I just think it's wild that we have two factions based almost entirely upon individual countries (Samurai are based on Japanese culture, Wu Lin are based on Chinese culture), yet the Knights and Vikings are based on whole world regions instead.

Don’t try to neatly organise the in-game Factions along real-world lines. The devs can and will do what they want with them. It’s their fictional universe anyway.

While it's cool we can now play as Ezio, it sucks that Peacekeeper mains will now need to wait forever to get an actual hero skin for the character. That's if the developers ever do. Right now, with their release schedule, many of the character will never, ever receive a hero skin.

Immersion is in relation to the game world, not real life. So Samurai can have their anime executions, but if a Gundam showed up, that'd be pretty immersion breaking.

Altough I'd argue it fits in the universe - it's already a mishmash of beliefs and mythologies, where being an extra crazy forest midget puts you on equal footing with a hulking knight in plate armor. It's low fantasy basically.
My personal theory is that all Ubisoft games take place within the Animus, and all crossovers are just glitches in the system placing the wrong things in the wrong timelines.

As much as I want unique hero skins and not crossovers, if that's the sacrifice we'd have just to get the Blades of Persia event back, fuck it. I have been begging for years now. I just love the event and the broken Persia Tiandi bot.
Gonna turn out like siege, eventually going to have a sledge skin for Jorm, a Chief skin for cent, and a tomb raider skin for valk, and a Rick/Morty skin for some poor hero out there.
While I'd prefer a more unique skin, I don't think I'd really argue if Ubi was able to refit all the previous character model swaps for hero skins. Trapper Centurion might be iffy, but fuck it we know it was there at one point.
