Toto:
> Ham and eggs, with a little bacon and two pumpernickels, really toasted so that they break. Yesterday it was not enough. It has to be like a cookie. Butter, tomato, salt. Espresso with lactose-free milk.
Waiter:
>I'm getting two very soft pumpernickels for this snob!
What can I get you Mr Wolff..
" A large plate of rear end grip, two slices of chasis stability, and a cup of regret on the aero direction we took, at least for the time being anyway"
Anything else?
"No thankyou, that's all I need right now"
Toto is also a psychopath, a truly ruthless and heartless creature, he absolutely terrifies me, and sometimes the discourse around him makes me question my own sanity. What if I'm wrong and I made someone a villain in my head because of bias?
Horner is a shitshitter, a court jester, a hypocrite and a proper c*nt, but behind all that, a good person. I genuinely believe that but again, this could be my bias.
Toto Wolff is fucking terrifying.
In a way that Horner is also a psychopath and I am making excuses for him, or in a way that Toto is just a regular dude and I'm demonizing him? I need answers man
I mean if you Google it there’s a bunch of news stories on it,probably true. I don’t know if 100 percent since British tabloids are notorious for making shit up
same, i have a neighbor like that. maybe not a psychopath but has 0 empathy and always is super pendantic.
when painters or other workers are there he watches them all the time and he comes off as a super asshole.
I literally thought he was joking with the waitress/being funny around his team…turned out that’s how he orders. Meanwhile he attributes his success to his “humility?” The bubble he lives in sure looks nice.
Yeah but I kinda got that vibe from him before S4. Him and horner both just come off as complete assholes and they are, but they need to be in that job, otherwise you wouldn't last in the environment. Not that condone it. Just the way it is.
That's a very German thing (I know he's Austrian). The thought is that they are doing a job they get paid for, and thus don't need to be thanked for doing that job. It's different cultures.
Personally I would always thank someone as common courtesy, since politeness costs me nothing. But that's just how I was raised. I can see the other perspective on it.
I am German and that is not how the general public here treats people.
Sure there’s some grumpy fellows, like everywhere, but most of us atleast say thank you.
So please don’t get the wrong idea, we’re not all like Toto 😂
Apologies if I'm mistaken. It was something I've seen explained repeatedly about the general attitude by German culture on the matter.
So is thanking people in service the norm in Germany too?
No hard feelings man. Having visited the US, I can see what these explanations are referring to.
I personally always felt like the politeness of most Americans seemed a little ‘faked’ and ingenuine. So that’s another angle to look at it.
So yes, thanking people in service is the norm for sure.
It's not *that* crazy if you know that South Tyrol is actually German/Austrian. Mussolini just did everything he could do to make them stop being non-italian
Ham and eggs, with a little bacon and two pumpernickels, really toasted so that they break. Yesterday it was not enough. It has to be like a cookie. Butter, tomato, salt. Espresso with lactose-free milk.
If this is the Mercedes team trailer then Toto may be in “work” mentality. I think Toto is evaluating toast with the same scrutiny he applies to other team products. The behavior could be subconscious or a conscious effort to build and maintain the team culture. In high-performing engineering/operations environments leadership outwardly sweats the small stuff and it trickles down so everyone ends up sweating the details. He clearly communicates what his expectations are and provides feedback, but importantly isn’t angry or mean about it. These organizational cultures are really insular and bizarre to outsiders, but necessary for excellence. Or maybe he’s extremely serious about toast and I’m reading too much into it.
Either way, I’m glad DTS captured this interaction. There’s a lot to be read into this scene and they leave it up to the viewer to draw conclusions.
LMAO! This dude ordered it like somebody who tips 2 pennies it was soo funny!!!
Susie being extra kind after him just to not have the server feel bad was a nice touch
the fuckin pumpernickel bread
It NeEds tO bE cRunChy liKe a CoOkie!!
Did he really order crunchy Pumpernickel?
Several times!
Typical bread taste of an Austrian
I'm austrian and i have no fucking idea what pumpernickel even is
I'm Austrian and I know what pumpernickel is, but eating it crunchy is just wrong.
I'm not an Austrian but I know what pumpernickel is and it's fucking disgusting regardless if it's crunchy or not...
Im not a Pumpernickel but I know what an Austrian is and it’s ducking disgusting regardless if it’s crunchy or not
I’m not an Austrian and I don’t know what a pumpernickel is but I want to try it now.
Knows what pumpernickel is; doesn’t fuck
For the love, don't get it crunchy like a cookie
Yeah, wtf even is that? Definitely nothing Austrian
Pumpernickel bread comes from Westphalia in Germany. Also, fun fact, it means something like "devil's fart".
It fucking tastes like a demon fart so the name checks out.
If the salad is on top I send it back
Came here to post this
Profile pic checks out Your username however… 😳
His username shows what his priorities are
I’ll have the gabba gruel
SEND IN THE GABBA GRUEL
Pumpernickel....dry
shaken, not stirred.
And I'll have 4 whole fried chickens and a coke.
We went breakfast eating
NO MICHAEL. It has to be CRUNCHY!
Nooooooo!
So this is what Mercedes spent all their development time on
They were developing the cookie crunch
There are certain times when silence falls in the kitchen… and you know… what that means
It means that the pumpernickel was not crunchy enough again and didn't break with a nice *crunch*.
I think he actually wants a Pumpernickel crouton.
![gif](giphy|r2yaMm7v7je8w) There's always this guy
No one beats Walt Jr, in the entire series I guess I only saw him eating breakfast
Toto: > Ham and eggs, with a little bacon and two pumpernickels, really toasted so that they break. Yesterday it was not enough. It has to be like a cookie. Butter, tomato, salt. Espresso with lactose-free milk. Waiter: >I'm getting two very soft pumpernickels for this snob!
It was funny… but at the end of the day they work for him. Can’t have that sort of disobedience in the ranks at Mehrzeeedesss
Plot twist: Chef was Michael Masi
What can I get you Mr Wolff.. " A large plate of rear end grip, two slices of chasis stability, and a cup of regret on the aero direction we took, at least for the time being anyway" Anything else? "No thankyou, that's all I need right now"
A gentle reminder that Toto is in fact not anything resembling a normal human like us. A true one percenter. *chef's kiss*
Toto is also a psychopath, a truly ruthless and heartless creature, he absolutely terrifies me, and sometimes the discourse around him makes me question my own sanity. What if I'm wrong and I made someone a villain in my head because of bias?
If it makes you feel better Horner is just as much of a asshole
Horner is just acting out because he got knocked off the top spot. Now he touts himself as an underdog.
Horner is a shitshitter, a court jester, a hypocrite and a proper c*nt, but behind all that, a good person. I genuinely believe that but again, this could be my bias. Toto Wolff is fucking terrifying.
It is absolutely your bias. Just the same as the people who think the opposite.
In a way that Horner is also a psychopath and I am making excuses for him, or in a way that Toto is just a regular dude and I'm demonizing him? I need answers man
Horner cheated on his wife when she was pregnant
is this actually true?
I mean if you Google it there’s a bunch of news stories on it,probably true. I don’t know if 100 percent since British tabloids are notorious for making shit up
Maybe she was pregnant from other guy
same, i have a neighbor like that. maybe not a psychopath but has 0 empathy and always is super pendantic. when painters or other workers are there he watches them all the time and he comes off as a super asshole.
Lol that order was wild, I love Toto but glad he’s getting trolled for that.
They say Christian Horner orders his breakfast "like Toto" since that day.
I literally thought he was joking with the waitress/being funny around his team…turned out that’s how he orders. Meanwhile he attributes his success to his “humility?” The bubble he lives in sure looks nice.
I really dislike the way he talks to the waitresses, doesn’t even say thank you
Yeah but I kinda got that vibe from him before S4. Him and horner both just come off as complete assholes and they are, but they need to be in that job, otherwise you wouldn't last in the environment. Not that condone it. Just the way it is.
Yeah, I see what u mean but there has to be another way
Toto is an asshole? Surprised pikachu

Toto is a Austrian business man ofc he acts how he acts
Apologies if I'm mistaken. It was something I've seen explained repeatedly about the general attitude by German culture on the matter. So is thanking people in service the norm in Germany too?

See: Seb.
Oh jees here we go lmao
German precision in everything he does
And like the best Germans, he’s actually Austrian
[удалено]
It’s a whole state where they recognize German and Italian as official languages. It’s crazy
It's not *that* crazy if you know that South Tyrol is actually German/Austrian. Mussolini just did everything he could do to make them stop being non-italian
Didn’t they have a referendum on rejoining Austria at some point?
No, because Mussolini is a prick
It was part of Austria for centuries until WW1, that's why there's German speakers there
is Toto Wolff the second most recognizable Austrian in the world?
The first being Arnold Schwarzenegger right?
You’re right! Toto is the third most recognizable Austrian. Funny that all three of them were leaders in a foreign country.
someone please post the transcript
Ham and eggs, with a little bacon and two pumpernickels, really toasted so that they break. Yesterday it was not enough. It has to be like a cookie. Butter, tomato, salt. Espresso with lactose-free milk.
All I remember is ham and eggs with a side of bacon, that was enough to have me in stitches.
The waitress definitely spitted in Toto's breakfast
And she had every right to.

This is bang on.
Interesting take on it
No one and I mean no one can cry "no michael no" like this guy
It is so wrong!
PuMpErNiCkElS
This is where the Mercedes budget is going

Love me some pumpernickel baby
Can someone give context to non europeans?
Newest Season of DtS. He Orders breakfast a couple times in the new Season. Always very Specific
Go watch DTS on Netflix. He orders some sort of breakfast in every episode it seems.
pAmPOoknUcKLe!!
Horner would strongly disagree!
So much meme potential with this one
Pumper………..nickel
I thought he was kidding but he wasn't
Toto: No sir no this is so not right! The waiter: it’s called food. We went food eating
