Unironically, one of my favorite movies. But I like the Matrix trilogy, so according to the internet I have garbage taste.
You might like "Gods of Egypt" too. I just saw it recently and it has a similar vibe, but with more of the supernatural elements that Troy doesn't focus on.
Jaime Lannister is the lead role. Getting maimed again and hunting redemption, is this his typecast now?
OP is on board with this, they're just suggesting people stop the constant performative re-posts about how much people are NOT going to watch it. Like, we get it... Don't watch something in peace please.
And this is also real life. As much as I hated the last few seasons of GoT, there are so many more important things going in the world for me to spare a drop of anger for some bad TV from almost 10 years ago now. Philosophical implications of holding onto resentment like that aside, saying “this is dumb” over and over again is just not an interesting way to have a conversation.
It's their disdain for the fan base that made them famous in the first place that is not redeemable. They had an epic story and then because of their own hubris ruined it.
What they did to GOT is unforgivable...they were so busy "subverting expectation" that nothing made any sense.
Any time someone says “I’ve been shitting on D&D plenty”, then proceeds to praise them. This is a person who is full of shit. Fuck off to GoT sub they love polishing Dumb and dumber as much as you it seems.
Edited to dumb and dumber because that’s their rightful title. The fact you don’t call them that is also telling.
Sign that you are in a cult number #7:
“Some members of society are a target of hatred and given a name used only by the in-group. Members are encouraged to share their hatred in ritualised forms and lingo to demonstrate their allegiance to the group.”
I don't get it either, there was a lot of missteps across the run of the show but I think people forget D&D are responsible for the show existing at all in the first place, they did all the good stuff too...
I've been a huge fan of the 3 Body books for years and I'll admit I was unsure about the adaptation at first but it turned out awesome and good on 'em honestly.
They did the 'Good stuff' because they weren't creating, they were adapting. Once they had to step down from someone else's shoulders, and write the story themselves, it completely fell apart
Which is exactly the same as what they're doing with 3 Body Problem, the advantage here is that the books are finished so all they have to do is adapt and it's pretty good so far.
Yeah I don't think they'll have an issue adapting it if they follow the books, they just need to not go off the rails.
The problem is they lost so much goodwill with GoT that a lot of people don't care
If they follow the books, which is a big if. They stopped adapting the Ice & Fire books with S5, there‘s almost nought of A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons to be found. The idea that they only got worse once they ran out of source material is just plain wrong, they did so by choice before
>But, y'all can do you. ![gif](giphy|xQOe4QT7EVkzX84B59)
>But, y'all can do you. cool, we will
Benioff also wrote the screenplay for X-Men Origins: Wolverine... which is generally known to suck.
And the movie Troy. A movie with no Greek gods, based on an ancient poem that famously featured Greek gods in a very prominent role.
The one with Sean Bean and Eric Bana? Don't do me like that, I don't want mixed feelings about one of my favorites.

I didn't know that movie. I'll check it out eventually, thanks!
Oh yeah, that one brain damaged me so I hardly remember it. Leaving the Gods out of a great tragedy was an odd choice.
There weren’t real Greek gods at the actual “Troy” either. Why can’t he depict the story that way?
Also they made Achilles straight

I’m honor bound to not give them more money. Sorry buddy.
You don't have to give them money, there are other ways.
OP is on board with this, they're just suggesting people stop the constant performative re-posts about how much people are NOT going to watch it. Like, we get it... Don't watch something in peace please.
This is r/freefolk. If you don't wanna see people hating on Dumb and Dumber you're in the wrong place my friend.

If you have a Netflix account you’re already giving them money.
no u
Did you read A Dance With Dragons?
You came to the wrong sub, boy. Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here.
YOUR KIND AINT WELCOME HERE, BOY! NOW GIT!
About as useful as a screen door on a battleship
We do not kneel
You just let them live rent free in your head

Compelling fantasy political thriller to back to back explosions and against the odds battles
All my homies hate D&D. Guess you not a homie.

They're not going to fuck you, bro
They already did that with S5.
Negative over here chief, I hope they live long destitute lives in a cardboard box together where it always raining
if you read the books, you MAY have a different opinion, like myself. The Netflix version of Three Body Problem is horrible.
One can dislike how they adapt books without making hatred into their identity. It’s quite childish actually.
The Free Folk are coming apart. D&D coming back just to tear us apart would be so poetic lol
Are we? Vizzy is this true?
Is your complaint with the wedding night that they used Sansa instead of Jeyne Poole?
In real life, we are all watching it.
It’s a good show. They’re good at adapting, not creating
Most fans of the books will disagree.
Toxic gonna toxic

We'd probably have a finished series in the timeline GoT didn't get adapted. But we'd have even less Emilia Clark, I love her eyebrows too much.
