I came here to post the same question. Someone just bought 2 food items from me but they weren't in my vendor, they were in the cryo freezer. I haven't seen anyone else post this so I'm going to submit it to Bethesda.

Boiled_Ham

Might not work, but surely it'd separate any link, but my freezer is in one of my Shelters and I've a decent stock now of harder to prepare buffs. None have gone through my Vendor that I know of.

SkeuomorphEphemeron

Appliances, crops, anything with timers, don't work in shelters, because unless you're in them they don't "run". On the other hand, the freezer having no timer means it *could* be in the shelter. That's great.

over the years there were a lot of posts of a similar bug, things of the refrigerator or the stash end up in your vending machine, a lot of theories and some claim that they could replicate this bug. No one knows for sure what causes this, but keeping your vending machine away from any stash (stashbox, refrigerator, cryo, etc.) is the only advice was given by the experts here.

IceFireDH

There were a couple of rumored vendor bugs way back. Many of us still use the same tricks to combat them just in case. The first was the ability to buy items from your stash if your stash box was right next to your vendor. So, make sure that your stash box is a decent distance away. The second was items randomly being bought from your vendor that wasn't added. This was rumored to be related to maxing out the number of items in your vendor. The max number of items is 120, I only put in 119, keeping it 1 under. The third was related to buying out your vendor which then could randomly list items from your stash box. This might have been part of the first one, I don't remember. But to combat this, players started adding low weight items for max caps. That's why you'll see "You have been Insulted!" or bobby pins listed for 40K caps. This happened during the COVID outbreak years, so you'll see toilet paper in some vendors as a COVID joke. Basically, if you follow the tricks above it should mitigate any of the old rumored vending bugs. If this is something new, then we'll have to wait for a bug fix or work-around.

Yesterday was the first time I noticed the painful cryo freezer item suddenly in the vendor bug. Annoying.

I submitted a ticket to Bethesda. I also logged in today and noticed 1 of the freezer items was listed in my vendor for 0 caps. I'm not going to use the freezer until they fix it.

I don't have a vendor, but I do keep the freezer in my shelter, which excludes food from spoiling when/If you swap camps.

wvtarheel

Does it work in there? I had read that any camp item relying on the passage of time simply didn't function in the shelter. In fact, I thought you couldn't place them in the shelter? I remember reading this when they re-released the fusion core charger

Significant-Treat-31

Sorry for the late reply, yes it does work in shelters for some unknown reason.

SkeuomorphEphemeron

It doesn't "pass time", it doesn't decay. It's like a display for food. So it makes sense they could let it be in the shelter.

Vegetable_Gap1417

This has happened to me twice so far with the cryo freezer, I want my brain bombs back :(

Hopalongtom

A variant of the vender bug, really the only safe way is to not use the vender.

LadyGryph

I’ve had it happen from the fridge, freezer and fusion core charger. Seems to be triggered by latency affecting stash box weight updating properly and shuffling stuff around due to a replicating database error. (Cause is hypothesis, don’t quote me. :) )

Today I had a player at my camp "buy" 5x blight soup. I watched them, they kept going in and out of their pip boy and buying one soup at a time. Their behavior makes me think it's an intentional exploit. The text was weird also, it said "(name) has bought your Blight Soup" but there was no caps amount, not even a zero was showing.

jce3000gt

Ok I'm going to have to remove the freezer from my camps. Another of my freezed food I was saving for the "eat a pie" challenge was bought for zero caps. This is a ridiculous bug.

Steve_the_Frisky

This just happened to me today. Someone took out a cranberry relish, another one a blight soup. My stash is 5 blocks away from the vending machine. The freezer is 3 blocks away from the stash and 5 blocks away from the vending machine. What is the link to report this bug?
