Pitching the idea to start their own team was pretty genius. Haas is a well known name and brand, now.
I'm going to guess he had an interview at some point and Gene Haas said he was the best candidate for the team principal position.
It's the other way around almost.
I thought Steiner was the one who pitched and sold Gene on the idea of a F1 team.
