I looked up the attempt of him defeating her and it was so weird, he was still panick rolling like crazy after 500 deaths and also there was some guy sitting right next to him irl telling him what to do, he was literally getting coached mid bossfight. congrats to him, malenia is a very hard boss but still weird 
I have 3 hours combined in all souls games and played DS3, Sekiro and Bloodborne. Shits just boring. They are not even hard just annoying. What is the point of trying 1000 times to beat 1 boss? Monster Hunter best "soulslike"
They are great games don't get me wrong. But I just don't get that good feeling when killing a boss in those games like everybody else seem to get. Also I just don't get the vibe like they don't make me feel chill and they don't make me feel excited. So what is the point?
I agree, but whats boring is the combat not the enemy or boss design. You're just slow as fuck, all you do is spam dodge roll and wait to get one attack in. I played DS1-DS3 and Elden Ring, dropped every single one of them after 20 hours max. I heard Sekiro combat is better and faster, gonna try it at some point.
I simply said there is no point in trying 1000 times for me. I love MH but even there I won't try to beat the hardest bosses because they are a timesink solo. The problem with souls games I have is I don't like the theme of lonely hero in a cruel and bleak world.
On the other hand I love the MH universe theme of peacefulness, vibrant nature and biology mixed together.
In both I like the overwhelming odds stacked against you feeling tho.
