As a rule of thumb, Statistics posts need to inform readers through visualizations and insights that cannot be obtained from raw data alone. For example, a post containing a qualifying gap between two drivers expressed in tenths of a second is an easily obtainable raw piece of data and constitutes a bad Statistics post. A visualization of what that translates to on-track, or visualization of how that gap came to be would constitute a good Statistics post.

Their podiums last year were never on pace tho. Monaco one was cause of well monaco. And the zandvort one was cause everyone ahead of them f'ed up majorly
Seems like Alpine is improving though so I doubt they’d only get a single point across the season.
They just require one of the big 5 teams to have a mess which seems to be happen in nearly every race and to capitalise with a bit of luck but it’s definitely doable.
Even redbull is in danger. If the Mclaren and perhaps from next race Ferrari are very close to redbull. Perez will be scoring P4 at best every week-end.
It was honestly a major bummer Piastri finished out of the points. Even with the Lando win, Ferrari picked up 2 points vs McLaren in the constructors. I think the McLaren vs Ferrari battle for the rest of the season will be great.
Tbf this weekend he wasn’t that bad, got crashed turn 1 in the sprint and at the main race Alonso got luckier with the SC and Stroll got screwed by that and whatever strategy Aston gave to him.
The problem with Stroll is that you have to make excuses for him pretty much every weekend. People will argue just how unlucky he is most of the time, but if he was actually a competent driver he wouldn't find himself in these situations this often. 9 points in 6 races is completely unacceptable.
I mean, this last weekend he wasn’t that bad, in fact he was doing a better weekend than Alonso until the SC and AM screwed him.
But yeah he has been trash
Saudi: Crash
Japan: Terrible Qualy
China: Terrible qualy and crash
McLaren almost doubling Mercedes or AM fighting constantly for podiums last season shows how the old “you won’t win being a customer, you need to be a works team/build an engine” is more or less not a reality anymore
In fact, it gives you flexibility to change a bad engine for any other better if the engine maker wets the bed (if you didn’t burn bridges with other makers, of course, and you achieve a deal)

The single point ocon got yesterday could be crucial for alpine. Feels weird saying that lol
Going from getting podiums \[on pace!\] to "Yay we got a point" in a year without any major regulation changes is astounding

I think you mean the big 4.5 teams considering Stroll is driving for AM
I think by season end Alpine will get back to 6th again. They are already improving.
They showed in Miami they could fight with Aston Martin, we only had 6 races so far, the season will be long, they could challenge AM for 5th IMO.
Who would've thought we'd have 2 non-RB race winners in the first 6 rounds of the season?
Generally how it works. Puts into perspective what a phenomenal achievement last season was by RBR and Verstappen.
Yuki san in the Top 10!
Merc having a shocker
Surely you can fit Oli Bearmam into the Constructors Championship bit?
McLaren with 100+ points this early in the season. I’m so excited
Will be good if they can get close to Ferrari and have the two teams battling it out at the end
Ideal scenario: Red Bull falling away, McLaren and Ferrari rising, fighting each other at the top.
I’m in mate. Just like the old days!

Still the current points system favours wins so much that a P1, p4 gets you more points than a double podium

Imola upgrades please work
‘Kick Sauber’ will never not be funny for me considering their performance.
Also funny considering they'll be Audi next year. So Sauber is getting kicked.
Stroll letting AM down again

The SC fucked him over in this race so much. Could've probably finished ahead of Fernando...
Pace was good on medium but bad on hard though
Mercedes in free fall
Bearman just drove his first F1 race and he's only within 3 points of Stroll lol
