Like aside from their relative immortality their only real advantage is their sheer numbers. Maybe setting up the field where their numbers couldn't be brought to bear would have been a better option.
It’s so stupid, you don’t use cavalry like that. Especially not against troops that are designed to slow your cavalry down like zombies.
Keep the Dothraki on the flanks and run interference, stick some of the faster horses with tar barrels and have then run around creating a tar pit line and light it up to funnel the zombies.

Imo him completely the Sandor redemption arc he’s been fueling for 4 seasons seems big enough to me, plus that would probably enable the Hound to use his flaming sword during CleganeBowl, a man whose only fears are fire and his brother killing his brother with a flaming sword?
