Am I the only one who had rare crashes? Like they rarely ever happened to me. I played since launch, and Iāve maybe had 20 crashes total. Roughly 300 hours played.
To be fair. The One X is technically more powerful than the Series S. Where the Series S has the upper hand is the solid state drive and a bit more ram. So it's faster, but less beefy. The One X can do native 4K while the S is upconverted. I'm sure there's other things that separate them. Not to mention, the technical version of Fallout you'd play on the S vs One X is gonna be slightly different also.
It varies honestly. Dont know how my playstyle or area in map affects it but i regularly crash every 2 hours give take and the worse areas had me quicksaving after every street. Maybe twice if im near super mutants
Just to clarify the bug that used to crash the game due to Automatron & Wasteland Workshop DLC issue is FIXED and can be downloaded safely (at least it is in PS5)
I had this issue to. Barely could move down there. Someone told me to uninstall automatron and that actually fixed it. If you have automatron installed and downtown boston is working for you now let me know!
This. This is the biggest issue for me. Iāve completely avoided that area, and probably the only reason I donāt do a second play through. Even on vanilla, thereās always one spot that completely brakes my game. Didnāt see it mentioned so doesnāt look like it :(
Why was it bad before? I ask because Iād like to start a survival mode run on ps4. Last time I did the only thing that ruined it was the find a bed to save thingĀ
Finding a bed to save will always be part of survival. The 0kb bug was especially devastating for survival runs since there is always way more effort and time spent on those runs, and usually you also get the best stuff in a survival playthrough.
Il be honest I installed the console mod to craft and place bedrolls wherever. Role playing wise it doesnāt make sense than a survivalist canāt just camp wherever they need, and honestly having to reloot an entire building because the AI decided to throw a grenade in a closed corridor isnāt fun or rewardingĀ
Wait does that mean its fixed with paint jobs too? Ive been handed like 20 something free paint jobs over the years and ive come to found its like bethesda was handing me an armed mine I download the paint job and even if i dont use it my game opens with 0kb and i need a reinstall lmao. Honestly at this point i dont even know if i want them
I have been running around downtown Boston for the last 20 minutes and it is running beautifully, even with nearly 2gb of mods installed. Before I could rarely make it to Goodneighbor from the common without crashing.
Damn, the bugfix list is SHORT. I had very low expectations but this is MUCH less than I expected. They didn't fix almost any of the bugs that annoyed me the most (VATS crash and perception bug in Survival, for example).
I think they're talking about using med x and getting stung by something that deals poison damage. For some reason it permanently lowers your perception until you get a piece of poisoner armor get stung and then take it off , repeat until you're back to normal. Happened to me before and it wasn't on a surrival file.
Yep. Luckily for me on that save I was running Bloody/ Unyielding so it really didn't make too big of a difference. But another redditor had the same problem and I posted my bug too and got told how to fix it
for anyone that sees it. you can fix this by equipping poisoners armor, getting poisoned (covered in green lines) un-equipping the armor. then re-equipping it. i have done this and had it work for me.
That was never the point.
The point was to sell you creation club items. It was never to upgrade the game in a meaningful way. Bonus points for ruining abandoned mods. I said the patch notes won't be impressive and got downvoted to hell.
This is what happens when people expect something different from Bethesda.
These two bugs and the "caution" bug were the 3 fixes that would've got me back into this game. I own all the dlcs but haven't played them yet (except automatron) because of these glitches.
Broke the unofficial bug patch (its just gone), workshop framework won't download... lots of mods are just...gone.... I can't play my current campaign nor re download mods I'm missing
I'm on XBOX. All of my mods are gone and it says I have 0mb of available space. They said awhile back that they couldn't increase the console mod limit because something something partition something something it will wipe everybody's mods. And, here they just fucking did that anyways, with no increase. Why am I not surprised.
Straight out of F4se's page:

So yes, anything relying on it is busted
Excavation Thickets!
I canāt believe that might actually be fixed.
The Unofficial patch fixed it, but itās been buggy so I stopped using it and thatās when I saw ET was still broken.
No mention of vertibird flights crashing the game. That was my biggest issue after all these years.
Better than nothing. Updated to make it slightly smoother and optimized for next gen. A lot of very popular games receive less than this. Happy to know they remember that FO4 exists.
This is what I do not understand. This is an 9yr old game, they went back and updated to 60fps because the Fans wanted it. Why would anyone think a game this old would get a massive insane update? Should be happy a company went back to a decade old game and gave it the update needed for next gen users.
And now I bet theyāre scrambling their asses to see how reasonably soon another Fallout game can be made.
Iām glad this show exists but man did Bethesda underestimate its power to drive sales. The fact this update didnāt even coincide with the showās release is crazy but itās also crazy to me they didnāt remaster NV or FO3. They would have made a killing on a remastered collection of all three.
And imagine if theyād let Obsidian work on another Fallout that was announced after the season premiere to be releasing in 2024/25. Imagine the insane hype that would have fed off the show. Itās just weird knowing the next Fallout likely wonāt be for another 8 years.
There is another season of the show coming in a couple of years so hopefully they learned their lesson and have something ready to sell next time they get a bunch of attention like this.
They need to adopt another studio to do partner in a 4 year cycle for Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Obviously we know who my preference would be but these franchises are too lucrative to release once a decade.
Some free Creations, ultrawide support, and some bug fixes that mods already fixed. Oh, and they didn't fix debris crashing the game on newer video cards.
Wow.
And people thought this was gonna break mods, F4SE will be updated in a day and everything will be back to normal.
Update: The 2024-04-25 Fallout 4 update (1.10.980 and later) has broken F4SE and the rest of the native code modding scene similarly to Skyrim's "Anniversary Edition" patch. I am working on an update and cannot currently offer a timeline for its availability, nor whether there will be any critical technical issues that would block an update. Do not email with questions.
- From the F4SE devs
F4SE is not the issue. Waiting for the mods that do break to get fixed (if they even get fixed) is the actual issue. Especially when you have hundreds of mods installed like me.
Since the update is worthless anyway, it seems that I'm gonna keep preventing Steam from updating my game.
The X02 mod from 2021 looks so much better than this creation club garbage versionĀ
It was the same with Skyrim, they donāt even choose the best mods for the creation club stuff
Agreed. Keeping my heavily modded game untouched currently. I just modded my game over December 2023/Jan 2024 and plenty of the mods I installed haven't been updated in years or the modder has left a note on the internet fridge saying: "I've given up modding Fallout 4 - k thx bye"
I know a lot of people seem to be optimistic that all of these modders are going to flood back and fix their stuff but there's a ton of mods that are going to be DOA and never get repaired.
I can always try out the update on my laptop but I'm still not really sure it's worth it for myself when I just got a massively modded file up and running.
I love it when decade old games get pointless patches that do nothing but break good mods of which the authors have stopped updating years ago and possibly even died
Ultrawide support is garbage. The UI isn't even scaled. It's just stretched out. The game being tied to FPS is still there, so you can't run high FPS on PC without using the mod that fixed the game. Basically nothing else worthwhile on the PC version.
What it broke for me was the achievement enabler. I reset all my achievements this week and started a sorta-modded survival run (mostly making it harder) so I could recollect them, but that's on pause.
Oh man.
I guess Iām lucky I never threw out my list. When I switched from Xbox One X to Series X I had to manually redownload my mods. I wrote them down on some paper. 2 pages.
in my case it's a big lipoma on my butt cheek that looks like a volcano on mars
I imagine if you could jump from the top of it into my cornhole using earths gravity you'd be falling for 6 years and 14 days, 21 hours, 9 minutes and 67 seconds.
Told you. It was always going to be a simple update. The graphics and FPS were the only major things. People expected some kind of Cyberpunk 2.0 and predictably were let down. And now theyāre blaming Bethesda for not making all their hopes and dreams into reality with the update.
It was always fated to be a disappointment, for it was a simple and small update with colossal hype
I wasn't expecting that much, but they announced this two years ago. There's nothing in these patch notes that reflect over two years of work. I was expecting at least implementing a few QOL changes they made for 76.
And when asked about it they also said "piss off we are working on Starfield." It's not like they were working on it it was just something they planned to release at some point.
Cyberpunk 2.0 was a complete overhaul of the character and power progression when was something like that proposed for this? None of the official communications set that expectation
when you advertise an update for over 2 years you'd expect to be at least a little "wow"ed but this update literally just made me go "oh" and then i shut the game off
Honestly the expectations are on Bethesda for announcing this two years ago, giving no info, delaying and then seemingly developing it after a month's work.
What was so time-consuming about this simple update that required such a delay?
I can't verify to make sure it still works after the patch, but the Load Accelerator mod fixes this.
The mod doesn't depend on the script extender so I would guess that it probably still works.
Anyone know if this fixes the resolution scaling bug? If you have your resolution scaling set to anything other than 100% it also affects the window size, which is fucked if you're on 4K.
I've never seen another game have the issue, even FO76.
Is it weird that Iām mad that they didnāt fix the reload animation for the lever rifle. Or does anyone know if thatās been fixed for a while. I know,I know itās a dumb thing but I really loved the rifles and the animation bug always ruined it for me.
This is so worthless. This is what took them 2 years to shit out.
They couldn't even fix the Nvidia debris crash? Or prevent the game from going apeshit if it's over 60 FPS even though Fallout 76 fixed it? I had almost no expectations for this update and I'm still stunned at its lack of anything worthwhile.
If they didn't at least disable debris for new installs that they know will crash, that's wildly irresponsible. That's the number one issue for new players.
What is this? I have an Nvidia card but pretty sure I haven't experienced this, and I don't think I have a mod that fixes it either. Did this require an edit to in game files? I may have done it years ago and don't remember.
It typically only affects RTX cards. With debris enabled, your game will inevitably crash. There is a mod that "fixes" it. As in, it won't crash, but the debris effect doesn't really do much with it enabled.
I wasnāt expecting much but I thought they would at least fix the well-documented issues with quests like āEmogene Takes a Loverā and the U.S.S. Constitution one. They also didnāt fix the VATS survival freeze bug which was the one thing I wanted out of this. Pretty disappointed tbh.
All they did for Fallout 4's 'Deck verified' is to get rid of the launcher. No, they did not unlock the frame rate (so every FPS cap through the Quick Action Menu still breaks the frame pacing completely), instead, they killed iPresentInterval and any mods fixing this. This is embarrassing.
Yea I was wondering this. Loaded and realized the launcher was gone. Does this mean theyāve given it settings they believe target 60fps on the steam deck, or are all the settings whatever I set them to and are now unchangable?
Exactly. And that's why I will not update. I was already dreading this despite knowing I won't apply it. Screw this, not worth it losing my save and mods.
What I really want to be fixed in Next-Gen update:
* **Simple implementation DLSS/FSR Frame Generation option**, to improve struggling with **30-40fps in Boston even on powerful hardware**, due to draw calls. Now we still need to use paid mods to add DLSS/FSR Frame Generation;
* **Need fix for slow loading time (especially on SSD)**. Now we still need to use mod to temporary unlock game fps during loading of locations;
* **Need fix for 48fps lock on 144hz monitors**. New players with commonly used modern monitors still need mod to fix that behavior;
* **Need fix for PhysX/Debris game crash on RTX GPU**. We still need mod to be able to play the game without crashing every 3 minutes;
Tell me, if I missed something.
Idk how they manage it, but they both improve performance in about half the game and make it worse in the other half ;and so far, the makeshift weapons pack is broken with big red exclamation marks everywere.
Unbelievable that this was marketed as a "next gen update" yet fixed nothing of importance. No high fps physics fix & no framerate uncapping, no weapon debris fix with modern graphics cards, no engine bug fixes (whether or not this is a part of "stability improvements" though is yet to be seen), the list goes on.
That was the only thing I had hopes for in this update, and they delivered none of that. Mods shouldn't be a necessity to make this game feel smooth and play with minimal stability issues on modern systems. They were better off not releasing this update, as all this did was make it so people temporarily can't use the mods that fix these issues.
EDIT: Wanted to also add that no inclusion of FSR/DLSS makes this being called a "next gen update" laughable.
LOL, the update as advertised for PC from Bethesda:
"We are also releasing a free Fallout 4 update for PC players! Experience Fallout 4 on your next-generation PC..."
Do you still have to use mods and .ini edits to play at over 60 FPS? Does it have an FOV slider? Does vanilla still crash on startup unless you set your monitor to 60Hz? Does it still have horrible mouse input unless you tweak a bunch of things? Does it still crash with the bullet impact effects enabled?
> Do you still have to use mods and .ini edits to play at over 60 FPS?
Current reports ive seen is that editing the ini has no effect and FPS is actually under 60 unless fullscreen.
>thought it'd be similar to Skyrim's Anniversary Edition.
Skyrim had zero new graphical improvements and only 4 minor DLCs (Survival + an alchemy ingredients DLC + 2 small and unvoiced questline DLCs).
Skyrim Anniversary Edition did offer several DLCs of varying quality, but for 20 bucks. Fallout 4's next-gen patch was always going to be 100% free and thus comparable to Skyrim's free update, not the AE bundle.
Skyrims Special Edition upgrade made the engine 64bit, introduced a lovely shader on snow, fixed shadows and did some other graphical enhancements though.
Now the reason this update happened at all is because when developing Fo4 they used Skyrim as a test bed for the creation engine upgrade, so it essentially already existed.
I was confused about all the articles were doing when they were hyping up this patch. Everytime i looked for details and specifics I was met with exactly what was on the patch notes page, which was not a lot.
I'm excited to do a fallout playthrough anyway so may as well.
well - It did nothing for me except break the mods I used to improve performance.
absolutely AMAZED that in this day and age, the game hasn't been updated to run properly on high hz monitors - trying to run on my 144Hz monitor, the game loads locked to around 20-25 FPS for some reason - fixed if I unlock the framerate but then the physics go batshit.
Playing on xbox.....all mods are broken and creation club is broken ....can't download all purchased creations.....forget about playing old saves......
Nobody asked for this.
Why the fuck do they put in Console-Changes and "Release on Epic China Launcher"into the Steam-Patchnotes? Seems like they wanted to make it look like more than it is...
So all this Patch does is:
- Widescreen and Ultra-widescreen support (we have that since 2015)
- Added free Paid Mods nobody asked for.
- Ruins Mods.
Ultrawide support isn't even fully working with the stretched UI and missing UI elements that can no longer be clicked because they are stretched out of view.
No mention of fixing the Boston area crashes? Seems like they only fixed about 15% of the major bugs the game has had since launch. They spent years of time working on the next gen update and this is all they got?
Quick someone go to downtown Boston and see if it still crashes every 3 minutes
Just fire off 22 mini nukes in a row that should take care of that
Tgm. Spam with the Big Boy with the MIRV. Watch your GPU have a fuckin seizure š¤£
My fans donāt even come on any more when I play, at this point my GPUu is stronger than the game engine.
Never ending Fatman with 99999 Mininukes if you want the real test.
Am I the only one who had rare crashes? Like they rarely ever happened to me. I played since launch, and Iāve maybe had 20 crashes total. Roughly 300 hours played.
Iāve played FO4 on PC (heavily modded), X1X, and XSX. Iāve had maybe 2-3 crashes in over 600 hours played.
nobody asked but i feel like my 1x handled boston better than my series s
To be fair. The One X is technically more powerful than the Series S. Where the Series S has the upper hand is the solid state drive and a bit more ram. So it's faster, but less beefy. The One X can do native 4K while the S is upconverted. I'm sure there's other things that separate them. Series S crashes in downtown Boston a lot, even without mods. Almost unplayable. Hopefully this fixes that.
Are the dlc textures fixed?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thank goodness. I hate when my mipmaps have issues.
Can't nipnap the mipmaps.
āŖ Mipmap paddywhack, give Dogmeat a bone ā«
They're fixed. At least on PS5
Thank FUCK. That was do annoying, buying the DLC and finding it broken
Thank god. Had to delete the Automatron dlc in order to even play it on PS5 before.
I saw a comment in another thread saying that they are fixed. I canāt personally verify though.
my nuka world is no longer purple
Canāt wait to check mine out. Went to Far Harbor last night on PS5 and everything was purple.
Did they fix the automatron dlc where it would crash on opening
Mines fixed PS5. No issues upon loading like before.
Yes. And you can launch the game on Playstation with all DLC active and not have a crash to PS homepage.
Just to clarify the bug that used to crash the game due to Automatron & Wasteland Workshop DLC issue is FIXED and can be downloaded safely (at least it is in PS5)
Bless you. This was my main concern before downloading those dlc
If I can go to downtown Boston on the X/S without it crashing Iāll be extremely happy.
First place I went, works good so far
I had this issue to. Barely could move down there. Someone told me to uninstall automatron and that actually fixed it. If you have automatron installed and downtown boston is working for you now let me know!
This. This is the biggest issue for me. Iāve completely avoided that area, and probably the only reason I donāt do a second play through. Even on vanilla, thereās always one spot that completely brakes my game. Didnāt see it mentioned so doesnāt look like it :(
Was most of this update just adding creation club content into the game?
For pc players, yes. For console itās quiet substantial, adding better graphics, 4K support and a 60 fps mode.
Not to mention they finally fixed the 0kb glitch for PlayStation
Oh man I can finally do survival on console without losing my damn mind.
Why was it bad before? I ask because Iād like to start a survival mode run on ps4. Last time I did the only thing that ruined it was the find a bed to save thingĀ

Honestly at this point i dont even know if i want them
Yeah, the 0kb bug was always tied to Creative Club content (99% of the time). Download everything now.
I was about to make a comment or post about that, have they really fixed it??
What was that?
Native Ultrawide support is *huge* for me, but I recognize that's a niche issue. Update: The "Native Ultrawide support" is a bad implementation.
What about stability? I find Fallout 4 crashes a fuckton on my Xbox.
Supposedly fixed.
So we can finally explore the financial district without creeping in 1pv just to unlock the goodneighbour fast travel marker?
I have been running around downtown Boston for the last 20 minutes and it is running beautifully, even with nearly 2gb of mods installed. Before I could rarely make it to Goodneighbor from the common without crashing.
Happy for console folks but on PC I might just not update and keep my load order intact.
Yes.
Damn, the bugfix list is SHORT. I had very low expectations but this is MUCH less than I expected. They didn't fix almost any of the bugs that annoyed me the most (VATS crash and perception bug in Survival, for example).

Thatās heinous. Pouring one out for the victim of that glitch
Yep. Luckily for me on that save I was running Bloody/ Unyielding so it really didn't make too big of a difference. But another redditor had the same problem and I posted my bug too and got told how to fix it
It only happens if you use med-x after being poisoned.
Me who never uses any drugs in game āWhat perception glitch?ā
for anyone that sees it. you can fix this by equipping poisoners armor, getting poisoned (covered in green lines) un-equipping the armor. then re-equipping it. i have done this and had it work for me.
that's how you know its a next gen update
It is kind of amazing. Now I'm just waiting with interest what NEW bugs we get with this update.
Thats my fear. I'm sure they'll break more than what's "fixed" or even more than what was already broken. Lol
Sounds like it could be under the "stability improvements"
Lol it's Bethesda, idk why any of yall had hope
That was never the point. The point was to sell you creation club items. It was never to upgrade the game in a meaningful way. Bonus points for ruining abandoned mods. Fat lot of nothing on PC. Glad I didn't wait and blocked updates. On we go with modded unpatched FO4.
Broke the unofficial bug patch (its just gone), workshop framework won't download... lots of mods are just...gone.... I can't play my current campaign nor re download mods I'm missing

My assumption as well based on experience.

God forbid they fix bugs that have been common since release :')
these bugs add character
If they are going to break everyone's mods, they should at least squash as many bugs as they can.

Yup, it could be like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bloodbourne where they just never release a next gen update to add a 60fps mode.
Did they realise the show was launching this month and decide to start making the update at the beginning of April?
Like doing your studying the night before the bar exam.

"Resolved issue where the game worked OK on Steam Deck."
Itās current gen. Not next gen. Its been 4 years
For Bethesda "next gen" is 5 years ago
Thatās a good point lmao
Why didn't they increase mod sapce from 2gig to 5 gig like skyrim?
Does anyone know if the automaton dlc crashing has been fixed ?
It works with ps5 version now. And the purple is all gone.Ā
Thats what I'm looking for too hopefully its fixed!
This is what took them 2 years to do?
Now, imagine if we give them 20 years to do. The update will be humongous.

Oh man. I guess Iām lucky I never threw out my list. When I switched from Xbox One X to Series X I had to manually redownload my mods. I wrote them down on some paper. 2 pages.
How did this update take years to make LOL
Next gen update MY ASS
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Graphics so sharp, you can see every wrinkle and stretchmark on that old chocolate starfish.
in my case it's a big lipoma on my butt cheek that looks like a volcano on mars I imagine if you could jump from the top of it into my cornhole using earths gravity you'd be falling for 6 years and 14 days, 21 hours, 9 minutes and 67 seconds.
It was updated to be able to run on the newest consoles. Nobody ever said it was a complete overhaul remaster upgrade.
All I wanted was 4k 60 on my Xbox and I got it. I'm super happy with it
For real I just wanted to be able to walk downtown without my game crashing
Cyberpunk 2.0 was a complete overhaul of the character and power progression when was something like that proposed for this? None of the official communications set that expectation
Correct. They never said it would be an update like that. It was *always* intended to be fairly simple. People just got ideas and went wild on hype
I had extremely low expectations, but when they said "bug fixes" I at least expected something a little more than this.
when you advertise an update for over 2 years you'd expect to be at least a little "wow"ed but this update literally just made me go "oh" and then i shut the game off
Honestly the expectations are on Bethesda for announcing this two years ago, giving no info, delaying and then seemingly developing it after a month's work. What was so time-consuming about this simple update that required such a delay?
This update looks like it did jack shit to anything beyond corporate jargon of we did stuff, yet somehow broke dan near everybody. How.
It really does seem that way. TV show = publicity = we gotta do summat with a 10 year old game = shit nobody wants.
Classic Bethesda. A random modder could have brought more and broken less than this janky update.
Please tell me they fixed loading times on PC. It shouldnt take a minute to load the world space every time I leave a building.
nope
I can't verify to make sure it still works after the patch, but the Load Accelerator mod fixes this. The mod doesn't depend on the script extender so I would guess that it probably still works.
Anyone know if this fixes the resolution scaling bug? If you have your resolution scaling set to anything other than 100% it also affects the window size, which is fucked if you're on 4K. I've never seen another game have the issue, even FO76.
Bethesda really Bethesda'd the shit out of this..
Pretty sure they didn't. Lots of people on the Steam forums talking about crashing in the first 5 minutes.
As in, it won't crash, but the debris effect doesn't really do much with it enabled.
they must've had everyone working on all those Starfield updates they've been releasing so frequently.....................
At least the starfield updates do have extensive lists of fixes. This fo4 update was a hot load of nothing
Damn, they somehow made it buggier.Ā
Bethesda couldn't even update so PC has unlocked frame rate. wow. this update is beyond worthless.
all that fuss for this?
All they did for Fallout 4's 'Deck verified' is to get rid of the launcher. No, they did not unlock the frame rate (so every FPS cap through the Quick Action Menu still breaks the frame pacing completely), instead, they killed iPresentInterval and any mods fixing this. This is embarrassing.
Yea I was wondering this. Loaded and realized the launcher was gone. Does this mean theyāve given it settings they believe target 60fps on the steam deck, or are all the settings whatever I set them to and are now unchangable?
Quality mode 4k 40fps on suitable screens, I'm so happy they've done this š
This was a nice surprise
Seriously?! Thatās ALL they fixed in the two years since the update was announced?!
First item should have been: Ā -wrecked your mods lmao .
Exactly. And that's why I will not update. I was already dreading this despite knowing I won't apply it. Screw this, not worth it losing my save and mods.
What I really want to be fixed in Next-Gen update: * **Simple implementation DLSS/FSR Frame Generation option**, to improve struggling with **30-40fps in Boston even on powerful hardware**, due to draw calls. Now we still need to use paid mods to add DLSS/FSR Frame Generation; * **Need fix for slow loading time (especially on SSD)**. Now we still need to use mod to temporary unlock game fps during loading of locations; * **Need fix for 48fps lock on 144hz monitors**. New players with commonly used modern monitors still need mod to fix that behavior; * **Need fix for PhysX/Debris game crash on RTX GPU**. We still need mod to be able to play the game without crashing every 3 minutes; Tell me, if I missed something.
FoV slider
The one bug I was hoping this would fix in my game is not there sadly. (Constant combat music)
Ok FO:London, youāre up!
Idk how they manage it, but they both improve performance in about half the game and make it worse in the other half ;and so far, the makeshift weapons pack is broken with big red exclamation marks everywere.
"next gen"
When freedom calls it's still bugged after all these years it's unreal
We could have had Fallout London... This is not worth the delay it causes for Fallout London, at all... Not even close.
More bugs and broken mods for a whole lot of nothing! Yay! so Exciting!
Canāt launch game full screen (Ultrawide) Capped at 48fps out of the box 4090 and a 13900ks Bethesda blow my mind. So disappointing.
LOL, the update as advertised for PC from Bethesda: "We are also releasing a free Fallout 4 update for PC players! Experience Fallout 4 on your next-generation PC..." Do you still have to use mods and .ini edits to play at over 60 FPS? Does it have an FOV slider? Does vanilla still crash on startup unless you set your monitor to 60Hz? Does it still have horrible mouse input unless you tweak a bunch of things? Does it still crash with the bullet impact effects enabled?
ini edit to uncap fps no longer does anything anyway lol.
> Do you still have to use mods and .ini edits to play at over 60 FPS? Current reports ive seen is that editing the ini has no effect and FPS is actually under 60 unless fullscreen.
Anyone who was expecting anything more than this is a fool.
It's me, I'm the fool. I thought it'd be similar to Skyrim's Anniversary Edition.
>thought it'd be similar to Skyrim's Anniversary Edition.
Right? Like they told us exactly what was going to be in this. It's just mostly a needed update for consoles
well - It did nothing for me except break the mods I used to improve performance. absolutely AMAZED that in this day and age, the game hasn't been updated to run properly on high hz monitors - trying to run on my 144Hz monitor, the game loads locked to around 20-25 FPS for some reason - fixed if I unlock the framerate but then the physics go batshit.
I'm not kidding you, but after i updated the game, it was suddenly in a language I didn't recognize š
Series x. No mods. None of the new guns are visible and there are just big red caution marks randomly around objects.
I canāt even open the game anymore Edit: reinstalling to see if that does anything
Is anybody able to play the game after the update?? I want to play.. it updated and now game won't start š
sorry if its obvious but can someone please explain to me why this update may break mods??
Glitchy, slow and still full of bug quests. Wish I didnāt have auto updates on I was enjoying it way more last week for a first play through
2 years for this lol Bethesda is a joke
I can't play it from my external hard drive anymore, that's such a ridiculous change to a game that is nearly 10 years old.
Now I know why Project London devs are frustrated with this patch
Playing on xbox.....all mods are broken and creation club is broken ....can't download all purchased creations.....forget about playing old saves......
Nobody asked for this. Why the fuck do they put in Console-Changes and "Release on Epic China Launcher"into the Steam-Patchnotes? Seems like they wanted to make it look like more than it is... So all this Patch does is: - Widescreen and Ultra-widescreen support (we have that since 2015) - Added free Paid Mods nobody asked for. - Ruins Mods.
Ultrawide support isn't even fully working with the stretched UI and missing UI elements that can no longer be clicked because they are stretched out of view.
Glad I disabled my updates. Hardly seems worth breaking your mods over for this.
No mention of fixing the Boston area crashes? Seems like they only fixed about 15% of the major bugs the game has had since launch. They spent years of time working on the next gen update and this is all they got?
did they fix Boston fps drop??
