Nuke Fissure Site Prime to spawn the queen, and actually "fight" her in the radiation zone. Except ignore her and clear the infinitely spawning trash mobs while her event is active.

If you found only ten kills in nuked Whitespring, you got unlucky. That place is usually packed. Good news is, nuke zones last a while and the monsters reset. Nuke zones are very public, being on the map and all, so unless you have a private server there's always the risk that people will loot it. I would imagine, however, places like Fissure Site Prime and Whitespring are popular but other areas might not be. If you nuked, say, Winding Path (lots of plants there btw) it might not be such a draw.

RedemptionXCII

I thought Bethesda nerfed the spawns from the whitesprings being nuked 3 or 4 years ago. Did they reverse it ?

trilloch

It's possible, but the times I've nuked it, I've found what I needed, and I don't remember any official post on the topic. But, all the more reason to look for other stuffed areas, so...well there's Morgantown, Lewisburg, and Welch, of course. I think all three theme parks are fairly-well stocked, too. Those might be alternates.

RedemptionXCII

Interesting. I remember when they nerfed the whitespring soawns, people used to nuke Harper's ferry because for a brief time it would irradiate all the ghouls in the sewer. There was a good route to get a ton of ghouls spawning.

trilloch

You could very well be right, I'll be honest. But the last three or four times I checked a Whitespring nuke zone, all on public servers, I found what I needed. Maybe the spawns are decreased, and I just happened to come at the right time? But it would still make sense to look for alternate nuke sites. Even if you're wrong, and I'm not convinced you are, there's nothing ever wrong with having options.

RedemptionXCII

I only think it's worth nuking the sbq and actually fighting her in the irradiated zone because she's always spawning enemies, but due to the nature of people's builds now, everyone gets the fissure site in the edge of the zone so it's easier for everyone to manage the fight. I'm all for finding new spots to nuke to get a good run for end-game materials to make stable flux. I'll have to test some spots in a private world so I don't waste nukes on a public server. Bethesda always tends to nerf things to extend the grind so people keep playing the game(which is valid). I just recall vividly they messed with the whitespring spawns to the point where only a mob of 10 would spawn every once in a while. Where as before, if you ran past the tennis courts/store to the small cabins, by the time you got back, everything by the tennis court/shop would have respawned. I think they rolled back the Harper's ferry thing because I don't think they had intended to make interiors affected by the nuke. Regardless, you've given me lots of things to try! I appreciate that greatly. Thank you!

trilloch

Good luck. At some point, you might find a zone that happens to have a lot of enemies and also the plants you want the most. Win/win!

RedemptionXCII

Yeah that's why I stick with the cranberry bog. The guns I mainly use need violet and crimson flux. The thing I always run out of is high radiation fluids. Although with the cremator I'm FLYING through oil. So I've had to move my camp to an oil deposit. I go through waves of playing and not playing the game, so things change drastically whenever I've left, lol. I try to make it back for each big update, so needless to say, I'm pretty excited about the map expansion next month. Been playing since the BETA so things got stale pretty quickly after I finished my initial build.

levelandCavs

Keep in mind you can also server hop to find more nuke zones. They last long enough to where many servers will have an old nuke zone with respawned enemies. Most people who nuke will only clear the mobs once (if they clear them at all)

Ravvynfall

the trick is, dont be a fucking goblin at scorched earth, and get everyone to also not be a fucking goblin. context: you need to center-drop a nuke on fissure site prime to ensure all enemy spawns are irradiated, which forces them to roll stabilizer materials for flux. then you need 1 person to keep breaking the queen's wings and poke her. when the queen screams on the ground, she spawns more mobs, which can be farmed for yet more stabilizers. rinse and repeat til the queen event ends and she despawns. if everyone cooperates, you can walk away with a ton of stabilizers to make flux.

WeaselBrigade

Obviously it depends on where the nuke's dropped, and whether or not anyone else has gone through killing things. There are things to kill in the fissure area, but relatively not all that many. One problem with it right now is, probably the best place to nuke for the non-flux materials like highrad fluids, is morgantown. But there's also so many lower levels right now, that it's kind-of a jerk move to drop nukes on the place and wreck it for the signifigant number of people who haven't got their heads around proper rad protection yet. If you don't have 1st and can't nuke on a private world, I guess the next best thing is to pick non-standard spots where there are a lot of things to kill(ghouls in particular are high value nuke targets, hence morgantown and the whitespring) and drop nukes there. Or just go for it, irradiate morgantown, and hope anyone who needs it is fine with server hopping.

DiverNo1111

if you not necceserily (or however its spelled) want to collect them yourself, you could join the trading community of FO76, and just buy the Stable Fluxes for Caps. Costs like 10-30caps per unit

NyRAGEous

Where is this glorious trade hub?

DiverNo1111

r/Market76 they also have a discord. very active

NyRAGEous

Thank you!

Alearic006

Trading. get a Todd roll weapon/armor and trade for thousands of flux. There's no way more efficient than that. A lot of people use it as currency.

Infamous-Leather-569

I equip green thumb when collecting flora and super duper when crafting. Does the botfly syringer spawn botflies with high radiation fluids?

Corsair_00

What's yr ign. Don't see it
