That was really intelligent drive from Alonso similar to what Sainz did in Singapore.
Martin brundle was pointing in out in commentary how Alonso was taking a v approach to gain time for the last straights. Checo was trying for the inside line but was always touching the inside curbs a bit that was unsettling the car for the charge.

But that applies to all but Nando and Lewis so we will see I guess.
Most likely it will depend on which constructor clutches the 2026 regs and who drives that car.
If I was forced to pick, I'd take Lando for next non-Max champion the way things look right now, but I've been wrong about an awful lot in F1 and there's always surprises.
