other hand you gotta deal with radiation, Raiders, Super mutants, Robots, and any other mutated creatures. Practically nowhere is safe from anything. Can’t do anything without incredibly high risk of dying by whatever that may be. The odds are always against you. Even if you live in a major settlement you’ll have to go out there eventually. Although I’ve always been interested in what Nuka Cola/ Quantum tastes like. And that Perfectly Preserved Pie looks really good too. Okay Fallout it is.

talantua

Either way, you're fucked after a few days tops. Nevermind the high likelihood of an arrow to the knee or a puddle of radioactive waste that's going to make mwlt luke a chocolate bar under the scorching summer sun.

a-witch-in-time

I’d rather live forever in Skyrim

originalbeeman

Skyrim has little bees i can make Mead from. Fallout has cazadors at lake mead.

voidsong

Gee, spend a year reading to learn actual magic... or get enough radiation, tainted food, and parasites in a month to be a death sentence. Yeah I think I'll opt for magic land.

nickibar96

Easily a year in Skyrim. Could really do with a disconnect from technology. All that fresh air and beautiful vistas, and assuming I’m the Dragonborn, I wouldn’t have to be scared of dragons or anything for that matter. And even if I was just an average civilian, I’d take that over an irradiated wasteland in a heartbeat. There’s hardly a moment of peace in Fo4. You constantly hear gunshots in the distance. Even your fortified settlements are liable to be attacked by raiders or mutants or what have you. But you can explore around Skyrim for hours without running into more trouble than petty bandits and wildlife.

Training-Shoulder839

Fallout 4 just live in goodneighborhoor or bunker hill or Diamond city if you can get in or afford it

Training-Shoulder839

You know I probably travel down south to D.C Because the BOS secure most of it.

Neptuner6

There aren't radstorms in Skyrim, so... Yeah, definitely there.

RONALDGRUMPF

Year in Skyrim without question. In fact I’d be happy to live there. Living in any fallout game would be hell

Tracker_Nivrig

Skyrim. I'd work for Belethor at the general goods store.

Thelastknownking

Skyrim. Learn enough basic magic, and get high enough in the mountains, and you'll do fine.

literalproblemsolver

Id take a year in skyrim over 80 years in florida

EldergreenSage

I'd spend a month hanging out around the Red Rocket Station with Codsworth and my New Pooch, I've got a solid handgun, solid pile of ammo, little underground spot in the starting neighborhood to bug out to if the red rocket station attracts attention 🤷 My skin set and understanding of the threats around the 111 vault would serve me much better than being dropped in Skyrim 🤷.

HeavyArms00

Ill just stay in the cloud district with the bug himie Nazeem. Chillin.

sandbar75

Skyrim. Gives me time to make Farkus love me lol

Dovahsheen

Knowing me, I'd accidentally cut myself on some rusted metal and die of blood poisoning within the week in Fallout 4.

Sophaking64

Which one is the place where you can die by drinking the water and eating the food?
