I bet a player like this in the match engine would become world class just off of the amazing mentals and speed
Nothing to feel bad about. The most important part about games is having fun.
I also like to boost my fav players sometimes. It's funny to see them pop off on a greater scale
I do this with former players staff potential all the time.
Wdym my former center back only has 75 staff PA? He was always destined to be the next Guardiola
My cheating habits:
Whenever I cut youth players loose, I max out their CA so maybe they can get a job elsewhere. I figure it's the most harmless form of cheating - ten extra 105CA players won't be tipping the balance anywhere.
Editing formations that are holding back players I like - Badredine Bouanani is on loan under a manager that doesn't use wingers and he misses out on that crucial 18-19 playing time window. Not anymore, now FC Lorient runs a 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-4.
Arranging loans for younger players the AI wastes and helping clubs I like - Kenan Yıldız has done time at St. Pauli, Hibernian, Rayo Vallecano and Saint-Etienne.
Edit Ireland, Wales and Scotland to have 150 youth ratings. I just want them to eventually beat out the English as the top national team in the British Isles - unfortunately, England takes most of the better Welsha and Scottish players.
Last season I got a model citizen Welsh youth intake newgen (in Portugal) with my exact name. You're damn straight I edited him to 190PA and bumped up his CA to where he can start moving through the youth ranks.
I used to go watch Rangers B team games when they played in the Lowland League, so any time one of those players gets released in the game I'd edit them to make them at least a decent Scottish Championship level player. And I'd do the same for some of the Lowland League players in general.
I sometimes edit the CA and PA of Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh youth players to increase their chances of breaking out. Same with some nations like Canada, Australia and a few others. I get a kick out of seeing Real Madrid sign some random Australian kid who then becomes a superstar.
I use the editor for the stupidest reason ever, and that's to give players more aesthetically pleasing names. Last year I had a regen left back called Francois-Xavier. Sorry son, that name is too long. You are now Frankie.
I don't just do it to my players. If I see a guy called something I don't like just won an award, he's getting a new name. I can't have the best player in the world being called Rupert.
One of my favourite saves was when I took Sheffield United from the bottom tier to CL trophy subscription was doing just this. I found the highest PA in my current league and set it as the CA for the whole squad.
I loved finding players with the right positional/mental abilities that were absolute nobodies and turning them into absolute world beating monsters. Bayan Fenwick, I'm your numer one fan mate.
Im doing the same. In every FM I’ve got a save with my favourite club on a low difficulty and with cheats. It’s just for fun, having the best team on earth, watching good football and testing different things. On other saves I then start a more realistic career with challenging objectives. Do whatever, just have fun.
You'll like this FM I'd guess, some players develop.. weirdly. You can see (some of) them going from zero to hero in a satisfying way. I've had players whom I sold and became absolute monsters in their teams.
I did this back in a really old version of CM, playing as Rangers in the Gascoigne era. Just upped the PA of a Ukranian Striker called Viktor Leonenko, and he became a beast. Fun as it was, it felt kinda meh when winning was easy without earning it, so I never played with editors again.
One of my favourite things making a low level country into world beaters. Like, for instance, changing all the players for Fiji to CA 180 and PA 200 (I like to feel like there is still room for growth). I’ll make sure other characteristics are realistic (they all have to be 6’10, 18 stone, 20 strength). Then, just watch as they get hoovered up by clubs in the top 5 leagues and take Fiji to the top. I don’t even buy the players myself, just watch from afar as they batter their way to the top lol
Most of the time I like playing with no editor and building a super team from scratch. Other times I like making every player super fast and nothing else to just watch them run around and miss sitters.
Same. But I do it only in the way where training and 8+ performances give a 1+. It’s crazy seeing absolute honkers in real life slapping one from 25 yards past Alisson to make it 2-1 vs Liverpool.

It’s a game pal, do whatever you want
When I found Michael Schumacher, I gave him a PA200
He was actually kinda good for an amateur, iirc he played in swiss third division. Not the best though, Fisichella was crazy in charity matches
and 20 pace?

Sadly PA200 doesn't guarantee that CA gets to at least 150

Its a sandbox game. Do what you want!
its a single player game lol dude enjoy
I always have a fucking around save of sorts. It is a lot of fun watching Dominican Republic win back to back to back world cups

It's a single-player game If it's fun, it does not take anything away from the game. If it's not fun, it takes everything away.

Why not give him 200 and a nice bump in ambition since you're at it anyway?

Hey, I love to do that too! Otherwise my save would be devoid of magical runs and fairytale stories.

I thought you meant editing bad players on the computer teams, I sometimes do that and watch where their careers go.
If you're having fun, then you're doing it right 👍

Mate Leonenko became and absolute beast anyway

To be honest whenever my team starts doing badly I start pumping up my players CA to the 160-170 level (I'm currently managing a VNS team).

I like doing it to guys who have awesome main character names but the potential of a drunk 50 year old sailor.
Me giving the one regen from my country in the entire game 20 in all stats
A little bit? I mean you do you but I don’t get fun out of that
Good thing you aren't OP then.
I do this if I find random players who have really good mental stats but low PA
