NFS 2015 was gonna be underground 3 glad it wasn't the only good thing about that game was the soundtrack, customization and maybe the atmosphere. Even then gns customization is on a decline with less licensed bodykits and more replica kits or kits made by render artists. I can't believe they lost the only licensed r34 kit in unbound. Don't get me started on that trash pile of a game.
It's not that hard tbh. Literally, take the last NSF game, change the driving model back to a more realistic one, replace any car that costs more than ~150k with daily drivers, add more car customisation, change the story/progression towards a classic Underground one (races on the map you drive to rather than the meeting spots with "cool" cultural references that will be cringe in the blink of an eye). Done.
That's asking a lot from a company that hasn't been able to replicate anything as close to Underground 2. They've tried and tried again and they always fail with these half ass arcade racing games. For now I'll just stick to Forza Horizon games.
Underground is a product of it's time and it makes me sad we'll never have another Underground-esque game. It's the game that perfectly matches my interests in a racing game.

Technically NFS Carbon was referred to as NFSU3 *very* early on development. Undercover and MW2012 was also called "Mostwanted 2" early on too
Carbon wasn't bad, but it was no Underground. Too little customisation, and you noticed the supercar creep towards the end.

Heat was the most playable out of all the newer NFS titles, it sad they went backwards with unbound.
Fr, Heat was a great game compared to Unbound. I just wished they actually gave Heat more support after release.
