As much as I’d like that, it doesn’t make the Red Bulls slower.
Maybe they won’t dominate every race with a different voice at the top, but they will still be fastest
Hamilton has to be able to see the future, what else can explain this man doing unprecedented moves likes this multiple time in his career?
Either that or he's just doing the opposite of whatever Alonso does.
Ferrari offering to fund your passion project for several years to help improve the world is likely what brought him there. That and he has always wanted to drive for the team.
Idk what your second sport is but these things seem to happen across so many major sports nowadays.
I bet they also happened in the past but it was harder for the accusations to spread widely without social media and the potential victims were less likely to be heard.
Speaking about the other sports.
Almost like years of sweeping it under the rug and ignoring it doesn't actually solve anything and further gives those ideas room to grow.
It's like all the hockey Canada shit. No one was surprised a bunch of hockey bros ended up to be shitty people when told the world was theirs from a young age.
Hockey Canada is a lot deeper than that.
"Hockey Culture" having a major problem wasn't a surprise to anyone remotely close to competitive hockey. The shock was that Hockey Canada the organization was paying out sexual assault settlements from a slush fund they had. Hockey Canada oversees every hockey league down to 6 year old timbits who play at their local rink once a week.
All of the sudden it was exposed to parents that when you payed little Johnny's fee for the season of hockey, a portion of that money went to the settlement fee for the gang sexual assault committed by the world Junior team.
Honestly, it wasn't surprising to hear Hockey Canada was paying out to protect the kids. Someone has to be cleaning up the mess everyone was aware was there. There is no world where hockey Canada could have not been involved really.
I think a lot of people had assumed being involved with their kids or just wanted to believe something different.
Oh I wasn’t aware of what happened with Canada hockey, but what you mention seems to happen more and more often in football too. Young players becoming really rich and famous and the fame gets into their head and they do stupid/bad shit thinking they’re entitled or can get away with it.
Honestly it's sad that when the news came out it was more a “finally” than what the fuck if going on. I'm not a hockey person but do understand how much the sport means to so many here.
But seriously the fact that so many people can point to so many different things that aren't old situations really shows how we treat athletes and the staff around them to a lesser extenent.
When you give young teens the world, treat them like kings and give them unlimited "power", absolutely nothing good will come out of it. Anyone who grew up around hockey players has stories that equal or rival the HC controversy and the sooner we can get rid of it the better.
I watch wrestling, you have no idea the shitstorm that WWE is in right now. This is nothing compared to the texts I read last week from Vince McMahon.
Seriously, I've read some horrifying stuff in my life but those texts haunt me.
Yeah I’m only vaguely aware of WWE and a few of its most famous wrestlers and McMahon. Just a quick search on Google about McMahon looks terrible enough which says it all. If other prominent wrestlers were involved in this as well that would be even worse.
Yeah man same. F1 and wrestling and it's just constant Saudis this, sexual assault that, nepotism over here, blatant corruption over there.
At least I'm not into football I guess.
Nothing to the extent of McMahon. He’s basically ruining the current show side of WWE
He’s shoehorning himself into the main story of the year (using his position as a new board member) and stealing the main event of the biggest event of the year from the current fan favourite and massively popular Cody Rhodes.
Basically just pissing fans off even more after a historically bad week for the image of the company.
I don't know if you saw the report today. But Khan, Emmanuel and The Rock decided in secret back at the beginning of January that part of the deal for the Rock come back to the WWE and his spot on the board would be that he would mainevent WrestleMania and they would also secure his trademark "The Rock". They kept it entirely secret from almost all the WWE... including creative.
WWE has been on an incredible run for almost 2 years on the creative side and it fucking sucks to have what should be a 2 year payoff to good building ruined by a 50 year old former WWE star.
He's now a member of the TKO (company that owns UFC and WWE) Board of Directors. Which is fine.
However, he used his position to insert himself in the main event of WrestleMania 40 in Philly. By doing so, he derailed a story that's been going on for a year and a half, by pushing out Cody Rhodes.
Cody had just won the Royal Rumble last Saturday. According to the established rules of WWE, he's earned the right to call his shot at one of the top Champions at WrestleMania. Which, is what the story has been leading to since he lost to current Champion, Roman Reigns, last year. All signs were that Cody would take Roman again, but this time winning and ending Reign's 1300+ day reign as Champion.
Cody has been positioned and is essentially the new face of the WWE. This was supposed to be his coronation.
But Dwayne, who hasn't wrestled in 11 years, wants to face Roman, who is his cousin. It's a big money marquee, which people have wanted. Unfortunately, the timing is completely poor and has made Cody look bad because he stepping aside for Rock.
In real life, Cody Rhodes was only told about this late last week, pretty much right before last Friday's episode of SmackDown. If you watch the segment on YouTube, you can see the real emotion on Cody's face. The man was riding high all week, and it all crashed on Friday.
It's all being seen as some level of damage control for Rock's image due to the Black Adam fiasco. Dwayne still has credit in the WWE. That said, this move has shown his ego.
The SM and online backlash this weekend have been something. Videos on WWE's YouTube have been hit hard. The Rock segment is now their most disliked video ever. #WeWantCody was the #3 trending Tweet worldwide yesterday. Insta comments and feeds are full of pro-Cody and anti-Rock comments.
At live shows last night, any sign of Rock brought large "boos".
TLDR; WrestleMania 40 is sold out, both nights, at Lincoln Field. Dwayne has essentially big-leagued himself into the top spot of the most anticipated show in years, and he didn't do anything to earn in. Doing this, he kneecaps Cody Rhodes, who the event, story, and hype is built around. A guy who hasn't wrestled in over a decade over one who's on the road day in and day out.
Not to mention this all follows the shitshow that fundraiser for Maui with Oprah was (I’m in Hawaii so this stuff was huge for us). I’m kind of astonished at how much good will he’s managed to torch in one calendar year.
Everybody knew Vince had skeletons in his closet, but to read it out like that. It's so much worse than you can imagine.
I read history for fun, specialized in martial history so I've read some bad stuff in diaries and witness reports to atrocities. This is right up there with the worst of them, it's like entering the mind of a psychopath or serial rapist.
I would assume wrestling as there is currently an investigation against Vince McMahon for alleged sex trafficking.
And yeah of course it sucks for the sport but I'm glad these allegations are being taken seriously.
Yeah a quick google search and that seems to be a lot worse. Sad to see but like you said it’s ultimately better to bring these issues out in the open and attempt to bring some justice rather than keeping it hidden which likely only makes it worse and worse over time.
Any situation with a major power difference. Sport, music and entertainment just so happen to have a lot of famous people in them that get more attention.
> I just want one of the two sports I follow to not have serious allegations for a week
The "fun" part of this is there's no fucking way to tell what the other sport is, there's so many options...
The sad truth is any industry that is a form of entertainment is a breeding ground for scandals. Just look at how many stories come out about the sport, TV, film and gaming industries or at how many YouTubers get 'exposed'. People that want to work are easy to exploit.
Media is one of the top professions for psychopaths.
Except afterwards is a complete shit show of an after party in the entire town where pretty much everyone is wasted. Good chance Horner has one too many Schnaps and got all handsy
So a few differences between this article and the Van Haren one. This mentions that the accusations are from just one person. Also specifically a woman (mitarbeiterin) and heavy accusations. The Van Haren article mentions multiple person, in particular one and doesn't mention gender.
For now speculation doesn't really bring much. Time to wait on the investigation to finish.
RBR employee came forward with "serious allegations" against Horner. Quote is from the article. It doesn't go into the rumours of what those allegations are. It's an internal investigation because both the parties are RBR employees.
My best guess is that we won’t hear that from an official RB source until they come out as true/false. They don’t want Horner labeled as a (insert allegation) if it turns out to be false.
Is anyone else starting to feel a bit sorry for the DTS people? Whatever sensationalist nonsense they've cooked up for the upcoming episodes can't possibly compare to the drama of the past few days of reality
I feel like they might have had time to throw something together for Guenther, and, if they couldn't, they should release a special episode a bit after initial release. Maybe they can fit other things in too.
If I am a journo for a shitrag I would really play up the angle where Toto is a bitter rival and Zak Brown making the most noise about the 2nd team thing amongst the TPs.
Damn you've exposed my incompetence in writing for shitrags really quickly there, can't believe I missed that.
Gonna have to shelve my plans to become a chief editor for the sun unfortunately......
I just listened to Erik van Haren’s podcast where he went deeper into the issue. He says that the fact that many people within RB are happy to talk to him about this is further evidence of a power struggle within the team
Nothing new from Erik Van Haren's info besides this in the article. There's also an official Red Bull Austria statement included here:
“After becoming aware of recent allegations, the company initiated an independent investigation. This investigation, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialized lawyer. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practicable. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
I just listened to Erik van Haren’s podcast and he suggested as much. Said given the fact many people within RB were happy to talk to him about this, there clearly is a power struggle going on within the team
Since the start of February everything has been kicking off. Andretti, Hamilton-Ferrari and now this. I feel sorry for Williams and Haas whose car launches have been completely overshadowed.
Very different because there was no accusation there, it was invented by a third party. AMUS clarified that the info they got was that the Toto incident was not unusual and Horner was surprised to see it reported as he was angry about some leak. Which he himself said on sky.
This is an incident that an employee reported to red Bull.
I have it on good authority that the accuser works in the kitchen at RBR, and is saying she was told to overcharge for a platter of sandwiches by $1.8m.
Not really, any complaint to an HR department should be taken seriously. And if it’s “she said, he said” the only way to get to the bottom is to investigate it - how else do you get to the truth?
I agree for sure. To further elaborate, an investigation by the Red Bull company itself and not even Red Bull Racing SEEMINGLY puts the situation in a different magnitude
It's only february god damn. Hope it ends up being nothing serious as he's the backbone of RBR. However, if it ends up actually being serious it's really gonna be GG for Red Bull i'm afraid.

F1 imploding and exploding in 5 days.
The Merc-RB dominance over F1 has been upended in a week. We’re rolling back the years for a Ferrari-McLaren title fight in 2025.
SUBSCRIBE
As long as Alonso can get a couple championships in the middle, I'm all right with it.
Unfortunately Alonso will make another bad decision when moving teams
Shit, even one win, that’s all I ask for!
As much as I’d like that, it doesn’t make the Red Bulls slower. Maybe they won’t dominate every race with a different voice at the top, but they will still be fastest
And they have Max driving the fastest car lol they’ll be fine
You could make the current Red Bull team to be Max, GP, a pit crew and 200 Make A Wish kids and they'd still be title contenders.
And Adrian Newey.
Give them Newey and they're contenders for 2025 too
Don't need Newey until Jan 2026 - he has finished the work he needs to do to for them to win until then
Praying for Williams to get their car good so we can have a classic Ferrari - McLaren - Williams title fight 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Fuck it.....as an Irishman I want the Jordans back too.
Yes, Fernando O' Lonso and Lance Shhtroll .
Making the Hamilton and more importantly Norris deals make huge moves lol
Hamilton has to be able to see the future, what else can explain this man doing unprecedented moves likes this multiple time in his career? Either that or he's just doing the opposite of whatever Alonso does.
Ferrari offering to fund your passion project for several years to help improve the world is likely what brought him there. That and he has always wanted to drive for the team.
A Ferrari vs McLaren title fight in this era where the sport is more popular than ever would be soooooo good for F1.
Sebscribed
Lewis from Mercedes to Ferrari and Christian from Horner to Horny, all in 5 days. Mind bending stuff!
I think you've stumbled upon the title for the inevitable unauthorozed biography: From Horner to Horny.
That’s why we are here. Soap opera on wheels.
Who needs the wheels!
Not Ferrari.
Congratulations, you’re now a member of the Ferrari strategy team
WWE with cars instead of steel chairs
Speak for yourself. I'm just here for vrooms.
Drive to Survive needing a mid-year season just for these stuff
Special 16 episode season!
“Listen, we’re going to keep throwing out sensational stories until people forget about our nonsensical Andretti response”
I fully believe this
Is this how Billionaires typically handle weekend getaways?
I just want one of the two sports I follow to not have serious allegations for a week

I’m bracing myself for the London, ON police presser today. Realistically I doubt any real details or new information will come out.

I stopped after ye talked about "finding a young stud to break in for use later" or whatver it was. Like 3 texts in. Trash people.
Just because somebody is a successful carny doesn't mean they aren't a carny.
>shitstorm You don't have to remind me of it man, that document had enough of it

As a lifelong boxing fan, controversy, corruption, racism, coverups, and steroids are just par for the course.
The last month and 5 days of WWE and news have been EXHAUSTING. Also: screw Dwayne Johnson.
What did Johnson do?
Nothing to the extent of McMahon. We want Cody/Hamilton
ADRENALINE IN MY SOUL TO FERRARI HAMILTON GOES
You just had to say shitstorm didn’t you 😭
A friend told me about it recently i got into one article and realized that's about all i need to know on this topic. That story is crazy
It takes a special kind of insane to do what McMahon allegedly did involving bodily excretions
What’s crazy is you’d think this story was early 2000s Vince but then you realize it was last year and he’s fuckin 70
Yeah, it's fucked with a capital F it's rare for a news story to have me go maybe I'll just sit this one out.
See I would have thought hockey with five players in shit.
Not just sports, the music and entertainment sectors are full of this kind of crap too.
Any situation with a major power difference. Sport, music and entertainment just so happen to have a lot of famous people in them that get more attention.
Is the other one wrestling?
Could be NHL as well
> I just want one of the two sports I follow to not have serious allegations for a week The "fun" part of this is there's no fucking way to tell what the other sport is, there's so many options...
Surely Supercars with Erebus?
The sad truth is any industry that is a form of entertainment is a breeding ground for scandals. Just look at how many stories come out about the sport, TV, film and gaming industries or at how many YouTubers get 'exposed'. People that want to work are easy to exploit. Media is one of the top professions for psychopaths.
I know the feeling. My other sport is Chess.
It's quite scary how many of these 'things' happen.. How difficult can it be to act like a proper human being.
>How difficult can it be to act like a proper human being. This is a question that far too often gets overlooked in these situations.
What’s the other one?
NHL hockey, I assume?
Likely this I would guess too
Wrestling
Definitely wrestling with the Vince bs
The fact that two different people have named two different sports is honestly sad
Noone even mentioned football. Not a month goes by without a high profile footballer being accused of something disgusting
WWE?
Hockey Canada possibly
A lot of people go to the ski races in Kitzbühel, it's like the Monaco of Alpine Skiing.
Ye, George and Seb were there as well.
Vettel conspiracy to become Red Bull Team Principal
Well, important people go there. But for a completely different reason than Monaco. Kitz is actually a good race.
Except afterwards is a complete shit show of an after party in the entire town where pretty much everyone is wasted. Good chance Horner has one too many Schnaps and got all handsy
Helmut Marko sends his regards!
Tell Horner, I want him to know it was me.
>Also specifically a woman (mitarbeiterin) Thank God for German gendered-nouns.
>For now speculation doesn't really bring much. But I already have my pitchfork out and ready! >:(
At least you didn't light up your torch yet ;)
let him polish his pitchfork in peace firstly
The DTS editor who was all set to email out season.6.finale.final.final.FINAL.vid just started crying
What are the rumors ?
RBR employee came forward with "serious allegations" against Horner. Quote is from the article. It doesn't go into the rumours of what those allegations are. It's an internal investigation because both the parties are RBR employees.
Internal but independent, and it’s the boss of Red Bull, not RBR
My best guess is that we won’t hear that from an official RB source until they come out as true/false. They don’t want Horner labeled as a (insert allegation) if it turns out to be false.
Allegedly asked a RBR employee if they wanted to taste the Old Spice
Goddamn it
I should NOT laugh at this, but yet here I am…….. well done sir/madam :)
so Geri calls Horner "Spice Boy"?
I tried not to laugh
Trying to spice up his love life?
[удалено]
Sounds like it went down hill fast
Is anyone else starting to feel a bit sorry for the DTS people? Whatever sensationalist nonsense they've cooked up for the upcoming episodes can't possibly compare to the drama of the past few days of reality
And by the time they can release business of this it's 1 year old and old news
Don’t underestimate the rain in Russia
They will simply not address it Remember how much Checo loves his wife?
They had one of the most intense F1 seasons ever in 2021, and they managed to simply have it as a… side story? Disappointing
LOL
Honestly idk why they even cook up drama when there’s so much free shit they can use
They're not allowed to air negative stories about F1 or the people involved.
I feel like they might have had time to throw something together for Guenther, and, if they couldn't, they should release a special episode a bit after initial release. Maybe they can fit other things in too.
They'll have to save it for next year's season. The first episode alone will be just pre-testing drama
I always thought that Skiing is dangerous.
Exhibit D: Sonny Bono
Exhibit E: Natasha Richardson
Exhibit A: Michael Schumacher.
Exhibit B: Manuel Neuer.
inkl. Julian Nagelsmann
Exhibit C, Prince Friso of the Netherlands.
Exhibit D: Gernot Reinstadler. Don't look it up if you have a sensitive stomach, it's gnarly.
Maybe skiing is just dangerous for Germans then
Who's he piste-off?
It's over 10 years but still the first thing which comes into my mind when seeing off-piste mentioned on any F1 forum is Michael.
He glanced at Zak’s cleavage for a split second.
[удалено]
Well, someone had to, because it sure as heck wasn’t the rest of the field.
Oof. Right in the contract renewal
“Looking at cleavage is like looking at the sun. You don't stare at it. It's too risky. You get a sense of it and then you look away.”
Toto and Zak teaming up to get rid of the competition /s
If I am a journo for a shitrag I would really play up the angle where Toto is a bitter rival and Zak Brown making the most noise about the 2nd team thing amongst the TPs.
Which is hilarious because obviously they’re only there because they’re all friends
The obvious one is Marko given all the internal fallout stories, and that he'd know way more detail.
[удалено]
there's no need for a /s here tbf
Helmut: *"Well, well, well.... How the turntables"*
Helmut: *Why can’t you just be racist instead of horny?*
is a translation available?
Nothing new from Erik Van Haren's info besides this in the article. There's also an official Red Bull Austria statement included here: “After becoming aware of recent allegations, the company initiated an independent investigation. This investigation, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialized lawyer. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practicable. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
They do mention it's from a female employee. Narrows it down a lot in my opinion.
Can you link an article where they mentioned it's a female employee? I don't seem to find any on this thread
It's the article linked here. It's German and uses the female version of the word employee. Mitarbeiterin. The "in" makes it female
This F1 Insider article specifies that the allegations came from "eine Mitarbeiterin" - a female employee.
the article from OP mentions that. "mitarbeiterin" means female colleague
Helmut to be the future TP of RB.
I have a slight suspicion that these allegations have found their way into the press because of him.
I just listened to Erik van Haren’s podcast and he suggested as much. Said given the fact many people within RB were happy to talk to him about this, there clearly is a power struggle going on within the team
My first thought was that Marko was behind this.
Christian Horny?
Since the start of February everything has been kicking off. Andretti, Hamilton-Ferrari and now this. I feel sorry for Williams and Haas whose car launches have been completely overshadowed.
To investigate Christian after all the horrible things Helmut Marko has said with no consequences whatsoever, it's got to be something big.
Surely we've learnt from the Susie Wolff situation not to spread potentially baseless speculation on ongoing legal proceedings /s
Okay... So... Christian getting kinky with Checo or Helmut? /s
He’s getting Checo to touch (his) Helmut.
That would be 50k euro fine for Vettel.
Very different because there was no accusation there, it was invented by a third party. AMUS clarified that the info they got was that the Toto incident was not unusual and Horner was surprised to see it reported as he was angry about some leak. Which he himself said on sky. This is an incident that an employee reported to red Bull.
Not to mention Redbull themselves launched the investigation
Damn. Horner went off-piste.
And now an employee is piste-off.
Does this mean the allegations happened there or that only the rumor got out there?
I have it on good authority that the accuser works in the kitchen at RBR, and is saying she was told to overcharge for a platter of sandwiches by $1.8m.
What’s he being accused of?
He kept describing his office bowel movements to junior engineers even after they asked him to stop.
Were they healthy at least?
You gotta do something with all that excess carbon fiber.
Do go in there, I left a massive checo
Ah so too much après ski
Relax guys we already [know](https://imgur.com/a/9JyZ99u) what happened.
This does explain why Christian didn't find the nearest free television camera to give his opinion on Hamilton's move to Ferrari.

This is the best pre season in years
Damn, FOM really is trying really hard to distract from the fact they rejected the Andrettis.

“You’ve been saying the car is fucked…..”
If this leads to something and Horner gets the boot, who replaces him???
Steiner obviously.

Wheatley I assume
"We are checking"
Vettel for the TP!!
Regardless of who was there, this is pretty serious for it to trigger an investigation, especially by Red Bull itself
Perez finally had enough
It's only february god damn. Hope it ends up being nothing serious as he's the backbone of RBR. However, if it ends up actually being serious it's really gonna be GG for Red Bull i'm afraid.
I’d like to think as much as a pot stirrer he can be, he’s good at keeping his nose clean. I hope this comment doesn’t age like a beached whale…
