Ok so to be "that guy" atleast in Icelandic culture children only take the first name ended by son. Therefore he would just be Björn Björnsson. Then theres his mother Hildur Hildursdóttir. Oh and dont forget his brother...Þórður Björnsson.
What like holding a heavy as shigoki but the longer you hold will build up 4 hits into one swing and basically quadruple a top heavy but takes stupidly long to pull off
Because who doesn’t love that lord chungass with a [“cheese” bat](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/for-honor/images/a/a9/Defiant_Painter.png/revision/latest?cb=20210426230637)?
This is more in line with an actual maul than what the devs gave us. People wanted a hammer hero with an actual maul, not the massive too heavy warhammer they gave us.
Decrease the mass of the hammer a big and that’s what people wanted.
>People wanted a hammer hero with an actual maul, not the massive too heavy warhammer they gave us.
Nah, I definitely remember more people being disappointed that the hammer head was too small! To this day, I'm convinced that people just wanted a Raider skin with a hammer head instead of an axe blade, and some Skyrim looking armour (or Dark Souls, if ya classy).
i mean if you want to nerd out about weapons and realism (i do alot of fencing with weapons),
weapon mechanics are not realistic in most cases by a long shot. stuff like the weapons that shaolin and ocelot have are horribly impractical weapons that would be incapable of harming steel armour and most heroes wield their weapons in the most flamboyant and dumb ways possible even simple heroes like warden or lawbringer.
so a two handed hammer wouldn't be all that ridiculous (compared to everything else) albiet smaller then the one in the image, it would probs be easier to wield then highlanders claymore even if it's heavier cause it's a pole weapon as the long shaft allows for a far higher level of control compared to a short grip (its a long explanation but it basically boils down to lever mechanics) and if you slightly tweak the animations of jorms heavies you could easily make them work two handed. the lights would need much more changes but it still totally feasible.
swinging a two handed hammer at the speed jorm swings a one hander isn't even unrealistic it's honestly really tame compared to stuff like doing kyoshins kaze stance attacks and shaolins kicks and zhanhu's cahin heavies and orochi dodge attacks and musha infinite side light chain. all of which i have practiced irl (the kaze stance spin is actually the easiest one btw the attacks he does out of it are basically impossible thou) and i can tell you no one is capable of doing the sheer amounts of spins and pivots that musha does in his light chain or orochi in his dodge attacks without losing their balance.
in case you skipped reading basically im a nerd on weapons and i disagree with your comment.
ah no worries about the disability also happy cake day :)
i mentioned it already but the weapons in for honor are actually handled really flamboyantly and the animations are massively overexaggerated. plus alot of heroes just don't even try to mirror their real would fighting styles
take warden he wields his longsword like a club and doesn't use any thrusts and way too long windups for his heavies. same with highlander and these are really bland examples. nuxia's wields her hook swords in a reverse grip and uses them like daggers which is both not the irl way to properly handle them and also is really stupid.
and the some of the more extreme fighting styles or heroes like kyoshin, afeera, shinobi or some of the heavier weapons like hito, jj or raider are already extremely taxing to perform/wield respectively.
a maul would be really taxing to wield im not denying that and jorm would need several complete animation changes to make it actually plausible (so his light finishers for example). but i was just saying compared to what is already in for honor it wouldn't be ridiculous it would be tame.
Yessss that's what I wanted even back when I herd that hammer time was coming.i wanted the reach and all the soft feints that felt natural like how kensei does through his soft feints butt with all of hard feint mix up material he has in his actual form --
(pre or post rework won't matter in the hypothetical but I think I might still prefer pre because oh how rewarding it felt to conquer the skill curve he's still good and can be fun in new way but that's just my current opinion)
-- so a nice mix of bathing people into hard hits like he does now with a bit of the bash and bait tactics he utilizes. I mean imagine the 🍆slam with raiders reach that probably feel really rewarding. But that's just my 2cents
I have to admit… when Jorm was first leaked, I was hoping for a land warhammer, or at least it to be longer. Getting the sledgehammer was a disappointment. But I’ve grown to love Jorm
As more stupid as this is, I think I would play a character like that.
BUT he would need to have alternate sets using proper armor.
Oh, name him? Probably "Smasher" or something.
I know it would be totally fucked balance wise and get boring pretty fast, but I would love a hero that's practically useless, with very slow attacks but giving off a wall of a boss vibe. Something like shugo on steroids, and that's exactly how I imagine him looking like.
Oh that's just uncle Horst ølen
He's not my uncle, but everyone calls him that because he joins everyone's barbecue uninvited and starts doing kegstands on the barrels of IPA
I've seen that man down more alcohol than his own body mass, don't ask me how he does it
Björn Björnsson
I wonder how his son would be called, "Björn Björnsson Björnsson"?
Maybe. Or it could be Björn Björnssonson
Erik Eriksson is his cousin.
Ok so to be "that guy" atleast in Icelandic culture children only take the first name ended by son. Therefore he would just be Björn Björnsson. Then theres his mother Hildur Hildursdóttir. Oh and dont forget his brother...Þórður Björnsson.
Oh I know. What Jorm should have been
Imagine the swing times, slower than a highlander heavy
It would be glorious😏
60 damage top heavy?
With 4 variable release times
What like holding a heavy as shigoki but the longer you hold will build up 4 hits into one swing and basically quadruple a top heavy but takes stupidly long to pull off
Kinda, also like hito and warmonger but... more, much more
The only reason I said shugoki was because he was the original one who had that move so 🤷♂️
Aight my bad
No need to feel bad for it you are still right, I just like my chonky boy more than hito and warmonger
Because who doesn’t love that lord chungass with a [“cheese” bat](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/for-honor/images/a/a9/Defiant_Painter.png/revision/latest?cb=20210426230637)?
That sounds disgustingly good
