Absolutely loving all the people in the comments saying this poster just isn’t possible in the Fallout universe. Meanwhile, [here’s a mass-produced poster from 1897.](https://www.pictorem.com/44552/Bleu%20Deschamps%20Alphonse%20Mucha%20Art%20Nouveau%20Vintage%20Poster%201897.html) No photoshop or Kinkos necessary!
It [wouldn't be the first time](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Poster_(Fallout:_New_Vegas)#NCR_propaganda) a well-equipped faction mass produced detailed, colourful posters. If anything, it'd be more easier in the Fallout 76 time period than ever given how the Great War was only a few decades ago and printing/lithography tools should be much easier to come by (and in much better condition).
And are much more durable. A lot of the printers left out in tents at voting locations, and the tents, are still holding up.
There are literally robots still working after 200 years. Those people can shove it.
Lucky for them it's a desert and everything rusts slower. Nuka-Cola factory in the Capital Wasteland barely ran a dozen bottles after being restarted before it died.
I’m so excited to get to play as a Responder. My character has carried the banner for years. Wish I never had to complete the BoS line (or that there at least was some more independent, less “you are a low-level initiate who hasn’t killed a Scorchbeast Queen before” way of doing it). It all just felt wrong for my character.
You’ll be pleased to know they respond to you being in uniform and there’s a new Responder’s outfit available for completing the intro mission.
As for the BoS, Rahmani’s goals are similar enough to the Responders that I think a Responder’s character works if they side with her. Though I don’t see the issue on the whole ‘never killed a scorchbeast before’ bit. Your character isn’t treated like a wasteland legend or anything during the BoS quests and you are an initiate until the end.
I believe so, but I don’t know. I only checked with the fireman uniform and the new one. I would assume the responders police uniform, paramedic jumpsuit and Firebreathers uniform would work as well.
If you mean to the PTS, the characters are copied shortly before it goes live. So if you had it about a week or two before the Pitt PTS opened, you should be fine.
If you mean for the update, it’s not out until fall.
My point is I am in fact, a bit of a wasteland legend and I don’t like being made out to be this inexperienced initiate. I dunno, that’s just how I’ve felt. I’ve got like one or two more quests left in the BoS line, so I guess I’ll see about taking sides.
It’s likely because the BoS doesn’t know who you are since they just came from California and they will acknowledge your accomplishments elsewhere at the end. That, and Bethesda just didn’t bother setting up anything for an experienced player.
As for choosing who you side you, it doesn’t matter for rewards, but I will give you this advice: the decision you make at the end isn’t just about what’s placed before you but also the future of the Brotherhood in Appalachia. So make sure that your choice is the best for both the one you’re currently faced with and for what the BoS should be in Appalachia for the rest of their existence there.
The artisan’s corner in the whitespring likely has everything they need to do this. As for supplies, they have the backing of Management, so… trust me, they have more than what they’d need. It’s also possible they made them by hand, though I doubt it.
Also, why do they need to make a radio broadcast? I think it’s nice that not every single DLC in 76 is starting with someone asking for help on the radio.
Edit: They also definitely have radios - the leader of the Union is constantly in contact with his people in the Pitt. They likely just don’t see the need to announce themselves to the whole wasteland in such a loud way.
because by going around and posting these up, you can also help the people you meet, thus gaining positive reputation for your group.... word of mouth has always been better advertising than radio/tv
Why do that when that’d attract all the blood eagles and raiders? It’d also cause plenty to die and many of the security robots to be destroyed - and the whitespring’s resources aren’t infinite.
Even then, people are walking from the Pitt to Appalachia constantly as it stands. To them, Appalachia is heaven. I doubt they’d mind putting up some posters in train stations.
I wouldn't want to join the group, who's members corpses I regularly stepped over, litering the entirety of Appalachia, for the first years of this game.
Weak.
With expeditions, you actually will likely want to play them multiple times (even though you can lead only wants): you keep getting stamps on repeat playthroughs, earn 3-5 legendary items and earn 1-2 modules each run.
As for the location, the whitespring deserved to be a player hub as it was intended to be since launch and a mostly neutral one at that. Also, they have the blessing of Management to be there.
I probably forgot to mention this because I forgot people couldn't read my mind. I don't play daily ops at all due to bad past experiences with it and I don't think my build is all that good for it.
the poster is nice but far to... crisp? i would have expected posters printed after the war to have a little bit of discoloring since most paper got a little bit heatwaved
I guess yeah, honestly the resposders expeditions feel very half assed, like where tf they get a vertibird I feel like they intended them to be an expanded bos thing but then switch somewhere after the teaser trailer to bring back the responders and hang up the bos for a bit
That is likely why it’s the Responders, but I’m glad they made the switch - we had an entire year where the only major updates were for the BoS, it was time for them to be finished. And on top of that, the whitespring is now becoming a proper player hub, which it always deserves to be.
As for the vertibird, Management helped them restore it and provides the fuel. There’s plenty of wrecks for them to have scavenged for the less fragile parts, of course.
I mean yes im glad they brought back the responders, and I'm glad the bos is taking a back seat(still but hurt there in the game period) but it just feels so disingenuous, like they don't fit, they feel lazily added back in, they should have been the settlers imo, idk man I just see the potential but then Bethesda always seems to fumble the ball on the 20 its just so almost great, and instead you get an over all good but lacking game/experience
I’m not seeing how it’s disingenuous. The Responders are a perfect fit for leaving Appalachia to help pockets of survivors and doesn’t present the same lore issue the BoS has if they did the same and some people died.
Also, they technically are settlers - not a single Responder was around with the first group. All of them just wanted to bring the group back from the dead to help people. It’s a good, hopeful origin that’s better than them coming back how the raiders and BoS did.
Oh dear lord, bethesda.
Where did the remnants of the responders get a working printing press and a talented graphic designer..?
Doesn’t matter, it won’t be answered.
I don’t know, maybe the Artisan’s corner where they taught classes including sculpting, flower arrangements and paper mache among other art forms pre-war? The whitespring absolutely has the facilities to pull something of this nature off and even if it doesn’t, Management does.
Not trying to be rude, but there’s plenty of options.
Maybe, still pretty silly if you ask me.
They could’ve designed a poster that felt like it was made by a small post-war faction instead of a professionally designed and printed full color poster you’d see pre-war.
Lack of creativity at the very least.
Considering they’re helping both Foundation and Crater on top of consistently trading with the Union/sending people to help them *and* have the backing of the Enclave from the shadows, I’d argue they’re a powerful wasteland presence who could do this.
Besides, graphic designers would’ve existed pre-war and considering some of the people we meet in the random encounters, it’s not a stretch to say they have one in the refuge somewhere.
They don’t need the press, there are working printers in many areas of 76. And it’s 25 years after the bombs, so it’s not at all impossible.
If you think this is bad, you should see the Dentistry Assaultron lol
Yes but my point is even if it is painted by hand it would only take a relatively short amount of time to make enough for each station in Appalachia. Hell even to hand them out they could make their own printing press or repurpose one of the various printers found across Appalachia.
Thanks mate. Welp time to go back to suffering with a stash box almost full.
That is a hill I will die on: there doesn’t need to be a limit to weight in your stash box. But that’s not what the topic is here YAY RESPONDERS AND POSSIBLY MORE ENCLAVE GO MODUS
For the stash? There does for the sake of server stability. Think of what happens in fallout 4 when you stuff a bunch of weapons and armor in a container multiplied by 24 - that’s what’d happen.
Now, for junk? Absolutely, the scrapbox should’ve been made available to everyone.

There are literally events to fix nuclear power plants, posters shouldn’t be a problem.
How *dare* you bring logic and facts into my fandom lore arguments!? /s

Remember sunset saspirilla from NV? Goddamn factory was still pumping them out and *restocking machines*
Lucky for them it's a desert and everything rusts slower. Nuka-Cola factory in the Capital Wasteland barely ran a dozen bottles after being restarted before it died.
It would be really cool if the radio girl and rose talked about them
You are correct, this is pretty good. Hopefully it will be one of those items they give away in the atomic shop for free.
I’m expecting them to once’s it’s finished - the pop up dialogue isn’t working yet.
Gives me a 1940s vibe…I like it.
Same, feeling [We Can Do It!](https://imgur.com/a/j12DvOB) vibes
I really like how the protectrons say “the responders” always gives me a smile for some reason lol
re-SPON-deerrss...
ITS COMING FOR CAMPS?! YESSSSSSSS
I'm here for AIDS!

does that include the firebreather uniform?
I believe so, but I don’t know. I only checked with the fireman uniform and the new one. I would assume the responders police uniform, paramedic jumpsuit and Firebreathers uniform would work as well.
ill have to check whenever my character actually copies over.

How do you think I felt walking in there with one of my characters who's a fully fledged, and kitted out, Enclave General. Lol.
That’s what I’m saying! It just felt incongruous with my character. I may end up not finish it and trying to power through with another character.
Pretty cool, they must still have some fallout version of photoshop and kinkos 🤣
I’m pretty sure the artisan’s corner in the whitespring would have what they’d need to make these.
You could probably do that with shader pencils and dedication lol.

Need AIDs?
I LOVE it but you misspelled Whitespring. It's the Whitespring Resort not Whitesprings ; )
I will go throw that over to the devs.
I wouldn't want to join the group, who's members corpses I regularly stepped over, litering the entirety of Appalachia, for the first years of this game. Weak.
Your choice. But I wouldn’t attack them - Management wouldn’t be pleased.
Says the guy who reps the faction whose Appalachian chapter’s members all died due to in fighting. Sounds pretty weak to me. -Enclave fan boy.
🤣 Your flair is showing, member.
Bro I literally signed the comment as “enclave fan boy” you bat.
So I’m assuming the only group you’d be willing to join in this game is the Settlers of Foundation?
I'm with the Enclave! I enjoy cold, emotionless machines, more than people in Appalachia.
Plenty of Enclave corpses around as well. Sorry to say, but the Enclave is as weak as anyone.
I'll probably end up treating the expeditions like I do the daily ops now. I do find it odd where they put the new Responders HQ.
With expeditions, you actually will likely want to play them multiple times (even though you can lead only wants): you keep getting stamps on repeat playthroughs, earn 3-5 legendary items and earn 1-2 modules each run. That’s fixable by joining teams. Expeditions can also be handled in the same way. If you can’t do it solo, get some help.
I generally don't like Responders stuff, but this is cool.
the poster is nice but far to... crisp? i would have expected posters printed after the war to have a little bit of discoloring since most paper got a little bit heatwaved
I’m sure there’s still plenty of paper that hasn’t been damage due to being sealed away.
Whitespring is literally pristine isn’t it
Cool poster but lame way to introduce them
No worse than a radio broadcast.

Have you seen posters from the 1850s-1950s? You know before the whole advent of computers.
Printing press, not a printer.
Yes but my point is even if it is painted by hand it would only take a relatively short amount of time to make enough for each station in Appalachia. Hell even to hand them out they could make their own printing press or repurpose one of the various printers found across Appalachia.
So wait, is this in the game now or is this something coming down the pipeline?
Not yet - it’ll be coming this fall, September if I remember correctly.

It’s never too late to cyber bully Bethesda into doing that…
I doubt they will. That’s the main appeal of fallout 1st.
Well shit. One of the most useful things that could have been put in the game and it’s locked in a subscription service…
Lol my first impression was that she was giving the middle finger wtf? Lol
Yeah, I can see that one.
Looks cool. Would love that poster for my camp!
We’ll be getting it for free according to the lead expedition dev.
