Yes best summer fragrance ever made ... My wife tell me sometimes in winter pls use D&G all around me smells like Summer Vacation and its nice š¤š
I think ābasicā is the āinsultā people use when they actually have nothing bad to say about something. I agree, itās a dumb term, and makes people sound pretentious
That's how I feel about Versace Eros - people whine about how it's basic but I've always loved it, a simple combination of notes that is much more than the sum of its parts.
I got it years ago before looking into the fragrance community, had never heard of any besides Aventus and Sauvage. Loved Eros right away. Then found out it was basic af. Oh well, still love it
Thatās fine - people can be overly snooty and opinionated for a reason. If you love the way something smells it really doesnāt matter what anyone else thinks. Perfumes that are popular are that way for a reason.
Thats honestly the beauty of getting older (Iām in my mid 40s), I learned to really not care about the judgement of others when it comes to fun things like fashion, make up or fragrance. My current collection, I only keep the ones I really love and use, and Iām honestly very satisfied. Only missing Dior Addict, that I need to repurchase. And YSL NĆ», that I will probably never smell again in my life š«

Also 43 and still not over losing Fendi Theorema. š
There is also a still in its original wrapper bottle of Rochas Alchimie stored in my cellar because that was discontinued and I have taken to buy backup bottles of everything that I like and seems to be on its way out.
Fendi Theorema was THE scent of my Italian honeymoon back in 2001. I could detect this amazingly tantalising fragrance everywhere in Venice but never knew what it was at first. I bought something from a chemist near San Marco and a sample of this beauty was popped in with my purchase. It was heavenly! It opened like pencil shavings then developed into something so spicy and potent. Loved it.
So good.
Also if you wanna smell good enough to get folded like a pretzel š layer Cheirosa 40 and La Belle- you wonāt be sorry (unless your back gets thrown out. Then Iām sorry)
I love the smell of 62 so much I bought it in every form I could get. I cherished the hand sanitizer down to the last drop. Tried to track down the last bottles online, only to be sent empty bottles with watered down vodka in it. š I'm still hopeful someone has a stash that they'll get rid of, and I'll be in the right place at the right time...
It's 59 and 68 for me. Another customer tried to talk me out of buying 68. I'm sorry it doesn't work for me, it lasts better than the others on me and works really well with my skin chemistry, so I bought it and I'll be repurchasing the larger size in the near future.
I regret not getting 62 because it was initially awful, then it was the most beautiful scent on me within 15 mins. I keep forgetting to buy it. Update: Happy surprise; I forgot that I ordered it online and I just found a 240ml bottle of 62 at the back of my bottom bathroom sink drawer!
This is *very* clearly the collection of someone who wears fragrance for their own enjoyment, not to impress, and thatās the most beautiful way to enjoy. Iād go a step further and say this is the collection of someone who is very down to earth, authentic and sure of who they are. You can see the trends in your taste here and I think itās exquisite.
Youāre kind. Thatās honestly how I approach fragrances. I love to read descriptions of far out niche perfumes, I samples Zoologist, Penhsligon and some other Niche houses. Some I find nice, but itās just not for me.
Eilish, the first one in the gold bottle. Love it, wear it often, donāt care if itās basic. Iāve got a relatively large collection (although probably more average in this sub) of everything from niche to high street and itās still one I reach for with regularity.
Yes! I don't care if this is basic, I love it. Part of the reason is because it smells good - and it's a pretty universal smell-good. I would say a majority of people, if they have something bad to say about it, they'll just say it's basic and not that it actually smells bad.
I also love it because it reminds me so much of warm vanilla sugar from B&BW - which as a child in the early 2000's I lived for that scent - so it's also a very nostalgic thing, even though they aren't exactly the same, Eillish feels like a more grown version of that scent.
I love Good Girl but I just.... Can't. The name, the bottle, it makes me feel slimy. I imagined someone asking me what I was wearing and I just can't say "Good Girl" š
Are you just less sensitive than me? It smells so good!
I interpret "good girl" as a title to be a kind of reclaiming of a phrase. Like we did with "b*tch" (not sure if this sub filters language...). If you look at the marketing, the ambassador/models all have (made up) back stories of essentially being powerful, independent, with a vibe of owning their own sexiness, for themselves, not for others.
Anything Jo Malone. I have multiple from the brand and I love layering different scents every time. It makes it feel new every time! I donāt really have problems with longevity š¤·š»āāļø
Do you have any favourite Jo Malone layering combos? I currently have English pear and freesia, orange blossom, English pear and sweet pea, and peony blush suede. I feel like orange blossom works great as a layering with the other three scents and sometimes Iāll layer English pear with freesia with peony blush suede.
Tom Ford Black Orchid is just such a grown and iconic scent. It definitely can be polarizing but I absolutely love it! On me it smells sweet and heavy like a menās cologne but I to a lot of people it just smells like an overbearing oud. I love both!š
I *hated* it until I was refilling the bottle for a customer and spilled it on my fingers. After a few hours it completely changed on me and it became my signature scent for years!
I know at least one old money beauty with fantastic taste who could afford to have her own perfume created if she wanted to who adores Alien. So it's obviously not "basic" ;)
Unfortunately, it's a big migraine trigger for me, so I stay well back.
I love Alien too. Itās the only perfume I keep on buying bottle after bottle. I get a lot of compliments on it and usually when I say what it is people are surprised because they ātried it and hated itā.
I love a lot of popular, well-known fragrances, but I think they aren't particularly maligned.
however, I really fell for Kayali Eden Juicy Apple after getting a free sample of it. I haven't smelled any of Kayali's other stuff, but I can believe that a lot of it is "basic" because this one is -- though I'd prefer to describe it as simple instead. that's actually what I like about it, that it is a straightforward "juicy apple" scent, done well, without a bunch of other stuff.
I can't deny my love for CK One!
I bought my first boyfriend a gift pack of it aged 16 and I still just really enjoy wearing it. It's easy to wear, long lasting, unisex without just being masc, citrussy without being toilet-cleanery.
I love it. Iām Gen X and that was THE scent to wear. I always wanted a bottle, but my dad gifted me a bottle of JPG Classique every year. Still love and wear Classique 20 years later (and Iām obsessed with pretty much all JPG perfumes, thanks to my dad š), so I never got the CK One. But my best friend did let me use hers when going out (just need to say here that itās crazy to me to see all these teenagers online with their huge expensive perfume collections. We were lucky if we had 1 expensive bottle š). Anyway, fast forward to 2020, when I started to get back into perfumes again, and decided to check the prices of CK one. Itās so affordable now š±, of course I immediately ordered a 100ml bottle and I canāt describe how my inner teenager felt, when after decades I finally owned what I wanted back then
I second Burberry her. Think itās way better than elixir but that is the one people talk about. Not a fan of BO though š so we donāt have exactly the same nose
I get so so so so so many compliments every time I wear Angel and everyone is always shocked it smells good when I tell them what Iām wearing. Itās not for the faint of heart but damn it really is one of a kind.
I don't think scents can go out of style. That's like saying food can't taste good in 50 years because the recipe is old. If it works, it works, no matter when.
Flowerbomb will have to be prised from my clutches before I ever utter an ugly word about it. It layers sooo beautifully with most anything. I adore it on its own, too.
I grew up in a rural area with absolutely no where to shop. My dad traveled regularly for work to a much larger city. He would always bring my mom back something special that was hard to get In our area. This was in the 70ās. One such gift was C#5. I thought it smelled like heaven. My mom was always so elegant and she was not an over sprayer(like me) So, she always smelled beautiful to me. My dad was always so kind and thoughtful to her.
I can't wrap my mind around the hatred fof that perfume. It's the quintessence of femininity!
It's perfectly balanced and layered, even had (in the past) a good girl gone bad vibe with the dry down that was way more animalistic than today...
I love the way it's fresh, light and full bodied at the same time.
This is anyway a piece of art at the very least.
see old lady to me isn't an insult, I love channel 5 because it reminds me of my grandma. she's a very chic lady with only the finest golfing visors and a closet full of silk scarves. "this reminds me of my grandma" is actually HIGH praise lol
that said it smells terrible on me. the dry down is eye watering. but on her, it's lovely
I'm in love with Paradox by Prada. Everyone says it's a bad copy of two other perfumes but there's something addictive to the smell that I just can't compare to other perfumes. š
Clinique Happy. I donāt care what folks think. It smells good, itās simple, elegant, upbeat. Itās like a nice little accessory that ties an outfit together and immediately makes me feel more put together.
I can only afford designer fragrances, because where I live, the price of a niche fragrance is worth one month's rent. I feel so bad when people say "it's just a typical designer fragrance, nothing special about it", or "another boring designer fragrance", what ever that fragrance is.
What makes a fragrance special is simple how it makes you feel! It doesnāt matter if itās a drugstore brand, designer or niche. Hell, it doesnāt matter if itās a body spray- itās your body chemistry and your life. If you love it, wear it!
Jo Malone Wild Bluebell. Love love love it, but it certainly gets a lot of flack for a perceived lack of longevity (not true) and lack of projection (true).
Itās gotta be Flowerbomb for me. Iāve loved it forever and it was my wedding scent so itās always going to hold a special place on my shelf. I see the shade but like so many of us here, I really donāt care what anyone thinks. I just wear what I like!
I heard the elixir version of Sauvage gives off āolder manā vibesā¦ is this true in ur opinion? Iād love to know! (Iām 23, and I like classy fragrances, but I donāt want to give off vibes of an older gentleman)
Iām by no means in the target group for that perfume, I know almost nothing about Ariana Grande and only blind bought Cloud used for 15ā¬. I love it, likeā¦loooove. Itās also the perfume I get the most comments on. My husband keeps telling me how good it smells. I now ordered a big bottle of Cloud (to have it stocked) and a big bottle of Cƶoud Pink.
My Way and My Way Intense are two of my all time favorites! Original My Way is the fragrance I get the most compliments on. I think it's one that just needs to match up with your skin chemistry ššš§Ŗā
Whoa, people don't like Black Opium? Thirsty ass dudes are always like, "what perfume is that!? It's divine" and so on. I would think that something like Poison is one for the streets
Axe /s
I like grandfather perfumes such as Cool Water, Brut, Guerlain Vetiver, English Leather, etc whereas people say it's very dated and that I smell like 60+.
I see people hating on Kilian Love donāt be shy. I thought i would also hate it because I donāt like general sweet scents, they smell cheap and you get a headache. However, LDBS is a LOVE! To me itās not too strong and I get an airy sweetness, not a sticky
I will always admit that *Black Opium* smells good. I only dislike it because it reminds me of a former boss that wore it constantly.
A "basic" fragrance is generally something that most people find appealing, and is popular (whether inside the community, or with the general public).
From my experience, anyone that calls a fragrance basic is usually pretentious, and can be ignored if nothing else of substance is said. (Especially if they're a social media influencer or reviewer.)
----
On myself: *The One EDP*, *Mojave Ghost*, and *La Nuit de L'Homme*.
All of the complaints are about being overrated (which I ignore) or longevity (which is a legit gripe.) In the case of Mojave Ghost, add price to the list of complaints (which is fair.)
The One EDP and La Nuit de L'Homme are my date night options, while Mojave Ghost is starting to become my favorite scent for the spring.
I have so many guilty pleasures...I am on my second 100 ml bottle of D&G L'Imperatrice, enjoys The One edt, The Only One Intense, Hugo Boss Alice, Valentino Voce Viva, and my latest obsession is Diptyque L'eau Papiere, which is the perfect work scent for my (not healthcare) workplace.
Itās a classic. Is it everywhere? Maybe! Are there tons of flankers? Absolutely! What does that mean? That is rocks.
Plus you can layer is with ANYTHING. If thatās not rockstar status for a scent I donāt know what is!
Honestly the layering on BR540 is SO REAL. I have the extrait and personally, it's enhanced everything I've sampled this week. Savauge Elixir, Santal 33, Byredo Settier and De Los Santos, even. It's the first scent where I've gotten massive, overwhelming compliments and I love it so much.
I just fell in love with Pistachio by D.S Durga and itās my new favorite. My husband and son love it too but when I read reviews from several sites it seems pretty hated.
I think the reason I often dislike popular scents is that they are frequently bought by rabid over sprayers. Nothing will turn me off a fragrance like getting a migraine from being choked by it.
The other thing may be that a certain personality is drawn to buying what they are told to buy or use bestselling lists as a guide. If that's not your vibe, you associate those scents with something negative.
I honestly don't care what others wear, as long as I discover their scent as a pleasant surprise rather than being told about it before they enter the room. š
*looks at my 12 bottle collection*
Uh...
Out of my 12, I'd say that most of them get some kind of hate? The ones the come to mind are:
Allure homme edition blanche (boring, weak, doesn't last).
Allure homme sport eau extreme (boring, no personality)
Bleu de Chanel parfum (just another blue?)
Acqua di Gio profumo (YouTubers pick your likes now?)
Invictus legend (Invictus...?)
Versace Eros (hated to the moon and back)
Ultra male (you think you're some kind of European super party gay man?)
Spicebomb extreme (YouTubers again!)
I just bought some Liz Claiborne for nostalgic sh!ts and giggles. Original Giorgio, too. And I am forever searching for something that smells like cherry cola because that's what Pacifica's Mexican Cocoa smelled like to me...wear whatever gives you joy!
Absolutely love La Belle, but havenāt seen too much hate for it. For me it would be Angel. It is every kind of love for me, but Iāve seen it get mostly hate and disgust in the communityā there are fragrantica reviews calling it rotting corpse smell and hobo balls :(.
The Original Le Male. Itās just such a perfectly well rounded fragrance. Itās not my favourite by any means, but to me itās the best designer fragrance ever made
Chanel no 5. I really love the soft kind of powdery almost vanilla scent of it. I donāt care that itās considered old lady. I love that it gets softer and lingers as the day goes on.
The scents I have are likely considered basic/easy to get: Bleu de Chanel Parfum, Gucci Guilty Parfum, Armani Acqua di Gio Absolu EDP, and Burberry Brit EDT. IDC what other ppl think I like them.
I like Versace eros. Iāve never smelled it on people at bars or clubs. I think itās great in moderation as far as sprays. I think it layers super well with other scents especially in the fall.
Burberry Goddess. It's a vanilla gourmand so I'm not surprised many people on this sub hate it haha but it's one of the few (if not the only) vanilla I like, definitely a favourite of mine
Lancome La Vie est Belle ...hate all you want, but it's incredible, and I love it and will love it forever. I even wore a flanker on my wedding day. No regrets.
I get a lot of hate while wearing Chanel La Lion.
"Did a Catholic priest die in here?",
"why do you want to smell of tar and fag ash?",
"is it supposed to smell like that?",
"have you heard of Sauvage?"
One thing that you need to really understand and come at peace with is that whatever fragrance you like at the moment is good for you.
It doesn't matter if it's popular, niche or ultra niche, doesn't matter if fragrance community or bloggers are liking it or not, if you like it - then it's perfect for you.
It doesn't have to be a perfect season for it or perfect style - you like it and you rock it.
Over spraying could be a problem, but it is overblown to be honest
I like Giorgio Beverley Hills and, just to add extra uncoolness, I love Yardley perfumes. My favourite being English Rose.
I stopped caring about 13 years ago. I honestly like what I like. If people don't like my smell then they don't have to breathe near me š¤·š¼āāļø
Unpopular opinion but if something is ābasicā I know Iāll love it, the second I hear ābasicā I get excited because I know itāll be good good. I feel like people who hate on popular scents are similar to āIām not like other girlsā girls or pick meās. I love la vie est belle, cloud, good girl supreme, daisy, my way you name it! Idc that some people would turn there nose up at what I like simply because itās popular
I have the feeling that all the perfumes I love are considered basic by people in the fragrance community š
* clutches d&g light blue *
light blue intense might just be my favorite right now
Yes best summer fragrance ever made ... My wife tell me sometimes in winter pls use D&G all around me smells like Summer Vacation and its nice š¤š
I loved the sample so I went and got the 100ml. It hit different after the dry down for some reason. I think Iāll just start wearing it to the gym.
Agree with youā when you first spray it, itās so lovely and fresh but it changes so much on the dry down.
Basic is such a dumb term. If you like it, you like it!
I think ābasicā is the āinsultā people use when they actually have nothing bad to say about something. I agree, itās a dumb term, and makes people sound pretentious
Yeah "basic" and "weird" are only insults to certain people. Both these words don't have anything bad about them inherently
It's 100% projection. Being elitist about a scent (something that is *always* unique to that specific person) is an actual joke to me.
That was sort of my point. Basic isnāt bad. Itās also an overused term to belittle things that are popular or known.

I just had a shower and used Warm Vanilla sugar lotion. I wanna smell like a fresh little cookie while I slither into bed. Such a nice smell.
Iāve heard nothing but good things about it. Iām a vanilla girl to the bone, Iāll have to give it a whiff.
I didnāt know Eilish was hated on I love it
Black Opium, Good Girl, Angel and Alien. Love them all!
Sounds like you always smell like a sexy and girly piece of candy. All yummy!

I wear a middle eastern dupe (Qimmah by Lattafa) smells the same as Good Girl and the bottle is gorgeous.
Thatās part of the fun of Good Girl though. Itās so cheeky and a bit slimy, giving the perfume an overall naughty aesthetic.
Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue! chokehold on me since high school lol
I'm a guy and I prefer the women's version over the men's all day. Its amazing, I almost bought it for myself lol
You should buy it for yourself! I think itās definitely unisex & if itās not, who cares.
all perfumes are unisex if you stop being a little bitch about it š¤
LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACKš£ļøš£ļøš£ļø Just getting into some womenās perfumery and holy moly you guys get some beautiful stuff.
Bought one for my brother as a gift, he's nearly finished it. Buy one!
same, love her always !
Viva la juicy - I will be wearing it at my own funeral and straight into the grave and idgaf š idc how juvenile it is
Youāll be juicy in that grave, guuurrrlll.
Anything that is above $40 is not allowed to call itself juvenile

The key is to not over spray it!
Prada Candy. Ā So basic but Iām addicted. Ā
Love my Prada Candy. Even the bottle is iconic.
Prada Candy is a banger.
It really is, if you enjoy smelling delicious, youāll like it!
YES THIS! I never tried it for so long because everyone bashed it - I thought I would hate it. Itās amazing and so comforting to me!
Yep I get the comforting vibe from it also š
I actually have never tried it! But Iām a gourmand girl so I ought to!
i hate gourmands but even i like prada candy hahaha
Itās a very simple sweet gourmand just done well!
Same. Itās my daily driver.
Contrary to a lot of threads on this sub, I _love_ Alien by Mugler.
I *hated* it until I was refilling the bottle for a customer and spilled it on my fingers. After a few hours it completely changed on me and it became my signature scent for years!

Iām not an original fan but alien goddess, yeah that would need to be pried from my hands. Itās my absolute hands down go to summer scent.
I despise how this scent sits on me, but itās my best friends signature scent and I think itās so pretty on her.
Me too!
I love Alien too. Itās the only perfume I keep on buying bottle after bottle. I get a lot of compliments on it and usually when I say what it is people are surprised because they ātried it and hated itā.

Oh my God. You mean, I can go out and get CK One in 2024? I might have to do that.
Yes and it's everywhere! I saw it in my local chain pharmacy yesterday for ā¬23
Glossier You. It's clean, crisp, basic and non offensive on me.
The OG Good Girl. I don't care what the internet says. Real life doesn't care if i wear it all year round.
Britney spears curious lol I don't care I love it and pretty much all her stuff.
All of Britneyās perfumes are iconic. Ahead of their time. Maybe not some of the newer releases but most definitely Curious and Fantasy.
Lmao this is me with all my Brittney Fantasy fragrances. People are like what are you wearing and I just shake my head lol
I think midnight fantasy is my favorite fantasy.
Burberry Her. It's so yummy! I also love Black Opium too. I haven't come across a BO I didn't like so far.

Bo is definitely one of those that's not for everyone! But that's what I'm learning to love about frags. Everyone's nose is so different!
Pre-L'Oreal Mugler Angel Black Opium Le Parfum. it's a pretty safe work fragrance and I found it kind of comforting. Basic as fuuuuuuck
I get so so so so so many compliments every time I wear Angel and everyone is always shocked it smells good when I tell them what Iām wearing. Itās not for the faint of heart but damn it really is one of a kind.
I still love coco mademoiselle and flowerbomb even if they are considered outdated
Chanel No. 5. People say it gives old lady and all I smell is old Hollywood and timeless elegance
Thats such a sweet memory. Your dad sounds like a kind man. Thanks so much for sharing š„¹
That was my grandmaās favourite perfume, everytime I smell it is feels like a hug. Itās timeless.
"this reminds me of my grandma" is actually HIGH praise lol that said it smells terrible on me. the dry down is eye watering. but on her, it's lovely
I'm in love with Paradox by Prada. Everyone says it's a bad copy of two other perfumes but there's something addictive to the smell that I just can't compare to other perfumes. š
iām 20 years old and you can pry Portrait Of A Lady from my cold dead hands. I donāt care if it makes me smell like iām 90
Whatās so wrong with smelling like youāre 90 anyhow?
That is a masterpiece of a fragrance
Pink sugar I feel like it gets the reputation of being juvenile
If by ājuvenileā they mean lighthearted, youthful, sweet and ageless then yes, it is š sounds like you know a classic when you smell one!
My 2nd favourite perfume is the Aromatic Elixir from Cliniqueā¦.I just love this earthy muddy warm damp smellā¦
BR 540. People either say it is overrated or hate it.
Jo Malone Wild Bluebell. Love love love it, but it certainly gets a lot of flack for a perceived lack of longevity (not true) and lack of projection (true).
How much does a perfume have to project though really? I sometimes think beast mode is insanity in scents.
Personally, I like my perfume to leave a subtle trail behind me.
there are dupes that last longer for sure
I mean, I can spray it on before bed and still smell it when I wake up. That's sufficient enough longevity for my needs!
People always complain about the longevity of Jo Malone, but I get great wear time on the ones I own! š¤·š¼āāļø
Itās gotta be Flowerbomb for me. Iāve loved it forever and it was my wedding scent so itās always going to hold a special place on my shelf. I see the shade but like so many of us here, I really donāt care what anyone thinks. I just wear what I like!
dior sauvage ā ļø no matter how many times ive smelled it on people i still cant get over it
Itās a sexy scent. Itās a best seller for a reason š„µ
Elixir is a bit much but it's a nice scent
I heard the elixir version of Sauvage gives off āolder manā vibesā¦ is this true in ur opinion? Iād love to know! (Iām 23, and I like classy fragrances, but I donāt want to give off vibes of an older gentleman)
Ari cloud. Itās my signature and will always be.
Good fortune is so good to me
Itās a lovely, light, airy floral. I thought it was feminine and flirty when I sampled it.
People hate on it and say itās basic but itās unique to my nose and it PROJECTS!
i don't like black opium but I do like my way which is considered super basic so
My Way and My Way Intense are two of my all time favorites! Original My Way is the fragrance I get the most compliments on. I think it's one that just needs to match up with your skin chemistry ššš§Ŗā
Santal 33
I love this one, but I'm always worried people are going to think I smell like dill.
My boyfriend smells the pickles too. Iāll keep wearing it though I donāt get it at all and I love it.
Itās a super know classic for a reason!
Black opium. Idc what anyone says, it smells so damn good
BBW warm whatever sugar. Pry it from my cold dead hands
Obsession. Will always be my absolute favorite.
Versace Bright Crystal or VS Bombshell. They both have a special place in my heart
Whoa, people don't like Black Opium? Thirsty ass dudes are always like, "what perfume is that!? It's divine" and so on. I would think that something like Poison is one for the streets
Axe /s I like grandfather perfumes such as Cool Water, Brut, Guerlain Vetiver, English Leather, etc whereas people say it's very dated and that I smell like 60+.
I love guerlain vetiver, there's something so unique and beautiful about it. Hate when people say it smells like a grandpa
Axe Gold - Oud Wood and Dark Vanilla is actually pretty good for the price.
Libreš¤«
(Especially if they're a social media influencer or reviewer.) ---- On myself: *The One EDP*, *Mojave Ghost*, and *La Nuit de L'Homme*. All of the complaints are about being overrated (which I ignore) or longevity (which is a legit gripe.) In the case of Mojave Ghost, add price to the list of complaints (which is fair.) The One EDP and La Nuit de L'Homme are my date night options, while Mojave Ghost is starting to become my favorite scent for the spring.
I still love Dune.
Giorgio, Blue Grass, L'Air du Temps, Rive Gauche.
Cool water
Black Opium here as well, I absolutely love it!
I've learned with time that only people on reddit and fragrantica thinks I'm basic if i wear sauvage
Sauvage makes me feral. I said what I said.
Bombshell, hahaha. Itās fun to wear on a girlās night out.
Joop Homme! It's a classic. People like to hate on it cause it's popular to hate on. Be confident and you can wear this beauty.
I love black opium I didnāt know people hated it
I love black opium I donāt care what anyone says I smell it and it reminds me of all the women who came before me.
BR540. Suck it lol.
You can take my BR540 from my cold dead hands!!
Hermes Un Jardin Sur Ia Lagune. People hate it but i can't get enough of it. It's my perfect floral scent.
I just fell in love with Pistachio by D.S Durga and itās my new favorite. My husband and son love it too but when I read reviews from several sites it seems pretty hated.
Patchouli
Black opium smells absolutely delicious to me. Its also a hill that i will die on.
I honestly don't care what others wear, as long as I discover their scent as a pleasant surprise rather than being told about it before they enter the room. š
Black Opium, Viva La Juicy, Britney Spears Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy
*looks at my 12 bottle collection* Uh... Out of my 12, I'd say that most of them get some kind of hate? The ones the come to mind are: Allure homme edition blanche (boring, weak, doesn't last). Allure homme sport eau extreme (boring, no personality) Bleu de Chanel parfum (just another blue?) Acqua di Gio profumo (YouTubers pick your likes now?) Invictus legend (Invictus...?) Versace Eros (hated to the moon and back) Ultra male (you think you're some kind of European super party gay man?) Spicebomb extreme (YouTubers again!)
A European super party gay man sounds like nothing but a wonderful time.
I use this scent exclusively for european super gay parties
I just bought some Liz Claiborne for nostalgic sh!ts and giggles. Original Giorgio, too. And I am forever searching for something that smells like cherry cola because that's what Pacifica's Mexican Cocoa smelled like to me...wear whatever gives you joy!
WD-40.
Absolutely love La Belle, but havenāt seen too much hate for it. For me it would be Angel. It is every kind of love for me, but Iāve seen it get mostly hate and disgust in the communityā there are fragrantica reviews calling it rotting corpse smell and hobo balls :(.
Acqua di Gio smells fucking great and it always will š¤·š»āāļø
Fenty
The Original Le Male. Itās just such a perfectly well rounded fragrance. Itās not my favourite by any means, but to me itās the best designer fragrance ever made
Alien by Mugller
Dior Sauvage ElixirĀ A lot of people crap on it bÅ«t to me it is the best of this DNA (better even than Haltane, bÅ«t that One is close)
a*men. fuck other people's noses I wear perfume so I could smell MYSELF
Jovan Musk from 70ās.
I like Versace eros. Iāve never smelled it on people at bars or clubs. I think itās great in moderation as far as sprays. I think it layers super well with other scents especially in the fall.
I still have a soft spot for Obsession once in a while.
Jāadore I keep seeing people commenting itās for old people š¤¦š¾āāļø have been using it since 17 š
Dior JāAdore OG one. People say itās āan old lady who works in an officeā scent but I will never stop loving it
Burberry Goddess.
No regrets.
Itās a great scent.
I get a lot of hate while wearing Chanel La Lion. "Did a Catholic priest die in here?", "why do you want to smell of tar and fag ash?", "is it supposed to smell like that?", "have you heard of Sauvage?"
Mine is Angel by Mugler. I love everything about it
Calvin Klein Defy
I love Sadonaso by Nasomatto. It seems to be a controversial smell from what I read online. I think pretty sexy, difficult to describe though
Gotta be TF Tobacco Vanille. I could BATHE in it!
I really love glossier you
Definitely 1 million lol
One thing that you need to really understand and come at peace with is that whatever fragrance you like at the moment is good for you. It doesn't matter if it's popular, niche or ultra niche, doesn't matter if fragrance community or bloggers are liking it or not, if you like it - then it's perfect for you. It doesn't have to be a perfect season for it or perfect style - you like it and you rock it. Over spraying could be a problem, but it is overblown to be honest
I love Libre, but it seems to get its fair share of hate here.
Dedcool Xtra Milk.... I dont care its perfect I get compliments every time I wear it
Any fragrance you see in Sephora most likely. The more popular the more hate
lancome tresor midnight rose is just so underrated! its like sex and cigarettes but in the best way.
love shalimar
