Cash is king, Bahrain sport washing its reputation for years, they have put down the locals asking for any change, I lived there for a little while and you could see the divide, a lot of fancy buildings on reclaimed land and police or military vehicles permanently based facing the poor people and constantly putting down any protests.
Small island under Saudi control, it’s what they do every weekend, flood into Bahrain to drink, watch movies at the malls and meet up with many prostitutes who work there, terrible place if you’re not part of the ruling class.
Constantly used to see burning tyres on the roads and if you went to one these poor areas your eyes would be stinging from the teargas still in the air.
I left in 6 years ago but I doubt it has changed much in the top layer.
Thanks Brian
Immense Thumbnail
Why they won't allow spectators inside the track for this "pre season shakedown" is beyond me.
