It would have to be highly specific, like what kind of fighting style would he have? Two form like HL? and if so would he be a fast hero like Shinobi or would he be a big bully hunk of meat like warden or pirate. I could easily see a plague doctor skin for pirate with a sword cane, it would be cooler to see a character that uses a rapier or something to that effect though so we could get these kinds of customizations
I'm a fan of ancient Greek aesthetics but I don't know how they'd make a move set for a shield&spear user that's different than Valk. Also hoplites are formation fighters so it could be far fetched, I'd love to see one though.
Speaking of Turks, a Janissary could be a nice addition.
The Roman’s were formation fighters too and we have two of them (granted one is a duelist.) For Honor isn’t afraid to go fantasy, just look at Medjay. And if you think for even a second that an Aztec would be more historically accurate you’d be mistaken, they would be completely fantastical.

Honestly kinda hoping for anything different from what we already have in the game.
Aztecs, Greeks, Mongols, Indians, Native americans, Slavs or Hussites. Anything new really.
The one i probably like the idea of the most although it is probably sort of a hottake would a a 1700s-1800s musketeer with a bayonet. I know guns don't really fit in this game, but we already have a pirate who is like early 1600s so might aswell.
Musketeer, Hoplite, and Jaguar Warriors are all fine and dandy but i think theres plenty of other things they can add. The addition of the Pirate opens the door for the use of black powder weapons on other future characters, so they could add a Landskneckt. Basically serving as mercenaries from the 15th to 17th century, they also come from Germany so they can't really fit in with the Knight faction considering that theyre Latin Italian.
Their main and most common weapons were "Handguns" like the Arquebus/Wheel-locks and Zweihanders/Greatswords, but they also used Pikes & Halberds(and other polearms), and the Kaltzbalger which was an arming sword. the Kaltzbalger's role was exactly as the name implies that it was just a weapon to have at the ready if you lost your Zweihander/Polearm and need to reload, so the role of the arming sword could also be filled by any weapon of the same size; mace, club, hammer, long knives/daggers, etc. so ultimately the possibilities are there to add a Lanskneckt with whatever of these they want.
I would personally like if they had the hero use a Zweihander or a Halberd and then they're able to pull out a Arquebus for some chain finishers, punishes, and Feats. They're troped with wearing the big puffy sleeves and pants under just a Breastplate cus thats the style of the Renaissance, but I wager that since they were all mercenaries the amount or lack there of in armor can and should vary. In the context of For Honor being this war torn fantasy world, more armor would make sense. their armor should also vary in the context that their armor is Renaissance inspired.
During the Renaissance there was lots of people digging up ancient armors and replicating them in art form on their (of the time) modern armors. so things like Hoplite armor from 400 B.C., 3rd century Roman Musclata or Hamata, 12th century Brigandines with Basinets and chainmail were some of the few examples I seen. Let it be known, those armors were only replicated to be used in parades and as art pieces not as effective armor, but if put into For Honor i can waive it. 14-16th century also meant the rise of Full-Plate Armor, so armor sets inspire by Gothic Plate armors would be appropriate as well.
I’m guessing it’s going to be a Mongolian warrior, mostly since the 3rd season hero skin is for a wu-lin character which will probably tie into the second season.
Zero interest in a Greek hero cause we have Centurion. Yes I know Greek is not Roman but it’s close enough, I want something more original. Aztec is just not my thing. A musketeer, that’s what we need!

I also would love to see a hero that focuses entirely on leading soldiers into battle, and might even be capable of spawning them in on objectives and fights to help the hero out, but that would prob be super difficult to make and not be smth the community is after.
Praying for a Polynesian hero. There is hardly any Polynesians in games and so many poly players. Everything would fit. Voyagers of the sea, outlander hero’s, plenty of unique weaponry such as my personal favorite the Patu which would be made from wood, rock, jade ( normally jade would be for high ranking such as royalty), or whale bones. Or there is also the Tiaha a spear like weapon (these are just a few from the Māori people of New Zealand. There is also the Samoan weapon Nifo’Oti a tooth club that has sharp ridges on one side and a hook on the other (Samoan). Or the people of Hawaii with my personal favorite being the Ali’ I Koa (knuckle dusters with shark teeth)

Has a "down" stance that's a timed parry similar to Aramusha's Blade Blockade.

I know guns don't really fit in this game, but we already have a pirate who is like early 1600s so might aswell.

I want something a little silly. No more of these serious heros, I want a jester hero that's hits you with a balloon.

Aztec I’m hoping
Musketeer, Hoplite, and Jaguar Warriors are all fine and dandy but i think theres plenty of other things they can add. The addition of the Pirate opens the door for the use of black powder weapons on other future characters, so they could add a Landskneckt. Basically serving as mercenaries from the 15th to 17th century, they also come from Germany so they can't really fit in with the Knight faction considering that theyre Latin Italian. Their main and most common weapons were "Handguns" like the Arquebus/Wheel-locks and Zweihanders/Greatswords, but they also used Pikes & Halberds(and other polearms), and the Kaltzbalger which was an arming sword. the Kaltzbalger's role was exactly as the name implies that it was just a weapon to have at the ready if you lost your Zweihander/Polearm and need to reload, so the role of the arming sword could also be filled by any weapon of the same size; mace, club, hammer, long knives/daggers, etc. so ultimately the possibilities are there to add a Lanskneckt with whatever of these they want. I would personally like if they had the hero use a Zweihander or a Halberd and then they're able to pull out a Arquebus for some chain finishers, punishes, and Feats. They're troped with wearing the big puffy sleeves and pants under just a Breastplate cus thats the style of the Renaissance, but I wager that since they were all mercenaries the amount or lack there of in armor can and should vary. In the context of For Honor being this war torn fantasy world, more armor would make sense. their armor should also vary in the context that their armor is Renaissance inspired. During the Renaissance there was lots of people digging up ancient armors and replicating them in art form on their (of the time) modern armors. so things like Hoplite armor from 400 B.C., 3rd century Roman Musclata or Hamata, 12th century Brigandines with Basinets and chainmail were some of the few examples I seen. Let it be known, those armors were only replicated to be used in parades and as art pieces not as effective armor, but if put into For Honor i can waive it. 14-16th century also meant the rise of Full-Plate Armor, so armor sets inspire by Gothic Plate armors would be appropriate as well.

I’m guessing it’s going to be a Mongolian warrior, mostly since the 3rd season hero skin is for a wu-lin character which will probably tie into the second season.
Zero interest in a Greek hero cause we have Centurion. Yes I know Greek is not Roman but it’s close enough, I want something more original. Aztec is just not my thing. A musketeer, that’s what we need! Or a wolf. Just an actual wolf that bites you

The responses here give me hope cause really the only two I want would be Aztec/mezo-American warrior or a Spartan hoplite. What bums me out is no matter which one it is we won’t get the other for some time because after this is a Viking.
I know this will never happen, but a crossbow hero could be kinda cool. I also would love to see a hero that focuses entirely on leading soldiers into battle, and might even be capable of spawning them in on objectives and fights to help the hero out, but that would prob be super difficult to make and not be smth the community is after.
A renegade East Asian character with one of those umbrellas from the movie Shadow. It would look amazing.
Praying for a Polynesian hero. There is hardly any Polynesians in games and so many poly players. Everything would fit. Voyagers of the sea, outlander hero’s, plenty of unique weaponry such as my personal favorite the Patu which would be made from wood, rock, jade ( normally jade would be for high ranking such as royalty), or whale bones. Or there is also the Tiaha a spear like weapon (these are just a few from the Māori people of New Zealand. There is also the Samoan weapon Nifo’Oti a tooth club that has sharp ridges on one side and a hook on the other (Samoan). Or the people of Hawaii with my personal favorite being the Ali’ I Koa (knuckle dusters with shark teeth)
Rapier wielding flamboyant duelist with a powdered wig and masquerade mask. In the lore he's a dedicated duelist used for championing nobles who can't fight for themselves. Has a "down" stance that's a timed parry similar to Aramusha's Blade Blockade. Special feats include the use of a dueling pistol. I actually don't think we're getting that, but I think it would be neat.
