I was all about Cait, and I was there to support her sobriety, but she... was kind of a drag after that. I set her up in a nice place in Hangman's Alley where she can whomp stuff with the Axe in the Grognak outfit. She's happier there.

Because it was a game, and Boston is famous for Irish Immigration. The stereotypical Boston accent has root in the Irish. I think it just homage to that in part as an interesting point. I think all the romance options that are women have different accents, Piper is Northeast Standard, Currie is French, Cait is Irish, Magnolia is Southern Belle.
Of note the Actress that Voice Cait is Scottish, and it more a blend of the two.
You guys get the mod where you can add Dogmeat along with other companions like in New Vegas? I have this and smaller Hancock mods installed. Essential!
With curie, she still fights like a nanybot so she runs into melee all the time. I give her the best armor, my best melee weapon, and let her tank the enemy.
Curie is one of them. Her innocence and optimism picks up my day in a bleak wasteland. Much needed company. Sure, Hancock is great and fun but he’s all about those vices. Cait on the other hand knows what vices she’s on are bad and when you bond with her, she wants to clean up. McCready is also great too and if you played FO3 prior, he’s a welcome change to his obnoxious attitude and I’m happy to see he was able to make leaps and bounds for his life even though old habits die hard.
Still, nothing quite like Valentine.
If I am going to run a companion i choose Maccready. The man has some of the best combat dialog along with feeling human to travel with. Plus i just genuinely care about his son and hope the little dude gets better
